Google
LINE hotel & Alfred Tea are finally in SF🙏🏻 Iced Vanilla Latte was so delicious. Their coffee menu is a bit pricy but worth to try. Also I loved hotel lobby. Very clean & contemporary vibe!

Google
Ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte (heard they were famous for their vanilla syrup!) and it was veryyyy yummy!! Probably one of the best vanilla lattes I’ve had in SF. It is on the pricier side tho, $7. They close very early at noon but I will definitely be coming back!

Google
Newly opened outpost of LA-native Alfred Coffee serving up pretty good drinks in a clean environment with friendly service. The shop is set back from Market Street and away from Union Square, making for a relaxing albeit a little slow atmosphere. Seating is somewhat limited, but aside from the early close hours it’d be a nice spot to camp out with a laptop. No outlets though. The general area has suffered after covid, but hopefully foot traffic picks up soon.

Google
This coffee was magical and so yummy. I have never heard of it before but when I went the atmosphere was so cozy, comforting and alive. The drinks were amazing and so was the choco chip cookie. Would definitely go again

Google
Pretty cool to have an Alfred’s coffee in SF, I usually go to one whenever I’m in LA. This one doesn’t seem to have the same charm as the ones in SoCal, but I’m happy to have a location here. The iced lattes and cold brews are very good, I always ask to go light on the sweetness though. It Does seem to be a little more expensive than other coffee shops that I go to in SF, but still like to stop here once in a while! I feel like most people in SF aren’t aware that we have this option now. ☕️

Google
Best place in SF ever..safety clean fancy cozy .. Everything is perfect to me. It makes me feel comfortable to be here ..

Google
Good coffees and quick pre-made bites. The shop is nestled in the corner of the building on Turk Street and offers a modern relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service.

Google
Central spot to grab some coffee on the way to work. The cold brew was good.

Yelp
We walked from our hotel because we needed some coffee! We're very familiar with Alfred because we love the one in Beverly Hills. We ordered 2 lattes. Mine was the vanilla latte and it was ok, temperature was just right as well! (We asked for extra hot). My fiance was so upset, his latte was literally room temp but he didnt say anything because he thought mine was the same and that I was ok with it. Wish they double checked tho. I like their location. Literally right under the Line Hotel. So cool!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop inside the line hotel. We've been to the one in LA so we decided to try the one out here. My fiancé got the sugar free vanilla which was good and hot! I got the hazelnut and it was good but little disappointed because it was room temp almost like warm.

Yelp
It was just okay. I'm a big fan of their Iced Vanilla Latte whenever I make the trip to Los Angeles, so I was excited to see they have made it to the Bay Area! This time around, I tried their Iced Matcha Americano with Vanilla Cold Foam. The drink was not bad. Not too sweet and the matcha flavor was there. I think the cold foam was too rich and took over the drink the more I mixed it. Maybe because I asked for oat milk, the drink was too creamy?
google avatar

Yelp
I had no idea there was an Alfred in SF until we were walking around in the area. I wanted to grab a matcha but ended up trying a seasonal drink instead - an iced mint mocha with oatmilk. It was creamy and perfectly balanced flavor of peppermint and chocolate! It's definitely a sweeter drink though so if you want more coffee flavor, this isn't the drink for you. Loved the interior of their shop, and they have so many nice things for sale. Their merch would make great holiday gifts! There was only one barista working, taking orders and also making drinks. She was very kind and working hard!

Yelp
Alfred Coffee is in the Line Hotel, so is a new cafe. I found the ambience cute and the servers were friendly. The prices are fairly standard for SF (check the pics!). I ended up getting a Nitro Cold Brew for $5.50, which was way larger than I thought and more cold brew than I usually drink in one sitting. The cold brew was foam, caffeinated me very well, and I would come back to try one of their other coffees. Will definitely return!

Yelp
The location is tucked away into a nice hotel so overall the ambiance feels "high-scale" even if I have to walk by many homeless people to get there (the downfall of SF). The service was friendly but chaotic. I came with two of my co-workers. We each ordered and paid for our own. The first girl got what she wanted. I asked for a Peach Palmer but ended up with their Pomegranate Hibiscus. My drink wasn't bad but it wasn't what I wanted and I didn't have time to ask them to remake it (it also took me a beat to realize because I had never ordered either drink before). The third of us ordered a medium matcha and the workers seemed to have forgotten about the order or had some misunderstanding between them and to apologize for taking too long (which wasn't that long but A+ for the thoughtfulness) they gave her a large. I tried my coworker's matcha and idk if it's because she got almond milk but it was mid, and I was very disappointed they gave me the wrong item. I really wanted to try the Palmer. UPDATE: I went again today because I wanted to try the palmer and jokes on me - they gave me the palmer after all last time I guess but please look at their images for the hibiscus and the palmer and then my drink and you can tell me if it looks right. It tastes NOTHING like lemonade and has ZERO peach flavoring. It's literally hibiscus colored??? I also got their Morning Bun (2) & Blueberry muffin (1) (the day later deal for $8). I know its a day old but the Morning Bun was very blah but the blueberry muffin was good. All in all, I spent $15 on a very disappointing experience...

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in soma area! Tried their pumpkin spice latte & matcha latte which were both really good :)

Yelp
Delicious coffee! Tucked away on Turk but right by Market, this spot is a hidden gem. Lots of space to work quietly if need be. Super clean, great service and a handful of pastries if you're craving.

Yelp
Finally made it to Alfred coffee now that the Line Hotel in SF is open. I've tried their mocha, latte, chocolate chip cookie, and picked up whole bean espresso and drip for myself and as Xmas gifts for friends. They have very flavorful and smooth brews across the board. The seating inside is very modern and clean, and while it's on the smaller side for a coffee shop, has never been crowded the times I've gone. Will def be back and add their whole beans in my home coffee rotation. Pros: Smooth flavorful beans, quality baked goods and modern seating area. Cons: Parking can be hard in this area so walk, public transit or ride share if you're coming from far.

Yelp
Some, but not all, of the employees have this air of arrogance to them. This is not so inviting when you are a hotel guest who is frequenting the shop on a daily basis. Overall, I love Alfred Coffee. We always have a stash of their beans and syrup in our home, so it was a treat to have this shop in the hotel. Room for improvement? Yes! There should be more consistency with the drinks. Some mornings were better than others. It would also be awesome if they were open a little later, perhaps until 3 pm?

Yelp
Located in downtown, inside the new Line Hotel. There are 5 small tables with a decent amount of space to sit and rest. The staff are very friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered: -Iced vanilla latte with oat milk (+0.75) and their syrup has real vanilla bean flakes in it! The coffee itself is very creamy and rich. It's pricier compared to other coffee shops, but this place has great LA vibes. A great pick-me-up before splurging more in downtown. But firSt, coFfee!

Yelp
Straight outta LA! We frequent several of their LA locations whenever we're in SoCal. Don't be intimidated by the location when you map this location. While it's at the edge of the Tenderloin, it is inside a very trendy looking hotel. We were a bit disappointed that they were out of the Chai Latte. Their Matcha Latte was good but their bagel was a bit lacking. It was difficult buttering the bagel because the butter itself was rock hard.

Yelp
Great to have one in SF, although it's located in not the best part of town, just be careful! It's located in the spanking new Line Hotel. Great coffee spot from LA. I came here twice and got the same drink both times. Unfortunately, it's a hit or miss for the matcha...really depends who's making it. The same goes for the front of the house staff, first time I got great service the second time was bleh. Ambiance is ok, updated, kind of modern and cozy.

Yelp
Good location, tucked away and quiet but right off of Market Street. Small space - exactly five tables seating two people each. Employees are friendly even at 7am. Drinks are made crazy fast even with a line. The coffee is not bad, but it seems a little pricey for it to just be "not bad." The 12oz latte is $6, for example.

Yelp
The service is great! The chai is solid and the chocolate chip cookie is huge and staff offered to warm it which is a great touch.

Yelp
Alfred is my favorite SoCal coffee so I was excited when one opened up here in SF. Drip coffee was excellent as usual and I bought a bag of Bold for home but will probably just order online from this point forward. Also, picked up a breakfast burrito with boring creamy sauce (that looks spicy and good but disappoints.) Meh. Skip it. It doesn't taste a bit like the Brentwood burrito with the 2 delicious mouthwatering sauces that I love and crave. Cold in the middle and hash brown was small and soggy. (Needed another min in the microwave?) Cashier - so friendly and sweet.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this coffee shop out. Glad they've expanded to more locations around the country. Located inside of the hotel it's a small little shop w about 4 or 5 tables. Atmosphere is cute. Decided to try the matcha w their famous house made vanilla syrup. Felt like it could've been a tad bit stronger on the matcha flavor. Price point is much higher than the normal coffee shop. Would return to maybe try some other items.

Yelp
The girl inside let me get my mobile order, still, even after their 1:30 closing time. Thank god! She was very nice. The Alfred app allowed me to place a mobile order after 1:30 which shouldn't happen for logistics, Since they close at 1:30pm on weekdays. I'm glad the employee was kind enough to still give me my drinks. Absolutely delicious cold brew.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, while visiting I went in and ordered through Uber eats every day twice a day. I tried the three drinks that I usually get at any coffee place and my favorites were the iced matcha latte, iced vanilla latte. Wasn't a huge fan of the chai, had a weird after taste. Also got some of the bakery items which are good too. Service - sweetest girl working, I wish every place had the same cs they have here. My sister accidentally ordered my go to drink but in the smaller size so it ended up being too sweet ( totally our fault) however the girl added more milk, gave me a different cup with more ice and checked up on us to see if maybe we needed it remade. Very attentive sweet workers. Ambiance - there is something really comforting about this place, maybe the lights or the welcoming feeling but I was there for almost two hours, just drinking my coffee and time flew by.

Yelp
I have heard of Alfred Coffee before being an LA native but have never tried them out. I saw a first bay area location opened up at the lobby of the new Line Hotel in SF. I was on an afternoon stroll and decided to stop by to give them a try. The decor is cute. I asked the cashier what drink was most popular she said their vanilla drinks (latte or matcha) are "world famous." I decided to get a small iced oat milk latte .. my total was $8.25 for a small drink! Outrageous. I didn't feel the drink was amazing and price is not justified. It honestly tasted like any other vanilla latte that I've had. This is one of those places where you try once but don't return bc it's honestly not that special.

Yelp
I haven't had the chance to try Alfred in L.A. so I was excited to learn that they opened inside SF's new Line Hotel. I don't drink coffee but I heard their matcha is good too. I visited early in the morning. All the tables were occupied, but there was no line at the counter. The staff person who took my order was very nice. I ordered the small matcha latte with almond milk. She asked if I wanted it hot or cold so I said cold. She said it's not sweet and asked if I wanted any sweetener, so I asked her what the options were. She said vanilla, hazelnut, mocha, caramel and I asked her what she recommended so she said vanilla and caramel so I went with that. She said if it's too sweet or not sweet enough just let them know and they can remake it. The bill came out to be $8.25 so I asked her why it cost so much since the matcha latte on the board was $5.25-6.25 and the almond milk was 75 cents. She told me that the syrups are 75 cents but she only charged me for one syrup instead of two. If I wanted simply syrup that would've been free. I didn't notice until she pointed it out that the housemade syrups are listed on the board for 75 cents, so it was my bad for not noticing that earlier although she could've mentioned the board when I asked what sweeteners they had. The other staff behind the counter already started on the drink and put a lot of ice into the drink so the matcha flavor wasn't strong. The drink tasted like almond milk over ice. Since the person who took my order said I can let them know if I wanted any adjustments, I went up to the baristas since the staff who took my order was helping others in line and asked if they can make my drink with less ice and more matcha flavor, plus if I can try the hazelnut syrup. One of the staff said sure and asked if he can pour out the ice and add another shot of matcha so I said yes. A third staff person behind the counter gave me some attitude, commenting, not in a friendly manner, that the hazelnut syrup won't go with the matcha flavor and if I really wanted to taste the matcha I should order the matcha americano if I ever come back. I said they can use the vanilla/caramel then on the third shot and asked her what's the matcha americano so she explained it is matcha with water only. Anyway the matcha flavor still wasn't strong with 3 shots. My favorite matcha latte place makes a good matcha with almond milk, and the flavor of the ceremonial matcha is strong there, so I think their matcha is just bland. Also thinking back, I wished I went with the hazelnut syrup rather than letting her talk me out of trying it. Anyway there wasn't any seating available so I took my drink to the common area of the hotel. I went out to the patio which ended up being roped off, but the door locked behind me so I walked with the drink to Union Square. I recommend walking on Market to the hotel if you're interested in trying Alfred.

Yelp
New little cafe to get your coffee fix! Pretty chill atmosphere with neutral decor, pretty nice. A little on the pricier side ($7.40 before tip for a regular) so personally it wouldn't be a regular stop. The iced vanilla latte I had was pretty good though- I think it's good for those who like their drinks a little sweet and creamy. I like that the vanilla syrup they have is housemade and that you can see the specks of vanilla bean in the drink. Service was pretty fast and friendly. They have a little shop section where you can buy cups, snacks, other drinks, brand products, etc. they have a pastry case and breakfast burrito on the menu but not other hot foods yet. Easily accessed via bus.

Yelp
I'm feeling the vibes of this spot. I'm typically not a coffee drinker but I do like the vanilla iced latte! It could be sweeter though, because once you mix the coffee with the sweet vanilla that they add, the vanilla taste starts to disappear and it's a lil bitter, but still tastes good if that makes sense. I would come here again, but not all the time since it's like $8 for a coffee!

Yelp
Located on ground floor of the new LINE hotel. It is on the edge of the tenderloin and also right off market downtown. Worth a stop for the famous LA coffee! Had an iced vanilla latte, was delicious. Not a lot of seating but there are maybe 5 tables inside.
google avatar

Reiko S.

Yelp
Tastes just as good as it does in LA! Only difference for this location is that it is connected to a hotel which I thought was odd but still has seating and was clean!
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
Hole in the wall, easy to miss, but worth the drink. I got the vanilla ice latte, and it was settle. Went through the hotel from Market street to reach the destination. Advice to drink and enjoy at the location. I tried walking around the neighborhood and it was high alert and hard to really enjoy the drink
google avatar

Yelp
Glorified hotel coffee, comes out of a super automatic machine like a fast food restaurant. Flat white was terrible, absurdly scalding hot. I won't return.

Yelp
This coffee was magical and so yummy. I have never heard of it before but when I went the atmosphere was so cozy, comforting and alive. The drinks were amazing and so was the choco chip cookie. Would definitely go again

Yelp
Fantastic coffee bar with friendly baristas and yummy pastries. I was unsure of what to get, and the baristas were super friendly and helped suggest things I may like. I got a dirty chai and a sourdough bagel with cream cheese. The neighborhood is okay, just outside the tenderloin. It's inside a hotel with multiple security guards nearby. However, as I went to pay, I tried to use cash and was told they didn't accept it, despite their tip jar overflowing with bills. I dislike this trend toward cash-free establishments. It makes a clear statement about who you want and who you don't want in your business. Despite how good their products may be, I refuse to support businesses with this classist business model and won't be back.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious choices, don't forget to try the Glonuts! The chia pudding flavors & bagels were amazing too.
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
Left is the matcha drink with vanilla and right is the chagacinno, its like an earthy mocha. I liked both drinks! Their iced vanilla latte is pretty good too. Staff is very nice and friendly. I love the aesthetics of this coffee shop! will definitely frequent it.
google avatar

Toni R.

Yelp
I'm a coffee addict and like my iced coffee subtly sweet. I'm so glad I got to experience this place because it's my new favorite!! I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was a perfect combo of strong and sweet. It's a bit pricey but they also sell their vanilla syrup for days when you don't want to go to the TL :)
google avatar

Laura N.

Yelp
This was great for pre-conference fuel. The vanilla latte is worth the hype! Plus healthy options for to-go food as well.

Nyah B.

Yelp
Wonderful Service and incredible ambiance! The staff were so kind and inviting. Has a very comfortable, welcoming feel while also being very clean and put together. Not to mention the matcha and coffee we got were incredible! All around wonderful.

Yelp
Great chicken salad with avocado sauce and coffee. Price is great and staff were very pleasant too. Near golden gate theatre and downtown.

Yelp
Visiting SF and was looking for a pick me up. I have a rule for my latte. it's lighter than me (black girl) then I don't want it. Unfortunately my $8 latte was not worth it. It's cute. But that's about it. Aesthetics and expensive coffee should mean decent coffee but no. Don't waste your $$.

Raina B.

Yelp
So happy to see an Alfred's in the bay!! Best coffee & customer service. The interior is so beautiful & clean!

Yelp
Love the Americano and veggie chorizo breakfast burrito! It's my favorite on the menu.

Yelp
i love this place so much. their coffee is sooo good i ordered a iced vanilla latte and it's the best coffee i ever tasted. the line was long but as soon as i ordered my coffee was made. it's a cute small coffee shop - very minimalistic
