I usually order the ancho potato burrito with avocado (if you know, you know 😌), but this time I tried some of Alfalfa’s new breakfast items and was really impressed. The Avocado Tartine is simple but done so well — great sourdough, perfectly ripe avocado, and the crispy shallots and superseed crunch add just the right texture and subtle heat. The Organic Yogurt & Homemade Granola was a standout too: thick, tangy yogurt with cardamom-forward granola, fresh strawberries, and a touch of sweetness from the jam and honey. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully made. An easy go-to for a solid breakfast or brunch in JC.

Yesterday we had an issue with our delivery order through a 3rd party service. The manager Katie was extremely helpful and was able to get our correct order delivered. She even included some complimentary desserts. We have enjoyed Alfalfa in the past and recommended it to family and friends but this extraordinary customer service has us impressed yet again! We highly recommend this location! Thank you for the incredible service! Looking forward to our next experience!

Great food and generous protein portions. Friendly staff and they happily gave me extra dressing on the side. They also advertise that the food is made of olive oil which is a great sign. Glad that places like this are thriving in the neighborhood.

Great sandwiches and wraps. Eating here make you feel good than and after which is more important about what you consume for your health

Had a poor experience today, subtly accused of taking an order they thought wasn’t mine that was indeed mine and was handed to me by the person who pulled me aside before I could leave. How can staff not remember I used self service in front of them and paid. They had a poor excuse of two people having the same name as me. I will never come back as I spent over $20 including a separate transaction at the counter for a donut.

This place is amazing 👏! From the moment you walk in you feel like family. They are so so kind. They are Rockstars! The food is delicious, perfectly balanced and sized. Definitely will be one of my go to's from now on.

It has totally become my favorite salad place!! Such big portions with tasty sauces, a variety of toppings and reasonable price. I ordered their delivery several times and it’s consistently great:) I recommend crafting your own bowl or wrap, Peruvian Chicken salad, Cobb salad. would love to visit their store someday!

Enjoyed my latte! And 2 chocolate chip cookies! Cookies were Moist and flavorful, loved the sprinkle of salt! Love the definition of "al.fal.fa [noun] The feeling of joy through balance." Thought this was super cute! Located on the Banquette: INSPRE JOY WITH ALFALFA SHARE INSPIRING QUOTE I left a quote! Highly recommend! Meter parking on the street!

I ordered it to the wrong location and they quickly made it anyways free of charge and it was so good

Came here Monday about noon. Not busy inside but lots of takeout orders. Cashier was extremely kind and patient as we have never been here before. We ordered Sunflower & Dear Darla and she asked on a salad or a wrap, which I didn't know you can have it in wrap; so I found this helpful. As she typed in our orders she also asked if we would like to have drinks, which we both agreed to have the iced chai and turmeric ginger lemonade . The salads were good. Though nothing spectacular. I feel like this is a salad I could make at home easily and have a few for the week for price we paid combined. Also, no sunflower seed in my sunflower salad! The space was very clean, spacious and well maintained. Though as I mentioned it was noon and not crowded,so probably able to upkeep any employee and customer mess with ease. I recommend for a good salad on the run. I will try a wrap next time with maybe more substance to see if I can up my rating.

This is an honest review. There is not a lot of parking (of course it is jersey city) so take that into consideration. I ordered their most popular salad and it was underwhelming for me. I felt like the lettuce bits were too big, there wasnt that much chicken, and overall I thought my salad was average. There definitely is flavor and I liked the dressing but I just could not justify the price point of $16+ . Although I work in the area, I am unlikely to come back due to the parking situation and slight disappointment from the first order. Some plus points were that the inside of the restaurant looked clean and the staff looked friendly.

I love Alfalfa-- expensive but it tastes fresh so I'd say it's well worth it. The donuts could use a little more flavor, they aren't too sweet which is great because I hate a cloyingly sweet dessert but they also lack flavor, like in the actual dough. My go-to order is still the spicy Calabrian Caesar wrap with extra chicken. Runs me almost $30 (mostly because of the extra protein up charge) which seems absurd but I'm always satisfied so I categorize it as a "once in a while splurge."

After going to Alfalfa a few times, we're definitely big fans! While we usually get the build your own salad option, I've also tried their seasonal salads every once in a while and I've enjoyed what I got! This is one of the few places where I've seen that you get money back (or deducted from the total price) when you remove ingredients. It's extremely fair and makes you feel as though they're not trying to rip you off (good value)! For example, if you get a seasonal salad and exclude cheese, they'll give you the value of the cheese off the total price of the salad. For build your own, you also have the ability to add ingredients including extra protein (which is fairly standard). They're great about putting things on the side if you request it (this applies to ingredients and not just dressing) and even having the option to have different amounts of dressing or for it to be mixed in/on the side. The portion size is good as well. We're very happy with the quality of the ingredients and we'll continue to be repeat customers for sure!

Was a huge fan of alfalfa - albeit pricey, salads were delicious and I did order weekly. I never complained when toppings in my salad were missed and ended up in my boyfriends salad, but the last time we ordered, we found a live beetle in my salad, a topping no one wants to see. Nothing like forking food in your mouth and seeing a critter running around the bowl. For such an expensive salad, I expected a lot more and will not be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere. I did contact the team to let them know they have quality control issues and they did offer me a full refund and a $10 credit for my misfortune, but that's not enough to regain my trust when I puked my brains out.

Alfalfa is what my salad dreams are made of. It's always fresh and nutritious. This location has ample seating arena too. I ordered Amalfi coast salad which costed me $18.

Have never had a bad meal here! Super fresh and super clean! I really love the options here and how unique each thing on the menu is. I also love that we can customize different things and switch it up when we want! Definitely try this place if you haven't already... I'm a regular for sure.

Met my friend here finally after forgetting to check it out for a while. Such a cute cafe! Pink is so calming and brightening to the mind. The service was great and so were the donuts! I'd never had a pure lavender donut...it absolutely tasted like lavender worth a try. There are only maybe 3 tables all next to each other in a sort of sectional design so I can't say it's a place to work/cowork at for hours. A pop in with a friend seems natural here. There's lots of traffic here so you never know who you'll meet. Go, enjoy!!

The salads here are so delicious, even better than Sweetgreen. I come here probably more than I should :') I love their Alfalfi salad (summer seasonal), which has peaches, mozzarella, pepperoni, and more. I've been getting their breakfast burrito too lately (the vegetarian one) and it's so good! Perfect combo of potato, egg, cheese, and onion with 2 flavorful salsas on the side.

Ordered a breakfast burrito and matcha through DoorDash. Burrito was great, matcha latte tasted more like tea but it did the job. Will definitely be ordering again.

Stopped by here for lunch to visit some friends. Really cute decor inside and not overly crowded. We got the Buffalo goddess salad and Peruvian chicken wrap. The food was alright, but not something I'd crave. I probably wouldn't return for a salad or wrap here. It was pretty basic and similar to something I could make at home. Nice staff thiugh and cute spot. Just not worth the trek imo.

Love the salads at alfalfa. Tried their bacon burrito & cold brew for breakfast today and it did not disappoint. A little pricey for the size but tasty with a decent amount of crispy bacon.

Easily the best salad place I've ever been to. The salads are 2x the size of sweetgreen and all the ingredients look and taste a lot fresher. I'm so glad they opened up another location in JC! I order here all the time now and it's always consistently well made, and they follow your instructions well. The lime cilantro vinaigrette is fire! Trust me, this is the best salad spot you'll ever go to. I hope they open up a location in manhattan soon!

Grabbed dinner here one day and felt it was pretty mediocre. The Peruvian chicken sounded interesting, so I added it to my build your own bowl. However, it was pretty dry, and most of my bowl was lettuce and there was a lot of chicken/toppings. I would recommend you go for the build your own if you come here, as it seems to be a lot cheaper than the bowls on the menu.

best salad chain in the tri-state area and NYC is missing out by not having locations their. Their peruvian chicken salad is to die for and so delicious!

My salad fantasies are composed of alfalfa. It's always wholesome and fresh. There is a large arena for seating here as well. I spent $18 on the Amalfi Coast salad that I ordered.

BEST breakfast burritos! Have tried both the ancho potato and chorizo burritos and looking forward to trying the bacon burrito on my next visit! Great addition to JC!

West Coast salad is AMAZING! The creamy and crunchy textures merge well, and I would say medjoo dates highlight the whole bowl! The size and price are reasonable. I think Alfalfa is creative in terms of the recipes. I will never get bored eating it.

Very nice salads, but ordering can be an ordeal. You have to order online -- they do not accept phone orders -- and they require you to make an account. That's a lot of info to hand over just to get a takeout salad. Plus, if you have trouble logging in, you have to call and hope someone is available to help you troubleshoot. So you can...order a salad. Even when it works well, you need to confirm a pin they send to your email just to...order a salad. Technology is ruining even the simplest tasks. It shouldn't be this complicated. Like I said, though, the actual salads are nice.

Good services, everyone there was so nice to me. the atmosphere of the shop was so lovely & very comfortable. Their vegetarian options were good as well, however the food could infact be better if they tried

New California based salad spot makes its way over from Hoboken to Jersey City. They have so many salads and wraps to choose from. I had the most popular, Peruvian chicken salad. However, you can design your own salad and wrap if you choose. They serve breakfast burritos all day long and even donuts! This spot is decked out in pink and filled with dine-in customers and to-go orders. This is the perfect spot to hit up for a healthy post-workout meal with the option of a cheat day treat.

My new favorite go-to for when I want a filling and delicious salad! The ingredients are always fresh and I enjoy the variety of protein add-in's. Dressings are also fantastic and a key reason I keep returning - the spicy cashew and lime cilantro are my favorites! I would buy bottles if I could!

Finally a good place to grab healthy food in jersey city. Salads are definitely better than sweetgreen

Chorizo breakfast burrito was fire. Highly recommend trying it if you're a breakfast burrito person. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back.

in my hierarchy of needs the caesar wrap is in fact at the top of the pyramid. never had anything bad from here legit ever. bf has gotten their burrito n was a big fan.

Such a cute storefront, love coming here for a healthy bite or to grab coffee with friends. Little known secret but they also have the best donuts in town!!

I typically am at the Hoboken location, but recently took a long walk to visit JC and the food, service, at atmosphere is just as good. I love their donuts and salads, but the chorizo breakfast burrito is the ultimate sunday morning cure. They also have some great seasonal salads and donuts that i cant wait to return

The guy at the cashier gave me the wrong order and when I asked it the wrong one he was pissed about it and took the bag than changed my order and not even an apology at the end. I also end up paying $30 for 2 wraps of lettuce I didn't find any protein in it (chicken) I end up paying over an overpriced lettuce wrap. Another disappointment in Jersey City. Sorry won't be back!

Really nice customer service. I accidentally placed an order twice and they were incredibly nice and gave me a refund for the second order.

Update - After posting a review stating my orders at this Alfalfa location were not meeting the same standards as the Hoboken location, the founder of the company quickly reached out to me directly to thank me for my feedback and apologized for the inconsistencies in locations. He also stated he addressed the feedback with the staff at JC to improve their standards to match their other locations. I returned to the store & can honestly say they took the feedback seriously as my experience this time around was excellent. If they stick to these changes, I can easily see myself being a regular at this location.

Overall great experience! Got the OG Cardini wrap and was taken away.. Great service and great atmosphere. Very excited to go back in the near future :)
