We found this place looking for "burgers" online nearby around 7pm. Darker comfortable atmosphere. The lady Server and Bartender was great managing everyone. It was nice evening place. What a delicious find. I didnt know what to expect, but fantastic 3/4 lbs big burgers (swiss and american cheese) with fries and wonderful potato salad. We also had soup of day which was their own custom wedding soup. Real good.

Without a doubt the worst restaurant in the area, the place is completely run down, dirty and looks like it was furnished with salvation army donations. The toilets were absolutely disgusting with rusted out fittings and stench of sewer gas. The worst part though, Hands down was the food. Firstly this place is supposed to be family friendly yet there is no kids menu, trying to find something to put together for children to eat off their extremely limited menu was a struggle enough, if it had been edible then they would have gained a few points, however a few dried out chicken strips and a handful of fries for $22 is absolutely ridiculous and over twice the price of any other local restaurant's version. The star of the show though was my salted piece of shoe leather that was passed off as a new York strip at an astonishingly overpriced $39!. This was one of the most dissatisfied I have ever been eating a steak, I asked for medium rare, what I got was a completely dried out, tough, overcooked slab of tasteless meat with enough salt on it to dry brine an entire cow. Coupled with only a jacket potato with just a lump of butter and dollop of sour cream It certainly wasn't worth the $38.99 asking price (It still wouldn't be worth it at half this price). Overall a complete and utter failure of an evening, from the cleanliness, lack of timely service and horrendous food I can honestly say the only highlight of the evening was leaving. To anyone thinking of trying this run down restaurant, Don't! Save your money and your stomach and head to one of the much better kept establishments nearby, this place is a hard pass.

Good food and huge portions at a great price. Friendly staff and family owned/operated. Mostly filled with locals any given night of the week. Like a Florida version of Cheers. Everybody knows everybody. Can't pick a bad item off the menu. Everything is fresh and made to order.

We LOVE Alex's Place! It's a nice quaint, quiet atmosphere. Drinks are great & priced very well. The food is amazing & everything is made to order. They are very accommodating to special diets & allergies. Farnaz is the most polite & wonderful server/bartender. No matter how busy they are, her demeanor never changes & she's ALWAYS extremely friendly. Our favorites are the Greek Salad, The Fajitas, The Fried Pork Chops, Baked Potatoes, Home made soups, Chopped Steak, Burgers, the Penne Chicken Pasta (can substitute shrimp - YUM). Just about everything! Mama, Alex, & Farnaz take pride in their work & business.. & we are lucky to have this place right around the corner from our house.

This was our first time dining at Alex Place. This is a relaxed atmosphere with a full bar and dining. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious! We had the daily special which was BBQ Ribs. The portions were huge. With the entre that good, I wished I had saved room to try some dessert. There is always next time. The menu selection is on the small side. But I will take quality over quantity any day.

I love this place...one of my favorites to go for dinner...I will oftentimes go there for a steak for achieving my goals, and they never disappoint. Sometimes I pretend to achieve a goal just so I can go there :). The food and service are superb. I highly recommend this place!

In response to the man who was there on a Monday night and Trivia was there.....that was a one night deal. They opened their doors to us because the Nauti Oar (down the street) had to close due to plumbing problems. We were a very unexpected crowd.....please give them another try. All our food was great and the owners were trying to help out a neighbor.

Went on a monday night. Everything sucked! Some kind of trivia night. Super load, noisy. Bartender was bitchy and rude. Drinks were slow and weak. Food was slower and worse! Never go there! PS- place was dumpy and run down too.

The cheeseburger was excellent. It was a half pounder with everything on it and it came with either french fries, onion rings, or potato salad. It was so delicious.

The prime rib is excellent even if it is pricey. Friendly wait staff and were attentive when I saw their sign. It is to my undethat I must wait until 5pm to order the prime rib on Fridays only. The eating establishment looks like a quaint house and glad to try this out as a new Florida resident.

We first went to Alex's for Valentines before Covid and then on special days. The food and service are always good. Now we enjoy going here on a fairly regular basis.

A nice little neighborhood place. Service was great and the prime rib was perfectly cooked and not much fat on it. I ordered the 12 ounce one and couldn't finish it. The baked potato was hot with lots of butter and sour cream on it. All in all a fantastic meal!

Food was great. I had a burger and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich. Super fresh veggies on the sandwiches. Fries were hot and crispy. Waitress was prompt and very nice. Place was filled with friendly locals just having a good time on a Saturday evening. Will definitely come back.

We found this restaurant while searching yelp for a restaurant close to the auto repair shop Alex place was three minutes away and had great reviews so we thought we would give it a try. We where not disappointed the waitress Farnaz was awesome and very sincere in recommending what was on the menu. We split our meal which consisted of beef barley soup and chicken fajita which was more then enough for my wife and I Both where excellent choices and very tasty. We plan to be back to try there prime rib on Friday which also has high marks. We highly recommend this restaurant as the food and service was great.

I had been by this place several times never knowing if they were still open and last week we gave it a try and were treated to some of the best prime rib. Service was a little slow but well worth the wait!

The waitress was nice. But when we walked in we had to get her attention. You sit where you want she said. If you're old and have all the time in the world, come here ‍. We came here after work. So I was here at 6:30. I had 1 full beer, and the appetizers were 30 min, I asked for another beer. She brought the appetizers. At 7:45 she brought my chicken and o just told her I'd take it to go. My boyfriends food never came out with mine. I told her to pack it all. They need more waitresses. There was 1 the whole night to tend to the bar and patrons. First time and last time. I will not be back. It's Friday night currently 8pm. We had fried mushrooms and onion rings, they're ok, the Italian wedding soup was good. The rest is being packed to go lol. Still here ‍‍‍‍

We tried this restaurant for the first time last week after reading reviews. Although the food we ordered was good, there were several things that we felt were not. The restaurant did not enforce a mask wearing requirement when entering the building, nor did the staff wear any. The floor under empty tables was littered with food. The window sills were dirty and had tiny bugs crawling on them. The baseboards were dirty. It made us wonder what the kitchen might look like. Needless to say, we will not patronize this restaurant again, nor will we recommend it to anyone.

This place is awesome. And back when my dad was alive we were there like once a week. Farnaz is a great waitress and mike (the cook) it awesome, and so are the owners..

Lets start off, with this a Local Gem! Real Mom and pop place. The Chef Mike puts out good basic consistent meals....haven't had a bad one yet! Service is always great... I don't know if you haven't figured it out yet, but we love this place!

Very good and tasty food. Owners are great and friendly. I just had their fried chicken and honestly it's better than Publix fried chicken they also potato wedges which were amazing. Definitely recommend it.

What a great place! We eat there often never having a bad experience. Always willing to please you in anyway they can. Everything always fresh, love the ribs & prime rib. It is our favorite place to eat. Not much to look at but the food absolutely delicious! Love this place!

The worst service,expensive. Canned sodas,charged for refills . Canned onion soup. Very little food for your money. Wont go back,worst experience.

Based on the high reviews and the fact that every other place seemed to be closed either temporarily or permanently, we chose this place. Upon walking in it was empty and had a weird smell. Kinda old and musty but yet somehow comforting too. Maybe a bit like your grandmas house. It has a weird layout as well. The waitress was prompt and super friendly. We both ordered burgers based on the reviews. The food took a bit to get to the table The burger was good. Nothing extraordinary but good. Tastes like a grilled burger. The fries tasted like frozen ones. The plates the food was served on also look like your grandmas All in all okay. Nothing I would seek out though.

Honestly if you're trying to get nice local bar food at a reasonable price with a nice intimate atmosphere, this is the place. Steak on point and shrimp was amazing, seasoned very nice.

Family owned and they are very nice people. I have enjoyed everything I've eaten there. They had a special with salmon and it was absolutely delicious! And it was fresh! It's a nice place too! Dining in the front and bar in the back with pool and darts... definitely a fun place to hang out.

Amazing food. Amazing service. I had the penne chicken broccoli and it was buttery garlicky goodness chock full of broccoli and chicken. I loved it so much. Diamond in the rough. Great food for a fair price.

We love this family owned restaurant! Service is always friendly, food is always good, and the atmosphere makes me feel at home and it's not too noisy. 1st off they have the best dang French onion soup you'll ever taste, the split pea with ham is yummy and bursting with flavor too. They make their own balsamic dressing which my family LOVES! Also their white fish and chicken tenders are really good... And their chargrilled burgers are always a great choice. We go there every week and every experience is truly enjoyable.

It has been a few years since I have placed any comments on Alex's Place. This has become a regular weekly event for my wife and I, and we have no trouble convincing friends to join us. After all these years, I just don't seem to get tired of the great food that you find in this little out of the way place. I am not going to say they have the best burgers in the world, but I can honestly say that I have never had one better. Get the French fries and real onion rings extra crispy if you are into that like me. The Friday night prime rib special is excellent, but it is best to call ahead to reserve a slice (comes in two sizes). I would recommend getting the au jus on the side as it can be quite salty. Oh, I cannot end this without highly recommending a Farnazarita (this is just what I call it as it is made by the owner's (Mom) daughter who is named Farnaz...you will not be disappointed!!!!

You can always count on a good comforting meal and friendly service. Love this place. Friday night is Prime Rib special. Call a day ahead. Best burgers around. Tuesday is chicken fajita night. And, they always have a great Thursday night special. Worth 6 stars if it was available.

Went here a couple of months ago and really liked their burger. My wife had the Philly cheese steak and thought it was cooked very well.
