All Day Darling

About a 5 min car ride or 15-20 min walk from downtown Asheville is this spot with outdoor or indoor seating. Quick ordering process and a great offering of breakfast, lunch and coffee (and some libations). Offerings of baked goods with muffins, scones and cookies also available. I really enjoyed my Golden Mocha and The Standard breakfast sandwich was a warm toasty combination of fried egg, bacon, cheddar and herb mayo. While the place had a number of patrons, our breakfast arrived quickly and service was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great option for a quick, delicious meal enjoying the neighborhood atmosphere.

We stopped by All Day Darling in Asheville for breakfast and had a great experience. I ordered the standard breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs—simple, but done right. The real surprise? The toast. It looked like it had been pan-fried in butter, and whatever their secret is, it was absolutely delicious. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with healthy drink options and a barista on hand to satisfy your caffeine cravings. We arrived around 9 a.m. and, despite a short line, only waited about five minutes to order. Our food came out in under 10 minutes—super efficient for a busy morning. Street parking is a bit limited, but manageable if you're patient. All in all, a solid breakfast spot that hits the mark on food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Asheville!

In need of a breakfast spot that was actually open on Sundays, All Day Darling proved a fortuitous find. The bustling, light-filled environment and focus on Southern-influenced dishes reminded me of a superior version of the old Iron Hen in Greensboro. Though All Day Darling does keep busy, its line to the register (place your order, grab a number – they are friendly and efficient here) moves quickly, and there is plenty of seating. While I was tempted to order shakshuka, travel with something that heavy on my stomach seamed unwise, so I opted for The Standard (breakfast sandwich with a fried egg and herb mayo) with ham on a roll instead and paired it with a Golden Mocha (chocolate, turmeric, ginger, cardamon). My wife went with a Standard with avocado on a biscuit, and we split a piece of banana bread. All of the food cleared expectations. The breads and biscuits live up to their homemade billing. The creamy herb mayo was the perfect complement to the salty ham. The banana bread was as good as any I have ever made. Despite its bevy of components, the Golden Mocha was well-balanced and went down easy. All Day Darling is the kind of place where it would seem hard to go wrong. The next time we’re in Asheville, we’ll be back.

Such a dream. We ended up walking here on a perfect day, and it certainly continued being perfect afterwards! The menu is fun, the staff is nice, and the food is TO DIE FOR. As someone with a gluten allergy, I long for good fried chicken, especially living in the South. Oh boy did it deliver. I was absolutely blown away by the sensory experience of the Thunderbowl: colorful, crunchy, spicy and savory and sweet and WOW. This is now on my permanent rotation of eateries when coming to Asheville.

Got takeout on the way out of town, but still had a wonderful experience with the people working in the cafe. The Thunderbird sandwich was incredibly crispy and flavorful with the pickled veggies and the matcha latte was tasty. Very cute space - I'd love to go back next time I'm in town.

What a great breakfast!! Charming location with an amazing Victorian home across the street! Had the avocado toast with poached each- everything was fresh and delicious! Had to get a pancake for the ‘table’ wonderful Gingerbread!! Take your patience as it’s popular and you may have to wait in line to order- they move fast!

Second time here and I can’t wait to go again! We were shocked how fast the food came out, especially considering the crowd. Thank you for the honey lavender latte- it’s my favorite! Damn good burger too, the huge slice of bacon was to die for.

Came to Asheville for a work trip. Wanted a light dinner that was also healthy and found this place. The chicken salad salad was honestly 12 out of 10. Super flavorful and great portion. Service was FAST. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back for my next trip!

Man...this was an oops place. And we sure are glad we found it! We were driving home from Tennessee and decided to stop in Asheville for brunch. This is a super cute spot that we definitely will come back to. My wife had the thunderbird and wasn't wowed the way they hyped it up, however it was okay for taste. It could have used some more harissa and the chicken was bland. The fry on the chicken however was perfect. Crispy, crunchy and not dried out. Now the winners of this meal was the avocado toast and the yumyum drink! 10/10 for both! The avocado toast was so good, the portion was just right and the dressed greens balanced it out. When ordering the yumyum I didn't realize it was a smoothie but it was so delicious and I opted to keep it. The service was amazing!

Really great food in a cute setting. Ordered the breakfast bowl and added avocado and feta. Amazing . Best breakfast I've had in years. Bloody Mary was also good! Line moved fast so jump in it!

Everything is delicious. Drinks, smoothies, bowls. We love coming here and sitting outside with our dogs. You truly can't go wrong. Something for everyone including my omnivore wife. We love you, All Day Darling!

We found this place as it was a short walk from our Airbnb. We planned on eating there in the morning, but we didn't realize how popular it was with the locals! We fell in love with the pastries so we decided to come back the next day. I'm glad we did because they have the Shakshuka I've ever tasted - the tomato base was so rich and flavorful. I'm not sure what they put in it, but I'll probably never be able to eat Shakshuka anywhere else! The line does get quite long; I think we came before or around 10:30 both Saturday and Sunday and that's when the line seems to get backed up. We dined here before the storm and I hope with all my heart that this place in the neighbourhood are doing OK.

Such a precious cafe joint in the beautiful Montfort area. I only hopped in for a quick beverage but I will definitely have to come back for a bite to eat with some friends. I ordered the lululemonade and it's good. Staff were semi friendly. Absolutely loved the outdoor seating variety!

What a cute little cafe! This spot had tons of indoor and outdoor seating options. The menu had plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options too. They have a dedicated fryer for gluten allergies which is perfect for celiacs. The staff was friendly too! I had a bagel sandwich and chocolate croissant. My husband had gf pancakes and tater tots. The pancakes were not our favorite, but the other food was delicious!

This place is killing it by delivering all day breakfast. We visited around 1 and it was hopping. Food took a bit to get but WOW was it worth it. Tots were piping hot and crispy. Shakshuka was messy but super flavorful and good spice. Kale was an unexpected standout.

The gluten free fried chicken biscuit was SOOOOOO yummy!! The biscuit did flake as expected with gluten free biscuits but it didn't matter I ate it anyway!! It was awesome to be able to get gluten free good food!

Lovely patio and indoor space with fresh air and light. I stopped in mid day for a tea and salad. The salad was fresh and crisp.

Food was SO good! A must-visit when in Asheville Mushroom toast was 10/10. Lululemonade was more bitter than I expected but I enjoyed it after a few more sips. Came on a Sunday morning and the line was super long. Highly recommend ordering ahead online for pick up (although there are limited drink options on the online menu). Nice outdoor space for the warm weather.

The best thing about this place is the ambiance. No question about it. It's bright and airy and I can only imagine how much nicer it is on a nice day since so much of it can be opened to the outside via garage-style doors. It's counter-service and you basically bus your own dishes. You pick up your drinks at a window and the food will be delivered to your number. I don't mind this per se, just worth pointing out. I tried a specialty coffee, a Mayan mocha. It was okay. I think I just need to admit to myself I just really like coffee that tastes like coffee. I had an egg sandwich with avocado on a biscuit. It was just okay. To their credit, there was a generous portion of avocado and the price is pretty good. The biscuit itself is pretty good, but not great. I wasn't a huge fan of the herb mayo they put on it and all just tasted rather bland despite consisting of items that should all in theory be loaded with flavor. They didn't ask how we wanted our eggs cooked and they came out over easy. I don't mind that, but if you do you may want to request how it's cooked. If I lived nearby I'd come back for the vibes, order a regular coffee or maybe a beer and just hang out for a bit (on a non-work day as there's no public WiFi), but I'd most likely go elsewhere for food.

A little off the beaten path, but near downtown. All Day Darling has a unique menu and offers a variety of very fresh breakfast/brunch/lunch options. There is walkup ordering at the counter and the space is a little tight which may turn folks off, but it's worth stopping in!

Delightful little neighborhood spot in the heart of Montford. I love the aesthetics of the spot as it feels like a cozy little indoor outdoor breakfast nook. Lots of good lighting and nice tables for breakfast dates. It is counter service where you get a number. The staff was friendly but I do wish they told me it was extra to get my breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I was so confused as to why a croissant breakfast sandwich and drip coffee hit me at $15. That feels incredibly expensive for a sandwich and drip coffee. All of the Pastries looked absolutely delicious. The croissant itself was amazing. Buttery and flaky, soft, and crunchy. Not worth the price, but delicious nonetheless. The egg and avocado were wonderful. A little bit too much mayo, but it did all mix nicely. The coffee itself was pretty decent. No refills like a few other places in the area.

My go to place for visitors! Everything is so yummy. Staff is friendly and or just gets the job done. They remember you and that's a plus! Lots of fun outdoor seating. Great convivial place. Love the pastry. Love bowls. Yummy Avocado toast. Meh mushroom toast. Lots of sourdough options and GF where needed. Oat bars are a friend favorite! Love the coffee they serve. Great barista action! One of our favorite spots in Asheville to get breakfast and it never disappoints! Conveniently located near downtown but in a much easier area to park in the Montford neighborhood. The menu here is phenomenal and you will most likely have a hard time trying to decide what to get because everything sounds so good. I usually get the lox plate but decided to go with the chicken biscuit this time which did not disappoint, served with harissa aioli, honey, and a pickle! P.s. their coffee drinks are just as amazing as the food!

Super cute place to eat with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. Absolutely love the gluten free options. I'm definitely not used to having so many options when I go out to eat! We stopped in for brunch during a short vacation and fell in love. Definitely wish they had one of these back in Nashville! The food is absolutely fabulous and the service is pretty fast even when packed out. They're also super respectful & knowledgeable when it comes to any dietary needs/choices. Can't wait to come back next time we are in town!

So food is super yummy ; very light and fresh tasting. BUT the prices are kinda overpriced knowing you have to order at a window (counter service vs table service). There isn't a server to check if you like your food, if you need silverware, etc- total window service only. So yeah, it's tasty... but the prices are ouchy for a fast food kinda experience.

Great gluten free options for my celiac child! Tater tots and fries were a hit, and we all loved the smoothies! I really wish there was a place like this where we live.

Wow...I loved coming to All Day Darling. I ordered the basic breakfast sandwich but with a croissant which I loved. I wish they would have had a more of q breakfast potatoes but the tatortots were excellent. You order your food up at the counter and they bring your food out to your table. The service is fast. The place is very nice. We sat outside but they do that indoor seating. I would definitely come back for that breakfast sandwich.

This place has amazing food and is a cute location slightly out of downtown. I had the two egg breakfast with toast tempeh and roasted kale and my husband had the salad and pancakes. Their coffee and lattes are good as well.

I have been eating at ADD for several years and probably for the last time. Today I brought my sister and brotherinlaw for lunch and the food was pretty awful for all of us. My sister and I had the first salad on the menu and it was wet and soggy and warm. My brother in law had the burger and he said it was not very good but I'm not sure exactly why. Fries are good and lentil fritters are good. food just doesn't seem fresh and cared for. Frankly I am seeing a lowering of quality in many establishments in Asheville.

Delicious breakfast. Counter service where you order and they give you a number, and the food and coffee comes out quickly. Ordered the breakfast bowl which was a kale and cucumber salad with pumpkin seeds and flax seeds and poached eggs and beans, and I added their gluten free fried chicken. Except for how small it was, it was perfect. I was surprised how much I enjoyed such an odd mix of breakfast ingredients, but it was awesome. And it wasn't small-I just wish it was bigger. Coffee is good but kinda standard for around here-Counter Culture beans. Place is basically all windows with some outdoor seating as well. Bright and welcoming. We will be back.

Breakfast sandwich: good spread, bagel was freshly made, a lil skimpy on the sausage but sooo delicious!! Mushroom toast: amazing 10000/10 best toast I've had. It doesn't look the most appetizing but it tastes phenomenal Miel Latte: perfect amount of slight sweetness

Likes: - Healthy, vegetarian food options! - Filling breakfast options - Buddha bowl was very tasty (especially the kale + rice) but too salty overall Dislikes - "The standard" breakfast sandwich was tasty but the bagel was soggy due to being wrapped in foil and the other ingredients

This place is POPPIN!! I can't help but want to come back. The food was perfect. There is outdoor seating and so much room for animals and your family. The only complaint was that my friend and I kept smelling dog feces.

A nice spot that's a short walk up the street from the Asheville Visitor Center. They have really tasty drinks here. My wife got the Hemp Latte and I got the Golden Mocha. Both were phenomenal! We also ordered some food and I got the Darling Burger with Tater Tots, she got the Mushroom Toast. These were both tasty, but I wish I had asked for some extra herb mayo for my burger. The Tater Tots were perfect! The restaurant has a really nice vibe and they open it up to get plenty of fresh air on a nice day. They also have some cute outdoor seating and a lot of greenery. Service was great!

The best breakfast biscuit sandwich I've had. So much flavor! The tater tots were perfectly crisp. Efficient and quick service with an a great outdoor seating area. In a cute part of the city that isn't too long a walk from downtown Asheville.

It was good, but very expensive for what I actually got. I paid $15.50 for the breakfast bowl (with the added avocado) and it just wasn't enough food for me- and definitely not for that price. I was needing a good meal because I was about to go hiking, so I actually went back up and ordered more food because I was still hungry. It was delicious don't get me wrong, just too little of food. I would say about 1/4 c. Beans, 1/2 c kale, and 1/4 c market veggies + the 2 eggs and luckily I added on the 1/2 avocado. I went back and ordered the almond butter toast and that was very good and did the job for me. Love the atmosphere and all of the outdoor seating. I won't be coming back though, sadly! Just wasn't worth it for me.

Incredible. Best breakfast in Asheville. Quick service, super fun, quaint atmosphere, and just wonderful food. Unique offerings but also the class breakfast staples are available. Whether you are from somewhere near here or just visiting, you need to experience the All Day Darling breakfast. Perfect start to the day followed by a walk around the river arts district.

Love this neighborhood breakfast/lunch spot and have to come here every time I'm in town. The food is delicious and the outdoor patio is charming. Today I had a beautiful latte, and a tasty chicken biscuit sandwich. My husband enjoyed the egg sandwich on a yeast roll with crispy bacon. The service is walk up to order and they bring the food to your table. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I ordered a chocolate cookie and I have a severe nut allergy. I asked the person at the front if the cookie had any nuts in it and she immediately said no. I took a bite and there were in fact nuts in that cookie. They need to have more caring professional workers there! Her carelessness could have killed me.

This cafe has great food quickly - the service was super friendly and also very efficient. My husband had the iced spicy drinky and all day breakfast with a side salad (for a brunch/lunch vibe). I got a hot chai latte made with oat milk and the mushroom toast. It has shimeji mushrooms and probably others under all that melty Brie cheese! The salad is delicious with a nice light vinaigrette.

A great neighborhood cafe and coffee shop with a great patio! We were staying at an Airbnb just up the road about a half mile or so, and as we were driving up to it, I noticed All Day Darling, immediately looked it up, and made plans to have breakfast here during our stay. So one morning, we walked up for breakfast. You order inside at the counter, get a table tent number, food is delivered to you, and you (if I recall) also bus up after yourself a little bit. They have a very small amount of indoor seating available and about twice as many outdoor seating options, if the weather is cooperative. Thankfully, it hadn't started raining yet, so we were able to enjoy our food outside. I saw shakshuka on the menu, so I knew right away I would be ordering that. It just sounded delicious, and was breakfast, but also not sweet. I like a savory breakfast. It was pretty great! I also got a regular drip coffee, so that I could get a top up of it, and later some to go. You have to wait in the whole ordering line again to get a refill, since there isn't table service...but I was appropriately caffeinated and I was happy with that. I enjoyed my meal and we had a pretty decent visit overall. If I were to stay in the same area of town, I would certainly come here for another meal. I might not go far out of my way for it, were I staying on the other side of town and I like to try new places...but if it was close by....I'd be back in heartbeat.

I was excited to check out this place, but it was sadly underwhelming for me. I had the golden mocha iced, but it wasn't flavorful. The fried chicken biscuit was a let down. It definitely was fried, but the biscuit itself was dry and tasteless even though it looked beautiful. The harissa wasn't very spicy and was dolloped in the middle, leaving the outer portions of the chicken neglected. There wasn't enough harissa to share the love with the chicken. The tatertods were great and cooked to perfection! The rest of the group ordered the lox plate, I felt like I missed out on the memo (-; Their food looked PHENOMENAL! The lox plate was my second choice. Never second guess yourself folks when you're torn to make a decision. They all enjoyed their lox plate and were very pleased. If I'm in town again, and we head over here I'll try the lox plate next time! No more chicken biscuits for me here.

A-ma-zing! Gluten free options were ridiculous- more to choose from than I've ever seen before! Including pancakes that made the rest of my morning SO happy! Seriously, the whole menu was terrific, it was all the things that I'd want; want to make; or offer to someone who was in my kitchen at home! And coffee wasn't bad, either! :)

Stopped in to do a take out. The thunderbird chicken sandwich is huge and awesome!! Great crust and a full chicken breast They offer beers, ciders, teas and other drinks. Not a fan of their shoestring fries but they were hot and crunchy. Very nice staff.

We stopped off at the visitors center and the associate told us about this restaurant. Here we are the wife and family. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel 5 out of 5 Tater tot's home made were delicious. The brother in law had the big daddy burger and rated it 4.5 out of 5. His advice is to squeeze the burger otherwise the great insides will fall out. Caramelized onions and Gruyère cheese was yummy. The wife had a avocado egg sandwich, ask for the egg to be well done, it was a bit runny for her 4 out of 5. 35.00 for lunch 4 people. The family said it was worth the trip

Truly just happened by while exploring the Montford area. We are so glad we stopped in. The food was fresh and flavorful. The menu has a nice blend of basic and unique offerings. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches and sides with lots of drink options. Friendly and helpful staff. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Very casual with indoor and outdoor seating with areas for privacy. Kids menu as well. Relax and enjoy!

This was a delicious place to go for breakfast. I ordered easy over eggs, toast, and bacon. The eggs came on a bed of kale. I was surprised but I loved the combination. Service was pretty fast and the ambiance is beautiful. Sitting in the restaurant with all the windows and greenery outside made it so light and cheerful. The place was completely crowded with people outside but it was still quiet enough to talk without yelling and the tables were far enough apart that the neighboring tables were not encroaching on our table.

Service was quick and friendly! I love their menu and drink selection for breakfast. Not to mention are in a great location!

First morning in Asheville and I picked All Day Darling for breakfast after reading reviews online. It did not disappoint! Ordered the biscuit sandwich with avocado. Biscuit was flaky, buttery, and delicious. Ot did start to fall apart towards the last few bites, but worth it. Egg was perfectly cooked, avocado was fresh and the herb Mayo added a nice tangy flavor. Also ordered a side of tater tots. Although you can tell they are just frozen tots, they were fried perfectly. Golden brown and not over or under done. Perfectly crispy. The only reason for four stars is they did not offer any sugar free syrup options for their coffees. The outdoor vibe was fun and relaxing, in a pretty part of a historic neighborhood. Will be back when I'm back in Asheville again.

Shakshuka & Buddha Bowl were both amazing. Our hot coffee drinks were absolutely perfect too. The service was polite & efficient. The overall ambiance was easygoing & comfortable. (My teenager was all into the playlist also!)

Love that I can get avocado toast with a salad on the side for breakfast!! #normalizesaladforbreakfast The black pepper ricotta with the avocado is perfection and starting my day out with Outkast and Ludacris was a bonus.
