"Alfi is an all-day wine bar and restaurant that seems to have forgotten its natural wine speciality. The low-intervention wine recommendations don’t quite hit the mark and the Italian-leaning small plates and pizzas are satisfying, but not special. Despite the delightful option to play boules on their covered terrace, it’s also located inside Spitalfields Market which feels less see-and-be-seen and more front row at the Flying Tiger sale. There are plenty of better options in this area but if you do find yourself in need of an urgent—and inoffensive—big group table within walking distance of Liverpool Street, this place will fit the bill. Such a great find!! The food is incredible (the pizza is fluffy, airy and flavourful! The pasta is beautifully cooked and very filling!). The servers are lovely and full of energy!! Highly recommend this place! We were served by Fede and Beth who were the best servers, bringing fun to our evening!! Don’t hesitate about going here it really is incredible!!

I really wanted to enjoy ALFI, but sadly it all fell flat. It’s an odd place to sit, inside but outside, and it was quite cold, feels like sitting on an odd patio a bit. Our waitress wasn’t knowledgeable about anything, couldn’t open our bottle of wine, and wasn’t clearing the table at all - this is just a training issue I’m sure, but it impacted our visit. We also had to ask for the bill and ask to pay multiple times. Food was fine, a bit bland, nothing special. I wouldn’t go back based on all of the above!

We came for Wine Wednesday (£15 for 5 small glasses of their wines on tap) which required us to purchase food too. The food was amazing, proper authentic Italian food, cooked fresh. The service was fantastic, staff were always keeping an eye and chose the perfect moment every time to approach. Brad was our server, but the whole team were fantastic. Would be great if there was a printout/online leaflet containing information on the specific wines included in the offer, but the bar staff were happy to answer any and all questions. Would certainly visit again. The outside terrace is very loud given the proximity of the Spitalfields market, but indoors is quieter, but still has a great buzz of energy.

Brilliant Wine Wednesday offer (although the pizzas had sold out by 8pm!) Food was delicious, wines went down a treat and the staff were lovely. Our server Beth was rushed off her feet but still made us feel special and looked after. Holly and Lionel on the bar were really clued up on the wines and even let us extend our wine passport as we couldn’t get through 5 glasses during our allotted time. Great night will be back.

We had a truly lovely family meal here on Friday 25/7. There's so many places around Spitalfields and I lucked out when I booked here. Our food was delicious and portions were spot on: fresh pasta, aubergine and tomatoes, beef shine genovese, bucatini vongole and a mango sorbet. YUM. Excellent smiley fast service from Brad. Thank you 😁

We had a GORGEOUS evening here. We came for the £15 wine Wednesday (5 glasses of wine - 100ml - for 1.5 hours). All the wines were lovely, interesting, natural, and served by really helpful and knowledgeable team members! The food was really nice (preferred the pizza to the pasta, the pizza was great). We were given a comp tiramisu which was STUNNING. And overall just every member of staff who talked to us was so lovely, especially our server Habiba! We will be back for sure ❤️

Great atmosphere for a wednesday, although initially being seated and the service as a whole was quite slow (they were obviously overstretched due to their wine wednesday initiative) the food was great! our highlight was definitely the garlic and tomato crab linguine, would definitely recommend and would love to try another day of the week.

Wonderful place with very friendly people serving the table and excellent service from Fede. She’s patient, helpful and very detailed in explaining the dishes. One of the best carbonara we had and it’s super delicious. Would definitely come back again.
