"Over in the San Gabriel Valley, the City of Alhambra Certified Farmers Market carries a spectacular assortment of locally sourced Asian produce, like bundles of watercress, Taiwanese spinach, bright green bok choy, and Chinese amaranth. Open since 1984, this medium-sized market also sells homemade salsa, live seafood, cherry tomatoes, and tonics made from apple cider vinegar. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Really love coming and buying all the yummy things they have to offer. They usually sell beautiful selection of flowers right at the front. My son and I try to take a stroll every Sunday.

Google

Google
Love this market. Everyone is always in a good mood. Lots of produce, fish, food vendors. We stopped here whenever we visit Alhambra.

Min Kyaw

Google
There is many varieties of fresh vegetables. It is expensive as organic food. It's good for health. Some vegetables are $10 per pound. It's also available tarco, burrito, korean foods, popcorn and dried peanuts. Sour leave $2.50

ANGELES ALEGRE

Google

Google
Great selection of vegetables, 3 bunches for $5. And California Avocados too, 3 for $2

Innovative Constructions

Google
Prices are better than other farmers markets yet products sold like veggies and all are still good in quality. Deals you get for grass fed steak and the honey vendor are specially good. The vendors are friendly and because this is a smaller venue, you get to know them personally. Best part is it’s not over crowded. Definitely recommend Alhambra Farmers Market.

Yelp
really cute farmers market on Sundays :) location: downtown Alhambra across from the old Denny's parking: residential street parking or free parking structure main takeaway: I usually go around 10am and it's never too crowded. the prices are really fair and I love supporting local farmers. def check it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
6/2/24 It's CHERRY season Woohoo! Love farmers markets simply for this-fruits & vegetables in the seasons' freshest form. I grew ip in a rural area in the Philippines, where rice is grown in the few farms in our town. Our neighbors had ducks & chickens (so did my family) & my great uncle would take his carabao (water buffalo) in the backyard to milk it--giving us fresh milk in the morning. So fresh produce that vendors sell fresh from their farms is my kind of Utopia. It gives me that feeling of wellness & wholesomeness whenever I visit any farmers market. This particular fmr mkt is not the biggest but it's filled with fruits, vegetables, cooked/prepared foods, plants & flowers. The vendors are friendly & you may certainly have samples of their produce. Pro tip, walk & shop around to see which vendor sells at the best prices FIRST, then make your choice. That's better than finding out later that you bought your fruit at $5/lb when you could've gotten it for $3/lb

Yelp
I like to come here every so often but minus the 1 star for the owner of the plant store not showing up when he said he would bring me the milkweed for my monarch caterpillars. He was a no-show!! But all the other vendors today, I was happy with, esp the quesadilla lady, she made a delicious brunch for us. Her salsas were not spicy as she said, but her quesadillas were tasty and filling!! And the date lady was nice as well. She let us sample the dates from Cochella before we bought a lb of it. Sweet and naturally sweetened. They don't add any sweeteners. Last but not least is the guy selling the pita chips and hummus at Yalla tizers was very nice letting me sample his products. I bought the avo hummus, taboulie salad, cucumber salad, and pita chips all for $25. And the oysters for $2/each. I can't wait to open them at home.

Yelp
Every Sunday from 8am - 1pm a multitude of local food and agricultural businesses convene in Downtown Alhambra. It's our go to place for gorgeous flowers, high quality meats, apple cider vinegar, houseplants, fresh popcorn, and eats on a Sunday morning walk. We've been coming for years and I can't believe this is the first time I am checking in and writing a review. Stay tuned for many more check ins and photos to continue to support our neighboring businesses.

Yelp
3.4 stars I've only been twice and it's a relatively small farmer's market. It barely takes up half the street. However, the vegetables/fruit that the vendors bring in are very fresh (and expensive). Today, I saw cherries for $7/lb, strawberries for $6/basket, nightshade vegetables around $3.50/lb, eggs started at $10/dozen...so, definitely on the pricey side. However, vendors are all very nice and helpful. (Note: those eggs are gorgeous! They were different shades of white, green, and blue!) On the prepared food side, there were tamales, coffee, dumplings, hummus, and etc. My personal favorite of the day is Leaflet Library, which sells some really good coffee. The menu is simple, but the freshly ground espresso beans used are fragrant. And I believe the milk used is oat milk or almond milk only. Worth a visit if you live nearby, but size of the market can be disappointing for those who prefer larger farmers' markets.

Yelp
This review is for Charvez's strawberries. I liked their strawberries before and recommended this vendor to my coworkers and friends, but the recent purchase experience is really bad. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but these are all very tiny. They only put several big ones on the top and all the one at the bottoms are tiny!! You wouldn't know when you buy it there until you get home and take them out of the baskets. I really feel being cheated to buy this kind of strawberries, I would never come back this vendor again.

Yelp
This review is for the Hong Kong bubble waffle place. There was only 1 worker working on a Sunday morning (June 9). No one was in line to order beside me. I stood there about 2 minute and he was so focus on his phone texting that he didn't notice me. I finally said hello, he still didn't hear. Then I said it louder "hello I want to buy waffle". He finally looked up and I told him I want a mochi waffle so he charged me and went ahead to make it. While preparing the waffle he is still into his phone that he kept texting then he begin to get some mixture on the floor in a giant bucket to pour into the smaller jar. He then added mochi and mixture. While it's baking he kept texting and texting and texting......

Yelp
This review is for Orchid seller Libby. She came to me and said, "I did not see you, I thought you died." while I was walking and shopping in farmers market 10/27/2024 at 1:35 pm. In the past she always wanted me buy flowers from her. Sometimes I said I already have, she still said get another one. SHE NEEDS PROFESSIONAL HELP.

Yelp
I've visited the Alhambra Farmers Market twice in the past couple of months and have had a great experience both times. It's best to arrive early as they tend to run out of items later in the day. The market offers a fantastic variety of vendors, ranging from seafood and vegetables to fruits, honey, bread, and even crafts like jewelry and candles. Many fruit vendors allow you to sample before purchasing, which is a nice touch. While I haven't found a standout strawberry vendor yet, I appreciate the quality of the seafood and vegetable vendors. The market is perfect for people-watching and strolling, especially since it's located on Main Street in downtown Alhambra, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Parking is easy to find with plenty of street parking, lots, and garages nearby. Whether you're in the area or a farmers market enthusiast, I highly recommend stopping by - there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Yelp
They have lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, plants, baked goods and even fresh seafood!! They variety is great and they also have food stalls. This is a great place for fresh local produce. Most take cash but some takes card. I recommend bringing cash. There is street parking and the market itself is near second street after garfield. My favorite purchases were white and yellow peaches so sweet and flavorful unlike supermarket fruit. It was $3.50 a pound, around the same as some supermarkets. I also purchased some nice strawberries. Overall, a great idea for a Sunday troll and love the options and availability. I believe it ends at 1 pm on Sunday and begins at 9am.

Dave H.

Yelp
Great community farmer's market located on 1st street in Alhambra. Plenty of parking in the nearby structures and plenty of venders - both food, produce and some nic-nacs, Very friendly venders. Some fun food venders too.

Mishi V.

Yelp
Nicely stocked fresh produce. Easy street parking. Organized with most produce stands on one side of the street and food vendors on the opposite side. Juices were $6 - $8 for a cup of juice.

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
Great farmers market with lots of vendors to fill the entire street! I came on the day they were also having a Lunar New Year Celebration so it was busier than usual. We parked a little farther away but didn't mind the walk as it was a beautiful day! We did a walk through twice to make sure we didn't miss anything. Lots of fruits/produce vendors to choose from, each selling generally similar things. Strawberries are in season so we got a basket and they were delicious! I also talked to a meat distributor that had wagyu american and australian cuts which was interesting. I want to buy from them next time! Lastly, don't forget farmer's market flowers! I find them superior to store bought in terms or abundance and durable. Mine are going strong through week two already with minimal wilting! Special for LNY, they had a set of cultural performances but the stage was too small and crowds were all over it so it was really hard to see, when it's not elevated enough from the crowd. There's also a large greenery field to lounge and hang out which is nice!

Powell M.

Yelp
Price is reasonable. Food is good. Tamales guy. The elote vendor. Popcorn. There's also one that makes iced tea and coffee drinks. Really delicious. Fruits and vegetables are fresh. All the vendor are very sweet. To the one running the farmers market program there's a vendor that sells sugar cane, popcorn chicken, fried tofu and waffle. Run by two guys. I don't remember their business name. They're almost like Chinese owned. Can you please have them be more sanitary because I been there a few times and their setup is just very dirty and their tables almost have dirt on them. I wish I would have taken pictures to show. But all the other vendors are very sanitary except that one.

Yelp
I love, love, love the Alhambra Farmers Market! The market is hosted on Sundays, and since the pandemic, it's been a little hit or miss in terms of filling up with vendors, but it seems more of a hit as of late. Yay! -Chavez Family Farms: love. I buy all my berries (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries) from them, and some by the flat. They're incredibly fresh and sweet, and whenever I introduce them to my family and friends, they ALWAYS ask me where I bought them or if I can buy more. https://instagram.com/chavezfamilyfarms805 -Rancho Santa Cecilia (for cherimoya). https://instagram.com/ranchosantacecilia -Bih Shan Farm (shiitake and oyster mushrooms). They have a variety of Asian produce, but I especially enjoy their mushroom options. So delish! -Bonjour Yogurt (blueberry, coconut, coffee, pineapple and my favorite - ginger) - 5 for $20 https://instagram.com/bonjouryogurts They also have ventures for eggs, oranges, honey, kettle corn, and more! Closes at 1 pm, and plenty of parking one street over or in the underground lot for the library.

Yelp
Successful first trip to the Arcadia farmers market. Sadly I was all stocked up on produce (plus we arrived late, around 1130am and some stalls had already been cleaned out) but we hs our full of all kinds of snacks offered at the various stalls: * Kettle corn & caramel corn (the kettle was fresh and hot and would recommend, probably pass on the Carmel though). Large = $8, med = $6 * Spinach & cheese pupusa - Fresh and very hot. Pupusa dough didn't have much flavor and the salsa tasted a bit like Pace. Still a yummy treat at 1/$4 or 3/$10 * Wei's Scallion Panacke hut - Cold noodle ($10), scallion pancake with egg ($8), leek pocket ($7). Leek pocket was delicious (leeks, glass noodle, tofu, egg inside). Egg pancake was delicious and I think the make the pancake in house. Would recommend both! *Fish & seafood stall - side of uni ($12) * Fresh sugar cane juice ($7) sooo sweet and refreshing on a hot day!

Yelp
Love this little market. Parking is pretty easy. Love that Ken's fruit stand is there. They have best mango nectarines!

Magda N.

Yelp
It's a pretty good farmers market. They have lots of vendors for fruits and vegetables. If you come at like 11 and above, you won't see much produce anymore. But that's when the lunch rush probably starts starts. The food/breakfast booths have long lines. They don't have much desserts (hours is 10-1pm) but they have lots of breakfast/lunch options. Even Wafflelands don't serve ice cream w/ waffles and they have rice dishes. The dumpling booth is good. There are rice dishes and noodle booths too. The kettlecorn booth smells so good but I wonder who will eat popcorn for breakfast. Best thing is the grass area for the library is a great place to sit and eat your food.

Josephine C.

Yelp
On a Sunday morning in March, I went with my sister to buy frozen dumplings at Cali dumplings stand. We walked around and noticed more food tents like fish tacos. It wasn't too busy yet because everyone was still asleep due to time change. Some vendors had strawberries of cheaper price $12 than $15. Anyway, nice day to check out the farmers market.

Sanora A.

Yelp
I have been a customer for mant years sine they were ik the parking lot So few places i frequent Honey place 5 out of 5 Popcorn place 5 out of 5 Bread place 5 out of 5 Yogurt 4 out of 5 Flower stand has fresh affordable flowers 5 out of 5 Most groceries is cheaper at the market so 3 out of 5. Brittani C.

Yelp
So many vendors!!! Fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt, honey, and many plants. There were various cooked food vendors as well. Definitely a highlight to our Sunday. There is 4 hour free parking on 1st Street.

Carl N.

Yelp
Eat fresh buy local has been my mission. Farmers Market is a great place to support your local farmers. As long you do not disturb the PEAS you'll be good. Lol. Anyway, this particular farmers market is a street block long in front of the city hall. It has a wide variety of vendors from vegetable to flowers to fruits to juices to organic oil etc. Prices were very reasonable. Vendors were very friendly and followed health protocol. Moreover, there are plenty of street parking and free parking garage surrounds the market. Overall, I always liked going to farmers market and support them. I highly recommend this place.

Megan C.

Yelp
This farmers market was okay compared to others that I've went to. It was pretty cute and small. Didn't see much vendors. I liked that there were food vendors, but very minimal. I'll try coming again sometime before the year ends.

Judy T.

Yelp
Over the years the market has been expanding and now covers more of the street than before. There are lots of free parking lots within walking distance, but the public library between 1st and 2nd street has shaded underground parking for the farmers market. There are lots of fruit vendors and some Asian vegetable vendors. Specifically there is a stand with gourmet mushrooms which is awesome! I've found cheap flowers, eggs, various fruits in season, veggies, wheatgrass, hummus, yogurt, honey, baked goods, and more. Food vendors include jian bing, Taiwanese food like noodles soup, egg crepes, tamales and tacos, kettle corn, pupusas. This past weekend there was a fresh salsa and guac stand. The salsa was delicious with customizable spiciness. I loved how the salsa had avocado pieces and black beans. I'm definitely going back. The sourdough vegetable bread from Old Town Baking Company is bomb too!

Carolyn T.

Yelp
Stumbled on this market and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of Asian produce. Maybe it was too hot hence few customers . Quality of items was good . Hope to be back

Yelp
As Easter is fast approaching, it time to do the Cemetery visits. Friend told us that this farmers market has a flower stand that sells flower bouquets for $3. We had to see for ourselves. This Farmers market operates on Sunday mornings, 8:30 to 2 something. Located on 2nd St., between Commonwealth and Main St. Public parking lot located between 1st & 2nd, just South of Main St., enter from 1st St. Street parking availabe around the neighboring streets. Found the florist with the $3 bouquet, Grant it, it wasn't roses or Lilly's, but some smaller flowers. Still looked nice, many colors to choose from. A fairly nice, decent size street market. Many different businesses representing here, got pretty crowded. Would be nice to come take a morning stroll through here.....if I lived a little closer.

Sophia S.

Yelp
One of my favorite farmer's markets in LA. Lots of fresh fruit and produce stands. Don't miss the lady near the center who sells shiitake, oyster, and wood ear mushrooms. I made udon with fresh shiitakes from her stand... chef's kiss!

Laura T.

Yelp
I been coming here for as long as I could remember, I normally popping in by myself or with my mom right at 8:30 am. We would do a quick round to see what's available that morning then turn back around to get whatever perked our interested. Flowers - Not going to lie, I bought most of my flowers from here. I love coming during the holidays, they carry a lot more flowers during that time or maybe its just me. The flowers offered are much cheaper then the grocery stores and definitely fresher. There is about 3-4 vendors here that sells flowers and fruit plants. Parking - I would normally park in the Alhambra Library underground structure or sometimes street parking on Commonwealth. There is plenty of parking so you wouldn't have to worry. But if you are going to park in the library structure, you would have to go thru 1st St. since 2nd St. is closed. Most of the items sold here are veggies and fruits and a lot of em are organic. A lot of hip vendors are popping up, which is awesome. Breakfast items are also available as well, I sometimes would pick up an item or two to go. I love that when you walk pass a vendor, they would offer samples for you to taste test. That hummus booth always gets me! I am a bit bias, I do live in Alhambra, so anything Alhambra makes me happy. I do recommend coming by to see for yourself why Alhambra Farmers Market is better then others, you should totally pop in and check out. I been a few other ones and those are totally horrible, a major fail. But Alhambra's has been going steady and strong, def growing. Everyone here is so friendly and nice, when you speak to them vendors, they give you the feeling of them being your aunt or uncle.. the nice ones of course. If you have questions, they will answer it and they are very knowledgeable too. Price - average if not a little more, prices non-negotiable Pet Friendly - i think so? I seen dogs walk around all the time Schedule - every Sunday, rain or shine, unless noted otherwise, 8:30 am to 1 pm Cash or Card - i would recommend cash, save you the hassle, I don't see any signs that says Cash Only Oh! Bring tote bags!!

Nari C.

Yelp
Love coming here for their fruits! I'm never disappointed. I am a diehard Whole Foods shopper, but Whole Foods sometimes doesn't have the sweetest fruits. Alhambra Farmers Market, however, consistently has the sweetest fruits! I recommend Cara Cara oranges! They're my favorite. I also love the fact that I'm supporting local farmers. You can tell they have a lot of pride in their fresh produce, and for good reason! Highly recommend. Just make sure to go early in the morning. I came around 2pm, and most of the vendors were packed up and ready to go home. Enjoy!

Sharon K.

Yelp
Open during covid-19. One of my favorite farmers markets in the area. They have wide range of fruits, vegetables, eggs, plants, flowers, etc. However, no cooked food stalls that I saw. The city has all the stalls spaced from one another. So each farmer is not directly next to each other. Which I really appreciate! Because not everyone believes in social distancing (6 feet away please)... There are signs posted everywhere "do not touch the produce unless you are going to purchase." One farmer did have a line to get into their stall. I really hope they keep the stalls spaced in the future. I do not feel the claustrophobia that I used to experience in the past.

Christina S.

Yelp
I live in Orange county and have made the trip out a few times to this farmers market. Parking seems a bit limited but I always seem to find only one spot! I have two go two vendors: the orchids and the dates. The orchids have been great 2/3 times that i got them (check the leaves!!!!!! make sure they are fresh!). They are a great deal for under $10. The dates have also been mostly a hit but were a miss this most recent time. 1 lb for $6 or 2lbs for $10.

Sophia H.

Yelp
No dog allowed. We visited the market around the noon time. There is not much people nor vendors there by the time we got there -- not sure if it's is due to the heat, or the Covid. Overall the veggie / fruits are not much cheaper compared to the ones in the market. However we do appreciate the local farmer and want to support them more. I'll definitely try to visit this place again to see if the experience would be a bit better.

Jun L.

Yelp
Start a new week with fresh fruits and veggies from the Alhambra Farmers Market! It's on 2nd Street right between the library and the high school every Sunday morning. 4 stars! The Alhambra Farmer's Market is a pretty good-sized farmer's market, and there's a good number of vendors and products to choose from. Not too big, not too small; just the right size. I always look forward to checking out what fruits are in season. Samples are often available, plus you can always ask the vendors for advice on how to choose the ripest ones. Also, since it's the SGV, the vendors typically carry fruit that's usually only found in Asian supermarkets, so it's a good opportunity to try out something new! I also look forward to checking out the fresh veggies, especially the new ones not typically found in the supermarket and ones I've never heard of. Have never been disappointed with the veggies from the farmer's market! In addition to fruits and veggies, there's an eclectic collection of items available at the Alhambra Farmers Market, such potted plants and herbs, fresh cut flowers, baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, as well as chips and salsa. I'm a huge fan of the chips and salsa stand, and I can almost guarantee that you'll want to purchase and take home the pineapple habanero salsa if you get a sample. Yes, I agree with some reviewers that prices at any farmer's market are much higher than your neighborhood supermarket, but you can always try to haggle down the price. Parking is always easy to find since there's usually lots of street parking on adjacent streets. If no street parking is available, there's also a free city parking structure on 1st street that's within a very short walking distance. I highly recommended that you come early for the best selection as well as to avoid the heat on a hot day. There's not a lot of natural shade in the area, and it can really get hot on a hot day in Alhambra. 20/100 for 2017

Kelly P.

Yelp
Alhambra farmer's market is such a nice find! I checked it out around noon on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the number of vendors! I think there were maybe 15-20 booths when I went and they sold a nice variety do things including food, flowers, fruit trees + house plants, fruits and veggies, and even fresh salmon! The prices are pretty average for a farmer's market and some stuff seemed like it was cheaper than what you'd find in a store! Vendors were really friendly and it took me about 30 minutes to walk through the entire thing with stopping and looking at stuff! Also make sure you bring cash!! Most of the vendors take only cash sooo don't forget it! There's street parking all around and some parking lots on adjacent streets! If you're looking for a small farmer's market, this is a great spot!

Michelle L.

Yelp
This farmers market is absolutely fantastic!! Great produce and food and such a friendly atmosphere!! Some vendors are hit or miss and I've been twice waiting for a specific hot sauce guy and he has been gone or not there unfortunately. However the variety is great and the prices are also really impressive! The vendors are also happy to help until closing time if they're there. It's absolutely fantastic and in such a great area.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Dear Alhambra Farmers Market, I love you. I truly do! You are one of the reasons I love my city so much. Every Sunday from 8:30am to 1:00pm, you show your presence in my beautiful city. And now, since you've moved to 2nd street, you are even closer to me than before! No, you are not as huge as ones in L.A., but you are wonderful as you are. -Jennifer Pretty much all of the vendors are the same as when they were located off of Bay St. There's still fresh fruits and vegetables (some are organic), baked goods, flowers, jams/jellies, honey, herbs, foods and drinks. Yes, products may be slightly more expensive than what you'd find at a store, but really...this is a Farmers Market, don't expect to get amazing cheap deals. I like the layout a bit more. The one long stretch makes it feel cleaner and more open. As per my review of the former location, my favorites are still: 1. Old Town Baking Company - based in Rancho Cucamonga. I love how fresh their bread is. Mom and I usually get way more than enough. :( My favorite is the Jalapeño cheese. 2. Harris Family Apiaries - honey guy! I love honey sticks, pollen, and EVERYTHING about this stand! Parking is a non-issue! There may be slight issues with street parking since there are many church goers at the same time, but there is also the parking structure for the Alhambra Library. And one street away is a large parking structure as well. We can walk a little, right folks? FINAL VERDICT: The new location of the Alhambra Farmers Market is STILL great place to take a Sunday morning stroll, buy a few fresh flowers and bread, and grab a bite to eat.

Juan F.

Yelp
One of the closest farmers market by my house. Size wise, it's bigger than the Monterey Park farmers market but pales in comparison to the Monrovia one. They have a decent selection of produce and other items such as flowers, plants and meats. The best part is probably the actual food vendors. Parking is relatively easy in the area.

Franklin M.

Yelp
I've been coming to this market for more than a decade. We love trying out all the samples they give out so you know what purchases to make. I've seen many vendors come and go depending on their sales but we always enjoy the ambiance and great variety of goods.

Lily T.

Yelp
Always a pleasure to come to this market on a Sunday morning! Strawberries, avocados, grapes, peaches, nectarines, cactus, wheat grass, organic offerings as well. Flowers, bonsai, orchids and other plants to purchase as well. Many Asian vegetables and melons. The lemongrass here is always better than the market! Carrots are $2 a bunch. Today we purchased verdolagas. Also, we tried the green onion pancakes which you purchase then pan fry at home. They were delicious! We also purchase beeswax bars from the honey man so we can make candles and lip balm. Saw a vendor selling uni and sashimi today. I have been to farmers markets all over LA and boy am I glad our sweet little town of Alhambra has this local gem.

Lucy W. H.

Yelp
A lot of fun and good eats. Be sure to try the pork belly bao. You can park for free in the garage under the library. There's one stand that sells the best looking bok choy ever, but it's also $6 a pound.

Connie T.

Yelp
My first time here and I found many stands with fresh Asian vegetables compared to supermarkets we go. Reasonable prices for nactrins and strawberries. I found street parking easily and I was even given a nice insulated recycled shopping bag. I can't wait to try all the stuff I bought today and I can't wait to come back.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Momma and i love coming here ! We always eat at the diner on Main Street then walk over for fresh veggies and fruit ! I like coming here for the strawberries because they're HUGE and sweet ! I prefer to get my fruits here because they slice up samples and it's guaranteed that they'll be fresh And I love coming here for fresh veggies ! They have colorful looking cauliflower that I don't always see in grocery stores , so I normally just come straight here It's fairly small and short but everything is still fresh ! There's also fresh flowers for sale . Sometimes they have little stands where they sell ice cream or other eateries . And jams :p

Ken W.

Yelp
Fun and refreshing way to spend an early Sunday morning. Having left TW only 1 week ago, we craved TW food! Ordered popcorn chicken (yes a great breakfast food lol), fatty pork in steam bun, and scallion pancake w/ egg. All pretty good, particularly the chicken as the batter was very light, chicken was juicy, and had just the right amount of spicy pepper. Washed it down with a spinach pineapple drink from the Mexican vendor next door. Farmers market is small, but there is a good variety of fresh fruits and veggies as well as some preserved jams, organic iced cream, and flower/plant vendors available. I also reallly like that parking is readily available in the adjacent businesses parking lot and not crowded. Would recommend!

This farmer's market is open every Sunday from 8:30 to 1 pm. I have never been to the Thursday farmer's market. We usually park at the free parking at the library entering through 1st street and walk up the ramp to the market. This farmer's market has a good selection of prepared food and produce. It's about half and half. We usually go for the prepared food. They really have a large selection of different prepared foods ranging from carne asada fries to freshly prepared smoothies. My daughter likes getting the pork belly bao from the Chinese food vendor. It's around $6. They also have popcorn chicken, soup, and meat wrapped in a Chinese pancake at that stall. I also recommend trying the natural jerky, the French yogurt, and the pita bread from the hummus place. The pita bread are like little fluffy pillows of delight.

Yelp
I love coming here on Sunday mornings before church! I go to church a few blocks down and every 2nd week of the month I come a few hours earlier before church starts and walk to this farmers market to see if I can find any fresh fruit for my breakfast and for snacks for the rest of the week. I love getting the organic fuji apples, fresh and sweet oranges, and dried fruits (persimmons). SO GOOD. Sometimes they have a yogurt vendor - I've made the mistake of buying it before I think about how I'm going to keep them cool during church... Oops. There are many great fresh produce stands selling the fruit that's in season or veggies. There are also a few flower vendors. I like how this farmers market have a great selection of food vendors too. Egg waffles, tamales, pupusas, elote, sweet potatoes, smoothies, Taiwanese breakfast food, etc. I would definitely recommend checking this farmers market out if your in the area. It's a little small compared to other markets I've been to so I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but since it's there... why not? I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Decent farmers market. Not too big and not too small. Free parking and open every Sunday.

Yelp
A cozy farmer's market seemingly in its infancy stages. They're there Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings but you'll get more vendors on Sundays. Nevertheless, there is some great potential and one can only hope it progresses as time passes. There are a lot of organic vendors from peaches to honey to corn. What I come for are the food vendors. The waffle vendor is acceptable. They don't have a storefront but are trying to make their presence known at farmer's markets and food fests. The shining star of this market is the salsa guy. I was able to try out his salsas on his first day at the market and I've been going back every Thursday since (he just got approved to have a booth on Sundays). He makes all of his salsas fresh with his gf as well as fries his own chips. He's been rolling out new recipes, whilst experimenting others, so I've been able to try something new every week. His star salsa is no doubt the mango habanero. Make sure you give it a try, especially if you like sweet and spicy. Make sure you have a drink handy. His salsas pack an incredible punch! If you bring pets, you will be asked to keep them out of the cooking booths so make sure you have a buddy with you. The farmer's market provides tables so you can sit and enjoy the live music but if you're looking for something fun, try bringing a blanket, lay it out on the grass and have yourself a little picnic.

Yelp
Alhambra Farmers Market is open Every Thursdays 5 pm- 9:30 pm & Every Sundays 8:30am to 1:00pm. Located on 2nd street, right in front of Alhambra High School, there is plenty of free street parking available (there is also a few small parking lots available as well). Not knowing that there is a farmer's market here, my husband and I, along with our little dog (unfortunately there is a sign that says "no dogs" allowed, so my husband just walked on the side walk while I walked on the street to look at every vendor's booth), came by to see what was for sale. This farmers market is pretty small, but does offer a great amount of produce. I was really impressed with the quality of the produce that I saw (currently what is in season includes strawberries, apricots, nectarines). I was also to see a few vendors selling chicken eggs, right from their farm. There are also some vendors that are selling their products and there is also a few food vendors as well (unfortunately we had both already ate dinner before coming, so we did not buy any of the food, but it did look good). I think it is nice that Alhambra has a farmers market that is open twice a week. But it is rather on the small side and so I wouldn't make a special trip to come out here. But if I was around Main Street, I would definitely be sure to make a visit.

Yelp
Every Farmers Market has their unique charm and their unique vendors. I specifically come to this one when I am looking for some good organic asian vegetables. There are a few vendors that are my absolute favorites to go to. One of them is the certified organic vendor that is about middle of the farmer's market that sells a ton of asian vegetables. The family that runs the farm grows the stuff, they are certified, and they are really nice people. There is a big difference in taste in organic vegetables and not organic ones. The family is so nice you can ask them all your questions like if a certain veggie that grow has more of a sweet taste, or which one is good for what dish, or how they think its good to cook said vegetable, etc. They have pea sprouts, chinese broccoli, baby broccoli, yams, sweet potatoes, ginger, papaya, leeks, onions, cilantro, chives, napa cabbage, taiwanese cabbage, their own picked mustard greens, chayote squash leaves, onions, carrots, cauliflower, bok choy, the white bok choy, taiwanese spinach, celery, you choy, bitter melon dried pieces for health, and lots of other things that rotate sometimes. Their prices run about $6.00/lb. Across the street from them is this sweet lady that grows and runs her own booth and she is one of the few vendors I have seen that sells affordable mushrooms, her main crop is oyster, shiitake, and wood ear. She also has an assortment of vegetables that rotate. She also has those expensive dried mushrooms, I think they are called reiki mushroom? I am not sure. There are also a lot of other great vendors I like here, like a sprout vendor (he's usually got that grumpy bear vibe thought lol), a vendor that sells really fresh organic lettuce, flowers, organic kales, broccoli vendors, there is this guy who only sells fuji and lady apples and they are crispy and delicious and organic! There's also a lot of good food vendors, like for salsa, chinese breakfast, popcorn, etc. There is free parking on the street around the farmers market and free lot next to it or across the street from the library.
