"This year-round Italian restaurant and specialty grocer is a go-to for all your red sauce needs. Located in the former Tacombi space, this bright corner spot is the ideal stop to grab a cappuccino and charcuterie platter to take to the beach. Alternatively, book a table to bite into Neapolitan-style pizzas (the owners of Williamsburg’s L'industrie helped create the pizza menu), lasagna, extensive pasta options, plus a full cocktail list that will keep you snacking on crispy artichokes alongside Negronis and espresso martinis." - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

The food here is absolutely fantastic—this is hands-down one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. We’ve been loyal fans of Alimentary Beach since it first opened and make it a point to visit every time we’re in Montauk. The ingredients are top-notch, the service is warm and welcoming, and the wine list is excellent. Unlike many spots in this part of Long Island, they don’t overcharge, which is refreshing. Do yourself a favor and order the whipped ricotta—it’s out of this world. The meatballs are also a standout, and the Caesar salad is a winner, with a light, non-creamy dressing that’s just right. The shrimp with polenta is hearty and delicious, making it a perfect appetizer to start your meal. Honestly, I’d drive all the way from the city anytime just to enjoy a meal here and soak in the great vibes. Highly recommended!

I was out at The End for a night and stopped in for dinner. This is such a cute restaurant right in the heart of Montauk proper. There are rounded windows all the way around the restaurant giving it a very spacious feel. The food was really good; the pasta, the polenta and pizza were all excellent in their own right. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant.

Google
SO happy we decided to eat here. Staff is very friendly- everything we ate was awesome. I recommend the calamari, whipped ricotta, and the bolognese. Even the harvest salad was amazing- and huge. Espresso martinis are made PERFECTLY.

Google
We are always looking for great places to eat pizza and this one will go on our list. First, the fried calamari was delicious, it was fresco, the tomato sauce was perfect. Then the pizzas: I ask for a burrata pizza, I enjoy every bite. My kid ask for the new Yorker and my husband asked for the pepperoni one. We all enjoyed the food, the places is great. I like their wall decoration with some great pictures and paintings. Also, if you want to buy pasta or ingredientes to prepare your own Italian food at home you can buy at their little store. As a fun fact, their bartender is very alike to Eva Mendez. If you visiting Montauk that is a great place to eat.

Google
We found our favorite restaurant in Montauk! What a great dinner we had at Alimentari Beach. Tartufo Pizza was delicious!! Bucatini shrimp Fra Diavlo was cooked perfect and flavorful. Homemade Tiramisu and cappuccino were great way to end the meal. I haven’t had great Italian meal like this since I came back from Italy. Place is nice and casual. Can’t wait to go back to try other items on the menu.

Google
6 of us enjoyed dinner last night. Lasagna is excellent as was the fried artichoke and calamari. Service was top notch and the atmosphere is extremely pleasant with all the windows. Finally, unlike almost everything else in the East End, prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Alimentari.

Google
Had long island ice tea, crispy artichoke and penne bolognese. Everything was tasty. Spacious dining area with a lot of sunlight through big windows and friendly service.

Google
We had a group of 9 people and we were asked to do family style when booking a table. It was delicious, so much food and service was very quick! We couldn’t get over the quality of food, it was amazing! Highly recommend 😊

Yelp
We visited for a late-ish lunch on a random weekday afternoon during off season. The restaurant was mostly empty when we went in, but had quite a few parties dining by the time we left. The decor was very cute, I felt, with a lot of attention to detail. The seating layout felt a little awkward but I presume that is largely due to the unusual shape and location of the actual building. I had the shrimp fra diavolo while my friend had the burata pizza. The fra diavolo used bucatini, which seemed good in idea but was a little unwieldy in practice. There was the tiniest bit of heat at the very end of the sauce. The shrimps were cooked tenderly, though I wish there was a little more shrimp flavor in the dish. The burata pizza was nicely charred. Overall, Alimentary Beach was a pleasant spot to dine in.

Yelp
Alimentari Beach's red door and signage made me choose them for lunch while my car was being charged nearby. Open and bright interior with great displays of Italian groceries; and, choice of a cozy booth or table for dining in. Wonderful was the service. As for the food on this visit, cold in the middle simply reheated-like "meatballs"; overcooked "tagliatelle"; but if in area next, I will come back in for their outstanding beautiful crispy and light batter "CALAMARI"! Cheers!

Yelp
Such a cool spot with a great vibe! Despite being busy, the wait wasn't too long, and the service was friendly. The interior is awesome, with windows everywhere and shelves full of olive oils, sauces, and more. The crispy artichokes were super lemony and flavorful, but the risotto balls, while herbaceous, were missing something--wish they came with more sauce. The spicy vodka pasta was perfectly spiced. Ended up buying some merch, too. Definitely worth a visit!

John R.

Yelp
I was surprised to see the bad reviews here. Service was super. The place looks a lot better than the Mexican taco joint that used to be here. The Burrata Pizza - Caramelized organic tomato sauce, Lioni burrata, fresh cracked ground pepper, I thought was pretty amazing. Overall, I would go back. Great location, great food, and great service.

Bobby D.

Yelp
The ricotta with fig is to die for AMAZING Svc was great Wife loved her cosmo and the clam pizza was legit!! Thx for a great evening can't say enough about this place

Nicole P.

Yelp
I almost didn't want to leave a bad review because the friendly waitress gifted me my glass of wine due to long wait times, but I was led astray by a carbonara review and I don't want that to be you. Let's start with the good: the pasta was fresh and the egg yolk on top was cool. Now the bad: the overall taste was very bland no- strong taste of parmesan in the sauce, the guanciale had zero crisp on it- I've never seen anything like it, and there were parsley stems mixed in with the chopped parsley. Maybe it was a bad night but I would definitely get something else instead of the carbonara.

Juliana M.

Yelp
Let's start off with the ambiance. It has a great vibe to it, nice set up. The location is also perfect and holds a lot of potential for success. The staff, was incredible! Our waiter was a very attentive gentleman with a great personality to match! The reason why I'm even giving this place any stars is because of how kind they were, fast to seat us, and the vibes of the place. The food however..... was quite terrible to say the least. For starters, the pasta was barley al dente, with little to no flavor. If we didn't get the ONE meatball as an addition, it just would've been lackluster. Thankfully, the meatball added some type of flavor but overall very upsetting. It had the perfect amount of sauce yet no flavor? Didn't make sense. And it stated it was spicy, when there was literally no spice at all. Very upsetting especially for a place that centers itself around Italian cuisine. The pizza was the worst pizza I ever had in my life. No joke. I'd rather dominoes. I love thin crust pizza, but there was no crunch to the crust... it was chewy, doughy, undercooked yet the top was charred? Not sure if the pizza is broiled somehow in this place but it was terrible. I go to Montauk from NYC for some parts of the summer, and also cook myself. My palette is a lot more advanced than what they're serving here and to say I trusted pizza anywhere but NYC it's really my fault at that point but a thin crust pizza with no crunch is just odd! Lastly, I have no pictures of this but we also ordered calamari. It was good actually better than anything else we had, the only thing I didn't like was the aftertaste of oil in your mouth, it's definitely old oil or oil they use for multiple things at once and just don't change it throughout the day. Overall, I was very upset. I paid a hefty price for underwhelming food. I never care what I spend but what I spend it ON, and I simply wouldn't do it again here. I give them props for trying though and for having an amazing staff!

Sharon S.

Yelp
Eat in or take out... both great. What I love: the cauliflower crust pizza. Yes, it's thin and crispy. Yes. Really crispy. And here I thought I was over cauliflower. So good. So happy I tried it. Fav for us! If doing take out, you need to call for it. Ask for it. It's not on the menu. I get the veggie one without cheese and add a salad. The pizza is personal size. I had half for dinner with a salad and half for lunch the next day. Heated up well and stayed crispy, so win for lunch too So good. It's really pricey and good. My family likes everything else on the menu. Enjoy!

Tunaidi A.

Yelp
Alimentari Beach is located in a good location. The venue and seats are nice. The wait staff are nice. However, there are many families that come, yet this is one of the few restaurants that do not offer high chairs. The food is very average at best -- and that's being nice. Overall, there are many other places that are worth going to instead.

Liz L.

Yelp
One of the BEST restaurants in Montauk. Little Italy vibe...indoor and outdoor seating. Service is good...always see the same people working. The pastas and pizzas are out of this world. Everything is fresh and delicious. Just go here! Trust me!

Christine S.

Yelp
The pizza here is very good! Wow! I was actually suprised how good it was. We got the pizza with burrata on top and it was very delicious. My only gripe is that the burrata was cold on top of the hot pizza. Other than that, it was great. Service was sweet during midday lunch.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Our 1st night in Montauk and we had to get pizza, so delicious!! We so enjoyed the meatballs & the shrimp w polenta... staff was great!! And we loved the vibe the open space of the restaurant felt very inviting!

Mary M.

Yelp
We ordered all appetizers! The meatballs, whipped feta with bruschetta and crispy artichokes. Turned out to be excellent recommendations from our server. Meatballs were light and very tasty. Whipped feta was unique and different. Crispy artichokes were good but deep fried. Not a negative but a little oily. Thought I was in the mood for pasta but enjoyed the not so heavy alternative.

Lori S.

Yelp
We stopped in at Alimentari Beach for a pizza before heading back to our hotel. It was about 6:45, and not busy, so we were seated quickly and attended to nicely. We had hoped that we'd be able to get ground beef on our pizza since we don't eat pork. Unfortunately, the ground meat somes to them already prepared as a pork combo, but they were willing to add chicken to the veggie pizza. It was very nice of them, but the pizza seemed to have too much red sauce for a veggie pizza, and I wasn't crazy about the shaved brussel sprouts, I found them too strong in flavor. We also ordered the Tartufo pizza with Roasted mushrooms and greens. It was very good. The crust was thin, well-cooked and tasty. We also ordered the Alimentari Spritz (watery, without flavor) and an old-fashioned (so-so, not good enough to order a second). I will say that for traveling on the cusp of the summer season, this was a solid choice, but not necessarily our favorite.

Jeanette S.

Yelp
Pizza was good , meatballs not like home, so over rated. Waiter was good , waitress who was helping terrible, bringing out our meatball appetizer after main course arrived she handed over to us and put it on the pizza plate . They need to get it together for these prices.

Reggie B.

Yelp
We got the whipped ricotta and calamari for starters. Both delicious. I would go back just for that whipped ricotta. I had the AB Italian sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Friendly staff. I love the big windows that look out onto the street.

Kim S.

Yelp
Excelente service and wine. We had the clam pizza, pepperoni pizza and the hearty and delish lasagne. The calamari melted in your mouth!! Unreal and so good.

Lauren B.

Yelp
We walked in and asked if they were open, to which they responded, "We don't serve Chinese." The rest of the staff responded by laughing at their racist comment. My first review was "flagged" because I didn't describe my firsthand experience - or maybe they just didn't want people to know they are RACIST. Here is our FIRSTHAND experience of this restaurant being racist. I hope this fits your guidelines now.

Mirela R.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious! It was a long wait on a Saturday night but was worth it

Armando E.

Yelp
Wow is all i could say. Food is amazing here at Alimentari Beach. Its priced right for great quality food. The decor of the place is so cute and sits alot of people. The service is on the money. Best service in montauk especially the waitress Natalie. She serves you with a beautiful smile and never messes up my order. She suggested the pizza and it was like grimaldis pizza, if your from brooklyn you know what im talking about. The lasagna was also a big hit. I will definietly be back soon and tell my friends and family. Sorry no pics. Good looked and tasted to good. Next time i promise.

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Excellent. Penne bolognese Taste homemade. Capresse salad very fresh and lightly dressed.

Lisa L.

Yelp
This was such an overrated restaurant! The food was disgusting and there was a piece of PLASTIC in my food!!. I bit into it and almost chocked!! The service was HORRIBLE! They made us wait an hour for our simple order of pizza and a small pasta dish. We were already seated with a glass of wine, placed our order at 8 and by 9:30, we still didn't have ANY food!! Meanwhile, two couples arrived 30 minutes AFTER us, were seated next to us and got their food immediately and even finished their meal while WE still waited. Summary: we waited almost 2 hours for a meal. Service was terrible. At no point did the waitress come get and say hey, so sorry, thanks for your patience, your food will be out soon. I do NOT recommend this place at all! Avoid. Go anywhere else!

Vanessa A.

Yelp
No wait for a table at 5:30 on a Saturday. We sat outside. The outside seating is weird though because part of your party is expected to sit on a bench that's attached to the building. You wind up being higher than everyone else in your party. Service was seriously lacking which made for a rather unpleasant dining experience. We got our two spritzs but a glass of wine was forgotten. Took a good 5-10 minutes to finally get our waitress. She seemed to be covering tables inside and out. They really screwed up and brought our appetizers with our main entrees. There was barely enough room on the table for everything. The whipped ricotta comes in a bowl with pieces of bread. You don't taste much of the ricotta but either was it was very good. The bread is fantastic!!! I think this is one reason my mom ordered the Italian sandwich again (not her first time here). The calamari was okay. I'm not a fan of the sauce; it's kind of bland. The sauce on the shrimp fra diavolo tasted the same just with some heat to it. Can't say I was crazy about the dish. I also barely ate it since I just had appetizers. While I didn't try the pizza my dad got I'm glad it didn't turn out like the guy's sitting next to us. The crust on one of his pieces was completely burnt, pure black charcoal. From other reviews this seems to be an issue.

Abby L.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. One of the best restaurants I ever experienced. Gianni the owner is so kind and so amazing. Next level food and such a good atmosphere. Really, really recommend

Hannah H.

Yelp
Went twice... time number 1 was great, great service, great food, had a great time sitting outside time number 2 (3 days later) was ok, service was not great and waited a while just to get a bottle of water, food took forever (even for having the same amount of people as before), food was pretty much the same. Overall good food and ambiance but mediocre service

Cambria G.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in Montauk! Amazing service, food, location, and atmosphere! We booked a celebration of life luncheon here fairly last minute and they were nice enough to accommodate us. Our family and friends raved about the food... whipped ricotta, calamari, Caesar salad, penne bolognese, Italian sandwiches, and clam pizza... everything was delicious!!!! Can't say enough good things. We always love coming here but the entire staff made our event extra special for us and we'll never forget it

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Fresh delicious food! I enjoyed the harvest salad fully of veggie goodness as well as the roasted parmesan mushrooms. I also appreciated the causal, but very night atmosphere. Others loved their Italian Sandwiches. I suspect everything they serve would be excellent.

Rita G.

Yelp
Descent place to eat in montauk. Food descent ,service is good too and the outdoor sitting is pretty nice

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Very lovely place but I wasn't really impressed with the food. I ordered spaghetti pomodoro which was just alright, I've made my own better at home. The wine was decent and the bread was okay. Nice waitstaff, but food was also overpriced, typical of the area.

Roberta F.

Yelp
OMG! So good. My old fashion was so delicious. I only had an appetizer but it was a good one. Whipped ricotta with a fig something and garlic confit. And lots of doughy bread strips. Totally go. You will not be disappointed. Friendly, open, inviting. And right in town.

Caitlin D.

Yelp
Excellent! We came here for dinner on what was apparently their second night of having dinner service and it was great! We ordered the ricotta with focaccia for our appetizer which was amazing and then for dinner I ordered the bolognese while my boyfriend ordered the roasted chicken. Both dishes were spot on! I was shocked by how juicy and flavorful the roasted chicken was! Another big factor for me was that it felt like one in only a very small handful of restaurants we found in downtown Montauk that was both moderately priced and also very cute.

Brian D.

Yelp
Quality food. Taste great. Had the Vodka pasta. Would be nice with some bread to mop. Family shared a pizza. Both were delicious. Actually they loved the pizza. Desert was zepplies with cannoli cream. Popcorn size. Very tasty. Chill relax type of place. Cafe style. We enjoyed it. Staff was great.

Sam S.

Yelp
This place is totally under rated ,great Italian food, amazing pizza, and they have a ricotta dip with the bread which is out of this world, sit outside order pizza, have a glass of rosé and watch the crowds go by, highly recommend

Amol K.

Yelp
Super cool joint in the core of Montauk. Ordered an almond milk Cortado and liked it better than the one I had the day before at the left hand coffee shop down the street. Also ordered two little Italian pastries which were delicious and perfect for an afternoon coffee snack. This place does pizzas, has a bar and espressos. That's like 3 of the best things in the world. Would come back.

Caroline D.

Yelp
Alimentari is an excellent spot by the beach to grab a sandwich, pizza, and a curated selection of market goods. They're open late, which makes it convenient after a long day of activities. I love their burrata pie - it was delicious. Their crust is the best part - it's light & crispy and perfectly charred. Will deff be back to try their brunch pizza :)

Shilpa M.

Yelp
Downtown Montauk, walking distance to many other things. Funky building. Cozy, neighborhood spot. Many families, couples, or groups. Parking outside. Most entrees $20's & large pastas.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
went last night had a veggie pizza and whipped ricotta with fig glaze with a friend. Food was to die for! so great! I will be back and will be eating here again.

Katherine M.

Yelp
We went to montauk during off season, and this was one of the few places open, and im so happy it was. The food was really good and fresh, balanced flavors. The service was a really good as well. The restaurant itself is beautiful, quaint and inviting.

Mich E.

Yelp
Never brought water, had to ask for it. When we ordered a second round of drinks, we waited over 25 minutes. Food is not good. We had 2 pizzas and several apps, 2 pastas. Pizza was good but expensive for such a small pie. pasta sauce on spaghetti (pomodoro) and lasagna was absolutely horrible. Tasteless! The meatballs were burnt. Also had zero flavor besides the burntness. Better ofd going to Pizza Village up the street! Been going there 8 years and it's the best!

Alessandro T.

Yelp
Don't come here hungry has to be the smallest amount of pasta I've ever been served in my 60 years of living and for pasta that looks like they made it the mircowave . Pretty steep prices on top of that much better options trust me

Amandaa M.

Yelp
This place is gahdamn amazing. And one of the owners Gary is the absolute best. I could close my eyes and point to things on the menu to order and I'm confident it would all be 10/10. Montauk needs more great dining options like this. Get the spritz. And the espresso martini. Just get it all.

Florence D.

Yelp
The pizza is great. Highly recommend the whipped ricotta app. with the warm fresh made bread, amazing. Nonna Marie's lasagna delicious. we sat inside but outside is also fun.

Dan T.

Yelp
Absolutely best pizza from East Hampton to Montauk - No question. My wife and I came the day after Thanksgiving and enjoyed the whipped ricotta appetizer and a pepperoni pizza along with some great wine and bourbon. We'll absolutely be back.

Adam B.

Yelp
'Audacity' is the first thing to come to mind when opening our to-go order. Instead of making a new pizza, you send me and my kids home with this crap? We live in Montauk year-round but unfortunately we won't be dining here ever again. This place has noticeably gone down hill since their head chef left for greener pastures.

Tamara H.

Yelp
Great pizza and pasta in the heart of the town. Was wonderful to sit outside and have a Spritz and enjoy the evening.

John D.

Yelp
Wow! Hidden secret! Local Vibe and Food I haven't tasted since my Italian Grandmother fed us out of her basement kitchen. Pizza-crispy (charred bottom), airy, chewy crust. High quality cheese w/ fresh basil leaf Meatball-you can almost taste all the ingredients pork and beef with a aged Parmesan Crispy Artichokes-in a tasty sauce they call Romesco Arancini-fancy word for the most delicious herb risotto rolled around goooey creamy lioni mozzarella and garlic aioli. Calamari lightly breaded and fried w/ basil aioli Wonderful hot freshly made cannoli's lightly drizzled with local honey served with a perfectly made cappuccino. The Partner Gianni was so kind and welcoming and is in love with Montauk....a genuine person, extremely knowledgeable and warm Very excited about the sit down service! Welcomed addition. Already planning on ordering takeout. Oh, old Montauk prices were a surprise. Will be back

Stan S.

Yelp
Had the AB Italian per the waiter's recommendation and shared that and a Harvest Salad with my wife. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. Comfortable, casual place that's open and bright inside with a huge array of windows looking out to the public square. Outside seating is available. Good stuff!

De W.

Yelp
Great food, great pizza and friendly service- that's a lot to ask for in Montauk! We had their fried calamari-which was fresh- not the frozen commercial kind- and fried perfectly. Pepperoni pizza was spicy and intense. And the cannolis for dessert were freshly made too.
