One of my best experiences ever in terms of speaking with the building officials! Everyone was patient and friendly. They walked me through their permit process. They are helpful in evwryway.

Worst police and city they file charges against you with out any evidence and just because of the fact your a guy and Hispanic they discriminate this la council should do an investigation on this city a lot of wrongfully accused people and it look like they might be doing stuff there not supposed to just to get money off hard working citizens

Lame place just want to get money from its people. Issuing me a parking violation ticket at a place that I’ve never been to.

I am so proud of Alhambra city, they are cracking down on slumlords. As some owners who never fixed up their properties. Alhambra city is stepping in making sure the buildings are up to code plus appealing and clean. Alhambra took control of its name and for what they stand for. Hopefully their housing resource people like LACADA bring in respectful people versus homeless people who do drugs and liter the streets.

Very good experience doing business here! The parking permit process was easy and the guy behind the counter was very nice. The security guard went above and beyond to be of service to me and my boyfriend. Thank you so much sir, you are one of the good ones!!!

They would like to give you a ticket even if your parking permit was not on the right position of the car glass. They are nice and strict , and probably good at making people obey or yielding.

So I lived in Alhambra for 5 years, purchased a house and sold it and moved out in 2019. Closed utilities and specifically asked them if there was any outstanding balance. Was told no. 4 months later get a debt collector for 70 bucks. NO second notice, just straight to debt collections. Thanks for possibly affecting my credit. And over a measly 70 dollars.

Just come prepared with all necessary paperwork. Have your own understanding of what you are there for. Make proper appointments with the correct dept. They are all nice and are willing to help.

One email notice to renew their nighttime parking permits. If you miss it, a two week red tape paperwork process just to park your car in front of your own house! Charged daily fees while they drag their feet for two weeks! No one at city hall lifts a finger. The service is outsourced to incompetents in the name of security for our community. What a greedy, self-serving bureaucracy!

HR service was horrible. I called to inquire about a police clerk position and she was very vague. It was like pulling teeth trying to get information out of her. It seemed like she took no interest in her job which she gets paid for. Super unhelpful and poor customer service. Not to mention she's representing the city of Alhambra SMH.

I always have quick and easy to get to service here. The employees are always helpful without causing any delays in getting permits or information. Beware that due to the ongoing C19 pandemic that their hours our cut or you have to make an appointment.

The parking regulations in this city are an atrocious violation against all concepts of fairness. I was hit with an $110 ticket for parking past 2 am, and was told by the city cashier that the only posted signs are at the entrances to the city, not the actual streets. I don't even know where the city entrances are. What a disgusting way to fill your coffers. A greedy, disgusting city government that should be ashamed of its own existence. If you're thinking of visiting this city - don't.

Hi my name is Karin Boccalero and I want the top dog to know that Linda is excellent and the gentleman in the finance department that helped me with getting a parking permit was fabulous. Both were polite and went out of there way. My husband and I have lived in Alhambra all our lives. Im 64 and the customer service I received was the greatest!!! I have faith in my city still. Known for its world famous Warren Jenkins monument, the Alhambra City Hall building is a home away from home for the citizens of Alhambra as well as the music community of Los Angeles! My musical combo played the Alhambra Mainfest Music Festival and this beautiful building was used as the green room. There were plenty of chips and sodas and free beers. They had salsa and hummus and peanut butter and cheese and jelly and bread and rice cakes I tell ya it was a real nice spread. I haven't been here during normal business hours, so I'm not sure if they have snacks all the time but if they do I will most certainly be coming back to indulge!

I went to buy a bus pass for my mom today, The woman that served me had very bad attitude , she do not talk to me at all, just take my money out of my hand don't even tell me how much the total. She so lazy don't even want to open her mouth to talk, I feel so bad for her, if you really don't like this job, just go home~~~sleep~~~( the Mexican lady , wear black shirt)

As a fellow Government employee, it pains me to leave this review. I think the City of Alhambra employees need to take a refresher course in customer service. The young lady that answers the phone in the Parks & Recreation Unit, please get some manners. She barely answered my questions in full sentences with Ya and Ah Ha and when she transferred my call to another unit (also not very friendly) she just clicked and didn't say hold on. Ladies if you're unhappy then please look for another career. Get a clue, the tax paying citizens pay your salaries, no need to try and dump your unhappiness and irritation to the rest of the world.

I went here during mainfest & they had a lot of snacks. I wonder if they have snacks like that all the time? If so I might be interested in moving here- they were great snacks... I thought the statue in front was a real guy looking at his ipad for the longest time... That is some really nice green lush grass for this drought in California...

I like city of Alhambra A little old school but very Easy to apply and oh for permits Not so many loops and jumps as other cities Eat parking structure across the street So no worry about finding parking Reasonable prices on permits and business license fees as well. Through and through this is my third time here And haven't had a bad experience

I agree with many of the one star opinions. Customer service is not one of their strong traits. Maybe they have a job for life, don't understand. I've been calling for years Regardingon all the potholes on our street. I've lived here for 30 years. when they do send someone out to do some repairs, They selectively fill in some not all of the deep pot holes. I have never gotten a call back from someone explaining their action plans if any. Someone needs to re-train their agents as well as their supervisors. The receptionist seems to be the most understanding of your employees....thoughtful and knowledgeable person on staff. Very sad.

When I called yesterday, I expected to get an automated system, be on hold forever and then talk to some crabby person who hated their job. Instead - the phone was immediately answered by a friendly human, who transferred me to the right department, where someone nice answered the phone and promptly answered my exact question. Today I went in to get an overnight street parking permit and was again pleasantly surprised. Plenty of FREE parking nearby, easy to find, intelligent staff who were very helpful - the whole application process took MAYBE 3 minutes and I was out the door. Thanks Alhambra!

Horrible customer service, very rude and unprofessional. They are very lazy. They didn't know how to serve the customers. They just made mistakes and no one wants to fix the errors!! They just give me the hard time!

Very bad Customer Service , Not helpful they look Mad, Bitter . I ask them one question and they act like im bothering them . Employees their are getting payed for Nothing !!!!
