Alfredos of Summersville

Thought I would try this restaurant during my stay in Summersville. I was not disappointed! The Egyptian Bread and Hummus was great, the lasagna was delicious and super cheesy. Kaylee not sure on spelling was a fantastic server and took great care of me! Oh and the Limoncello was better than any I have had on Arthur Ave Little Italy, Da Bronx!

Some weird obsession with Egyptian stuff, but the food was good, and the waitresses hit it out of the park! I had a gyro, and my wife had spaghetti with meat sauce. Both were lunch specials, both came with salads and drinks. Much better than stopping for fast food on our way through.

Driving by this area and thought this restaurant might be a good try. The pasta turned out to be disappointing. The sauce was stale and did not mingle with pasta. The quality of the pasta is below average.

The food, the service, the vibe... everything is great! We've had dinner here quite a few times, and it's always been phenomenal! Hands down, our favorite place! Their alfredo sauce is DELICIOUS, probably the best I've had!

Absolutely the best pizza we've ever had. We've had pizza in Chicago and New York and everywhere between WV and California and hands down best pizza!

I love their music. Instead of tradition Italian music, I truly enjoyed Seek And Destroy by Metallica. I will be back.

Found this great restaurant last summer on our way to NMB and decided to stop again today. It was great again! I shared a lasagna and it was scrumptious. Cheese steak sandwich was good. My son didn’t love the small ham and cheese calzone because the dough was chewy and soft, not crunchy like others. I thought it was delicious. The service was great, Kat was very nice and quick. The garlic knots were good too. It is a good, clean casual restaurant with a varied menu. We definitely recommend stopping by! July 25, 2025 UPDATE: We just had dinner here on our way to the beach. Had the Egyptian bread with hummus. Kristin brought me honey cinnamon sauce and garlic butter sauce. They were delicious! The gyro was very tasty and the cheese steak hoagie was loaded. Fries nice and crispy. ZERO food was left! Great place, great service and food. Clean bathroom is a plus.

Excellent calzone and small Greek salad. Sauce was delicious for calzone. The service was fast and efficient. Went there on a Sunday at 1pm. The restaurant is nice and roomy with a Mediterranean decor. Didn't get a dessert but they looked good

This is must stop when in Summersville! Good food, quality and taste are always consistent. Portions are huge! Our go to is the XL cheese pizza, The Works cheesesteak and Cheeseburger platter (comes with fries or onion rings). It's a 3 hour drive for us and Alfredo's is always our go to!!!

Service is attentive, ambiance good, food remarkable. And portions are large, you'll need a take home box

Five stars all the way. Diamond in the ruff. Glad we decided on this little place after seeing New River Bridge Gorge. Waitress was super nice and informative with all my questions and helpful with suggestions. Food was delicious!

Stopped here for lunch mid road trip! Decent stop for a quick bite to eat with reasonable prices! I ordered the lamb gyro and it was pretty good! Had a tasty cucumber sauce on it and it was absolutely delish! My husband ordered the mixed pasta. He enjoyed it. I tried a couple bites of his and I can confidently say I'm glad I didn't order pasta. To me, it tasted like something straight from a Chef Boyardee can. The pasta came with a small salad and garlic bread. Both rather basic. Nothing exciting. Service was decent. Our waitress was polite but very quiet. Could hardly hear her. No complaints though. Ambiance is a tad strange here. It's a weird mix of Italian meets Greek meets Egyptian. It's just a bizarre blend of decor. Overall, decent stop. Met our needs

Well, it's not worth the money. The 10" calzone with a meat ball was not 10" and the $2 extra for a meatball was barely visible. I travel this route a lot and look for areas to eat. The place looked promising but it was not a hit for me. There were a lot of selections and since I'm not a pizza guy I went for the calzone. A small was $8.99 and add$2.00 for additional toppings. I added a small anti pasta salad which was somewhat good but it also cost $8.99 for the small. I figured that a small town the price would be comparable for what you get but not this place. I did like that they offered a military discount and the girl that waited on me was very nice to talk to. If the portion was aligned with the price I would have probably upped the rating since I could get much larger items for the same price in other larger cities. Small meatballs are not a good start when you are paying $2.00 for one or less.

We stopped here over the weekend while in Summersville. We were seated and the waitress came to the table and took our drink order. First thing that went wrong was the fact their fountain drink machine wasn't working properly. Only certain ones were working and the others were coming out with just straight syrup? So, if you wanted one of the ones that was messed up, you were offered a can of pop. You don't get free refills with the cans of pop.. Anyways, on to the food. We got the garlic knots as an appetizer (the waitress said they were really good), they were okay, might have been better if they didn't come to the table cold.. My child liked the cheese pizza, but it didn't come cut into pieces, so we had to cut it for her to make it easier for her to eat. I got the pepperoni roll, which was really good, but it came to the table cold. My fiancé got the BBQ chicken roll and he enjoyed it. My father in law got baked spaghetti with garlic bread, his spaghetti barely had any sauce on it, but he ate it and liked it. We got up to go pay and there was no option to tip what you wanted, only what they wanted (only their options). It was a bit pricey.. We might go back, but not anytime soon..

While driving through town on our way back up north, we stayed in Summersville and went to Alfredo's for dinner! It was one of the only locally owned restaurants open on a Monday night so we decided to try it out! The ambiance isn't that great but the food was very good! I ordered the Supreme Stromboli and my wife ordered the Greek Stromboli! The dough was very flaky and light! The sauce was excellent! The portions were very generous. The small was a lot of food! Service was good!

Absolutely disgusting. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My husband and I went in about 2 weeks ago. We wanted a peaceful and quiet supper. We shouldn't have chosen this place if that's what we wanted. Right as we were finishing up, the owner came out and fired on of his workers right in front of all the customers in the restaurant. Not saying the boy didn't need it because I don't know the full story but he seemed like a nice young man. I thought this was highly unprofessional and should've been dealt with away from the dining area and could've been handled very differently. Not to mention the owner was super loud in doing this. Super awkward for everyone setting there. Would not recommend if you're looking for a nice place to go. Place is outdated and could use some much needed help.

a big shout out to this place. I got a cheesesteak sandwich with a bag of chips. it came was delicious but far more than I could finish. My companion got the spinach royal, and it was huge, also. piping hot at least 2 maybe 3 cheeses with spinach a crisp pastry semi cut in 4 places for ease in pulling apart. it had a great dipping sauce of marinara. it looked great and was. service was prompt and professional.

Small towns are a gamble when it comes adequate dining. What locals consider fine fare for other, maybe not so much, and this was one. We ordered spaghetti and it came with a side salad and the dressing was the best part of the whole meal. To sum it up in the proverbial nutshell.....Chef Boyardee would have saved me cash and disappointment.

Stopped on our way back from New River Gorge after seeing a billboard. The service was great, restaurant was a little outdated but clean, and food was just okay. I ordered chicken parm and my husband had the Stromboli. He liked his meal, but agreed that mine was not great. Frozen chicken strips and frozen Texas toast that had been reheated a few times. Definitely stick with either pizza or a Stromboli if you decide to visit here.

Local chain of Italian/Greek open later than other restaurants. You'll probably see their billboard ads when you're in the Summersville area and want to get pizza after a day on the lake. Go ahead and enjoy, pizzas are fresh and extra cheesy. The cheese was yummy and had a really nice "pull". Topping are fresh and meat is good. The house pizza was both meaty and fresh, we highly recommend it. During pandemic you can only do takeout or eat your food fresh at the conveniently located tables right outside the restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. Our pizza was ready in about 10 minutes when we ordered later in the evening, about 8:30. I definitely recommend this place if you're out late, food is well priced and very fresh. This is a small chain but has that homey feel.

Well, I was pleased with your food but shame on you for not giving out bills and telling the customers to go to the counter to pay without first seeing the bill. The reason for this is because you are double dipping by automatically adding a gratuity and then asking for a tip. We were a party of 2 and the sign I read stated a party of 6 or more would automatically be charged a 20% gratuity. Your waitress/cashier charged us a gratuity and then a tip and then an additional charge for using a credit card. We had to ask for an itemized receipt. So you are ripping people off and they don't even know it. The receipt you hand out shows the bottom line only. Very bad business practice. I will never patronize your facility again. I hope others read this and find out how you're stealing from your customers without them even knowing it!

Everything I've ever gotten has been amazing. I absolutely love this place. Get the Greek salad or the Philly Cher steak...or anything else because it's all good. Service is good, atmosphere is average but clean.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was average fare for pizza and salad. The restaurant itself could use some up keep.

We were in town for Christmas and our car blew a fuse on Christmas Eve. We were stuck in our cabin and only enough groceries for one dinner. We called and they delivered!! We ordered A LOT of food since we knew we would be stuck for at least 3 days. Fried Ravioli, Grape Leaves, fried mushrooms, Alfredo, hamburger, Greek Calzone, Meat Calzone, 4 cheese pizza, kids spaghetti and kids chicken nuggets. The kids portion was a great size! The Fried Ravioli and grape leaves...OMG I am picky and those were AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING was good! Everything exceeded our expectations. And it was so fast! Our delivery driver was super nice as well.

Hours on website are incorrect. We walked in at 8:38 and they refused to serve us. Turned away customer in front of us too. Closing at 8:30 pm m-s

I've never found a decent restaurant in Summerville. I didn't think there were any. So when I saw Alfredo's Italian & Greek Family Restaurant with a 4 Star plus Yelp rating, I had to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't all that great. I generally found Alfredo's Italian & Greek Family Restaurant to have more of a diner like atmosphere about it as well as being very much of a "take out" place. However, it's clean, spacious and my service was good. For my meal I had their Eggplant Parmigiana with a Greek salad. The eggplant, other than having an overwhelming tomato flavor was rather bland and tasteless with the eggplant having been way overdone with a consistency similar to that of boiled mush. As for the salad, let me just say I've had far better. In summary, the best I can go for Alfredo's is 2 Stars. I found it to be little more than an inexpensive belly filler of a place, certainly not a place I'd go to for an actual dining experience. The only reason I can see for it having such a high Yelp rating is that it is located in Summerville, and as such simply doesn't have any finer dining competition.

So awesome!! We were traveling on our way to Canada and given this recommendation for dinner. We were really impressed! Great food with terrific flavor! Mackendra was so informative with her suggestions and the service was five star! Don't miss Alfredo's!

The minute the salad came out and it was in a cheap styrofoam bowl I knew we were in trouble! We ordered the "Tour of Italy" which arrived at our table in a foil take out disposable container. This dish was supposed to feature four entrees and if all four were in there it was not evident due to the covering of mozzarella cheese. To further add insult to injury, they gave us the cheap paper plates to eat on! I am talking the thin, cheap flimsy plates. Very disappointing. There was one calzone ordered at our table, party of six, it was most definitely the best dish on the table getting the two stars. Will not return.

The food is delicious. Got the lobster ravioli and it was actually stuffed with lump lobster meat. The pink sauce was so good to dip the garlic bread in. Great portion sizes. Would definitely come back if we lived in the area.

While visiting Summersville over the Thanksgiving holiday we stopped in for dinner. Absolutely fabulous. My husband and I both started with salads, his Greek and mine house. The lettuce was crisp, all the veggies fresh and delicious dressing (especially the Greek). My husband ordered a medium Stromboli, he didn't even come near finishing it but enjoyed every bite. I had the spicy penne with chicken. Phenomenal!!! I work at an Italian restaurant and this dish could rival their dishes.

In Summersville, your dining options are pretty limited, but that's not really a problem since a branch of Alfredo's is there. You can sample a wide variety of Italian dishes there (everything from pizza to cannolis), plus a small range of Greek options (gyros and baklava) at this small but friendly eatery. On the Friday night we went, it seemed like half the town passed through, collecting takeout orders or coming in for dinner. Our party of five enjoyed Turkey subs and gyro dinners with Greek salads, and everyone claimed theirs was delicious. You won't be disappointed by the food or the inexpensive prices.

This place was a good hometown restaurant in Summersville, WV. The pizza was delicious. Ordered the ultimate cheese with pepperoni. It was a thin New York style pizza. The waffle fries are a must get. So crispy and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommended adding cheese and bacon if you like loaded fries. They are served with ranch. Also had a large side salad. Presentation was good. Served with onions, black and green olives, tomatoes and cucumbers. I also had the baklava for dessert and it was ok but didn't taste that fresh. My friend had the pumpkin cheesecake and said it was very good. I will definitely go back and get their pizza again if I am ever in the Summersville area.

This place was a pleasant surprise. It was very busy but we got a seat immediately. The food came out hot and fast. Everyone cleaned their plates. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again. The only downside was the waitstaff was not very attentive to busing dirty tables or checking on you once the food was delivered.

They delivered pizza to the dock and their pizza and wings. So so good. The next evening had several different dishes with our large group. YUMMy. There Egyptian bread was very good. Don't pass it up.

Passing through while traveling and looking for something not a chain. Food just okay. Servers were sweet, pleasant and busting their butts. Guy at cash register was less than personable.

We settled on this option over others, and wish we had not. It was overall just ok. Service was good, friendly and timely so no concerns there. Food was bland and just not interested at all. Gyro meat was not super fresh. Pizza was just so so.

On our way to Florida from Toronto - the front desk at the hotel recommended this place and we took his advice and went. Great decision Food was fantastic with good portions, friendly service and reasonable prices Will definitely make this our stop on our trips to and from Florida.

This place is disgusting. My neighbor found a huge wad of hair in her food. Like huge! They would've seen it while making her sandwich and they still decided to give it to her.

I had the crème sauce with chicken. Very good. Very good cannolis. Would have enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner but they didn't serve liquor. The lamb gyros was just ok, nothing special.

Traveling through the area decided on a local place to eat versus the typical chain restaurant or convenience store food. I was not disappointed with Alfredo's. Currently it's only outdoor seating or take out. You do have to go inside to the counter to order then wait outside for your order. Gyro was was good tender, I don't think it was a cucumber based sauce, if it was it lacked the flavor of it.

We stopped to eat a light dinner on the way back to Charleston. Nice clean presentation and covid restrictions in place. Menu has a nice selection. Service was great. Food was really delicious and I ordered a medium Stromboli- could eat only half of it - huge. Loaded with meat and delicious cheese. Several customers came in while we were there and it was obvious that it was a popular restaurant in town. We would definitely eat there again.

Phoned in for a takeout pepperoni roll! The young lady who took the order was very nice! When I arrived to pick it up the same young lady held the door when I was leaving! Above and beyond!

Zero stars ( 1 star because I'm forced) seeing as being over an hour early to your closing time is too late. Staff member slamming his hands on counter, sat us angerly, but we sat there for while and no one checked on us, no drink order, no menu. We left, didn't want my kids or myself to get shitty service due to them not being able to keep up with customers. Since we didn't get to eat, I'll assume their food is as horrible as their service and attitude. Thumbs down and big phooey on yall! BOOOO Alfredos, BOOOOOO!!!!

We find that Yelp is a great help in finding small family owned restaurants. Alfredo's is just the kind of spot that we like. My wife got the sub sandwich special which included a drink and a side salad. The lettuce and the veggies in the salad were fresh, and topped with grated cheese. My wife said the salad was worth the trip. I had the chicken Parm. over spaghetti. The meal included a side salad. All for 11 bucks. It was as good as I have ever had. Half of it is boxed up for an evening snack. And so if you ever find yourself in the small Little burg of Summersville, West "by God" Virginia, you will not be sorry you made the stop.

Their food is terrible. Heavy. Greasy. And bland. Italian is supposed to speak to your tastebuds and be appealing to your eyes. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to spend money and enjoy their meal.

Driving through on our way home to PA. We both ordered gyros; ok - NOT the best. Our meal came with "Greek salads" / NOT a Greek salad. The salad was lettuce , fake feta cheese A very thin slice of cucumber and a tomato slice. We also had fries - they where crunchy . Then the waitress brought us the oldest ugliest bottle of ketchup we have ever seen ! Would NOT touch that if you paid me. Definitely NOT a Greek restaurant. Maybe we should have ordered pizza?

Found on Yelp and it was a great find. The Greek salad and dressing was great, just too small. Eggplant Parm good as was Baked Ziti. Service was very prompt and courteous. Would recommend highly!

I was happy with the service at Alfredo's. I ordered their lunch special for a pizza. I thought the crust and cheese was great. I'd say Alfredo's has the best pizza in Canvas, WV. They have decent prices and a wide selection.

Good, serviceable gyro sandwich, nothing amazing, nothing horrible, just generally enjoyable. Good friendly service, looked clean. The Sicilian pizza looked good, so if I go back in again, I'll probably get that. Also, my friend's calzone looked good, so that may be another possibility.

My mom and I were only going to be here for a short amount of time. This is the first place we ate! The food was delicious we both had gyros! The meat was tender in both the chicken and lamb gyro! The French fries were bomb. We will be eating there again today! And the prices are very reasonable. Not to mention the woman was very nice and attentive even for us just sitting outside and ordering Togo!
