Alexandra Park - Oldham

Alexandre Park This place was a big part of my early childhood, and was built in 1861. We use to go with family, friends or alone to play on the swings, chase geese, feed ducks and climb the various monuments around the place. This park is very close to the city centre, and has a lot of places for you to sit, enjoy the weather or just walk around. The huge greenhouse has been around since before I was born and is great if you're botanical! There's places to swing, slide and twirl the little ones. The boathouse is still there, but converted into a coffee shop, which has a decent array of sandwiches, drinks, pastries and ice creams. Although it has shrank in size, and there's a few places still closed off and under repairs, it's still a great park in the heart of Oldham where you can relax and take in beautiful surroundings.

Good park. A lot less litter than many other parks, lovely walks, and something for everyone - statues, architecture, a glasshouse, water features and a lake, Victorian bridge. Very picturesque, a nice park and well kept with bedding flowers around. Parking is rammed, especially on busy days, despite more than one car park - but there's plenty of space on the road next to the pond.

Took my clients in this park for a pre wedding shots. beautiful place! They enjoyed the place and mainly result came out great. I was there during a weekday so it was quiet and calming.

One of the best kept and beautiful parks in Greater Manchester. Particularly beautiful during Autumn. Plenty of parking and a good playground. Also a good café.

Very great experience. Alexandra park is very family friendly and the air is also very clean. There are hiking paths. Car park. A cafe for quick bites with lots of attractions for both adults and kids.

A very well maintained public park. Fairly big and you can easily spend a day there when the weather is perfect. Lots of space everywhere. There is lots of free parking in the area. It has a greenhouse, lakes, cafe, bowling green, children’s playground, toilets and seating areas. My favourite time to visit here is in the autumn when the leaves change colour. Squirrels are friendly too! The park is fairly tidy.

Oldham absolute gem of a place, definitely worth a visit. Have a wonder round the lovely gardens and ponds and enjoy a coffee in the cafe

Such a beautiful park I visit with my family & friends. Kids enjoy a lot. You can do fishing there you can do lots of things over there.
