Yelp
I have been wanting to try All Pierogi Kitchen for years, and when my friend suggested going on New Year's Eve for lunch, I was happy to check it out. I had no idea until I went online that this restaurant is owned by a Ukrainian family. When I heard "pierogi," I just assumed it was a Polish restaurant. They do have a variety of Polish and Ukrainian grocery items in the market.
When we arrived at 1 pm, we were the only ones there. The smallish restaurant filled up very quickly from 1 to 2 pm. They do take reservations, which are recommended during busy times.
The menu is very large, with many types of pierogis to choose from. I had the 6 pierogi plate with 2 of the potato-mushroom, 2 farm cheese-potato (farm cheese is like a ricotta cheese), and 2 farm cheese-chive. I tried my pierogis fried and my dining partners tried theirs boiled. The fried is not "deep fried." They are very lightly fried in a pan. Delicious! You are allowed to try up to 3 types of pierogis per plate. I also had the "small" bowl of borscht, which turned out to be a very generous bowl of borscht, served with a dallop of sour cream. The borscht was fantastic! I had iced tea to drink, and received a free refill of the iced tea. It had just the right strength for me and was cold and refreshing.
My boyfriend tried the sausage plate, which was kielbasa sausage, served with a small salad in a glass cup (first time I've ever seen that!), and cheddar-potato pierogies.
My friend tried the 6 pierogi plate, a bowl of borscht, and also got a take out order of the beef stew, served with potato pancakes. We all really enjoyed our meals.
The market was very well organized, with all the products perfectly lined up on the shelves. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars? Several of the products we looked at were expired, some in November, 2022. Be careful if you make a food purchase from the market.
