Good food and a good variety of options. The breakfast burrito is very tasty and loaded with eggs and fillings. The Tex Mex chilaquiles were very tasty. Our server was very friendly and attentive. This is a must try spot for breakfast. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!

Breakfast here is a good choice for Alki beach! The water view gives the spot a huge advantage. If it’s a warm day, opt for the front or side decks for people Watching. When we arrived, Denice gave us the best indoor seat in the house. She was kind and thoughtful and really added value to our meal experience. I enjoyed the salmon omelet with homemade potatoes. I also opted for gluten free toast. I was happy they had a gf option but its 50cents extra for one single toast. The food was good. My partner had the large breakfast. everything was average. The best part of the meal was the bacon Bloody Mary, very yummy and strong. Generous with the vodka, not so generous with the gluten free toast. Oh and great drip coffee! Stop by for a classic diner-esque meal, with a beachy twist. The menu is extensive and I’m sure it’ll have something you like. Cheers!

Google
Amazing location on the beach and boardwalk. It’s across from the Statue of Liberty. Got a cinnamon roll Appetizer. Would be delicious if it had the frosting on the side, ours was swimming in it. Good coffee. Great variety on menu. Pancakes are huge.

The quality of the food is good, however, the service could use some improvement. During my recent visit, I ordered two breakfast meals, but unfortunately, the second meal arrived with some broken side dishes. The restaurant staff seems to assign one waitress to receive the order while other servers serve the food, which can sometimes create confusion about the initial order. Despite the attentiveness of the assigned waitress, the order eventually got mixed up. Overall, I had a decent experience, but I hope the restaurant can work on improving their service.

Google
Ordered Mac and cheese with crab. ($20) Pics say it all. Absolutely no crab, and only about 6 Oz of Mac and cheese despite it being correct on the receipt. Disgraceful, Alki Cafe may as well stolen my wallet. Highly recommend you do not order from these people.

Google
Tasty food. Classic diner experience. Although, it was nearly impossible to get our server’s attention. Fortunately, there was an incredibly nice guy that stepped up (I think he was the manager). It was slightly annoying that they brought the side of bacon on a such a tiny plate that the bacon rested on the table. The waterfront view elevates the experience.

Google
Absolutely delicious. Went here at 11 am on a Sunday and although busy, we were sat within 10 minutes for a group of four. Eggs Benedict and chicken fried steak were delicious. Love how they do their breakfast potatoes.

Google
Not only was our online order extremely late, and it was not busy at all in there. We got there at the pickup time and they haven’t even started making it yet. They never apologized or anything. Then, I ordered the Chiliquiles which comes with eggs, 3 to be exact, and I gone none. No eggs. Just chips and extremely average beef. So dissatisfied!

Yelp
Overwhelming disappointed. It is evident that the leadership team does not communicate with the staff well. Immediately there was a disconnection with our welcoming host and another server that the outdoor area was unavailable in which she spoke over the host to explain to us instead of informing her privately. When leaving the facility, new guests that were walking in experienced a similar communication error with the same staff member. Our server Jessica was warm. She informed us not to look at the drink menu because they were out of stock of a lot of things. My cousin asked for another Dr. Pepper and her response was, "Was it flat?" Hence she stuck with water. Once our food arrived, she let us know that they were also out of the Lemon Pound Cake options because it had never existed. No accommodations were suggested or offered. Coming from landlocked Colorado, I was eager for the Salmon Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately it was underwhelming. However, thank you Jessica for the Asiago sauce recommendation instead of the Hollandaise. That definitely dressing it well. Im so glad we tried the cinnamon roll pancake last for somewhat of a good last impression. Its crispy top with fluffy bottoms was delicious. Unfortunately I went to the restroom before we headed for the airport and the bathroom's odor of urine and road trip gasoline station ruined it. The busser and host were on top of their game always reflecting a smile.

Yelp
I've been coming to Alki Beach Cafe most Tuesdays after I drop my kids off at pre-school for the entire school year. It's fine - more than anything it's an affordable breakfast place open in the neighborhood weekdays. This week I came yesterday and today and had what amounts to the same issue. Yesterday I ordered a Bacado Burger with grilled chicken breast. The check came and they charged me $5.99 to switch from burger to chicken when the menu has a "pick your protein" section that includes beef patty, impossible burger, and grilled or crispy chicken. No mention of an up charge. Today I ordered an extra side of gravy to go with my country breakfast. The menu shows $4.99 but the check came it was $6.99. And yes, the gravy was too salty. The waitstaff did what they could to make it right, and I appreciate that. But I'm going to probably start riding up the hill for breakfast next school year instead of coming here. Just be transparent if you need to raise prices that's fine, we all are dealing with that. But don't sneak in a substitution fee when it's offered as an equal option. Yea the chicken burger thing actually grinds me a little bit.

Yelp
Back again the next day for this place--HIT THE SPOT. Everything from the service to the food to the coffee is outstanding. I don't think we've encountered nicer waitstaff than here. Thank you Denice for the excellent service today and amazing food!

Yelp
The staff was great. The food was gross. I will not return. The vents/fans weren't working so they opened the front door. I feel extremely nauseous from the smoke inside the restaurant. My eyes are burning and my sinus' hurt just poorly managed place. Just terrible.

Yelp
Ugh this is hard. I used to go here a lot. The service was great, the food reasonably priced and tasty and the view of the Puget Sound is magnificent. This most recent time I didn't have the best experience. They changed their menu and I found it confusing. Also, of note, the non-alcoholic beverages weren't listed on the menu so the customer doesn't know how much the coffee, juice, and soda are. The food was still tasty, even though the man who took my order didn't include my choice of bread. He also didn't come back to my table. He didn't provide butter and it took about five minutes before someone stopped by to get it. Lastly, I was ready to leave about ten minutes before the server asked and I had to look visibly annoyed to get his attention. When I did get the check, I noticed the % at the bottom were based on the total with tax and not the subtotal. Not sure how I feel about that, since I thought the tip was of the subtotal not the total including tax. Being that the tips are shared amongst the staff, I thought it seemed like a ploy to get more from their customers. It sucks I had a bad experience, I was hoping for better. The food was good and view was great. So ugh, I guess.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. We got some pancakes, black bean burger and a chicken sandwich. The fries on the side were really good. Tots were ok - seemed quite oily. The siracha burger honestly isn't very spicy, but it's yummy.
google avatar

Christopher K.

Yelp
Waited over half an hour for a sandwich. Waiter never came back to refill ice tea or update me with status of order. I found out from another employee my order was never placed. I was out of time and left. I had nice lunches there before. Oh well.

Yelp
Everything's good!! And I DoorDash it totally worth it! Top five fish and chips places

Joe M.

Yelp
Brunch here was good, simple. But I hear it is closing or has closed. Seemed a bit cramped. But I remember the food and coffee being pretty good.

Yelp
Cute spot, decent food, but a bit overpriced for sure. I came by with a friend for Sunday brunch, and we were seated immediately despite not having a reservation (I'm not sure if they accept those anyway). The first thing I noticed was how stunning the views were! From the water to the mountains and the Seattle skyline, even on a cloudy day, were easily visible from the massive glass windows. I decided to start with an Irish coffee, which was very strong on the alcohol side! I had to truly pace myself throughout as I felt drunk in just a matter of sips. Despite looking like coffee, I definitely think it was more whiskey - so I recommend only getting this if you don't plan on driving. I then ordered the chicken and waffles, and let's just say I nearly devoured it all in one sitting despite the size! The syrup and spicy sauce complemented each other perfectly, and the saltiness from the fried chicken combined was a flavor explosion. The waffle itself wasn't soggy by any means, but it was definitely a lot softer than I expected. It still tasted pretty good and overall was a decent meal. I did find it a bit overpriced for the standard of the meal. I understand if the view was part of the ambiance, but this is an incredibly dive style casual spot, and I didn't really think the price was justified. Overall, I'd still go again, but maybe only every once in a while.

Yelp
Alki Beach cafe is a cute little cafe, with an ocean view of Alki Beach. It has a large menu with many options to choose from. We got the breakfast burrito and smoked salmon omelette, and both were very yummy. Our favorite part of the meal though were the hash browns! Often times, I find that my hash browns are never crisp enough. But these were perfectly crispy and delicious. We had a great time at this little cafe with great views during our meal!

Yelp
Super yummy breakfast. Our server was friendly and didn't mind we stayed at long time visiting. Clean and good foods!
google avatar

Lory W.

Yelp
Food is tasty, flavorful and more than plenty. I'll have enough for lunch as well. The service was very good even though they were short staffed. The ambience is lovely and enhanced by their location next to Alki Beach.

Yelp
First time here, pleasantly surprised! Pretty good food for a beach cafe, great presentation and terrific customer service. Delicious mimosas too I had the Huevos Rancheros and added the chorizo, and was terrific! Neat little place, not crowded and afterward walked across the street to the Statue of Liberty on the water. Great morning!

Julie M.

Yelp
Had a really bad experience here. First time going. There's a super noticeable lack of ventilation in the restaurant and the stagnant grease smell really overwhelms the senses. Seems unhealthy for the cooks/staff to be breathing in there all day. We went on a weekday and there were only a few other tables in there. I ordered an eggs and toast breakfast, reminded the waitress right when she brought my order that I was waiting on my toast, and she didn't bring the toast for over 20 minutes. When I asked about it for the second time after 20 minutes she said it got "dry and old" so they had to make it again, and it still didn't come out for another 5 minutes. By this point my entire breakfast was ice cold.

Yelp
The best thing about this cafe is its location. It's right next to Alki Beach as their name suggests. I had breakfast here and the food was just OK and nothing to write home about. The breakfast and brunch menu is extensive and took awhile to read through all of the items. Ordered the following: Coffee Farmer's Breakfast: two eggs, two strips of bacon, a sausage patty and two buttermilk pancakes, grilled russet potatoes Cinnamon bun The dishes are huge and could be shared. The coffee tasted like a dark roast that was slightly burnt. The savory breakfast items were standard and good. The sweet breakfast items could be improved. The buttermilk pancakes and cinnamon bun were both dense and could be lighter and fluffier. It was a pricey breakfast ($40+ for 3 items) that was subpar.
google avatar

Johnny U.

Yelp
The only breakfast spot to visit if you want consistent delicious breakfast. Country fried steak is the best with a side of pancakes. Staff is great and works hard to get through crazy rushes.
google avatar

Lindsay C.

Yelp
It was mediocre at best. The service was all over the place - knives are plastic (no big deal), got one napkin for 2 of us. She split the bill incorrectly. Ambiance is fine - super Covid aware. Food - the crab eggs bene were such a disappointment. It tastes like fried bread lumps on top of an English muffin. The hollandaise was bland. The blueberry pancakes were SO dense. I felt disgusting and bloated for 7 hours after the meal. Also the fan was blowing so hard down on me.

Katie K.

Yelp
Devin is correct. I among many others also worked for them and they don't even pay staff at all. I have a few bounced checks to prove it and zero of the tips that i had earned. The owner Beau McKeon is a thief. Google his name and please don't support his company. There are several kitchen staff who don't speak English well enough to stand up for themselves who have not been paid in months as well. Scumbag owner and management. greasy, overpriced food and extremely unclean restaurant. No hot water to wash dishes and very unsanitary conditions that would make the health board turn over in their graves.
google avatar

Devlin N.

Yelp
I loved this cafe and poured my heart n soul into it! But unfortunately they don't pay their staff on time and they stole thousands of dollars from me. I worked hard for my tips n never got them!

Michael D.

Yelp
It was once fantastic. No longer. Not sure what has happened. I doubt it will last till the end of the year.

Burma S.

Yelp
This was a regular neighborhood spot for us that we would frequent for decent breakfasts and occasional lunches, right on the beach. Sadly, someone on their staff recently committed credit card fraud with a card we left there for maybe 36 hours. We initially called after missing the card, and the staff member said she they had it and it would be waiting for us. We couldn't make it back the next day and were planning to stop by the following afternoon, when suddenly we were charged multiple times totally over $700 when our bank automatically shut it down. Police report was filed, and I spoke to a detective about it, then as these things go, nothing happened. I was tempted to return to the cafe and make a scene, but I thought it'd be better just to blacklist the place, and spread the word. Would love to hear some ownership response on this, because right now we are avoiding Alki Beach Cafe like the plague, and telling others about this incident.

Lexa R.

Yelp
Good, not great, just good. Hard to find good breakfast in west seattle, so it's a nice spot with a nice view. Skylark foods better but love Alki
google avatar

Ylse N.

Yelp
The service was absolutely awful!!! Being a resident from the area, we believe in supporting our local businesses. ; however, it is hard to do so when sanitation is lacking at every level and the service emphasizes in making you feel unwelcome. We will never come back to this place!

Yelp
The vegan breakfast is amazing and the potatoes are the best I've ever had in a breakfast restaurant.

Yelp
I was a little afraid of the mixed reviews, but I tried Alki Beach Cafe anyways and I enjoyed my experience. I went there for breakfast on a Friday morning right when then opened (8 AM). Yes, they are located right across from the beach (near the Statue of Liberty). There is some parking on Alki Ave SW, but there are also some good spots on the side street (61st Ave SW). The breakfast menu is pretty huge and they offer benedicts, omelets, scrambles, pancakes, french toast, etc. I decided to order the Alki Benedict (toasted english muffin, grilled sliced ham, two poached eggs, sauce (your choice of hollandaise or swiss asiago) and served with a side of grilled russet potatoes. My food arrived at my table piping hot and I thought everything tasted great. I thought the portion was just right. I ate everything and was pleasantly full. I didn't talk to my server a lot, but I could tell she was a pro. She took my order quickly, kept my coffee mug full, and processed my credit card promptly. However, I also never felt rushed, which was great. I think Alki Beach Cafe is a wonderful option for breakfast and I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Food 4/5 - for me the country fried steak was a little weird. Kind of a mix with somewhat salty to bland and it wasn't all that crispy. A little soggy. Service 4/5 - forgot our drinks, didn't really check to ask if we wanted more drinks or not. BUT the server did own up to her mistake and gave us complimentary drinks. 5 Star. Hope the tip was generous enough.
google avatar

Kent N.

Yelp
Nice location and great wait staff. But I stopped in for breakfast while visiting Seattle a couple weeks ago. I ordered a Chorizo Scramble. Scrambles are great since they're similar to omelets but usually with less egg. The Scramble I received was very over cooked to the point of being as brown as the toast. It took 3 glasses of water just to finish half of it. In retrospect, I wish I had sent it back and gone somewhere else for breakfast.

Loree P.

Yelp
I moved away from West Seattle a few years ago, so I thought while I was in the area I'd go back to visit an old favorite. The Cafe Benedict is no longer on the menu, so I ordered the closest thing, and what a disappointment. The crab cakes were more breadcrumb than crab and were over-fried to the point of inedibility. The Asiago sauce was gloppy and gluey. And they've replaced the griddle-fried skin-on sliced potatoes with generic hash browns (which were undercooked). My partner's pancakes were alright, but everything else about the food was meh at best. The servers were still as sweet as ever, but I guess the saying is true - you can't go home again.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
The portions here were huge!!! I also thought it was a pretty good price! I had the omelette and it came with so many delicious sides! Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Brooke B.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday for a late lunch. Place closes at three and I think we were the last table to be seated. Waited and watched servers goofing off until the host came to seat us. Weird set up. You basically walk in to face the kitchen and wait staff and tables are on either side. Prices are reasonable and a pretty extensive menu. Nothing spectacular. Definitely no place to dress up for. We had crab cakes that were greasy and really lacking in flavor. A really yummy cheeseburger and a decent reuben. But as far as ambiance and view? There are several other spots that would be better choices while strolling down Alki.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
The food was mid. The service was not the best, when we were ordering I was holding the menu waiting for my bf to finish and she proceeded to say "oh I'll just come back" when I knew I wanted and we had already been waiting for a while I was just holding the menu lol. the server didn't write down our order and came back 10-15 min later and asked what we ordered again. She kept touching my shoulder trying to apologize when she was running around.

Palvi S.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE!! I would give it zero stars if I could. Took my nephew the for a late-ish lunch on 4/2. After paying, left my credit card accidentally. Apparently some employee thought that gave them permission to steal my card to go on a shopping spree and charge $600+. Thankfully there are cameras where they used the card. Very disappointing that an employee did this! Will never come back here. Be cautious with your credit cards here!
google avatar

Michele S.

Yelp
Alki Beach is like your comfy old sweater with a hole in it. It's not your best, but you aren't going to throw it out either. All the standard breakfast and lunch favorites are here, and it's on Alki Beach, so you can walk off the effects of a big plate of comfort food. I like having a BLT and the pretty good crispy fries on a drizzly day with a pal. Service is professional and your coffee cup will stay filled while you get lost in your conversation.

Alliee R.

Yelp
Dirty, dirty, dirty. Creamer was delivered in a dirty glass container. Fruit flys in my egg scramble. The biscuit was still frozen in the middle. Dirty silverware, see photo. I would say that the meal was overpriced and unhygienic. Service was quick but customer service not satisfactory when it came to the addressed issues.
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
What a neat little place! We stopped in on a Wednesday morning and walked the beach waiting for them to open, 8a. I had a seafood omelet that was delightful and loaded with seafood. The waitress was generous with the coffee and we sat and chatted feeling completely free to stay as long was we wanted to chat. Next time I am in the Seattle are, I will be back.
google avatar

Nerissa C.

Yelp
For sure a local staple in Alki. This place is nothing fancy but it's good. The service can be hit and miss but overall, decent. The food is just like the place (nothing fancy) but the portions are generous. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable so you fell right at home.
google avatar

Marty K.

Yelp
I Love this place! The food is delicious and you are right across from the beach! I'll

Yelp
In the mood for some nice breakfast, on a nice sunny bright morning, I decided to head to Alki. My first option was another place but they were closed, so I wandered in the opposite direction and stumbled upon Alki Beach cafe. We were greeted by a friendly host who promptly took us to our table. The server came over and got our order. The order was: 1) Veggie Benedict with gluten free toast (sub for English muffin) and hollandaise sauce on the side 2) Chrizo scramble (red peppers and melted Jack and Cheddar cheese) but sub chorizo with sorizo 3) Black coffee Both the dishes came with grilled russet potatoes on the side. Black coffee was burnt. Veggie Benedict, as you can see in the picture, was smothered with sauce. The sauce was the Swiss cheese sauce instead of Hollandaise. There was no taste other than a weird after taste of the cheese. I couldn't finish this at all. The Benedict also has avocado and tomato. But the cheese just overpowered the whole dish. Sorizo scramble. I couldn't see the peppers nor could I taste the eggs. I mean, what was this?! I honestly don't have much to say about the food because I don't know what I was eating. At least the potatoes had a nice crunch so I give my two stars to that.
google avatar

Fred C.

Yelp
I came here for breakfast, and stayed for the coffee. Don't get me wrong the food is great!!! The coffee is excellent. I apologize for not posting pictures, I was hungry. Come one, come all and enjoy.
google avatar

Jill S.

Yelp
Yum. Finally found a breakfast in the Seattle area that I can say is a favorite. Good portions and food was yummy. And you can see the water while you eat.

Robert J.

Yelp
Any eggs Benedict here is awesome! Great view even on a rainy day like mine was. Great place to try while visiting Seattle.

Danny D.

Yelp
Crab cakes with hollandaise were super food. The server was so sweet and if the weather had been more chill we would've sat on the patio.

Ray I.

Yelp
I don't understand this place, you never know whether it's going to be good or bad eating here. Couple days ago had scrambled eggs with ham, eggs were not scrambled but sort of fluffed up, in a sort of unappetizing way. But I wouldn't write this review until we ordered takeout of two hamburgers, got home and one Burger had no patty meat on it!! Called them up and they wrote off the whole bill.
google avatar

Morgan J.

Yelp
Really great little breakfast spot. I had pancakes and my husband had biscuits and gravy that were amazing.

Rafael F.

Yelp
Good affordable food, nice view and good service. My 93 y/o dad lives just down the road and this is his favorite place to eat in West Seattle.
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
We went a second time with our dog. Yeah she barks but I'd rather hear a dog barking then a baby crying. You don't like my dog barking (to the worker who yelled at us for not keeping our dog quiet.) even though we were dining outside "Karen"! We won't be back. You don't like my dog you lost my business. Your potatoes were very greasy, son Bloody Mary sucked, oatmeal sucked ( McDonald's makes a better oatmeal GO check out how they they make oatmeal.) I wanted a cup I got a bowl of oatmeal. My husband omelette sucked too. The only thing good was the orange juice I had, and coffee my husband had. So my son and I stuck with water after that. It was very, very pricey. This will be our second and last visit here. Byeeeeeeee!!!!!
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
Just had breakfast here is morning. My husband and I enjoyed everything from the coffee, mimosa to the eggs, bacon and yummy buttermilk pancakes. The waitress was very attentive and friendly as well! Will be back soon.

Megan L.

Yelp
Omg it's so bad. Don't do it. You will regret it. We ordered "biscuits and gravy" and got 1.5 biscuits. I would love to know the throught process behind this. Did someone eat the other half? Someone consciously made the decision to only put a half a biscuit in the container. We also got "chicken fried steak and eggs" and my god it's terrible. I love salty things but the potatoes are so salty they are inedible. I regret everything.
