"This restaurant, the younger sibling of the award-winning Europa, bears the quality stamp and DNA of the Idoate family, where the brother-and-sister team of Iñaki and Esther run the dining room. It also happens to be one of Pamplona’s classic dining addresses – the reason why it is often full with its regular and loyal customers. The à la carte (with the option of ordering “raciones” so that you can try different dishes) is complemented by two tasting menus. One of its most typical dishes is the cod “ajoarriero” with lobster." - Michelin Inspector

Truly deserving of its fine-dining reputation, this restaurant delivers exceptional dishes from appetizers to desserts. They also have an excellent wine selection. I recommend ordering à la carte if you want to explore more of the menu, the staff know every dish by heart, and their recommendations genuinely impress. The dégustation menu is good as well. If you’re looking for the very best of Pamplona’s gastronomy, Restaurante Alhambra is an excellent choice.

We were there for a work lunch of 20+ ppl and I was the only Vegetarian at the table. They were quick to accommodate my Vegetarian needs and make it one of the best culinary experiences of my life. The simplicity of the dishes and the quality and taste really make you understand why they have a Michelin star. Perfection.

This is a place of culinary magic. Traditional flavors, unimpeachable ingredients brought forth in a modern way. Each plate satisfying, but leaving some room for the next one. The deboned piggy trotter pancakes will deliver the crunchiest, most delectable bite you can hope for. If good eats were illegal, this place would be felonious.

A great experience. We did the tasting menu and it was delicious. Very focused, friendly and attentive staff. Alhambra is true to it's reputation and worth a visit.

The dinner experience is top quality as expected from a Michelin star restaurant. The service was impeccable and the wait staff are always available to bring additional bread (which is hard to resist because it's so delicious), top off drinks, and clear empty plates. The amuse bouche in between servings are icing on the cake. But make sure to leave room for dessert. We had dinner during the San Fermín festival and it was truly a pleasant experience.

Outstanding. We enjoyed a terrific soup of "ponchos," similar to lima beans, and a wonderful salad of sliced tomato and white asparagus. Do not miss the roast pigeon! The service was extremely solicitous and caring. Well-worth a Michelin star.

Yelp
My wife and I had lunch there today and it was wonderful. They had fresh white asparagus and fresh peas for appetizers. The grilled lobster was perfect. My wife had hake Which was good but didn't love the cream sauce on it. The service was outstanding and a very pretty restaurant. You do not need to dress up

Yelp
In the top 5 restaurant meals in my life. Great food and service. A 2-3/4 hour lunch. (One good reason to eat lunch is that you get great service while you are still awake.) We walked in the front door on a "let's check this place out" and into the bar area. The door to the dining room was opened and we were effusively welcomed by 3 people. This in spite of my ratty appearance after walking for 3+ miles and sweating. I do look like an American tourista. We looked at the menu and said: "Yes!" This was impeccable food and service. Wine: Agusto Toreilo Mata bubbly (€30). Green apple, fresh. Amuse bouche: Three items: croquette with cheese and shrimp, shrimp, a sweet wafer of fruit Starter: Grilled red peppers with paper thin slices of bacon. You could see thru the bacon. The peppers had a bit of smoke. The flavors blended together perfectly. Salad: Tracie was craving a "green" salad so the chef created one for her. Lettuce, tomato, hard-cooked egg, olives, shaved fennel (€16). She devoured it. Special Starter del dia: Scrambled eggs with truffles. A hollowed out baguette was toasted and then filled with creamy scrambled eggs. I loved it as the truffles were mild. Main ( for the wife): Whole lobster, grilled. A 1kg lobster. Main (for the husband): Chipirones encebollas. You know how I am when baby squid are on the menu. Just the right size portion and so delicious. Postre: Chocolate cake with mint sorbet and raspberries. Wines: Bubbly and Niepoort white port. "Post" Postre: What? Yes, they served a dessert after the dessert. The ending amuse bouche. Three tiny dessert items of chocolate. Digestifs: Then, out came the liquors: Patxaran (a local specialty made from fruit) and its green, herbal cousin. And, then. Yes, there is more. They gave us a 1L bottle of the house patxaran in a fancy gift bag. + "The boss", Iñaki Idoate, kept showing me how to get the perfect bite for each food item. It was charming. + Single-use toothbrushes in the komuna. I used one. + Cloth table coverings and cloth napkins. + Hefty Dalia flatware which was changed out for every course. + Villeroy & Boch plates. + AMEX - Oops. There are none. €183 for lunch for 2 and more than worth it.
