Honestly I want to say we had a good experience! But, there were a couple of hiccups. We were honestly very confused when walking in. Luckily, my friend had been there before and told us how it worked. Once we entered none of the staff greeted us or explained how the process works in terms of pricing, glazes, painting, tool, just the general senses of things worked. I think it would’ve been a smoother experience if we had some guidance since it was our very first time doing this. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out things when we could’ve spent it painting.
My friend gave all five of us a break down/ tour and we were able to finally get started on our own. We did have a reservation for six people but it seemed another party took over our table so we had to physically move the tables around so we could paint. The staff did not come by once to check on us. Once we were done, we took a photo and handed our pottery to the staff to check out. My friend had warned the girl that there were some wet areas on her mug. She nodded and proceeded to smudge the glaze around. My friend had to ask for it back to attempt to fix it after we had just finished cleaning up everything.
Today we picked up our pottery a week later and saw three out of 6 of our items were chipped. My friend said she glanced at the way they had the pieces stacked and it was not with care. With the whole experience, time spent, hiccups- just to end up with chipped items. I don’t think we would go again.
