Really enjoyed our meal at Alison at St. Mark’s. The crispy calamari was great, and the onion soup was warm and comforting especially when it’s so cold outside! We also tried the pasta and the salmon burger — both were very good. For dessert, we had the Belgian waffle to my taste was a bit too sweet and New York cheesecake was great. Nice atmosphere and solid food overall. Would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed Alison — super cute spot with a cozy vibe and great food. The pasta was flavorful and satisfying. We also got dessert and it was so good — definitely worth saving room for. Vince was our server and he was great — friendly, attentive, and checked on us the perfect amount without hovering. He made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Would definitely come back and recommend!

Stopped into Alison after work and it was great for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Most people seemed to be going for wine, but I thought the beer list was good. I got the burger, finally a place serving a thick patty instead of a smash- solid 8/10. I also went for the Old Bay fries, they were great at first and super crispy, but by the end the seasoning was a little overpowering. Next time I’d go with regular fries and their dip. My server Vince was great, friendly/not pushy, even though I was a one top sticking with beer and a burger on a pretty busy night.

Came to this cute little eatery with some friends over the weekend. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, from the lighting, decor and thoughtfully curated playlist, the vibes were immaculate. Vincent our server was so attentive and knowledgeable about the wine selection and gave us a great recommendation, we loved the rioja. We also tried the cocktails and the hibiscus mule was lovely. I will definitely be coming back and introducing my other friends to this amazing spot!

This is a cute local East Village spot! They also have another location uptown. They have a large menu with some healthy options, I honestly was struggling to decide because so many things sounded good. They also have a lot of seafood options, like oysters, and I got the tuna crispy rice and grilled salmon with kale. The food was very high-quality. Ok, and my favorite part were the super cute holiday decorations!

I popped into this places for happy hour because it had two of my favorite things: wings and oysters! They were both good and fresh. I think I’ll certainly come back to try some of the other things.

The restaurant surprised us with very delicious food and a great selection of seafood dishes. Everything was tasty and quite inexpensive — for Manhattan, the prices are really low. A great deal is a dozen oysters with a bottle of French rosé wine for just $55 — you won’t find that price anywhere else in Manhattan! The service was excellent. We enjoyed everything.

Amazing. Just try it. I was walking around St Marks for a coffee meetup, but I was hungry and it was late brunch. I popped in, because it smelled amazing. I asked the waiter what to get, and I ordered the Croque Madam at his suggestion. Soooooo insanely good. Hearty and delicious. I could eat this any brunch. The spot is also beautiful and intimate. I could see this being a good date spot.

GET THIS STEAK SALAD Wow. Delicious. Ordered it rare and was perfectly cooked. Caramelized onions and blue cheese.

This is the new restaurant that opened where David's Café used to be. I decided after reviewing the menu to take a chance and try it for brunch today. The inside seating and ambiance is similar to David's - not too much has changed. Outside seating received an upgrade. The waitress asked if she could get me a beverage to start, I asked about decaf espresso but they didn't have it. I asked about their Chai latte and she said they were out of it. I then asked for a regular latte with almond milk, she apologize and said they only have oat milk. So no beverages for me today except water. I looked over menu and went with the French Omelette with brie, chives and toast for $16 which was a great deal. The food was flavorful and hearty but I ended up taking half in a to-go box. I will come back for a glass of wine and to try the salmon burger. There's a wide variety of options for Sunday brunch so if you're looking for a cute, cozy spot in the East Village, I recommend checking Alison out for brunch. Come solo, with a date or with friends. Looking forward to your reviews!

Sad that David's Cafe closed but Alison is a decent replacement. The menu is eclectic but every dish I've tried has been a delight. Particularly enjoyed the crispy sushi rice, salad, and their rigatoni a la vodka. Service is great, always friendly. The interior is cozy and there is ample outdoor seating to enjoy St Marks in the warmer months.

From the pictures this place was beautiful, but when I got there our waiter Vincent was horrible. The service was slow. They didn't have anything we wanted. We wanted fried octopus they don't have. We wanted hibiscus mule they don't have. I wanted cheesecake they don't have. I ordered a burger with no onions they give me onions. We paid $100 bill they don't have change like cmon on a Wednesday night, they don't have anything. Also the lights were flickering and Then I paid but I purposely left no tip, and the waiter Vincent comes outside follows me just to tell me I didn't leave a tip I said the service was bad, he then gets a attitude with me. Is not my fault you can't provide a good service! ‍

Chicken sandwich was phenomenal, fries were shockingly good as well. Street was closed down so we sat outside which was nice but inside looks very cool.

This restaurant lack all three things that people are looking for. 1. No Ambience at all 2. Slow service 3. Not tasty but expensive
