The food is very good and so there is quite a long queue of people waiting for the tables to be available. So, given the rush service is slow and so expect your orders to take time and if there is any other additional requests like to bring a spoon or fork, expect them to forget and you need to remind them. The atmosphere is good and the decor is good not great but still ok

I recently visited Alibaba and 41 Dishes in Munnar, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Service (2/5): The service was below average. The staff seemed uninterested and not very attentive to customer needs. Atmosphere (3.5/5): The ambience was decent, with a good seating arrangement and pleasant decor. However, it didn’t make up for the overall experience. Food (1/5): The food was a major letdown. I tried the biriyani, inji puli chicken, and kunafa with ice cream, but none of them met expectations. The biriyani lacked flavor, the chicken was overly tangy, and the kunafa was poorly prepared. Overall, the food was expensive and far from tasty, making the experience not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good food in Munnar.

Visited this place for lunch. The menu consists of South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese etc. We tried Sweet Corn Soup followed by Butter Chicken and Chapati. The soup was good. The chicken definitely could be better. The service was fast. The staff was well trained. They have ample parking for four wheelers. The place might get busy during peak hours so plan accordingly.

I had high expectations for Ali Baba Restaurant in Munnar based on its reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. Firstly,The seating arrangement felt cramped, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. Tables were not properly cleaned, and the floors seemed sticky, which was quite unhygienic. The service was extremely slow. it took almost 30 minutes for our order to arrive. The staff appeared disorganized and inattentive, and we had to remind them multiple times about our requests. Coming to the food, it was a huge letdown. The portions were small for the price, making it poor value for money. To make matters worse, the hygiene standards were questionable. We noticed flies around the tables, and the cutlery provided was not properly cleaned. It made us hesitant to even finish our meal. Overall, Ali Baba Restaurant failed to deliver in terms of food quality, service, and cleanliness. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dining experience in Munnar.

We were taken here by our tour guide but we also saw the restaurant had some nice reviews as well as serving Kerala cuisine. Pretty easy to find a table and we were seated quickly. We tried to order the Neymeen Pollichathu but that was unavailable. We ended up ordering the Prawns Roast which was pretty nice. We did think there was going to be large pieces of shrimp but it seemed to be just all grinded down together. We also ordered Parotha which was nice. Based on the price, the food was solid as well as the restaurant.

The worst restaurant experience I’ve had so far! We had to wait around 30 minutes just to get inside. There were 8 of us, and we ordered a variety of dishes, including Alfaham, noodles, fried rice, tandoori, and biryani. It took about 20 minutes to serve the food, which was reasonable, but what we received was incredibly disappointing. The tandoori, priced at ₹180, was supposed to be a half portion, but the quantity was barely enough for one person, let alone two. In other restaurants, Alfaham and tandoori usually come with kuboos or some sides, but here, there was nothing. The Alfaham was bland, tasteless, and felt like it was made from very old chicken. The noodles and fried rice were minimal in portion size and definitely not worth recommending. To make it worse, the food was overpriced, and the quality was far below expectations for the price charged. Overall, this place is absolutely not worth the queue, waiting time, or the money. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointed!

Alibaba & 41 Dishes in Munnar offers a decent mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The Arabic Kunafa is a standout and highly recommended, while the mint mojito is refreshing and enjoyable. However, the Kerala fish curry, prawn masala, and chicken curry are average, with all dishes cooked in coconut oil, which may not suit everyone’s taste. While the ambiance and variety are good, the flavors can feel a bit underwhelming for some dishes. Worth a visit for specific items, but not all dishes hit the mark.
