Atmosphere- 3 stars clean but small inside just a few tables. Counter service. Service- 5 stars- this is counter service however the lady that took our order was awesome!! She was very friendly and helpful. She brought us our food and checked on us several times. Our drinks were always refilled without asking. Sorry I didn’t get her name. She had short hair and glasses. Great worker!!! Food- 5 stars- Everything was made to order and was really fresh and hot! I got the chicken shawarma with fries. So good!!! We also got the chicken tender kabobs with rice and it was perfectly grilled and delicious ! Almost forgot for an appetizer we got the hummus and pita bread. The pita bread was cut into small triangles and they were soft and warm. The hummus was awesome!! Highly recommend this place if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine!!

Google
Really great food. The Greek salad was loaded with vegetables and the dressing was not too strong with a vinegar taste. The gyro bread was really delicious, great tzazike sauce with a great cucumber flavor. The chicken bob was my favorite. The grilled chicken with a light curry seasoning was cooked perfectly.

Google
Food was good and service was excellent. Have nothing bad to say about either one. Only complaint is that 24 bucks for one person and I didn’t get a drink - to eat on styrofoam? Eh. No. Can’t say that I’ll prob stop again or recommend for in person dining. Maybe if two people got take out and share the hummus platter it might be more reasonable? But for as good as everything else was a few improvements on little things could make it feel not so silly to be paying 20-30 bucks a person to eat here.

Google
Fantastic food! We ordered online and still had to wait 10 minutes when we arrived, but the wait was truly worth it. We had the chicken kebab Greek salad,, and the salad was super fresh. The chicken was fat and juicy. This is some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had anywhere.

Google
Passing through town and stopped in to pick up a meal for my family. Food was fantastic and I’ve been to many middle eastern restaurants to compare it to. Brought the meal back to Townewood Suites for a lovely dinner on their patio.

Google
Great, fresh food. LOVED the tabouleh especially. Check out the generous size of this veggie sampler!

Google
It's what I expected. Have swung by a lot of middle eastern places like this in MD, PA, DC. It's small and typical atmosphere inside. Food is really good though. Prices are good. I'll be back.

Google
The food was good, but a bit expensive. The gyro was amazing, but it should come with a side for what you're paying. Also, everything comes in Styrofoam containers which I really hate, even though we were dining in, it still came in a box. The drinks came in Styrofoam cups, too.

Yelp
Gosh. I really can't say enough good about this place. They staff and owner are so nice and polite. Everything on the menu is fantastic, the only thing I could even slightly pick at is the inside dining is dated and in need of a freshening up. We usually get takeout so that doesn't deter us a bit, the food is THAT good.

Yelp
Some of the best food and flavors in town! The service is always welcoming and friendly. The ambiance, is a great place to sit and eat after a long day of work. I would love to see them expand their menu just a little bit more. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place. The food actually has flavor compared to any of the Mexican food locations.

Yelp
On our route between Parkersburg and Snow Shoe is this amazing little gem of a restaurant, a place that makes you feel like you are eating delicious home cooked food in a friend's warm, cozy kitchen. There were six of us, about half not familiar with Mediterranean food, and all of us were exclaiming over the beauty and taste of our meals! YUM! (Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Greek Salads, Falafel Pita Sandwich, Vegetable Pita Sandwich, and Appetizer Plate, plus Baklava)

Nick G.

Yelp
This was honestly the best Mediterranean food me and my mother ever had, just such a great environment and even better food, What a hidden Gem of a Restaurant.

Shirley D.

Yelp
I love Mediterranean cuisine, so when I located Ali's close to our hotel, the decision where to go for dinner was a no brainer! I was not disappointed. Both my husband and I had gyros, lots of meat in a soft pita. The staff at Ali's were really accommodating. When I asked about getting a Greek side salad, they offered a half portion. As described in another review, the Greek salad, nicely seasoned, is all veggies, a little lettuce, and lots of crumbled feta cheese. The only downside, no Greek olives. The half portion was very generous, filling the 8" square container. If I get to Bridgeport again, I would definitely return to Ali's.

Yelp
Nice place. Pretty slow I walked and placed a small order to go. They say 20-25 minutes? First time here. Maybe they have a bunch of Togo orders? Seems like a long time fore 2 Gyros? Prices are higher then photos I've seen here on YELP! Took about 25 minutes, Kinda slow, they talk a lot in the kitchen. Foods delicious!!!

Sam C.

Yelp
Beef kabob sandwich was excellent, lots of meat and yummy sauce, large portion of fries. Baklava was the very best I've ever had, people there were lovely. Employees recommended the baklava because they knew what they had.

Jill M.

Yelp
Tasty meats and crisp veggies on a pillowy pita. Hot crinkle fries and refreshing lemonade were a perfect complement.

Glenna B.

Yelp
While in town we found this lovely place for Mediterranean food. Truly a best kept secret in town. The food was great and made fresh. The baklava was the best we have ever had. Lots of carry out orders happening too. Definitely going back again!

Yelp
We stopped by on a Thursday evening at around 6:15. We were the only customers dining in. They seemed to have a lot of people picking up TO GO food. The lady taking orders was friendly and helpful. I had a Greek salad with Gyro meat. It was beyond my expectations !! It was exactly what I was craving. Lots of vegetables. The meat was good. It was a good size portion that was priced right. Hubby had a gyro. He said it was one of the best he had ever had. Please give them a try. Their menu will not overwhelm you with choices. We can't wait to come back when we are in town again.

Yelp
Ali's is worth checking out if you're in the area. I went twice on separate nights when I was there on business and tried the chicken shawarma sandwich, the beef kabob sandwich, and the gyro. They were all very good. The chicken shawarma in particular was so tasty and all were assembled fresh while you wait. Since my visit was short, I didn't get to venture too far into the menu but I saw several folks around me who looked like regulars and they were happily enjoying their meals. I'd make sure to ask if there are specials as they didn't seem to have a board announcing them the second time I went (a Tuesday) but MANY people came in and ordered the combo special. Of note, they were pretty backed up the second time I went so it was a little slow but the proprietors were very nice, apologetic AND gave me a free large baklava. Stop by if you're in town!

Yelp
Have come back here every time I'm in town and it's always delicious. The falafel wrap has a good amount of sauce, and I love the inclusion of the pickled beets(?). I feel like this might have improved since the first time I had it, even. I always get the Greek salad now because the thing weighs like 3 pounds. Seriously, it's two full meals for me if I eat nothing else with it. (I get it to-go to eat at our hotel and add some boiled eggs from the continental breakfast lol.) There's very little lettuce in it, mostly cucumber, tomatoes of two kinds, bell peppers of more than one color, both black and green olives, just a medley of stuff. It also comes with triangles of pita. I always enjoy it.

Yelp
Best falafel I've ever eaten. Amazing flavors. Friendly owners. We'll worth the stop!

Yelp
I love the food. People are fantastic and friendly. Wish they would make the menu with more items. I want more.

Yelp
I thought the only place to get good Mediterranean food was Charleston, until I tried Ali's the food and service is outstanding! And generous portions, and Delicious Baklava, .. I would highly recommend!

Kim P.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Our appetizers and mains were fresh and tasted great. Friendly, welcoming staff that obviously take pride in their restaurant.

Ben S.

Yelp
Delicious food! I had the Greek salad with chicken and it hit the spot. My wife has celiac and they were able to accommodate her gluten-free restrictions, but they didn't seem to be super knowledgeable about those dietary restrictions so make sure to clarify what you need if that applies to you.

R J.

Yelp
This is the only Greek place in the area and they are a disgrace. Razor thin meat for the gyros taste more like Steak'ums then gyro meat. The gyro is nothing like want you might have had in NYC or elsewhere. Full of flavorless meat and sloppy old vegetables. The tazaki sauce is just sour cream and parsley. Tasteless crap! Pathetic! The pitas are smaller than you can buy in the grocery store. The Greek salad was full of browning cucumbers and tomatoes that tasted like they were in the fridge for a week. Apparently this place has never heard of garlic. There is no garlic in anything. Bland, disgusting crap. Don't bother. Drive to a big city. $10.99 Gyro, 9.99 Greek salad. Total waste!

Yelp
No offense, Clarksburg, but I need a break from red sauce and cheese. Ali's is the best place to take that break. We brought some of our family members, which included four children under the age of 10, to Ali's. I am a fan of Persian food, and was delighted to see the kebab, and also a big fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, and happy to see the variety of salads and spreads. They really do rice right here, too. Everybody had a great time, the kids shared and loved their chicken kebab and rice, there was plenty of Greek salad and tabbouleh to share, and my personal acid test, felafel, was very tasty. More pita was provided upon request, and they even provide sumac on request. What's not to love? This is tasty and healthy food, and I wish the proprietors the best of luck with this business. They are kind, warm people, who provide food as authentic as they are. I can hardly wait to go there on our next trip to Clarksburg.

Yelp
Awesome food awesome service at a great price.. the entire oil pad all agreed it was the best food in town..

Yelp
This place is Bussin. Everyone is so nice and the food is too legit to quit!!! The vibes are so chill. So many veggie options too.

Yelp
Great take out. Great ownership Quick services. Best salad in town- Greek filet. Best grape leaves I've ever had.

Yelp
Don't be fooled but this place being in a strip mall. It won't disappoint. The food is made with fresh ingredients, prepared when you order and seasoned perfectly. My favorite is the chicken gyro with extra yogurt sauce, and a side of basmati rice. The hummus is unmatched, and the falafel is the BEST I have ever had. So, so delicious. Even the Greek salad is amazing. And don't pass up the flaky and delicious baklava.

M K.

Yelp
great food authentic and good prices. friendly service. excellent for lunchtime and dinner too.

Hana C.

Yelp
Amazing food! Very friendly staff! Very reasonable prices! We got the chicken with rice and chicken with Greek salad, both were super fresh and tasty! The salad was better than almost high end expensive restaurants. The rice was buttery and delicious. Chicken juices and flavorful. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would come again!
google avatar

Yelp
Odd uniform sliced gyro meat with onesided grill marks, tasty, but not fresh. Look like item you buy in a chain grocery. Taziki sauce was bland, but made in house because there are sour cream containers sitting in a buggy between kitchen and bathroom, again odd. Order at counter, not friendly. Interior could do with some attention, to ceiling tiles, floors and still not sure what's up with the buggy. Not busy, so maybe they forgot they went shopping.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite restaurants as locals to eat here in Bridgeport! The second is always great and the food is delicious! Reasonably priced too!
google avatar

Yelp
Epic. Incredible. Tasty AF. I had the spicy shawarma and let me tell you, it made me have hope in humanity again. The Greek salad was like heaven. Overall, I highly recommend. Even if you are lane and don't like Mediterranean food. You will love this.

Miche B.

Yelp
Small menu, excellent Mediterranean food! We had the Hummus, falafel, gyro, chicken gyro and chicken kabobs. The chicken was very moist and well prepared! Very flavorful! Hummus is also a must have!! They nailed it! We met Ali when he came out of the kitchen, very nice. We will be back!

Yelp
Nice place but I wasn't a fan of the food. Would go back and maybe order something different

Yelp
We came in around 4pm on a Tuesday, after a dental appointment. My husband and I were starving and he ordered a lamb/beef gyro wrap and I ordered a Mediterranean salad with chicken. The service we received was absolutely amazing. Our server learned that we were first-time visitors and paid extra attention to us. I don't think they were nice only to us, though. She seemed to know every person walking in the door and to have a special connection with all the patrons. Before our food arrived, we were given a complimentary bowl of lentil soup, which was perfect on a cold and rainy day. After our meals arrived, we also received a complimentary piece of baklava-- per person! As for the food, the portion sizes are VERY generous and you can easily share one entree amongst 2 people. I prefer my salads to be more savory, and I found it to be sweeter than I would have liked. I'm not complaining though, because the chicken was absolutely tender while also having that charred grilled flavor. Delicious! My husband's gyro wrap was also amazing and I have never seen any wrap filled with so much meat! They also gave him some complimentary pasta! All in all, the food was delicious and generous and we felt so cared for during our time there. Looking forward to returning again!

Yelp
Food is AMAZING! Coming from Miami it says a lot! Staff is super friendly. Special request comes out right. The best hummus I have tasted! Falafel was incredible. The chicken kebab was out of this world. Homemade hot sauce was spot on! Ate at Ali's twice in my two days in Clarksburg! Definitely will be back next time I am coming through the area!!!

Katrina D.

Yelp
Previously I would have rated Ali's with a 4, but Friday they messed up 1/2 of my order by including bread (after I requested no bread due to allergy). The guy at the front desk benefited as I couldn't eat that steak kabob dish at all.

Ahmad M.

Yelp
I tried its chicken kebab which tasted very good. It was well marinated and cooked to a point of maximum taste.

Yelp
An easy place to get to especially if you' are Traveling with a trailer easy on easy off of 50 With HUGE parking area. food is outstanding, prepared with care. I got the chicken kebabs and the falafel and it was definitely some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. I am from Ohio but I travel this way When camping in West Virginia so I will definitely be back

Yelp
My family and I were stopping through town and decided to have dinner at Ali's. We love Mediterranean cuisine and have been to a number of Mediterranean restaurants in the U.S and abroad. We ordered hummus and falafel to start and had chicken shawarma sandwiches as our main course. The hummus was so flavorful that we finished it off with a spoon when we ran out of bread. If I lived in town or even close by, I would keep it stocked in my refrigerator at all times. I can be a bit of a falafel snob, and usually avoid ordering it because it tends to be bland or too dry. Ali's falafel was perfectly crisp on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. If you don't order the falafel, you are missing out. The baklava also deserves a mention. We almost didn't order any because we were so stuffed from the wonderful meal we had, but after eavesdropping on a customers conversation with the staff about it being homemade, I couldn't help but order a slice. We're so glad we did. Even if you're not hungry, take a slice home and eat it later. I've had a lot of baklava, and Ali's is top tier and made with love. Lastly, I have to give a shout out to the staff and Ali. They were incredibly hospitable, and Ali even took the time to come out and fill us in about the history of the restaurant. Excellent food, amazing staff. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Coming in late to Clarksburg with most restaurants closed I was dashing to make Ali's just before closing. He cranked up the grill again and made me a fantastic Mediterranean sampler. Juicy Gyro, fresh Tabouli, crunchy falafel and warm grape leafs. Simply delicious!
google avatar

Corey Jo P.

Yelp
So delicious! We got the hummus, gyro and schwarma and all were super fresh and absolutely delicious! Service was super fast as well. Can't wait to get it again

Yelp
Delicious Mediterranean Cuisine!!! Food is delicious and service is top notch. Super friendly staff and food is always on point. I recommend the hummus and falafel. The Gyro is a must have as well.
google avatar

Maribeth H.

Yelp
Little unassuming spot. We stopped here before flying out of clarksburg airport. One of our friends had never eaten Mediterranean and was unsure- but Ali's made a believer out of her. The falafel was awesome, not dry at all (as they can sometimes be) the grape leaves wrap things were my favorite (in the appetizer sampler) but everything was GREAT. Do yourselves a favor and stop by here.
google avatar

Luc B.

Yelp
Place doesn't look like much, featuring quaint decorations from different cultures on the walls, which I thought was pretty cool. It was clean when I went there, staff is very friendly. I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken, and wow - food was amazingly delicious. Chicken was seasoned to perfection. I do not live in the area but on my journeys driving around WV and into MD, I will go out of my way to eat here. Prices were worth the amount of food we received.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
It was a nice surprise to find good Mediterranean food while driving through WV. The hummus was delicious and the pita was warm and fresh. The house dressing was light and so good. Falafel and shawarma sandwiches were excellent. I messed up when ordering and the staff fixed it without a thought. Wonderful food and wonderful customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
google avatar

Brandon T.

Yelp
I give Ali's 5 Stars, and I rarely do that. The food was scrumptious and the service was amazing. We came close to closing but they happily accommodated us. I ordered the chicken dinner and the portions of chicken breast and rice were plentiful. My dining mate ordered the chicken gyro and thought it was delicious too.
google avatar

Craig M.

Yelp
Disappointed after reading all the positive reviews. Ordered the gyro and I counted 5 thin strips of dried out meat. The lettuce and onions seemed fresh, but the tzatziki was sparse and had an almost curdled consistency. At almost 11 bucks for just the sandwich, I had higher expectations. Decent flavor and taste, but definitely didnt feel like a meal. I'd give them another shot, wasn't bad enough to steer clear from in the future. Staff was friendly, but their delivery man was waiting inside without a mask.
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
In love with the atmosphere and the owner is personable and of great character. They offer the quality of food that is very difficult to find locally and their pecan dessert is THE BEST.
google avatar

Maggie O.

Yelp
Amazing hidden gem! Fresh and tasty food, we had greek salads with gyro and chicken kebob and they were both delicious! Salad had so many veggies (two types of tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, romaine lettuce, green and black olives, red onion), feta cheese and was served with pita bread. Quick service, definitely a good place for lunch or dinner!
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
It was good, but it just didn't seem to be as fresh as I prefer. The fried food was a bit over cooked and had a burnt taste to it and the lettuce was really wet. Would I go back? Yes, I would go back. The food was really cheap. You definitely get what you pay for.

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Honestly one of my favorite places to eat! Food is amazing and the owners of the place are top notch! Try the chicken kabob Greek salad.... You won't be disappointed.

Duncan M.

Yelp
Found this little spot while traveling I-79 to Florida. My wife had the filet mignon steak salad and I had the beef shawarma. Both were delicious with lots of meat. If we come back this way it'll definitely be on our itinerary.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch on our way home from the Carolinas, prompted by the reviews we read. (We always look for 5 stars And one $) and Ali's more than lives up to its reviews. I had the Greek salad with gyro meat and my husband had the beef shawarma wrap/sandwich. We started with the hummus appetizer. The hummus was a bit different than the usual- it was spiced with cumin. Delicious. It was served with both pita chips and warm pita bread. It was a generous portion, which we didn't finish so we could fully enjoy our lunch choices. The Greek salad was marvelous: a very large plate with a little bit of lettuce at the bottom heaped with cool freshly chopped tomatoes(seeded), cucumber, red onion and bell peppers. On top of all that was a a generous portion of Gyro meat. There was a bit of light dressing on the salad, but a cup of tsatziki (yogurt cucumber sauce) on the side made any more dressing unnecessary. We have lived in many places where we could take advantage of a number of Mediterranean restaurants. My husband said that the beef shawarma was the best he'd ever had: succulent and flavorful; not tough; not dry. And again a generous portion. We'll stop again the next time we are driving through. So should you.
