"Après is a ski town tradition typically affiliated with the wintertime, but in Tahoe, it’s a year-round pursuit. Nothing quite caps off a great day of outdoor adventure — be it skiing, biking, hiking, swimming, boating, climbing, and so on — than a crisp brew sipped in the shade beneath towering trees. Alibi Ale Works brews a wide-ranging selection of craft beers with water sourced straight from Lake Tahoe. Alibi’s Incline Public House has more than 18 beers on tap, a menu with pizza, sandwiches, and salads, plus plenty of seating indoors and outside. If the day’s adventure ends in Truckee, Alibi’s Truckee Public House is a great option, too." - Julie Brown Davis

Ended up here after trying to eat at Gus that happened to be closed … the restaurant it’s a decent Size and lots of tables to sit yourselves, there’s no hostess and you can order at the bar or table by scanning a menu I guess it’s modern but it feels Somewhat impersonal but that’s just Probably me , the lady the came out with part of our order Was nice our server who came The second time It was his first day but helpful … My husband and sons order the wagyu burger and they like it , I order the rude boi shrimp tacos and the shrimp was not up to standards they cut the shrimp in all prices and the chipotle sauce made the tacos almost unbeatable because of how spicy they are, the pretzel with cheese was ok

Google
This pub was semi-serviced, you have to order at the bar, get a number tag and find a table to wait for the order delivered. We liked the outdoor seating area and the beer, the flatbread/pizza was great, the pretzel was shaped like the store’s logo, very cute and delicious. We had lunch here and I think eating here at night would be more fun when there is live music and lighted beer garden to enjoy.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Vibes were excellent. Nice seating areas both inside and outside. Outside patio area is especially cool. Tried an IPA as well as a Pale Ale from their beer menu, both were excellent. I also tried one of their sours; I’m not the biggest fan of sours but this one was particularly rough - overwhelmingly sour with few redeeming qualities. I tried their Bee Sting pizza; it has quite a bit of flop but was otherwise excellent. It was a bit pricey however in my opinion. Overall this place is a great choice for a chill evening with some excellent pints and tasty food. The staff is friendly and attentive. However, if you’re looking for a place on the cheaper side to grab some dinner or drinks I would look elsewhere; you will definitely be dropping some coin to enjoy yourself here.

Google
Wide selection of beer. The two different IPAs we had were great. We also enjoyed a wonderful pizza - the pie was on a thinner crust which I like. None of us left uneaten crust on our plates. Atmosphere is relaxed and know that this is an order at the counter our with a QR code type of place. The staff was friendly, but on the day we were there there was a large private party on the outdoor deck which meant that it was a long wait each time you went to the counter.

Went on the recommendation of a close friend. The food was great, we had the cucumber salad, the picnic basket burger and a couple of beers they have on rotation. Met Chef Scott and he gave my wife and I a kiss. Chef Scott is the close friend, he’s doing a beautiful job in that kitchen and can’t recommend this place enough. Go check it out!

Google
Food is nice bar fare, quality, but at a bit of a premium. Craft beer selection is solid for such a small area, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Long tables and four-sided bar-top leaves plenty of room for groups. The staff is friendly but not annoying, professional, and seem to have a good sense of humor. All in all, a great spot to stop in for a laid-back lunch after getting off the hill, or just some brews with the boys. Oh, and they have live music (check with staff for days) and country line dancing every first Monday of the month. Expect a meal and a drink to run you ~ $35

Google
Not how I wanted to spend my Father's Day. COVID restrictions are over. They want you to scan a bar code and place your order online. Food and drinks get dropped off and the you are never checked on again. Four employees stood around behind the bar joking with each other. To top it all off the tip defaults to 18% I am not paying an 18% tip for someone to drop off food and bus a table. The food was decent which is the only reason this isn't a 1 star.

Google
Great atmosphere, nice patio, good beer and delicious pizza. Was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service. Lot of staff in this town seemed annoyed and tired of dealing with tourists. I get it, tail end of long summer tourism season and they’re tired but still nice when you find a place like this that has pleasant people even at end of a long season. Would recommend.

Yelp
We dined in for dinner tonight and loved all the food here. We ordered a mustache pretzel with spicy mustard and cheese, mac n cheese, a pepperoni pizza, Santa Fe chicken salad, fries, and a side salad. I loved it! The fresh berries and goat cheese are my favorite combo in my Summer salads! I'm so excited for Summer and more visits! I'm hoping their construction of their patio is done next time I'm in. I loved the artwork and appreciated all of the woodwork in this bar. It's beautiful, very spacious and three rooms not including their patio. Each area had it's own vibe and we went with a darker quiet area appreciating the sunset and the views of the mountain. I loved the fact that it was open seating and the ability to order via QR code at your table. Water is self serve at the bar or you could order at the bar then have your food delivered. There was gentleman duo this evening and they provided exceptional service with a full house! I'm very happy with the service we received tonight so thank you. (Some people still tip on service.) ‍ The pizza was uh-mazing here! I'm not sure if I'm a fan of beer cheese, but I'll try it again just to make sure. I loved my mustache pretzel with mustard and everything else we indulged in. My only wish is that we had room to have some dessert. Check out their clever drink menu! We look forward to coming back; dinner here was the perfect way to end our perfect day!

Yelp
Took 50 minutes to get a single pizza on a slow Sunday at 6PM. Bar tender had an attitude and all three of the beers I sampled tasted terrible. Don't waste your time.

C S.

Yelp
Been here a few times over the last year. It's a decorative, basic bar. Food is a bit overpriced and service is monotone. If you buy a 4-pak or Crowler, it's frowned up drink it at the establishment. (Tap prices are higher so the bartenders, thusly impacting the tip). Don't be expect to be waited on, so don't tip.

Alex M.

Yelp
Second time here and still pleased with the food and beer selection! We sat on the patio and enjoyed some live music after a morning on the lake. The staff are friendly and the food comes out quick. You can either order at the bar or via QR code on the tables. They have an awesome outdoor space with a little beer garden and several places to sit. We like it here and will be back again!

Cassandra A.

Yelp
Salad was excellent! QR code menu was easy and fast. Beer was good. Servers weee friendly. Loved the beer menus. Modern industrial cabin feel inside, with large seating tables.

Lew W.

Yelp
With about 20 brews to choose from, there's something for every beer lover. They have some interesting takes on IPAs. Recommend getting a flight to discover what your favorite might be. Their menu has some nice offerings, but we were just happy to enjoy some beautifully crafted beer. They have live music in season, but we're here just before the crowds descend on the lake area. The fellow serving, Sebastian, was awesome! Cheers!

Beth N.

Yelp
Really great ambiance in this place. There are instructions as you walk in the door about how to order, but it is still slightly confusing. We sat at the bar and ordered an ale and a berry beer. Best berry beer I've ever had. Officially its a sour, but it was light refreshing and not overly sour like some of them are. We had the signature mustache shaped pretzel. It arrived hot, yummy, and not super salty. They served it with mustard and beer cheese. We shared a Caesar salad and a cheesesteak sandwich. Both were perfect in every way.. Too bad this place is so far from my house, I could make it my new favorite brewery. But next time I'm in Incline, I'll be stopping by to try more beers and their famous pizza. Can't wait

Sara C.

Yelp
I love Alibi! They have been consistently solid since their inception. With dozens of their own brewed beer selections, and wine options to boot, you are sure to find something for you! The indoor space is open and inviting, and in the summer you can be sure to enjoy their vast outdoor beer garden seating. You'll probably want to catch some live music here as well! Or maybe try some line dancing or karaoke. Alibi does it all. And does it well. Their food is high quality, and they make sure to include vegans and vegetarians in their offerings. And they are always thoughtful about it. It's never "just a veggie burger". My only plight is the price. Yes, costs are always rising these days, and it's not like they are putting hidden fees anywhere, but it does seem a little steep. $18 for my (delicious) Mushroom French Dip and an additional $4 for fries. Yummy yummy, but ouch! But at the end of the day... you know I'll be back!

Emma S.

Yelp
Stopped here to hang out and get some lunch after walking around Sand Harbor. The staff was really friendly and let me try before getting a drink. I really wanted to try the hard kombucha, but they were out of it. Definitely get a pizza!! The crust is so good (and sourdough!!) and the toppings are A+! I got the herbivore and it was delicious! I loved the spice from the pepperoncini!

Tom G.

Yelp
This is a nice place with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It was very crowded and the line to order was long. After ordering a flight, I was told they were out of glasses and I would have to come back. After 15 minutes, back in line. They had the glasses but no compensation for the wait. We also ate and I had the Philly Cheesesteak, which was very good. The beers: Split Shot Watermelon Wheat (great) Black Beards Delight Schwarzbier (great) Porter English style (great) Nitro Oatmeal Stout (very good) Kolsch (very good) Saison (great) Split Shot Orange Wheat (great) Nitro Dry Irish Stout (great)

Pamela P.

Yelp
Yummy food and beer. Patio is great in Spring and Fall (not too hot or cold). Gluten free food options and celiac safe. Servers are very nice.

Kris M.

Yelp
Just a quick update...........Still awesome Good beer, and the cheesesteak is the best on the lake.

Ella T.

Yelp
We stopped in just for a few beers. It is a very cute place with an amazing outdoor area. There were a wide variety of beers to choose from and we were very happy with what we tried! The lady that took our order was very nice and even let us sample a few. We will definitely be back to try the food, the menu looks very good!

Ed A.

Yelp
This place is overrated and way overpriced. I had their Alibi Cheesesteak sandwich. I found the beer cheese sauce mediocre, the portion size ridiculously small and the amount of beef laughable. You don't get any fries with this and they charge you $20. Fries cost pennies to make. So why not give them to your customers as part of the deal? The service is good. The ambiance is great. Their main product the food like I said is overpriced and overrated. If you are well off you, may be ok with this establishment. I am not well off. The pizzas look more of a value. We are not coming back anytime soon.

Yelp
9.30.23: I came up from Reno for a music festival. Originally the event was going to be outdoors on the patio but due to the weather they switched gears quickly and moved it to indoors. I think they did a fantastic job of dealing with that at the last minute. The servers and bartenders were friendly and informative when asked about their menu. The beverage selection was expansive and offered a variety of gourmet beers that any connoisseur would be able to find something to order. I tried this black berry cider at the recommendation of a bartender and liked it so much that that's what I ordered the rest of the fest. I tried their pizza and told another bartender to pick out a pizza he likes. I'm not sure if it had a name but visually I saw pepperoni and sausage with traditional marinara sauce. It was thin, hot and fresh, and really delicious. As for the live music, the sound was great despite some screeching of the mic at times. With that many bands and little time in-between sets, it's expected especially when it seemed like the bands had to be their own sound engineer. I really enjoyed this place and hope they continue to have live music. Like I said, this music fest was supposed to be outside on the patio and if it was, it would have been awesome. There are tables and a stage area. Also, there's overhead heating lamps in 2 sections of the tables area that gave off some good warmth. The women's bathroom was clean and one stall is handicapped accessible. There is a shared parking lot, but parking isn't that great.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I liked this brewery! They had a really nice outdoor space with lots of seating. I had the Oktoberfest beer, I enjoyed it. We shared the pretzel which was tasty and the wagyu cheeseburger. It was definitely one of the tastier ones I've had. I'd recommend a stop by here!

Alicia W.

Yelp
Alibi is a great place to stop by in the Incline Village area! My friends and I finished up a backpacking trip by Spooner Lake and drove the 20mins to celebrate with beers and snacks here. There is a large parking lot outside. Plenty of seating both inside and outside on the patio. You seat yourself and then go order at the counter. This is one of the places I've been most disappointed to find out is NOT dog friendly because the grassy area of their backyard patio looks like it is begging to have dogs running around! I think they would have even more business if they allowed dogs on the patio because this is normally quite a dog-friendly area. They had a lot of beer offerings, I went with the Kolsch which was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. The food felt pretty overpriced to me, the sandwiches range from $16-20 but do not come with any sides. You can add a side of fries for $4 or get a large appetizer of fries for $8 to split. The pizzas all ranged from $25-30. Too much for a lunch meal, in my opinion. Their small plates were more appropriately priced, we split some fries and pretzels which I was a big fan of! The fries were seasoned and crispy, I got a side of beer cheese which was delicious. We had both the regular pretzel and the sweet pretzel--you cannot pass up the sweet pretzel! It had a great ratio of cinnamon and sugar, but the dipping sauce of salted caramel mascarpone cheese was the highlight. Nobody really comes to check on you, so not much to say about the service. There are water stations around so you can fill your own water. You go back inside if you need anything else. Overall, this is a good place to get a snack and a beer. However, I would go elsewhere if I had my dog with me or wanted a full meal at a more reasonable price!

Lisa R.

Yelp
Food used to be good. No bueno. Terrible fish (very fishy) and steak sandwich: all bun. Will not go back.

Raied S.

Yelp
Came in here to kill some time. Nice atmosphere but it smelt like mildew up by the bar. Try any food however their beers are pretty good just too expensive $10 for a pint of IPA. It was on a Tuesday afternoon so its kind of slow service was good, but didn't need much service myself.

Michael J.

Yelp
Great beer! So so food! We ordered the carnivore pizza and the forager pizza. Definitely pass on the forager. It was profoundly salty and unsatisfying in all aspects. It was so bad, I had to request a replacement meal for it, the margarita pizza. Nevertheless, their pizzas are clearly a work in progress, or it's just time to bring in someone who knows how to make a good pie. The crust tastes okay, but it's weak and limp. The toppings turn it to mush. How this has gone unnoticed without rectifying it is beyond me. The taste combination on the carnivore was good, but the quantity of toppings were sparse, especially considering the steep prices. Which is to say, for the product served, the prices are exorbitant. I'll pay for a premium product. Their food is not worth patronizing the establishment. I did enjoy their beer. I had an excellent Kolsch. The premises are beautiful and clean. It clearly looks like they have been recently renovated/improved upon. I don't have a frame of reference from before, but it's a wonderful setting. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and tried to rectify the food shortcomings, which are clearly out of the front of the house staffs hands. We were the first in today for lunch, but they filled up quickly and to the entire restaurant by the time we left about 75 minutes later. A loud and energetic vibe of patrons.

Chrissy C.

Yelp
Always have to stop by here every time I'm in Tahoe! An absolute fave spot for so many reasons. Atmosphere is fun. In the back of the compound, there is a yard and patio which has plenty of seating and activities. Indoors also has a large and great space. They always seem to have the best music playing too. The first time I ate here, I remember the pretzel winning my heart. But more recently we tried the herbivore pizza & wings. Didn't disappoint! Already miss it & looking forward to next trip up.

Breanna C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with beautiful grounds for outdoor seating (they have indoor seating as well). Yummy pizza - we had the Sassy Goat and mustache pretzel which was tasty and made a cute picture. Friendly servers too! Highly recommend

Kelly S.

Yelp
We stopped in for bingo on Tuesday night. When we arrived they had some chairs set up in an area. Turns out it was for a movie premiere. We tried a few beers and the beer cheese pretzel. The inside was spacious and clean. You order at the bar. The real problem came when we inquired about the bingo. We were told that it was at the brewery this particular night due to the movie premier. We were provided directions and set out for the brewery for bingo. Only, it wasn't open. Wish the communication was better and the bartender just told us it wasn't happening as opposed to sending us to a closed location. At that stage, we just found another place to go to because we didn't want to go back after being sent on a goose chase (yes, it may only be a few blocks but we also wouldn't have drank our beers so quickly or given away raffle tickets purchased cause we were leaving). All and all, I'm sure the place is fine on a normal night but I don't think I've ever had something like this happen due to lack of communication on sister locations.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Very nice place to stop by in a really nice environment. Good beers, wines and kombucha. Very disappointing that they do not allow dogs even outdoors with the amazing patio they have. We wanted to stay longer but if the dog is not allowed therefore this is not our place to stay. We came for vacation and our dog is part of our family - why would we leave him alone? Good luck and best wishes

David S.

Yelp
This place is absolutely awful! I sat at the bar for at least 30 minutes and never once did the bar tender come around. The service here is horrible and the staff here is awful. There are so many better places in the area to get a drink... avoid this place at all costs Don't make the mistake I did of coming to this awful place, go elsewhere for your drinks!

Danica P.

Yelp
My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we were told to stop here. SO GLAD WE DID! the food is amazing. My husband had the beer cheese fries and we split the pesto chicken sandwich. I LOVE PESTO!! THE BEST PESTO! oh the beer is great too ;)

Doug S.

Yelp
Heard from a local about this spot. Good vibes and great food! Went for lunch and the beer cheese fries are LEGIT! Great beer menu and service was simple and friendly.

Candace M.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place two evenings in a row while visiting the area in beautiful August. I am still pandemic cautious, as we are still in a pandemic, so I chose this place because of its expansive outdoor seating. Their beer garden was absolutely lovely! One time I had their kombucha on tap, and another time I stuck with wine. Their pours on all were generous and friendly. I also got food one of the times I was there, a vegan black bean soup and it was delicious. Loved the atmosphere and would make it a point to come back to this place anytime I return to the area. Oh, and check their schedule of events - I lucked out with live music one evening which was a great treat!

Matt C.

Yelp
I've had better food at hospital cafeteria. The food is not good. Service is lacking, great location, outdoor seating is nice. Did I mention the food is not good?

John P P.

Yelp
Dropped by this place recently, and it's a gem for grabbing some beers and grub. The staff is super friendly, creating a cool vibe as soon as you step in. Had their burger, and it's a winner! Solid taste, and I'm totally putting it on my reorder list. And don't get me started on their Kolsch - it's my new fav. Perfect joint to swing by after a day of skiing, hiking, or hanging out on the lake. Super laid-back vibes. The only bummer was having to order food at the bar. Maybe it was just that day, but there was only one bartender hustling, and some folks looked a bit annoyed waiting. I felt for her - she was doing her best! Despite the little wait, it's still a top spot. If you're into good brews and no-fuss bites, definitely check this place out.

K.M. M.

Yelp
I recommend this place ONLY if 1) you have a bunch of kids you don't care to teach restaurant manners to and let them run around screaming, 2) you're drunk and don't care about ambiance, 3) you enjoy inconsistent menu offerings, 4) beer is really the only thing you drink . To be fair, we haven't sat and eaten outside--maybe that's the key.

Tiffany P.

Yelp
i didn't get much food, but drinks were nice and cold and several selections. service was great and ambiance is low key party vibes. art decor on walls for sale, loved it! there's outdoor seating unfortunately it started pouring but didn't rain on my parade , we dance in the rain. i got a flight of drinks , my husband got a pretzel in the shape of a mustache so cute. lol we got pizza , taste ordinary i love pizza so can't go bad . My son got fries and they were tasty and crunchy. Chicken cesar salad was great balance of cheese, dressings and chicken . I recommend .

Kris B.

Yelp
Beer tasted good made me feel horrible though and have a multiple friends that are local that say the same thing after they go there. Would not recommend

Lorrie M.

Yelp
Good beers on tap, great atmosphere and a break from the cold, and super solid pretzel / sandwich selection makes this the perfect hang out whether you're getting lunch, grabbing a late afternoon snack, or having some delicious locally brewer beers after dinner. I really love their constellation ale? and their contradiction ale(s) as they provide a kick of unexpected flavor. They have a pretty extensive outdoor area in the back that has huge heaters, so I can see this being a great option for those who want that outdoor safety even in the winter time. The square bar means there's plenty of space for you to walk up and order, and the food comes out fast. Parking is a bit limited during the day, but is pretty open on weekends!

Dana R.

Yelp
Good enough to come back for (very fun) bingo night. Everyone working seemed nice, everyone drinking seemed happy and having a good time. Some nice space outdoors in the back. You don't need to love beer: they serve wine, kombucha, cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic drinks. Food is mainly pizza and sandwiches. We tried the fries (large serving, and tasty!) and we tried the pretzel (delicious, and adorable, but small).

Justin T.

Yelp
We had not been too impressed with our first few food stops in Lake Tahoe, until a road closure sent us to Incline Village and we came across Alibi Ale Works! Really loved the setting of this spot. Plenty of options for seating inside and outside, with everything outside from picnic tables to Adirondack chairs. The list of beers on tap was inviting, with everything from goses to IPAs. The signature item -- for us, at least, were the mustache pretzels! Alibi offered a salty pretzel with a beer cheese, and a sweet pretzel dusted with chai sugar and served with a salted caramel mascarpone cream. At last, we found the good stuff! The sweet pretzel was outstanding. The salted pretzel paired with the mascarpone cream as also amazing. Never previously had I paired a beer and sweet pretzels but this is the way of the future. Would definitely return and would definitely recommend for both beer and pretzels.

John M.

Yelp
We wanted to find a brewery while in Incline Village and we're glad we found Alibi! Here's why... - Huge beer selection, with options for many styles - We got two different flights and enjoyed all the beers we tasted - The Grilled Vegetable Flatbread was really tasty - It was a bit of a quiet weekend, so the place was pretty empty...but the vibe was really comfortable and fun. Bottom line: Great brewery, great food, great vibe...what else do you need?

Brittan W.

Yelp
I really enjoy Alibi-the ambiance is fun and enjoyable. The outdoor space is awesome in the summer and the beer is solid. Alibi does all styles of beer well so there is something for everyone and they have items available for non beer drinkers as well. Would highly recommend after a day at the lake!

Jacob P.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We asked if the kitchen was open at 1pm and the bartender said they were opening at 2 that day. At 2 we asked for a food menu and he then stated that their kitchen would not be opening due to a private event. This was the same bartender. We had stayed for an hour to wait and this was quite frustrating. The bartender then got aggressive with me and told me that I had misheard him (the group of 3 I was with all heard the same thing). Beer was okay. Service was frustrating and disappointing. Wouldn't recommend coming here

W Y.

Yelp
We supported Alibi throughout Covid, to include taking our friends who are visiting there as well. Unfortunately, we will not be supporting this business anymore. A group of us went to listen to the music on 8/25/23. I got dropped off ahead of everyone else to find a table for our group. I walked out to the back garden and did not realize I walked right past the woman collecting the fees to get in. As I walked back towards her to pay, she looked visibly upset and said "If you don't pay the fees, I'll kick you out"! I was in disbelief, and found that highly unprofessional! Needless, to say our group decided to leave and go elsewhere. I'm my opinion, a person with such a nasty attitude should not be around paying customers but rather, be in the kitchen away from paying customers, doing dishes!

Breana B.

Yelp
This was one of the few spots open in Incline Village for dinner. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. There are some tables out in the lawn for seating or Hightop long tables to sit at. I tried one of the kombucha drinks and it was very good. We decided to get the polish sausage, wings, and vegetable board. Everything was great You order first when you come in and receive a number and then they will bring your food to the table. You receive your drinks right at the bar yourself. I think there's a bar operating outside also when it's busier

Melissa H.

Yelp
Great day finally checking out the newest iteration of Alibi in IV. We've been frequenting the original location on the industrial side of town since it opened and were excited to see the old Hacienda restaurant revitalized and reimagined as a community hangout with live music and the great atmosphere we've come to love from Alibi. We had actually tried to visit this location on numerous prior occasions, but either the place was closed or there was a crazy long line out the door. Fortunately for us, we arrived around 3 p.m. on a Saturday and easily found spots outside and could order at the bar right away. The drinks arrived almost immediately, then the yummy fries came out. We quickly ran out of ketchup, but not to worry because the chicken wings dusted with sesame seeds and scallions came with a side of dressing that went great with the fries. Next up were the most incredible pickled veggies I've ever eaten complete with carrots, kalamata and castelvetrano olives, onion, cauliflower, sweet peppers, and even celery, which I typically hate and avoid, but this was a different animal altogether. The only downside were the ubiquitous bay leaves that had to be picked out of the cup or my teeth--oops. The crusty bread that accompanied them was a perfect addition and vehicle for shoving more veggies in my mouth. Finally, for dessert, was the mustache-shaped pretzel with cheese sauce and mustard. As far as pretzels go, it was tasty and I'd definitely share it again with a friend. (Note: I have been ruined for life by Boston waterfront's Harpoon Brewery and its yeasty pretzels with various dips, which set an impossibly high bar for brewery pretzels in my book.) I noticed from the QR-code downloadable menu that there will be live music at this location tonight and most every Sunday this summer, so get on over here early to get a seat and enjoy the shows!

Yelp
Stayed in Incline Village around the holidays and found this spot on yelp as the only nearby brewery. We went in on a Sunday night around 8pm and there was plenty of seating available. Great place for large groups and easy ordering system. The team was super friendly and gave recs as we were new to this establishment. Unfortunately, most of the beer we tasted missed the mark. I am a cider fan and since they only had one cider brew, I got a glass of it. The combination of fruits used were odd and made the cider taste more bitter than I usually enjoy. My friends got flights and tried their most popular beers, but none of them stood out and we couldn't even finish some. I'd come back to try the food, but will probably skip out on their beer - which is weird to say bc it's a brewery... too bad bc I really wanted to like this place!

Yelp
I LOVE ALIBI!!!! Everyone I go to Tahoe (a close besties hometown), we have to make a stop here. The brews are perfection and the atmosphere is well set for a brewery. Our close friends even had their pre-wedding day celebration with guests and their was plenty of space outside!

Yelp
North Lake area does not have many breweries, so I'm not surprised that Alibi gets such great reviews. However, my experience here wasn't that stellar, especially since we drove across the border from Tahoe City. I get it: it's Tahoe and everything's expensive. The Alibi Tap Room shows that a lot of money was invested in it. But for a place without table service, I find it a bit excessive to charge $17 for 6 chicken wings or $19 for a burger a la carte. Maybe it's just that Tahoe is becoming (or perhaps always was) a rich people's destination and rich people don't mind paying more. Me? I expect a bit more for my money. If the burger or wings were out of this world, I probably wouldn't have such an issue with the prices, but they were both nothing to write home about. Had worse, had better. As for the beer, it was good. Of course that we have better beer down here in Sac Valley, but for the mountain area (excluding Reno), it's probably as good as it gets. The beer prices were actually more reasonable than their food and they also do flights of 4 for $13. I'd rate Alibi 4 stars if they were not selling 4 packs of their IPA that are almost 4 months old. I did not pay attention to the can dates, assuming the brewery wants to sell only fresh beer, so I was pretty bummed down when I noticed that the 4 pack I bought on 5/29/2022 had a canned on date of 2/7/2022. As a brewery, you should and have to do better. Perhaps most tourists don't care, but there are those of us that do. After all, this is not BevMo or some generic liquor store that doesn't give a damn about how old the beer is. When buying cans directly from the brewery, I should not worry about the dates. This is a big fail in my book and the reason why I might not go back to Alibi Ale Works very soon. P.S. Adding can pictures as per response from Kevin D (Business owner)

Yelp
Great servers, good beer, and mustache pretzel freshly done. My husband loves blondes. His favorite beer of the day, of three breweries we visited, was here, "Altbier" German Ale. Definitely a must go while in the town of Truckee, short walk from everything.

Yelp
We got the fries, pretzel, and carrot cake for food. It was good bar food! We got a beer, sour, and the seltzer for drinks and they were fine. Even though we were only one of three groups in the bar the bartender was pretty standoffish and seemed annoyed we were there at all. Also, the price of the food is a little high for basic bar food, around $20-$30. The parking lot has lots of spots and they have both indoor and outdoor seating.
