Was denied a glass of water at alibi after buying multiple rounds of drinks. Bartender insisted I must buy a water. He started screaming at me. Will never go back

Worst experience ever. We bought two tickets for entrance. But they make us wait for a long time to get in. And they were letting people get in before us who had friends inside such as employees or dj’s friends. And door man wasn’t helpful at all. My bf and I were so excited to get this experience but they turned out to nightmare! We decided not to attend this event and we left. I am sorry Never recommend this place.

One of the coolest bars in Austin. We need more places dedicated to showcasing house music! Dope lights and sound system. Great Dj with great mixes. Very cool ambience with laser lights, very chic.

Worst Saturday night experience ever. We purchased a ticket days ago to attend to show. But they made us waiting long time in line and they let other people to enter club without line because they knew them or they are friends. That is not fair. Staff is so rude and not helpful at all. I do not recommend this place at all.

Tucked away in Austin's bustling heart, Alibi Social Bar isn't your average watering hole. Descend the stairs and prepare to be transported into a subterranean haven of thumping house music, electrifying lasers, and an undeniably cool vibe. Here's my take on this unique new spot: Atmosphere: Alibi isn't just a bar, it's an experience. The basement location exudes an intimate coolness, with exposed brick walls and sleek furnishings setting the stage for a night to remember. The lasers aren't just an afterthought; they dance across the room in perfect sync with the house beats, creating an immersive, almost psychedelic atmosphere. Music: House music reigns supreme at Alibi. The DJs keep the energy high with pulsating beats and infectious rhythms, ensuring your feet won't stay still for long. Whether you're a seasoned house head or just looking for a night of energetic tunes, Alibi's got you covered. Drinks: The bar boasts a well-curated selection of craft cocktails, beers, and spirits. Their mixologists concoct innovative creations that are both delicious and visually stunning. Plus, the prices are fair, making it easy to keep the drinks flowing without breaking the bank. Crowd: Alibi attracts a diverse crowd of young professionals and music lovers with a shared appreciation for good vibes and killer beats. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Things to Know: Dress code is upscale casual, so ditch the ripped jeans and opt for something stylish and comfortable. Reservations are recommended, especially for weekends, as the bar can get packed. Be prepared for loud music and flashing lights – if you're looking for a chill, quiet evening, this might not be your spot. Overall: Alibi Social Bar is a breath of fresh air in Austin's nightlife scene. If you're looking for a unique and electrifying experience with top-notch music, delicious drinks, and a cool ambience, look no further. Just remember, this hidden gem isn't for the faint of heart – bring your dancing shoes and prepare to be dazzled! Rating: 4.9 out of 5 stars P.S. Don't forget to check out their upcoming events calendar for special DJ sets and themed nights!

Don’t go here trash , dirty, smelly, bad music, high covers. I had a pair of balenciaga sunglasses stolen here. When I brought it up to the staff they said «  yeah they’re gone sorry… There is nothing sophisticated about this place

Yelp
Alibi exudes a secretive, moody and sexy vibe that I can envision will be an up-and-coming spot. Alibi serves incredible drinks and serves a happy hour, which you can bet I took advantage of. I opted for my newest favorite drink, an Espresso Martini and loved the extra touch of the live demo of a roasted marshmallow to top my drink off. They also offer open seating when it's not busy.

Yelp
My new favorite bar in Austin! Came in on a Friday and the DJ had us dancing all night long. Quick service at the bar or you can also get bottle service. As far as decor I was really mesmerized by the lights surrounding the bar and entrance to the restroom. Really unique. I'll be back soon

Yelp
Happened to be in the area last week after celebrating a friends birthday. We saw that this place was open and decided to stop in. This location has previously been a few other spots that I've been to so I was excited to check out what this new concept was and I was pleasantly surprised. It's very dark and moody, bartenders were friendly, the DJ was great and I loved the decor. Drinks were average price for downtown and they were generously poured. I will definitely have to come back on a weekend, but for just recently opening, I enjoyed this place and didn't have any issues.

Yelp
1st time and last time here - Cool setting, definitely had a little of the old school Barcelona vibe having to go downstairs to get into the club. Paid $10 cover to get in, which is fine if the music and drinks are good. Went to the bar and ordered two Moscow mules, male bartender made them and told me they were $20 each. My jaw was on the floor. They were so small, and it's not like I got a double or something. Took the drinks back to my girlfriend and she couldn't believe it either. Never in my life have I seen a little drink be so expensive. Bartender saw my confused AF expression and told me it was $40 because they included tip. Left shortly after that, spent $60 in 10 minutes (2 cover / 2 drinks) and dipped. Music was generic house, not good enough to overcome the robbery that just happened to me. Maybe it's just my opinion, but if I pay cover to get into a club, be a little more generous with drinks ya? Paid cover many times over before in my life and gotten drinks twice the size for half the price, because, you know, i paid cover to get in.

Yelp
I have so much fun at alibi, but found myself very disappointed last night. My friend and I, who were purchasing drinks all night, were denied glasses of water? What? That's dangerous and also probably illegal. They forced me to buy a bottle of water- at a high end bar? Cheesy. Not only were we denied the water, the bartenders were not just rude but MEAN. They made it very clear they would not give us water and had major attitudes. I usually have fun at alibi but am disappointed and will most likely not return.

Yelp
I came for an event and was kicked out for my "dress code" and for being a "f@ggot". I did not appreciate the homophobia from the door man (Latino w glasses), to which he smashed my head onto the concrete wall because I questioned his reasoning for not allowing me inside . No joke actually he hit my head against the concrete wall... I would never recommend this place for people that are not trying to be physically assaulted before you enter...
