All Souls Lounge

Can't believe this was my first time trying this place after having been to Salem several times! The menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly and the cocktail menu is vintage. I had a veggie hot dog. My food and my drink were both really good. I can't wait to go back and try their grilled cheese! Definitely recommend and definitely will be going back.

We visited on Halloween and were happy to find that most items on the menu can be made vegan. My husband had one of their grilled cheese options and I had a Field Roast “dog” and each was really good! The vegan spinach dip appetizer was absolutely amazing with the bread (the chips were too salty). The drinks were delicious, the service quick and everyone was super nice despite the busy Halloween crowds.

Great bar with delicious food! Came here with my friend after a full day of exploring Salem, and the food really hit the spot. We started off with some tasty spinach dip. For our main meals, I ordered the santa fe dog, my friend ordered the seattle dog, and we both shared mac and cheese with chili. It was all very delicious. The service was great too. The inside of the bar was intimate with dark, romantic lighting. It felt cozy and was not very loud. We did not try any drinks this time around, but will be sure to try some next time. Definitely recommend this place for grilled cheese and hot dog lovers.

5 stars all around! This was my second time in town coming here (we also came back a third time today) the food was BOMB and Angie and Jackie and the other bartenders were very attentive and great, Angie had the best service and gave us great suggestions for things to do and places to go . I had the grilled cheese, crab dip, queso, & pierogies and everything was so good! Obvious when I come to town again I will be back!

Incredible hot dogs and pierogis, plus special $5 drinks from 11:30-3 on Saturdays and Sundays. Great service and delicious food! They even brought treats and water for our dogs, which are welcome for outdoor dining!

Party of 5 the day before Halloween. We got there at just the right time and got a nice seat inside in the front. The services was friendly. The drinks and food were good. The tuna melt on sourdough was actually the best thing I ate on my 4 day trip. I would definitely return here if I ever went back to Salem.

Great dingy dive-bar ambience, but the staff are fucking abysmal. Sat us, let us order- THEN asked for ID's (???). Rude every step of the way. Wouldn't accept our ID's despite both having valid ID's and being 35 years old. Everything else was closed. Had to order Uber eats from our hotel. Cursing y'all as soon as I get home. If you hate serving tourists, don't have a business in Salem.

My brother and sister-in-law brought me here when I visited for Thanksgiving last year, and I thought about that grilled cheese all year! When I visited this year, I demanded that we go back. It didn't disappoint. Last year I got the Brie and apple grilled cheese that had me swooning. This year I got a blue cheese and fig jam grilled cheese that I also loved. It'll be in my dreams until next year!! The bar also has great vibes in the space with the red lights and music.

Very cute cocktail lounge to end our day in Salem. The grilled cheese and hot dog variety was very much appreciated after walking around during the day. We were a large group, 7 of us, and had a brief wait before we were seated. All the sandwiches came with a pickle and bag of chips as well.

Great atmosphere and staff! Who knew you make a hot dog and grilled cheese so over the top?! Flavor was great and so were the drinks. Great job All Souls!

Love this haunt! Fantastic cocktails, great service and veg friendly! I know everyone raves about the grilled cheese and I should have gotten that, but I went with the Seitan Bahn Mi. Unfortunately, it's not at all a Bahn Mi and it truly wasn't that great. Stick with the grilled cheese!

All Souls Lounge is a cozy little bar with quite the impressive menu focused on gourmet grilled cheese and hot dogs. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. In addition, to the menu, there's a wide variety of drinks to includes a few mocktails; the shrub and soda tastes like a spicy strawberry and worth being ordered. Now onto the important aspect... the hot dogs. I'm always down for a good Chicago dog, and it's a solid version with the exception of the hot dog bun. The buns are made for lobster rolls, and frankly is too much bread compared to the hot dog itself. Now what I was truly excited about was seeing an Icelandic hotdog on the menu. There's many reasons to visit Iceland, because it's a stunningly beautiful country, but also visit for the hotdogs, because they're amazing. When it was delivered to the table, I was so excited because it looked amazing; however, it was a miss. An Icelandic hotdogs has two different types of ketchup, a curry mustard, and fried onions; the surprise of it is that the hot dog takes on a bit of a sweetness because of the mustard followed by the crunch of the onions. Unfortunately, the substitution of ingredients, namely the brown mustard, made the overall hot dog salty rather than sweet. Icelandic hotdogs aside, this is a great blend of easy and tasty foods and worth the stop when spending time in Salem.

Where do I begin with this??? so with 1.4 million people visiting Salem Massachusetts in the month of October, getting into experience their best restaurants can prove to be difficult but worth the time if you're standing in line at the All Souls lounge. This restaurant and bar pub has the most incredible fare!!! We had one of their gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, 2 signature drinks, and the spinach dip and queso cheese dip is insanely good! It was hands down the best meal of our girls trip!

Dark and cozy ambiance, gourmet grilled cheese and hot dogs, well balanced cocktails, and friendly prompt service. We dropped in Sunday evening and tried the la femme and a fig deal grilled cheese, which were both tasty. They came out super hot and melty on buttery A&J bread (a little burnt but still good) with a fresh pickle and chips for a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the strawberry chile shrub (mocktail) and Batida 1900 for bevvies. If I lived in Salem this would probably become a local haunt for me, and I'll return when I'm in the area again!

Stopped in for drinks and a bite to eat. Cocktails were great and the food hit the spot. I had an All American hot dog, wife had the fig grilled cheese. Ambiance, music was great. Stop in if you can. Would have given it 5 stars had our waitress not rudely pointed out to my wife that we reached our 90 minute limit stay while I was in the restroom. Is this because it's Salem in October? Maybe, but don't be like that.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who's a local. We were not disappointed! They are known for their grilled cheese and there are so many to choose from. My husband and I both got the La Femme which has apple and brie. So delicious. We also got the tomato soup, which was just ok. We mainly got it to dip our sandwiches in, but the La Femme probably wasn't the best choice for that. Still, it was all really satisfying. Also the sandwiches came with a bag of chips, which was nice. Didn't try their cocktails but they looked fun. Ambiance is cute, kind of dark and divey. They have TVs playing movies and TV show. Service was attentive, although one of the servers seemed a little reserved, but maybe she was having a bad day. Overall, it was a good little pit stop before we drove back to Boston.

Stopped into All Souls Lounge for a grilled cheese and a cocktail! Service was great and drinks and food were fantastic! Would recommend if you're going into Salem! Sat in the outside seating and it was just perfect!

Wonderful ambiance inside and outstanding service as well. Such a neat place to enjoy a delicious vintage cocktail! The menu also includes mocktails, wine, boilermakers and various bottles/cans! Sam and I enjoyed a madras and zombie which were both excellent, tasty vintage cocktails! Jim enjoyed a delicious and refreshing Krasno orange wine. This night was so much fun, a night out in Salem with my very best friends! Laughing through the streets until the late hours of the night! I'll never forget it and cherish the memories forever! So many amazing and meaningful conversations were had this night! We had a blast exploring the beautiful and iconic witch city! Thank you so much to @allsoulssalem this is a very classy spot to enjoy a delicious and unique beverage while enjoying each others company or your own company! Highly recommend checking it out if you're ever vacationing in Salem, Massachusetts! I am missing Salem already. Great hipster pub right off the beaten path of Salem mainstreet. We dropped by before a late dinner at the recommendation of our local friend and weren't disappointed. The drinks and service were great and it was definitely the spot for mid twenties tourists and locals. I couldn't help but get a grilled cheese knowing that my vegetarian dinner at the night's seafood restaurant reservation wouldn't be optimal. It was tasty and so necessary after a long day of walking. Definitely stop by for a drink, cool vibes, and good conversation.

We stumbled across All Souls on a Sunday night it was the only bar and place open with a vibe, music, and great late-night food. We are glad we found it after a long day of tours and exploring we needed some food that fed the soul. The staff was great our server Kelly was great love her whole vibe and her outgoing attitude. She is great at her job. She was fast and a great server. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and omg fresh and full of flavor. The fig deal grill cheese was so delicious it was a taste of home and comfort. Not overfilling. I would recommend stopping in. I would go back and easy to find. Even the people we met there were great. Don't go if you don't like being Next to people and vibing. Everything was great and delicious no complaints. Oh, beware of the zombie drink. It definitely might put you out and end the night for you. It's shareable.

Great find in Salem! Sat at the bar and had some beers and a bite. Greta service. Sad we didn't have cocktails because the looked amazing. (And the pierogies and kielbasa were fantastic).

Have dined in and gotten takeout from here and have been impressed both times! You have to know going in that the main menu items are grilled cheese and hot dogs but the different flavor combinations they offer are super fun and delicious. As an added bonus they offer a vegetarian hot dogs as a substitute on any of their offerings if you don't eat meat. Service is friendly and the food was ready on time when we got takeout. Inside is a little dark but cozy atmosphere.

My wife and I are from out of town and we saw the good yelp reviews and decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! The Chicago style dog was amazingly good but the Vietnamese style grilled cheese was so unique, mouthwatering and was so delicious! Never had anything like that! The food server said they just added it to their menu. Can't remember the name of it though but it's the only Vietnamese grilled cheese on the menu. We also both had hazy ipa's on draft and they were pretty solid. The food servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommended this place and we will definitely be coming back!

When in Salem, found All Souls Lounge on Yelp. What a fantastic spot!! The food was fantastic and the drink selection was great. Syd was amazing! A highly recommended spot in Salem.

I am here in Salem on vacation and was told All Souls was a great little spot for drinks. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it had to be the worst Bloody Mary I have ever had in my life, and I am 52 so that's pretty bad. Tomato juice, horseradish, and vodka is not a Bloody Mary, it's cocktail sauce. Please buy a bottle of Zing Zang and look up an actual recipe.

The banh mi grilled cheese with seitan was ridiculously good. Great service. Glad we stopped in here for lunch while visiting Salem.

Wandering around the streets of Salem on a cool September afternoon. Looking for a quick watering hole for a good beer. Vibe inside was cool and campy and felt like a bar. I like a good bar. Service was prompt and the beer list hit the spot for my love of IPA's. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food but if you like a good ole campy bar here's your place.

This was such a fun place to have a late night bite. The spinach dip was TO DIE FOR! I have never had a spinach dip like this, it was rich and creamy but not a cream or dairy base. It was so wonderful and chips and bread made it even better. The pretzels were also delicious. The star if the show for me was the Strawberry Chilli Shrub Mocktail. I love shrubs (vinegar based drink) but the heat that was accomplished with this drink was like pure magic. Seriously the best mocktail I have ever had! Service was great for a busy Friday Night! This was a great spot!

The food was good sure but the one server we had outside was absolutely rude and racist was very nice to everyone there except my table filled with Latin women. It was very upsetting especially in this day and age will not be returning.

I'm so glad my husband and I randomly came here late one night when all the other restaurants were closed. This place has THE BEST grilled cheese and the MOST AMAZING tomato soup I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about that soup now and I had it in October. My husband ordered one of the hot dogs and it was equally delicious. The staff are super nice and though we did have to line up outside (it was coldddd), the person managing the line/door outside with us was doing a great job trying to get the tables filled as quickly as possible. I highly recommend this spot when you're visiting Salem!

Decent cocktails. We visited All Souls Lounge around 5:30 on a Thursday, and there was plenty of seating. Alternative rock and dim red lighting provided the backdrop for our visit. I tried the "smash 1887" and "el Diablo 1946" cocktails. We also split the buffalo chicken taco special. Both cocktails were solid if unspectacular. The tacos were delicious, and we would have ordered another three if we didn't have dinner reservations. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience at All Souls Lounge and would recommend them for bars in Salem.

Perfect vibes. Wonderful service. Delicious food (with vegan options) - and the kitchen doesn't close super early (like other places) - hands down my favorite place to eat here.

Stopped in All Souls for lunch and a cocktail after 15 min of checking out the witch memorial and realizing that Salem is a huge tourist trap. Dissapointing really. But All Souls was not disappointing. We ordered the pretzels (yum), the queso dog (double yum) and hubs got the patty melt in which he really liked. We sat at the bar. It was really cool that the music was being played from records in which the bartender turned. Great taste in music.

We decided to stop by here on our last night in Salem. It was right across from our hotel which was convenient and it looked interesting. We had to try 3 times to get in though. The first 2 times they were full and we would have had to wait for a spot at the bar. We decided not to wait and wandered around the city and just came back since it was close. We finally got in and got a seat at the bar. This place surprised me a little bit. Looking at the menu online I thought it was going to be a relaxing speakeasy type of lounge place. But it was very noisy and seemed more like a sports bar. They had a basketball game on the TV and everyone was yelling, I guess it was an important game it might have been one of the final games of the season but I forget. Drinks were ok. I got some tropical type passion fruit cocktail I believe that was decent but not enough alcohol in it . It was speakeasy prices but not quite speakeasy quality. We just got 1 drink and then left because it was too crowded.

One of the better bars in Salem. We were told by a bartender at another establishment to try All Souls Lounge and it did not disappoint. Great service and a nice vibe. The grilled cheese sandwiches rock!

This bar was amazing! I had such a great time. It was pretty busy around 3pm on a Sunday. The server was so friendly! There was a live band and they were playing top hits from the 2010's it was perfect! Not to forget the pretzels! They were delicious

Not sure why it took me so long to come here. Very chill vibe in the joint, great drinks, kind servers and epic grilled cheeses and hot dogs. I want to come here more often. Great tunes over the speakers as well.

I visited All Souls Lounge on a bachelorette trip to Salem. I didn't go inside, as we dined outside but I had a great experience. Pictured is the Bramble. Although it's noted as a "mocktail" on their menu, our serve was very accommodating in allowing me to make it a cocktail. Very tasty, light, and refreshing. Perfect for a summer drink! *disclaimer, I didn't have any of their food.

BEST COCKTAIL LOUNGE IN SALEM! What a treat! It's a small spot easily missed but with a cozy inside and a great little patio. Dog friendly. Be a good person and put some money in the juke box. Historical cocktails, grilled cheese (the sweet and salty with bacon and hot honey is my fav) with hot dogs, what's not to love. Friendly staff.

Stopping here for food and drinks and visiting this place was the only redeeming part of our trip to Salem. We unfortunately acted as misguided tourists and spent the afternoon in Salem waiting for something magical to happen. There was nothing worth seeing in the whole town (IMHO). As we dejectedly decided to stop here at the end of our journey for drinks (before our dinner reservations elsewhere), we were pleasantly surprised when a very sweet host immediately directed us to a place to sit and welcomed us in. We then proceeded to try three of the cocktails and they were all delicious. After looking at the menu, we cancelled our dinner plans elsewhere and decided to stay for some grilled cheese. I had the sweet grilled cheese and my S.O. had the bahn mi. They were greasy but delicious and we both loved them. I was also really impressed by their vegan and gluten free options (even though I'm not vegan), but I overwhelmed the waiter explaining the options to the table next to me! Our server was awesome. The place itself was just a cool vibe. Stop here if you're in Salem!

Love this bar! Service is great, theme is fun, don't get the psycho Killah special worst drink I have ever had! Zombie is a great drink and the chilly bowl were excellent. Grilled cheese and tomato soup also amazing

If there was a 0 star option I would pick it. I had gone here this past Father's Day because i let my father pick the restaurant. He chose this place because he thought it would be a good place because he had never been. I had ordered a grilled cheese and a hot dog and my father got a hot dog as well. We were both dissatisfied because the food was terrible and the service was a 1.5 hour wait and 2 hours to get a table. Every decoration in the restaurant did not match each other. the bathroom was disgusing because it wasn't clean, had bugs, and there was human SHIT on the floor.

Here is an example of outstanding service. They had a drink special on tuesday that I loved, I came back on wensday and when I sat down they handed me the same drink and said they had some left over from the batch and remembered how much I liked it from the day before. I was visiting from out of town and they still recalled and went out of their way to make me happy :) Plus vegan corn dogs made my wife SOOOOO happy.

This was such a great experience!!! Fabulous service...AMAZING FOOD...and loved the vintage 80s. movies showing!!! Will definitely make a point to come back :)

The best cocktails! Even mocktails and the best grilled cheese I ever had! I got the one with the apple on it, and I am still craving it today! We went twice on our trip!

This is one of the coolest new spots in Salem! The atmosphere is very chill and the food and drinks are out of this world! Highly recommend the grilled cheeses- I haven't had one I didn't like!

We dined outside because it was the quickest seats. When I did duck inside to use the restroom I wished we'd went inside to eat cause it was incredibly moody and atmospheric. I loved it. The service was pretty prompt especially considering we visited on Halloween. The food was pretty good but nothing really wowing. The drinks I got we're definitely not light. I've had some drinks and these were strong. I'm not complaining cause that's how I like them and I expect my monies worth. But be warned haha.
