Alienated Majesty Books

This place is an indie bookstore that will make an average person question their reading comprehension abilities. It has books and zines I’d never imagine be written about topics I’ve never considered may have a book about it. It’s pretty cool. Would recommend, vibes immaculate. You’ll find books here that you’ll probably find no where else in the entire state of Texas. It seems to be a safe space for the weirdos, freaks and geeks of society. A place where those who don’t conform to societal norms can find a book about their niche way of non-conforming. They host cool events too.

Great independent bookstore focusing on lesser sold titles. It has fun displays and events, nice art to compliment the attractive book covers, and several cozy places to sit. Fortunately for UT students this place is in walking distance of the campus. It also has several restaurants and bars nearby. It shares a small parking lot with a couple other businesses.

Love this space, the owner (I assume?) is super helpful and kind. This is my favorite book store I’ve visited! The artwork and selection is highly curated and cared for, and it shows.

Great bookstore if you're looking for something to expand your present consciousness and conscientiousness in this diverse world. 10/10 for local live music too.

Truly a terrible name for a bookstore, despite the reference. But they have a very strong selection of fiction, especially for a relatively small store. I wish them luck as they navigate their initial period of existence.

This place rules. Great selection, helpful staff, solid curation / staff reccommendations if you're struggling to find your next read. 5/5 can't reccommend enough!

Great new addition to the Austin book scene! Great, thoughtful curation. Fantastic selection of poetry, in particular, and books in translation. And on top of that it's a special place with a great staff and a cozy sofa for hanging out.

Amazing selection and the owners and staff clearly put a lot of thought into the type of works they value promoting and sharing with the community. Very helpful and attentive staff.

Coolest bookstore in town. Love this place and they host live music in the evenings sometimes. This is just the kind of place we need in that special old part of town... the parking lot brought back good memories of the old Vulcan Video, Oat Willie's, Conan's pizza.... It was a fun adventure and you'll definitely find some very interesting books.
