14 Best Prime Rib Dinners to Try in Los Angeles - Eater LA

Among the many steakhouses in Los Angeles, Alexander’s Steakhouse has always stood out with its distinct identity—and it’s my personal favorite. From the ambiance to the service to the dishes themselves, everything is impeccable. It’s exactly how I imagine an old-school romantic date night would feel. Nestled right next to Pasadena City Hall, the atmosphere is elegant and refined, with a dining experience that feels like a ceremony. I truly felt like I had stepped into a classic film as the leading lady. While it’s a traditional upscale American steakhouse, the menu pleasantly surprises with refined Japanese influences. Here are a few unforgettable dishes from that evening: Uni Toast This was so good I’m seriously considering coming back just to take two orders to-go for lunch. Easily one of the top uni toasts I’ve ever had. Uni + wagyu is a winning combo, but the real star was the toast—layered, rich, and full of umami. Beef Tartare A literal work of art. Stunning presentation, and the taste? A solid 10/10. Kobe Wagyu The highlight of the night. No words needed for the satisfaction that comes from perfectly marbled Kobe beef. The six types of finishing salts were such a thoughtful touch. Maine Lobster Tender Boston lobster paired with a yuzu butter sauce—perfectly balanced and refreshing. Beyond the food, the cocktails we ordered—Make You Look and Blood & Flowers—were absolutely gorgeous (almost too pretty to drink). Even the complimentary bread was served with three kinds of butter, and we were surprised with handmade marshmallows at the end. Every single detail met the high standards of fine dining. Whether it’s a first date, anniversary, or birthday dinner, this place never disappoints.

Came here for our 5 year anniversary a day after valentines day. They still celebrated the valentines holiday which was nice. I booked reservations a month advance and only early dinners reservations were available before 6pm or after 8pm. Just goes to show you how good and popular this place is. Ive always heard good things from the one in the bayarea so wanted to take the wife here Everything from the hostess, the service, the waiter, food runners and such were magnificent. Fabian our waiter, sorry if i mispelled his name, was fantastic. Alexanders were giving out roses to each customer + they gave us a congratulations card for our anniversary Now on to the food, We ordered cavier, never had it, but wifey wanted to try. It was very delicious with options to add what you want on the blinis Chef have us 2 samplings of a cucumber pickle with gochuhang and black garlic emulsion. Was good but not my cup of tea The 3 types of bread and the 3 butters were delicious I forgot the names of it all but it was sort of a bone marrow honey, sea salt european butter and a semi cheese one. The honey butter was delicious and so was all 3 breads Wife got filet mignon and ingot the australian wagyu filet mignon. Both had chive butter ontop and i ordered a side of peppercorn sauce. Wife rarely likes peppercorn but she loved this one. I agree. The steaks were very tasty and cooked to perfection. I got mines medium rare n wife got medium. We had a side of the mash potatoes Which was pretty standard but still delicious We ordered soufle apple and creme brulee Both were sweet but not overly sugary They gave us complimentary strawberry cotton candy, cheesecake with blueberry compote and bon bons fark chocolate with side of fruit tarts Wifey loved the dining experience and the flavor of the food. Nothing felt similar in terms of flavor profile and the staff definetly made the wife feel special. Would come back even if its not a special ocassion

I don't usually write reviews, but Alexander's Steakhouse inspired me! French accent server was so kind and not pushy at all. Everything we ordered he supported us without pressure to order more. We were there for my husband's bday and they made it special with a bday card, cheesecake dessert, and champagne! Our bone in ribeye was perfect! Everything was delicious. Service was perfect! It was our first time there and so glad we tried it! How can you go wrong with cotton candy! Yes please! We will be thinking of more occasions to come again!

Google
Without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest dining experience I have ever had. Everything was absolutely perfect. Immaculate service and gorgeous interior. The food was out of this world too, stunning and delicious. The A5 miyazaki wagyu steak was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. I got the omakase, and it was super worth it. This one dining experience makes up for a year’s worth of eating out. If you have the privilege of dining here you will not be disappointed, and will remember it for the rest of your life.

I have been here multiple times and their service has always been absolutely amazing! The food is out of this world. I would go back over and over again. Definitely get the hamachi shots.

Google
By far one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The food was to die for but the service was beyond impeccable. We didn’t want for a thing! From the amuse bouche to the dessert and after dinner drinks, this far exceeded our last minute reservation expectations.

Have a dinner to celebrate my parents in law anniversary and birthday. They prepared some special treatments for them. 🥳 Service staffs are well-knowledgeable and friendly. Food is great for sure. 讚岐 wagyu is tasty. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant. :D

Definitely enjoyed my experience at Alexander’s. Steaks were juicy and flavorful alongside with their delicious sides. Service was exceptional, our server made sure our glasses were never empty and our plates were cleared in a timely manner and his recommendations were all spot on.

Yelp
I feel like it's long overdue for an updated review of Alexander's Steakhouse in Pasadena. This is particularly poignant as they were closed for quite a long time and I wasn't even sure if they were going to reopen. Well, I have now come here twice in the last year and one thing remains constant: if there is a better steakhouse in the L.A. area than Alexander's, I haven't been to it yet. Of course, the food is always top-notch here. As far as appetizers go, you can never go wrong with their signature hamachi shots or the very rich uni toast. Although last time, the grilled Spanish octopus and and Hokkaido scallops definitely hit the spot. When it comes to steaks, they simply cannot be topped. First visit last year, I went with the 28 oz Westholme F1 Australian Wagyu Bone-In Ribeye. Second visit last year, I shared an absolutely glorious 43 oz Black Opal Australian Wagyu Tomahawk. These guys are professionals know how to cook a damn good steak! And as far as sides go, do not sleep on the fried rice with added pork belly. Always hits the spot. But as usual, it's the service that sets Alexander's apart from everywhere else. Just absolute top-notch service every time. They really go out of their way to make your meal special. Whether it's reciting the menu to make sure you know the best options for your meal, making sure the food comes out promptly and prepared perfectly, or free desserts (and the trademark cotton candy!), they just know what to do here. Ambience has always been fantastic here. As I said before, elegant yet modern. Tables are spaced well enough so you're not cramped and feel like you're near anyone. High ceilings help a lot as well. And for the first time, I didn't sit in the main dining room! It was a pretty cool experience being next to the open kitchen. I don't know why I ever doubted Alexander's after going to other steakhouses in the city. There are truly levels to this game and Alexander's is at the top of it. Highly recommended for a special occasion or a nice dinner out. Alexander does not miss!

Yelp
Parked underground that's shared with the hotel. Came here for a work dinner, got seated in one of the conference rooms with about 30 guests. They were kind of slow when refilling drinks such as water and our club soda which was surprising. The salad was pretty tasty, the steak was cooked medium however even with the sauce it wasn't as flavorful as I thought, mashed potato was nice and creamy and the baby broccoli still had a crunch to it. I didn't get to the cheesecake cause we had to go home but overall it was a good experience. The rest of the restaurant has a romantic feel to it. Wouldn't mind coming again however with the "tasting" menu I wasn't too impressed.

Yelp
Second time visiting.. I wasn't really impressed. Prob won't go again. Meh: Beef tar tar Broccolini Brussel sprouts Uni Average. I've had better: Steak Scallop Chocolate cake Pumpkin cheese cake Pretty good but don't care enough to get again Kale salad Fries Crème brûlée The only item I truly enjoyed was bread.

Yelp
Ordered the wagyu bone in ribeye. Terrible piece of meat. Definitely was not wagyu. Will never come back to dine here again.

Yelp
Best steakhouse I've been to. I came here for my 10 year wedding anniversary and ordered the kobe wagyu. It was delicious. And our waiter, mauricio was very polite and took care of us. We will definitely coming back.

Yelp
We were invited to celebrate my niece's birthday at Alexander's. The ambiance and the service were excellent. Foods were delicious and beautifully presented. It's a great venue for special occasions.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We ordered several appetizers and split a ribeye. Beef tartare and shrimp cocktail were bursting with flavor. I'm not sure what was on the shrimps but they were delicious. Hamachi shots and scallops were also very good. Our ribeye was cooked perfectly but nothing special, as good as any steakhouse. Overall service was good and despite the prices, this is a preferred steakhouse over a Flemings or Ruth.

Yelp
My absolute favorite steakhouse, this place was delicious and service was above and beyond incredible. It is a large restaurant that can accommodate both couples and large groups. We tried all 6 of their cuts of wagyu beef, and each one provided a whole different experience. Every single cut was tender and juicy, but my favorites were the Miyazaki, Kobe, and Oita which was extremely fatty. They also gave us 6 different salts to pair with the steak: black salt, cancale, sel d'antibes, appalachian salt, smoked salt, sal de gusano. We also had the caviar which was delicious, tasted fresh and well presented. The tartare came on bread with slices of truffle on top. However, although I love tartare, this dish was a pass. The bread to tartare ratio was too off and it overpowered the tartare. The rib eye (which I believe is dry aged) was extremely tender. This was the best ribeye I've ever had and it was especially good with the butter. Speaking of butter-- not pictured is the bread with the beef butter and honey butter inside a bone marrow they served us. Both were good, especially the honey butter. This was also the best truffle pasta I've ever had. The sauce was so creamy. I also love Kumamoto oysters because even though they're smaller, they're sweeter than normal oysters. They were super fresh and I believe they only serve oysters no older than 48 hours old. Lobster mac is a must at any steakhouse, and this one did not disappoint. Not pictured is the fried rice which was recommended but could have done without. However, the broccolini was worth an order, and I loved the hint of sourness in it. We had two desserts but I'll just include my favorite: the yuzu cheesecake! They typically give this for anniversaries & birthdays.

Yelp
1,000th YELP REVIEW GOES TO ALEXANDERS! BEST OYSTERS I'VE EVER HAD! Yes, their steaks are perfectly cooked medium rare. Yes, the chef is a master at blending unique ingredients to create delicious magic in your mouth. Yes, they have so many different wines & liquors that their book is as thick as the Bible. Yes, they're classy and will start your meal with complimentary champagne if you're celebrating something special. Yes, their servers and staff are attentive and knowledgeable and genuinely happy to work. Yes, they give you free cotton candy to make you feel like a kid again. All of these reasons are why I'm giving 5-stars but the number one reason why I'll be coming back to Alexander's is because their raw oysters are impeccably clean, sweet and uniquely delicious! The BEST I've ever had and I've eaten a ton of oysters lol. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. I'm a fan! Only let down was their seared wagyu crispy rice appetizer. Please use white rice the hardened brown rice was not crispy but chewy not in a good way with weird aftertaste.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved it. Only bad thing was we didn't make reservations early enough and we're seated outside. Definitely would recommend sitting inside to get the full on experience of how amazing this place is. The interior is very modern and towards the bar area. It is geared toward bourbon lovers. Service and staff beyond amazing. Everyone was helpful and eager to help. Started off with the oysters, which are basically just oysters, but definitely fresh. Tried the Hamachi shooter that everyone talks about and definitely gave that a 10 out of 10. Tried the shrimp and those were good. Just a little pricey for the size but still amazing. Everyone talks about the bread with a different butters and again top-notch. Went ahead and got the regular fillet. Added the blue cheese to it. If you're feeling like you're a Baller, then I recommend the Australian Wagyu or the A5. The salmon also was phenomenal. Ended the night with the soufflé and their chocolate lava cake. Will definitely be back for our next special occasion.

Yelp
Definitely a great place for a special date! Came for a friends birthday, and service was top tier. We were able to understand the menu and order what they had. We all collectively thought that the medium rare was a bit too rare, as I couldn't chew some parts of it. They had no problem in remaking our steaks, which then came out the way we envisioned it. Place is very pricey, so make sure you come here with that mindset.

Yelp
Alexander's is my favorite steakhouse and im surprised i haven't left a review before. We have been to several steakhouses and from the service to the food, Alexanders is always top notch! The complimentary bread that they give is always delicious and when we celebrated our anniversary they even gave us two glasses of champagne. Steak is always cooked perfectly (medium rare is how we like it) and the sides are always divine. the mac and cheese and the broccolini are always heavenly. The bone marrow they offer is delicious as well. If you are on the fence, don't be. you will never regret a trip to alexanders.

Yelp
Our friends took us here for my husband's birthday, and we were promptly seated upon arrival for a party of four. Service throughout the night was fantastic and we ordered many things on the menu. We enjoyed everything that we ate especially the steak, of course. The desserts were also beautifully presented and were all delicious. The cotton candy at the end was also super fun! We appreciated the welcome drink provided as well. The overall ambience of the restaurant makes for a three fancy celebratory dinner. We'll be back!

Yelp
Incredible service! I brought my wife for our anniversary. Jayce made the night even more special by helping me surprise her w a new ring. If you want to do something special make a reservation and put it in the details. They will read it, prepare ahead and call you. Not only did they help w this special moment but the steaks are some of the best I've tried. Try one of the wagyu. Just do it. Trust. However, if it's not in your budget it's ok I'm sure the cut you order will be cooked to perfection. I asked Jayce (waiter) what temp he recommended for the steak and wagyu I got. They know, so ask. The sides; Mac, fries and mash potatoes are so good too but they are shareable portions so plan ahead for that. Ambiance is chill, not too many people so your party will enjoy privacy and excellent service. Shout to Jayce and his team. Thank you!

Yelp
Had an amazing experience with my family at Alexander's. Everyone who greeted our table was very attentive and treated us like royalty. The manager introduced himself and ensured our evening was nothing but excellent. One of the servers suggested I tried their Barbacoa Mezcal drink which I absolutely LOVED. Will definitely be coming back :)

Yelp
Did the $185 omakase - it was great value and included A5. I was super pleased and surprised with the complimentary yuzu cheesecake that cane after the strawberry mousse cake. I was also pleasantly delighted with the pork kakuni that was reminiscent of elevated pork belly and quail eggs. Overall, beautiful plating. The only parts of the omakase I firmly believe should not be in there: the beet salad and the lobster ravioli. The beet salad could have benefitted from more cheese and less beet. The lobster ravioli smelled funky but tasted better than it smelled. Our server, Tim, was attentive and everyone was super hospitable! Parking is validated for two hours downstairs. Ambience: there were people who were dressed in golf polos but also people who dressed business casual. Lights are nice and dim, it's a very romantic place. I also saw families having dinner here too.

Yelp
Celebrated my bday at Alexander's today and was a perfect dinner thanks to Laurencio great service friendly and at this point I think he's my go to man for service the food was amazing and let's not forget the free cotton candy. The ambiance is very nice overall a great experience recommend this place to anyone!!! Thanks Laurencio

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! I don't know how I've never been here. We had a very large party so we got a private room and the menu was semi preset. We got a couple of starters including oysters and bacon wrapped shrimp. The prefixe included a salad, entree, and dessert. Everything was delicious and well presented. The service was impeccable as well. I ordered the ribeye as my entree.. blue.. and it came out perfect. If I have a chance to visit again, will want to come back and try some other stuff.

Yelp
The evening didn't start out as well as I would have liked. I reserved through Open Table and made a specific seating request. Unfortunately, my request wasn't accommodated. In fact, I was told that the last two booths were given to other guests 15 minutes prior to my on time arrival. To his credit, our server Frederic was able to salvage the evening by providing superior service. He was very apologetic, and made us feel more valued. His level of service was outstanding. He was very professional and attentive. Dinner was delicious. We both ordered the filet, which was one of the best that I've ever had. The temperature was perfect and the seasoning was spot on. We accompanied our steaks with mashed potatoes and the fried rice.

Yelp
Loved this place from the location to the staff and service. We had a great experience with the omakase tasting menu for food and wine. I would say that it's worth trying it once, but probably not something I would do again because it did not blow me away. Service was outstanding, and food was tasty, but we everyone agreed that nothing stood out after to say we need to go back and do the tasting menu again. We would go back and order off the regular menu for sure.

Yelp
This was the first time my wife and I ate here. The food was excellent and the service superb! I have eaten at many steakhouses and this is the best one I have been to.

Yelp
WOW! If you are ever needing to go to a place where literally everything you eat is delicious then you need to come here. First of all the staff was very talkative and helpful they know just about everything in the menu. My favorite was the mashed potatoes....I've had mashed potatoes but let me tell you these were the creamiest, thickest, yummiest mashed potatoes ever! The ice cream in the desert was indescribable, just come here like there's no other words for it. I'm trying to explain everything in this review but I just can't you need to go experience this place for yourself.

Yelp
This was not just a meal, it was an experience not to be forgotten. The restaurant exudes class and elegance. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and provided a congratulations card upon being seated. Our captain was nothing but attentive, respectful,, and knowledgeable. He was easily able to recommend us wine and courses to suit our palette. Our time was started with a German wine then followed by a display and explanation of various breads and butters, each with their own unique flavor. We were then brought the steal of the night, wagyu tartare with caviar and quail egg with bone marrow mousse. The tartare was succeeded by: - The Wedge Salad (sweet peanut dressing · pancetta · rock shrimp · amazu) - Chilled oysters (ginger sesame condiment) We were greeted with our main courses for the night which were all cooked to absolute perfection. - Brussel Sprouts (spanish chorizo · picante emulsion · garlic) - Fried rice + salmon (lap-xuong · sesame · tobiko) - 28 oz · Westholme F1 wagyu · Australia To wrap up our exquisite evening, we ordered - Rompope crème brûlée (cinnamon ice cream) - Cookies n cream soufflé (crème anglaise) We were also gifted a congratulatory cake, paired with chocolate mints topped with 24k gold, and a vanilla tart. To finalize the night, each patron received a cotton candy to take with them. Without a doubt, we would recommend for your special celebrations.

Yelp
Best steakhouse, in Los Angeles, and possibly America. From service to food... I love these kind of places where you can dress how you want, I can wear a hat... and still enjoy a nice $200 or $300 dinner without feeling like I'm being judged. I've spent at least ten thousand dollars here over the last few years. I've brought my employees here a ton of times (none of my employees would dress up for anything, even if I ask them to), and this place never made any of us feel like we were unwelcome. More steakhouses and restaurants in general should learn from this place. By the way, did I mention that the food and service is incredible. They never get my order wrong, unlike Ruth Chris, which gets it wrong every time and forces me to dress to their standards. I hope Alexander's stays in business forever, and I will continue to patronize with my dollars.

Yelp
My husband & I had a belated Valentine's dinner here on 02/15/24. I booked a resy via open table with no trouble at all. When entering I was already impressed with the vibrant atmosphere especially how they decorated for Valentine's day. It's sophisticated, but very dim inside. It's quite romantic, classy with an upscale feel. We did dress up for this. What we ordered Hamachi Shot 10/10 Caesar Salad (crunchy small portion 8/10) Chilled Oysters (10/10, refreshing Royal Miyagi) Bone in Ribeye; West holme F1 Australian Wagyu 28 oz (10/10 so much flavor, so tender, & you know we gotta get it MEDIUM RARE, PHENOMENAL) Lobster tail: (8.5/10 it was delicious, but the portion was quite small we weren't expecting it to be that tiny, we probably won't order it again) Fried Rice (A little dry it was ok 7.5/10) Mac & Cheese (we love cheese so we were a bit disappointed in this 5/10) Brussel Sprouts (8.5/10 flavorful, crunch. It had chorizo in it which was quite different than your basic Vinaigrette brussel sprouts) Molten Chocolate Lava Cake (it wasn't a lava, but I may have dipped my spoon too far from the middle perhaps, 8.5/10) Espresso (a single shot, woke me up 10/10) Cotton Candy (we had two, 1 at our table, 1 to go) His Drink: Old fashion x2 Her Drink: Too Excited to Siesta x2 Our overall experience was great! Our waiter was very attentive, explaining the entire menu to us as it was our first time. There was nothing for us to complain about as our server delivered exceptional service and was polite the entire time! We had quite a bit of leftovers and he also offered to pack it for us too! Side note: the reason why we had so many leftovers is because we kept asking for more bread BECAUSE LET ME TELL YOU THEY HAD THIS BONE MARROW BUTTER THAT WAS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 . Anyone know if they sell it asking for a friend lol. Though this was quite the dent in our wallet we both agreed it was worth every penny spent. We will be back! P.S: I don't have any images of the food, but I created a reel via IG at @alyssucaneat feel free to check it out!

Yelp
Everything about our experience was excellent from start to finish. The space itself is very beautiful and is a great mix of old school steakhouse vibes with a modern twist. We did go on a Wednesday evening so it was not busy, but regardless I believe the service would have been just as amazing if it were more crowded. The staff was incredible and I truly felt so special the entire visit. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and the restaurant left a little note and brought us a complimentary glass of champagne. It truly is the little touches that matter. The food is excellent and I love the fusion style. At the end of the meal they brought out a house cotton candy and an extra little dessert for us to celebrate. While this is a bit on the pricier end I feel it is absolutely went every penny. The quality of the filthy outstanding customer service truly will well create an exceptional dining experience!

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Price: $$$$ ($50-$100+) Came here last year and this review has been long overdue. I've been to a couple of steakhouse in Pasadena and Alexander is definitely on top of the list when it comes to what you expect of a fine dining steakhouse. The food was excellent! You can tell they source their product from the best vendor. I requested a medium and it came out like what I asked. The steak was tender. The service was impeccable! I would say this is the best service I've had in a steakhouse for a while. Our waiter give us recommendation from the menu and everything was delicious! Alexander's steakhouse has definitely earned their spot on my top 5 steakhouses.

Yelp
Tried omakase for my bday. Every dish look small, but it end up couldn't even finish my dessert It's worth to try omakase if u like various of food. Service is good and welcoming!

Yelp
My wife brought me here for my birthday. Every year we go to a steakhouse, but this was our first time here. While everything was great, the highlights for me were the brussel sprouts, bone marrow and cookies and cream souffle. Wow those were good. The parking was easy (free 90 minutes) and the service was top notch. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We always try to find new restaurants to dine at and lucked out when we found Alexander's. If you are looking for a 5 star experience with exceptional steaks, fish and service then this is your place. We started at the bar for a few pre dinner cocktails and then moved to the dining room. We were greeted by Fabian who was beyond professional, very detailed and so very patient with our questions and lack of ordering in a timely manner ( due to great conversation). If I was to own a restaurant, I would want all my staff to train with Fabian, he's just one of those servers that adds to the 5 star dining experience. This restaurant is beautiful, easy structure parking, great vibes and we didn't want to leave, in fact we were there past closing. We were served table bread with different types of butter, complimentary glasses of champagne and a fun swirl of cotton candy to end the night. We ordered steak and fish with a few sides to share. All was absolutely delicious , done to perfection and we highly recommend a date night here. Make your reservation today. Cheers!

3.5 stars (rounded up) This place has been on my list to try for several years, ever since my husband went with a couple of friends while I was on a trip, and I saw pictures of his meal and the cotton candy! So our wedding anniversary felt like a great occasion to try this. We had a great meal, but some points are worth mentioning as they took away from our overall experience. When we arrived, they had a nice "Happy Anniversary" card on the table. We were sat in a corner near a fireplace, and I liked the positioning of our table. Unfortunately, we may have been a bit forgotten where we were. Our bread and butter never arrived, even after our server said he'd go get it. We could have asked again for it, but I don't think I should have had to - every other table got theirs. The server also never offered us a second round of drinks, and we mostly just saw food runners for most of the meal, so by the time the server checked back in, we decided to just skip another drink. Their loss. We were encouraged to order the Japanese steak; I believe the servers here are mostly salespeople, and they do a good job of upselling you. I've never ordered a $480 steak for 2 people, but somehow I was convinced we'd be fools to order the American steaks. It was a REALLY delicious steak, but NOT $480 great. I'm still glad we ordered it, if even just to say we tried it! My favorite parts of the meal were the bone marrow, the steak, and the fries. And the cotton candy that comes free with your bill :) The salad with goat cheese and the hamachi shooters were kinda meh, as was the asparagus side. The worst part of the meal was the "molten" chocolate cake. This was a cold/lukewarm chocolate sponge cake with some chocolate ganache/hot fudge (but not hot) squirted inside of it. I've had a better molten cake at Chili's. The scoop of ice cream that comes with it was literally 1 tablespoon. All in all, it was still a delicious meal and a special treat for us, and we ate every single bite. But some of the mediocre sides and service issues left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Not enough to complain or demand anything, but just not what you expect paying $800 for dinner for two. Parking was easy and about $6 after validation from the restaurant.

Yelp
Parking was easy since it was underground. Went for a dinner celebration for my husband. We were greeted promptly and led to our table. From start to finish, it was perfect! The restaurant was beautiful. Our favorite were the Waygu nigiri for the appts. We tried the other beef appetizers and thought they were good but not great. The carpaccio came out frozen in the center and lacked flavor. The underwhelming dish for everyone at our table of 5 was the seafood pasta. It is a steak house so that was our bad. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. We had the bone in ribeye and porter house. The desserts were amazing as well. Impeccable wait staff!

Yelp
Came for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. Reservations were easy to make - wasn't too busy. Parking garage is convenient, next to Alexander's and they validate. The ambiance was nice casual and classy. Service was excellent; Lawrencio and his team were wonderful. He accommodated with all our requests and checked up on us frequently. Drinks - Started us off with a complimentary glass of champagne. One of my friends do not drink alcohol, but offered him a non-alcoholic drink too. We also ordered a bottle of moscato d'asti (Vietti) and I loved it. Sweet enough where I can't taste the actual alcohol content. The price is tripled, but given it's a restaurant, we expected it. Food - I recommend doing family style if it's a group, so you can try a bit of everything! Bread - Complimentary; great way to start the meal! It was fresh and warm. There were 3 kinds of bread and butter. The flavors were Hokkaido, squid ink and cheese, which was my favorite. Hamachi Shots - Recommended to take all in one mouth full; it was refreshing. At the end, all the sourness and zing from the ponzu hits you. It was a great appetizer and I would order again. Sugar Snap Peas Salad - The greens and the salad dressing did not go together imo, it tasted off, possibly because I'm used to sugar snap peas cooked, but this was raw. I wouldn't order again. Kimchi Fried Rice - No add ons but this was one of my favorite sides! Very umami with every bite and the portion was worth the price, perfect for sharing. Porterhouse - Ordered medium rare as recommended for more tenderness, I liked this cu, also because it's dry-aged it was much more soft. I enjoyed this steak until I tried the... Ribeye, American Wagyu - Ordered medium as recommended, and this cut/flavor hit the spot. I kept gravitating towards this one, obviously because wagyu with more flavor. The size is no joke and we even had leftovers! We paired the sides with mash potatoes, mac and cheese and fries. The winner was mac and cheese - string cheese pull as a bonus! Dessert - They brought us complimentary cotton candy as well as a plate of variety chocolates! What a sweet surprise, because there was also a complimentary birthday dessert and we ordered two other desserts as well! Sugar overload but I enjoyed the hospitality. I enjoyed my dining experience here, I felt welcomed and not rushed. Everything was served correctly and the atmosphere was great! I would love to dine at Alexander's again.

Yelp
Another successful bday celebration for my mom, and Fabian is amazing and he continues to provide top notch service. This is a must try steakhouse, TRUST ME!! Their summer menu has several new dishes, like the octopus which comes with a raspberry vinaigrette and their signature pineapple chips. We had the classic Hamachi shots and of course this combination is perfect, love the spicy kick. We also tried their new wagyu nigiri and it just melts in your mouth. For dinner, we had their T-bone with buttery mashed potatoes and asparagus. I was skeptical about the asparagus but the pistachio, avocado, and green sauce was fantastic. We also, opted for the chimichurri sauce, which was tasty. Lastly, for dessert we had the crème brûlée with the apple compote, and their espresso martini was just the right combination. Their cotton candy flavor was piña colada and it was the perfect way to end the night.

Yelp
Giving this place 1 star unfortunately because we had set a reservation and when we had arrived they didn't have our table anymore and said they were "so busy". There was a lot of people in the restaurant but they still should have held our table for us. The host said it would be a 30 minute wait, so we did wait the whole 30 minutes sitting there, and once we asked again about our table they said it would still be another 20 minute at least wait since no tables still and they would open the patio (no outside seating when we got there but they decided to do patio seating since so many people were waiting). We had waited an hour at this point and were very frustrated and decided to leave. They ruined the birthday dinner I had planned for my bf and we won't be spending our money here.

Yelp
Why did the vegetable refuse to go to the steakhouse? Because it was a rare occasion! Indulge - Come without a budget but expect to exceed it for some of the highest quality meat you'll ever put in your mouth, it's the only way you'll truly enjoy the night. Who doesn't like to play a little dress up and celebrating a good night. If you're an oenophile like I am, you'll create a spreadsheet of all of their wines, rank them each on the Vivino app, get their retail price cross referenced against Alexander's price so that you can see the mark-up amount and gauge which the best "bang for your buck" wine is. Once you've narrowed that down, call Alexander's and have them decant that bottle of wine for you before you get there. That way, you roll up to your table like a freakin' BOSS, your wine has been breathing for a couple of hours and everyone around you thinks you're a wine connoisseur. Now, it's time to choose your own culinary adventure. Will you go American for the massive Omaha Portherhouse, or opt to go the Japan route with the melt-in-your-mouth Miyazaki A5? Either way, you're in for a treat. And if you're feeling adventurous, try the Hamachi shots - but be warned, you won't be able to stop at just one. The underdog and real star of the show is the mashed potatoes though, get ready to have an orgasm at the table (Yep, I said it).

Yelp
5/5 recommend! The experience was fantastic through and through- from the service, environment, and food- we left full and happy! Everything from the appetizers- try the shots (can't recall the exact name) and Caesar salad. The steak and salmon were also fantastic. All for the dishes were great but my favorites were the desserts that didn't seem to stop coming, especially the cotton candy that brought me back to childhood. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Our experience with our out of town family guests was excellent. Waiters were polite and professional. Food was exquisite and well explained to our guests. The omakase tasting menu would have been great, as we have had this before and recommended this to our guests. But the policy was strict that all guests at the table must also order omakase, if we want to order at all. So we ordered a la cart. All in all the restaurant and staff were professional and well trained. Fun fact: if the parties fight for the bill, the restaurant's policy is to defer to the person who made the reservation. So if you know your guests will fight for the bill, you make the reservation. Photos: oysters, hamachi shots, beets salad, porterhouse, king salmon, soufflé and house cotton candy and mini tarts. We missed taking photos of the Australian wagyu filet mignon which we ordered two orders. The food was cooked precisely and to excellence.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. There are so many positive so make the time to go. We had the Omakase this round, and the meal was phenomenal. Hamachi shots were so good, that we almost ordered a round for desert. Upgraded one filet for some Wagyu, excellent choice, no matter what the cost is. Staff were considerate, point on and always respectful. Are you looking for a nice romantic date with your loved one, or to celebrate a special occasion- this is your spot.

Yelp
Our waiter, Lorensio, had made our evening unforgettable. From the very beginning, he had been beyond accommodating and professional to make sure we were happy with our selections. Hamachi starters were sooo delicious, I could just had them for my entire course. Perfectly balanced. Salmon was also done to the perfection. The only downside was a lack of any side veggies except for Brussel sprouts, which in general, I'm not the huge fan of. Otherwise, I've had a great meal there and will be definitely returning. Please have more veggie options as sides!!!

Yelp
Ambience and service was incredible. Jase was incredibly kind, Nick provided exceptional service and their manager Jason was welcoming. The food was divine from the wagyu to the pork belly. Exceptional wine and spirit lists. The price point was excellent for the amount of food and the quality.

Yelp
We visited Alexander's Steakhouse for our 5 year anniversary. It was our second visit, but it was no less magical than our first. Our server Nick was professional, charming, clever and made phenomenal recommendations. He made us feel right at home and encouraged us to try some delightful dishes we never would have otherwise. We tried two different cuts of steak, some wagyu, hamachi shots, wagyu nigiri, scallops, and some side dishes. Of course we ended it with desserts, too!

Yelp
This is a quality steakhouse. The service is impeccable, the quality of the food is top-notch, and the steaks are cooked perfectly. Outstanding wine selection. To be honest, this is a place i only go to one or twice a year. It ain't cheap. But, you get the quality that goes with a high-end steak house. So when you are on a special date or memorable occasion, this is it.

Yelp
Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!

Yelp
This was my third visit to Alexander's for dinner and it did not disappoint. The Porterhouse and unique take on the wedge salad were the highlights of our meal. What really stood out to me was the impressive wine list and the incredibly knowledgeable sommelier, Frederic. From the host stand to the food runners, the team service was impeccable. The meal was well-paced and the complimentary welcome sparkling and bread and butter are a nice touch. Everyone in my party was impressed by the service and attention to detail. We will be back!
