"Australians aren’t exactly known for being subtle, so when Northcote’s All Are Welcome was tagged with the line “Posh c*nts, good bread,” they spun it to their advantage and turned it into merch. And that anonymous artist was kinda right: you’ll pay more than average for the bread and pastries here, but they’re all well worth the price. There are just a handful of seats (same goes for the second location in Thornbury up the road), and while it’s open till 2pm, the excellent fennel-spiced pork sausage rolls and inventive fruit danishes can be sold out well before then, so you’ll want to arrive early." - Ellen Fraser

What a fab way to repurpose a former High St establishment. Between two we ordered a sandwich, sausage roll, and a rhubarb and almond bostock. The sanga was fresh, sausage roll was well sized (and served with a spicy chutney 🔥), and the bostock was perfection. Minimal indoor AND outdoor seating. Prices are steep and service was lacklustre so don’t expect much. If you’re ordering coffees, they don’t have almond milk. Would go back to grab takeaway pastries.

Last Sunday's lightly seeded spelt my bread of the year! Moist, seasoned perfectly, cuts like a dream, outstanding with cheese. The fruit bread... there are no words. Well actually... its the lack of sugar in dough that sets off the moist, sweet fruit so well. Perfection.

The honey cake here is unique and scrumptious - biscuity, honey-packed layered goodness without being too cloying or milky, crunchy and delightful. Even the small cake was a lot for a small-group gathering. Special commendations go out to Tallulah and Boris especially for being accommodating and very helpful with the cake ordering process despite a mistake on my part. Thank you!

Such a scrumptious, original array of delicious pastries & crusty sourdoughs! I love that they had quite an interesting mix of sweets; some of the stuff they had I'd never even heard of! 🙈---- really awesome to see given how much of the same stuff you typically see at bakeries! Everything looked freshly baked and made with quality ingredients (combined with the skilled handy work of their bakers) ✨ Even better, the staff were lovely & super friendly which always puts an extra pep in your step on a Saturday morning run to get some sweets ☺️ I will certainly be back to try even more of the tasty offerings of this brilliant little bake shop ☺️ Keep up the fab work!

It was soooo yummm!!!! The bakers here are amazing ✨ So as barista n all the staffs here !! I loved everything especially the Danish!! I live 40mins away from here but I’ll definitely come back :)

Brilliant addition to this end of the street. I used to go to the Northcote bakery back when I lived near there. Exemplary sourdough bread. I almost enjoyed eating this glorious bread as much as I enjoyed devouring all the one star reviews, the majority of which present as being authored by locals living in denial about the evolution of the environment they inhabit. Thanks for bringing good product to a neighbourhood that required it gang 🙏
