The Baseline: For a coffee shop the baseline involves the quality of the roast, the taste of the coffee, and the preparation of specialty drinks/food items. Food: I just had the World Famous Vanilla Latte (hot and iced) and it had a nice strong shot of espresso in the mix. The smooth vanilla flavors helped mellow it out as I drank it. Service: Good friendly service from the staff. No complaints. Ambiance: Coffee at the Boardwalk MDR is a nice place to have coffee. Cool ocean breezes and the sound of the boats in the marina makes for a great location. Several other restaurants in the area makes this an active, enjoyable spot.

This is a small, walk-in-walkout coffee shop with lots of outdoor seating options but no indoor seating. When the weather is good, it’s a fantastic place to grab a coffee, matcha, or little snack, and sit outside and enjoy the marina view, but when the weather is gray or overcast, it’s not nearly as pleasant. They’re strange floating fungi shaped lamps make for a good conversation 😏

Apparently a freshly made sandwich is defined as a premade sandwich in the fridge. I’m not sure what you’d then call one made when you order. In any case I got the Turkey Brie. It was basically flavorless except for some jam or something trying to hide the fact that it was a flavorless. It didn’t help. You can get tasty Brie sandwiches all over Europe so it’s not like it’s hard. I had small latte. It was brown but I couldn’t taste any espresso in it 🤷‍♂️ this is more a stand than a place you can sit down to eat. there’s a bar that seats maybe 5 and otherwise you’d need to eat somewhere else. There are a few shared tables outside, maybe 3. They’re shared with other restaurants so expect them to be full. there are steps facing the marina but they are in the sun if that’s your thing. For me I’m glad I tried it as now I can write it off my list. I won’t be back

Very nice to sit inside or outside right by the boat deck Drink was fun idea but definitely a bit clunkly and odd, i guess that is due to the mushroom?

Ordered a matcha americano and a custom build your own bagel. The bagel was super solid ! Great flavor, fresh ingredients, would definitely order again. I wish more locations offered the bagel on the menu !

Google
This review is for the Marina del Rey location. Their customer service there is awesome! Online ordering was super easy with the Alfred App. Order was ready even sooner that I expected. Very friendly and they get the order right the first time! Great location and great baristas. Great drinks and great bagels. Thank you.

My 1st visit to Alfred‘s coffee 8/11/25 around 10.45am. Had a large coffee latte (waited a while) it was EXTREMELY weak, barely any coffee taste, tasted like a milk tea latte instead. Disappointed:( Ended up going to another coffee shop for another latte right after. Tried to call Alfred at the Marina to let them know, no answer, mailbox not set up. Will not return :(

Google
First time here. Service was swift and professional-serious. The Matcha doodle was different from the photos on the marketing poster behind the cashier. Of note: this is one of the few places where the Matcha Latte is not pre-sweetened. Cost point: $6 for hot matcha latte; including tips. The staff seems under pressure; maybe training or understaffing issues?

Yelp
I stayed in the area for a few days, and I was so happy to see there was an Alfred Coffee location nearby. The location is right by the marina if you want to enjoy your coffee with a view. My favorite was the Cold Brew (5 stars) with an inch of 2% milk, mocha, and light ice. I enjoyed the dark chocolate syrup that was vegan and soy free, which complemented the coffee's deep flavor. The Iced Mocha (4 stars) with oat milk was also a good pick for a creamier chocolate flavor, but I preferred the stronger coffee flavor and caffeine kick in the cold brew. The Nitro Sweet Tea (3.5 stars) with light ice was refreshing and sweetened with vanilla syrup that wasn't too sweet. Service (5 stars) was fast each time I was there including a Saturday morning rush. They were also quickly preparing some online orders and bagels orders too. It's a great Alfred Coffee location, and I would return here if I'm in Marina del Rey.

Yelp
Great almond milk latte with sugar free vanilla. It's a little on the pricey side, yet Alfred is on the higher end and you're on the waterfront in Marina del Rey. The service was excellent and fast. Theres a few chairs inside and a few tables outside. There are also the concrete steps outside the at overlooks the boats and yachts in the marina which is nice.

Yelp
Few orders of coffee we had mix of espresso and milk All three drinks were very low in espresso and too much milk!! To me this place is milk shop with option of coffee to add!

Yelp
I love Alfred's! It's surprising to me that I didn't know there was a location nestled in MDR up until recently when I took a stroll along the Marina Waterfront and spotted their iconic logo on their building. I love their location. Their back door faces the harbor and they have areas where you can sit and enjoy your drink and watch the beautiful view of the harbor. Their drinks are so good! I tried their vanilla latté with oat milk, their chai latté, and their drip and cold brew coffee and it's honestly so much better than the other famous coffee chain out there. You get a more richer, bolder, and creamier taste and in my opinion, it's better tasting. You can taste the ginger and spices in their chai latté. Not many coffee and tea shops make it their chai lattés spicy. The service is your typical order and pick up. I believe teens and younger adults work here so they're just focused on pushing orders out and making sure it's correct. The interaction aspect of it is always hit or miss. But they do their best and I appreciate it. Pricing is a bit expensive but you're paying for the quality of the coffee and the brand. Honestly, if coffee is this good, I don't mind paying an extra dollar for something I guarantee will wake you up in the morning. 5/5 stars for me... "But first, coffee."

Yelp
Nice location and good coffee as always. Alfred has the best beans in LA, definitely. This location has a problem with crazies outside though. I've been here a couple times, trying to enjoy the view, sitting at the steps, watching the bay and some homeless always end up bothering us but it's not Alfred's fault. That's LA for you.
google avatar

Yelp
In a great location since it's so walkable. The drinks were good (gotta go with the classic vanilla latte). Skip the food, we waited a while (15-min) and the food (burrito and bagel) were just okay- wouldn't get them again.
google avatar

Yelp
I've seen Alfred before in Pasadena and never went there....came early to MDR to have dinner knowing I wanted to find coffee somewhere.... I searched on the trusty G word search engine...not so trusty as ALFRED didn't show up and I would've had to walk a few blocks for a place....I should've searched YELP....cuz I was parked and right there in front of me was ALFRED and I saw the word "Coffee" and was dang right there! Anyhow long story short I wasn't sure what to order as I've never been to it before so I go with the Signature Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk (not signature probably)..... I didn't know what to expect but yes it was good! So good I almost got another but drinking that late in the day might keep me up all night....so decided against a second cup.....The staff was really cool and nice....A lot of nice outdoor seating on a really nice day....couldn't ask for more!
google avatar

Yelp
Waited in line for ten minutes to order, and another five to get legitimately terrible drinks. Got to the register, they didn't have plastic clear cups for our iced drinks, which is whatever cause I don't care what the drink comes in. Just a weird inconvenience that we had to deal with. Ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla, and their standard iced vanilla latte. Both didn't have any vanilla syrup in the drink? The shot for the iced coffee was bad and weirdly sour. Shouldn't have wait and pay for coffee that wasn't even made correctly

Yelp
Alfred Coffee is an experience. The people who work here are passionate about coffee and providing excellent customer service. During a recent visit, Alfred was my server (I know, ironic, Alfred at Alfred)! I ordered a latte with oat milk as well as a butter croissant, warmed. You can also try the coffee without milk - it is brewed to perfection. I love the vibe at this location. The music is great, and the location is unparalleled, with a view of the Marina. I highly recommend this location, the coffee, pastries, bagel sandwiches, and merch! And thank you to the awesome team that runs this store!

Dani F.

Yelp
Will post again to give 5 stars, because the employees are always super friendly (even when busy!) and the coffee is yummy. I laugh at the bad reviews that say "overpriced" or "too much milk". If you want cheap coffee, go somewhere else. And if you don't want as much milk, get a different drink. Lattes are mostly milk...maybe try a cortado, or Gibraltar, or a flat white, or cappuccino..... there are solutions to your problems people
google avatar

Yelp
Come for the coffee, stay for the vibes. $8.25 for a 24 oz holiday themed latte is quite steep, even for LA standards. I ordered the mint mocha latte with oat milk and light ice/sweet. It was delicious and not too sweet! Basically like a caffeinated cold chocolate (like hot chocolate but cold? Lol). The interior is very cool and there are also a few little tables outside that you could enjoy your coffee on. However, if you're looking for some cool vibes, turn to the left and you'll see some cool concrete steps that look over the marina. It's a beautiful view and a good way to enjoy your order. The steps are also along a nice walking and biking pathway so you can walk along the marina. Free 2 hour parking in the plaza lot.

Yelp
Great coffee, but the most incompetent staff ever. Bunch of entitled brats who don't understand how to do their job. Instead of taking orders, they just chat and hang out as if they are the customer. TRAIN your staff and teach them to be courteous and respectful.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place more so the brand that it is, but Alfred didn't quite meet my expectations. I've had them before, but I was hoping for a little better experience here at their Marina Del Rey location (complete with views!) The service was in point. I was greeted warmly by the employee who was probably wondering what I was doing getting coffee at 5pm. But nonetheless, she was patient as I looked up and down the menu only to land on a standard hazelnut latte. Besides the views and the aesthetics of the store, Alfred didn't have much else to offer. I found my latte pretty bitter, and I didn't take more than two sips of my coffee. Maybe it just wasn't for me. But as a brand, Alfred seems super cool, and I really wish I could say I liked their coffee more. I did grab a bag of beans as a gift, and the recipient seems to have enjoyed it though. Anyway, I wouldn't fret about Alfred, but I guess it is worth a try for yourself!

Yelp
Alfred is overpriced and overrated.it's nothing special in my opinion, same coffee you can get anywhere. I took a hot Yoga class not too far from here and was heading over to my nail appointment, and I stopped here to get some coffee. I ordered ice chai with almond milk and paid $7 for it, which I think is insane, but I guess this is the new normal. The drink was too strong and sweet. I went back inside and asked them to make me a new drink, a vanilla ice latte, and the barista was happy to make me a new one; it was ready in less than a minute. I appreciate them bringing flexibility and having good customer service. The Vanilla ice latte was much easier on my taste buds. Free, easy parking in a great location right in front of the water.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday afternoon to continue conversations after a lunch date at Uovo. The location on the marina is great. It was a pretty windy and chilly day so I opted for a hot latte. 4 stars for the location and vibes, but nothing to write home about the coffee itself.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
They deliver a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks that are very good. I sampled an excellent latte that was expertly crafted. They're located in a busy spot of trendy restaurants so we had a cup while waiting for a table nearby. The service was nice and place runs like a tight ship. They also serve bagel sandwiches and other items.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to Alfred's while I was staying at the Marina del Rey hotel. It is right there outside the parking lot. It's a short and nice walk if you're walking on your way towards the Trader Joe's or anywhere around that marina. Outside of the fact that it's busy a little crowded the coffee was excellent and I noticed they have bagels and different types of bagels sandwiches you could order and some other snacks. I was quite pleased.

Yelp
This place is a little bit on the pricey side. It's located in the marina really cute great views, great ambience and inside. However after ordering the food it's a little pricey for what it is I mean $15 for a burrito and $15 for a lox bagel wouldn't be so bad but the portions were pretty small for what it was. Burrito was more decent. It was just OK but the salsa that it comes with is pretty good. The one that's in the little cup not the single packets, the single packet one which whatever it was a little bit on the sweet medicinal side. The lox bagel was really good though it just was a little pricey for what it was. I'd come back though. I like the vibe and there's a pretty good coffee selection unique ones. I gotta try the lavender next time but this time I got the Matcha mushroom one which is very interesting and earthy. Funny thing is, we were going to dine outside and see the Marina view and the warm sunshine. However, we saw a mouse sitting underneath someone's table not a rat a cute little field mouse, but I could see why people would be turned off by it so we had to leave because my friend was not having it ha ha

Yelp
Great coffee shop located in Marina Del Rey! It's perfect to visit, grab your coffee and walk around the marina ! I tried their vanilla iced latte that was delicious! My husband tried their chai tea that he enjoyed ! Overall highly recommend if in the area!

Yelp
Went on a Sunday morning, and parking was a bit difficult to find, but free! I've heard great things about their vanilla latte, so I had to try. It was a bit underwhelming- maybe it's because I had such high expectations, but it tasted like any other vanilla latte. Service was quick though, and the workers were very friendly!

Yelp
This lil corner of Marina Del Rey is my all time fav and now I've popped into Alfred Coffee. I'm almost done exploring all the restaurants. I always love a strong and spicy chai tea latte with oatmilk and that's what they delivered. My friend grabbed a coffee and banana bread and he loved it just as much. And we sat outside under the palm trees and chilled out. Walked the entire marina, watched the seals sunbathe and one seemed hung-over and barfed a lil. Ahhh the life of a marina del rey, seal. Ok, I'm tangenting. It's a lovely upscale, elegant experience: Alfred's. Absolutely thoughtful decor and service. Nothing mediocre here. And parking is super easy. Will be back for more adventuring this summer. Maybe I'll try the lavender latte on the next go-around. That's for sure! :)

Yelp
First time here and really enjoyed their OG chagaccino. Nice outdoor areas mainly because of the beautiful marina view! Has free parking which is always nice
google avatar

Malie V.

Yelp
Let me begin by saying the coffee is great, as advertised! The Marina is beautiful of coarse and relaxing. However their customer service is terrible!! Upon arriving I noticed everyone there was very un welcoming. No one was smiling, they looked miserable. I asked a question about the menu and was cut short with no options or substitutions. Which is fine I guess, but an "I'm sorry we don't" instead of "NO" and brushing me off would probably have been more appropriate. I won't be coming here or raving about this place anytime soon
google avatar

Yelp
One of the newest Alfred locations in LA, this coffee shop is located near the marina with a view of all the boats. There's a free 2 hour parking lot which makes parking at this location much easier than most of the others in LA. The inside is cute and clean with a couple tables for seating both inside and outside, but not necessarily a lot of space for working/studying. Their drinks are definitely more expensive than most coffee shops but they have a lot of fun specialty flavors. The signature iced vanilla latte is $7 for a 16oz but it is definitely a very high quality latte. I also highly recommend the chai latte here! They have some food options as well with a case of fresh pastries (and at least one gluten free and vegan option). And this location is next to the marina walk/bike path which makes it great for grabbing a morning coffee and walking by the water!

Yelp
Alfred opened a few months ago and the marina location surroundings is cool. I frequent the Beverly Hills shop often and like the coffee there. After trying their claim of fame 'world famous vanilla latte' made with almond milk, a usual order, my high expectations were not met. The first couple of sips were weak and got progressively BAD :( It's a case of what's good at one shop, is NOT good at all shops despite it being the same brand. Glad I just ordered a small cup, approx eight dollars plus after a tip...which was undeserved for minimal service and horrible coffee, and was only half filled! The staff of two; a female and a male, the male was more helpful than the female. The female was not helpful and couldn't even answer whether that cup was mine since there were no names on the cup and the sticker was illegible, but the female staffer lost her tongue and couldn't be courteous enough to just answer yes/no. This person should be fired, I have zero tolerance for unhelpful staffers in the service industry. The shop is new and as expected everything is neat, with a pastry case with one lone caramel scone and a croissant as the last pieces, lots of merchandise with the logo 'but first coffee,' which is laughable, because who would wear merchandise that represents Bad coffee! No indoor seating. The outdoor seating of tables and chairs is limited. Good thing the promenade has concrete seating with steps facing the marina harbor to enjoy the view. After trashing that bad coffee and wasting $$, the marina breeze and the view was the only Perk worth enjoying. Alfred needs to train staff to be cordial, courteous professional and quality control check asap. If you like minimal service and Bad coffee, this Alfred in Marina Del Rey is for you!

Yelp
I've tried Alfred on Melrose Ave, about two years ago and ordered their famous iced vanilla latte with oat milk. However, when I had it, it tasted very watered down and could barely drink it. Since then, I never understood the hype of Alfred Coffee that LA influencers worship of this place. Now that this location had newly opened near me, with ample parking and amazing views of the bay, I decided to give it a second chance. The parking is strictly enforced to be 2 hours, so if you wanted to study for long periods of time this most likely isn't the place to do so. Yet, it was still really nice to sit outside on the outdoor chairs and watch the sunset on the Marina Bay - such an mind-blowing location! I arrived mid day after I had my coffee so I decided to get an iced vanilla matcha latte with oat milk. I'm not an avid matcha connoisseur, I generally prefer the matcha to be sweeter than it traditionally is, but not overly sweet like it is at Starbucks. I felt that this latte fit my perfect preference and tasted really good! It might have been slightly watered down, but wasn't significant enough to not taste the flavor and blended well with the milk and syrup. I've read the reviews of the staff and do kind of agree that it's not the most welcoming hospitality. The red head barista seemed to be very blunt, didn't really greet me and just asked what I wanted. She was nice enough to give suggestions when I asked, but it was very short and to the point. Having worked in customer service and healthcare, some people just naturally have personalities that might not be as welcoming as we'd like; it's not as much of a deal breaker to me as long as they're not rude. Some people aren't as considerate though so if customers want to come back and have a great experience, there has to be better customer service. However, there was a male employee who was taking the patio chairs inside before closing and he was very polite and let me stay until closing; never rushed me out, I appreciated him lots! I wouldn't go out of my way to have Alfred at other LA locations, but this location is near me and has the best views. I will come back to try their famous iced vanilla latte again and see if it truly meets the hype.

Yelp
Last time i visited Alfred Coffee was years ago, at the Silverlake location. When i saw they opened a location in MDR, which is a closer drive from the South Bay, I wanted to make a trip to check it out. This location is still about 20 mins away but better than +1hr going into LA w/traffic Tons of free parking Overlooks the Marina Shop is super clean and inviting Service was okay for me..I did not know what to order, staff did not engage is small talk or offer any recommendations (maybe they aren't supposed to) but at least i got a "welcome" when i stepped inside I ordered their iced latte with hazelnut and sub'd for oat milk. the coffee itself was AMAZING! at def will be back to order it again xx
google avatar

Yelp
This location of Alfred's opened recently. Located in the same plaza as Bank of America, HiHo, Uovo, etc. Service was friendly, location is unmatched. I ordered the oat latte and the rico sauve burrito. My order came out quick. Parking is also so much easier than any of the other locations.

Yelp
Beautiful Location, but Underwhelming Coffee Rating: Alfred has its ups and downs: Goody: - Convenient location in Marina-Del-Rey - Ample parking - Easy app ordering - Beautiful location Baddy: - Confusing pre order pick-up location - Staff appeared more self-focused than customer-oriented - Price didn't match the quality I ordered the World Famous Vanilla Latte, but it was overly sweet, lacking the coffee's actual flavor. I expected a great coffee experience but found it underwhelming, with the focus seemingly on ambiance over coffee quality. Unfortunately, I'm not likely to return for their "world-famous" vanilla latte. #CoffeeReview #Antler #UnderwhelmingExperience
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
I'm a fan of Alfred's coffee. I didn't realize this location was here but decided to stop by while hanging out in MDR. It's located right on the pier so it's a nice spot to grab a cup and go walk or sit and people watch. The baristas were friendly and my decaf Americano was great as usual. There's 2 hour free parking as long as you're shopping/eating/drinking in the plaza.

Yelp
alfred coffee | marina del rey, ca | $$ |4/5 happy friday! can't go wrong with an iced vanilla latte to prepare yourself for the weekend. world famous iced vanilla latte ($7 +0.75 oatmilk) | 4/5 there's definitely a reason why they name their iced vanilla latte world famous. i love the actual toasty vanilla flavor it has and a strong coffee brew that compliments it well. it's a good sign that there were actually a bit of vanilla bean specks at the bottom of the drink. was this tasty? yes. was this expensive for what it is? also yes. definitely wouldnt get coffee here everyday, but more like a weekend/mid week pick me up kind of deal. its an IVL that is on the better end of the spectrum but not the best one I've had. this would be an occasional revisit! this marina del rey location is their newest location and its very nice to sit in their outside seating area to enjoy the breeze and sun at the marina. very minimal indoor seated. order on the website or app for faster pick up. free shared parking lot! i saw a lot of reviews about poor service but I did not notice it during my particular trip.

Yelp
Absolutely love this location (: staff is super friendly the coffee is amazing the service is quick. Only down side, they run out of pasteries sooo fast so you have to get there early!
google avatar

Franky S.

Yelp
I always get the iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Never ever disappoints! Perfect amount of sweetness from the syrup but not enough to overshadow the nice espresso taste! Perfect balanced latte. Staff is great as well. Super ample parking so you'll never have trouble finding a spot.

Yelp
I tried this newer coffee spot here in the Marina. I ordered an iced Vanilla Latte, large and paid extra for their house made caramel syrup. After a few minutes wait - the barista handed me a small iced latte. I told her that I specifically asked and paid for a large. She gave me a blank stare, no apology and the other guy took my drink - got a large cup - added ice and poured my drink in. And then he added more almond milk. As I watched in disbelief - he handed it to me without saying a word or even making eye contact. Keep in mind it was about 3pm on a week day and there were only 2 other customers in the store, so they were not busy. I'd hate to see how they handle a rush. Yeah, no. I won't be back. A $7 iced latte that was mostly almond milk was not worth it. I was so upset I didn't take a pic of my coffee flavored - mostly milk iced latte. This is a great location so I hope the staff gets some product and customer service training so the can deliver a product that justifies their prices.

Jackie S.

Yelp
A plain breve latte is the drink of choice and benchmark...it was below par. Service was adequate but not friendly. Ambient was adequate but far from impressive or inviting. Cost was higher than average and parking was a pain. They don't take cash either! Will not go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Update: I left a 3 star review because I was super disappointed in my coffee when usually this place is pretty good. The manager reached out and gave me a replacement coffee for the bad one I got. Such great customer service for doing that. I went back and this time around the iced vanilla coffee was delicious!
google avatar

Judy T.

Yelp
Beautiful new location. It's gorgeous inside and has a big patio area outside, open and facing the marina. I only got a tea today. Lovely service. Interested in trying some food off their menu, looks great. I will definitely go back to try some things and grab a coffee. Such a nice place to hang on the water. Easy parking, it's very convenient.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
I love the coffee but this location is unorganized. I ordered on the app because there is always a long line and when I came in the app said my order was ready but the man working was super rude and said oh it's not there and i said no it's not or why would I be asking lol So anyways he made me a new one but had such an attitude about it like he was mad he had to make me the drink I paid for.
google avatar

Yelp
The best muffins ever! Not so hot on the bagels, but that's ok. Usually fast service, the ambiance is crisp, clean and modern.
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
What a gem. If you haven't been to Alfred Coffee... it's like a photograph. Clean, upscale, delicious food, family-owned, friendly service. And at this particular location, you can enjoy your stuff while sitting and looking at the marina. I am not a coffee shop person and the only coffee I ever order is a medium drip coffee or a basic iced coffee. Both black. I'm boring. But I love coming here for the ambiance, the cute dogs, the marina and their FOOD. Start with their breakfast burrito. Check out their pastries on your next visit. You're welcome.
google avatar

M L.

Yelp
They have good coffee, kinda similar to Phil's coffee or blue bottle. We ordered the bagel with salmon, for $14, it seemed a bit expensive. They have outdoor seating, you can see the boats at the marina.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Very overpriced. 2 lattes, a bottled water, a breakfast burrito and a bagel was over $50. Food is premade and reheated, so no modifications are available. It was ok coffee and food, but nothing great. Service was iffy. Most seating is outside, just FYI.

Noam G.

Yelp
I loved my dirty matcha, breve, honey lavender, hot foam latte! It was amazing! I would freaking smash a babies head on a rock for that latte again! LOL It was so good !!! It smelled great walking in, and the staff were very kind and friendly! shout out to Liv for helping me with my order and making it a very nice experience coming in :)

Brandon H.

Yelp
Amazing!! Great service, great coffee! I love the energy there. It's very relaxing and great customer service. I also forgot to mention that I met liv, she's a lovely person and had a great conversation with her. I recommend 10/10

Yelp
I like Alfred's. I especially love their avocado bagel and I add cucumber. It's fresh and delicious. I personally order their iced chai tea latte with oat milk and ass vanilla as my drink. Forewarning, it's very 'chai' and grainy tasting and not sweet like a Starbucks or Dutch Bros so beware in case that's not your taste. Other than that, I highly recommend ordering ahead either via the app or mobile website. We have waited in line and ordered in person only to wait a whole 45 min for our 1 bagel, 1 burrito, and 2 drinks because this place is super busy and pretty disorganized. They misplaced our food so that added to how long we waited. So pro-tip, do yourself a favor and order ahead so it's easier and quicker!

Yelp
Love Alfred's, don't love the employees here. Hispanic guy working on 3/9/23 at 4:30pm with the African American girl. The girl was nice, BUT THE Hispanic guy though, GOT TO GO. You can just tell when an employee doesn't want to be there, or hates their job. It's the latter for me. First and foremost, while taking our order, monotone, no emotions, bare minimum, which is fine. I did end up tipping just because of the nice girl who was also on shift. Somehow the Hispanic guy ended up taking the orders, and then making the drinks. He made them pretty quick. My friend and I didn't like the sugar level on our drinks so I proceeded to walk back to the counter to wait for him since he went to the back. He comes back out, looks at me while my drinks are at the counter with the lids open because I wanted to make his job easier, and walks past me to refill MORE cups that he just did before taking our order. I waited a little longer for him to address me because I thought maybe he had more important things to do than help a guest with their drink. I finally had to ask excuse me, and me trying to get his attention felt like I was pulling teeth, painful and difficult. I was able to ask him if he could make these drinks sweeter. And he said what sugar? , and in my thoughts, I'm like you made the drinks and took our order? You don't know what sugar goes in both these drinks? So I just said well this is a vanilla and this is matcha. He aggressive grabs a small cup, pumps 4 pumps of vanilla into it, and passes it to me and says ," stirring stick is next to the trash. Anything else?" Please, I'm not a sensitive person but lord. Sir. I pray for you. I pray for you to find a new job that you aren't so miserable at. May things look up for you. P.s. it was not busy at all.

Yelp
For the coffee to be this overpriced, they forgot to add cinnamon on top of my iced vanilla latte. Just ruined my coffee experience.

Yelp
I had had good impression of Alfred on Melrose. But I have to agree with the previous reviewer that the staff here are rude. She was impatient for me thinking about my order (about 20 seconds) and then proceed to let me wait for my drink while 5 ppl order after me received their orders, I ended up getting lukewarm coffee... I'm unsure whether it is intentional. Even though the temperature isn't right, their drink lack the taste of coffee and feel water down. I'm sorry for me who wasted my time & money here.....

Yelp
This is a very cute location right by the water in Marina Del Rey. The coffee is good, but rather expensive, and so is the food for the quality & amount you get. I am not sure this is a place I would go to often, but could take people here who are visiting.

Yelp
I have had a bagel here it's decent but the breakfast sandwich was disgusting the bacon was not crispy or hardly felt cooked n bread was soggy. It's 9:46 am on a Saturday. I am pretty disappointed.
