I was looking for a coffee spot around the corner from my friend's house and ran into this cafe. Robbie is so friendly and efficient and getting your coffee ready. He's from Australia and we chatted about cricket and which city I should visit when I go to Australia. He recommended Melbourne over Sydney. I was looking for a flight for a long time and given that this is run by an Australian gentleman they had a flat white. I hadn't had one before and I really liked it. The pastries are really delicious and fresh. Despite your places to sit inside and it has usually just a young clientele. But we ran into a really friendly man with his dog and let my son play with it.

Well what can I say… I stumbled across this gem when it started pouring rain. I met the owner Robbie who was so kind and funny. He gave me some napkins to dry myself down. Tip: always carry an umbrella when you travel to NYC haha! Coffee is delicious, I had a tuna sandwich and it was on point. I visited 4 times whilst on my trip. I highly recommend this place.

Google
Truly the best coffee in New York City. Hands down. Fun and friendly staff, high quality coffees, and a friendly community of people. Can’t recommend this place more highly even if you have to go out of your way to try it. Worth it.

Google
Hands down the best vegan breakfast burrito I’ve EVER had. Hidden gem for the vegan community right here, could not recommend it more!! If you haven’t tried this place before (like me, today was my first time) you are really missing out! The hot sauce was SOOO GOOOD! thank you so much for existing!!! Update: the food is also consistent!!!!!! Had another burrito yesterday and it was just as delicious!

Google
small local coffee spot in the Alphabets. coffee menu + pastries and more if you are hungry. there’s seating on one side of the case plus outside. got an Americano —it was fine and hit the spot on a chilly day. staff is courteous. worth a stop if you’re in the neighb…or if you are one of those laptop-coffee shop people who don’t own a table or desk

I've been a 12 year resident on 12th street, and was delighted to find out a coffee shop opened mid block, mid pandemic! Robbie, Milos, Michaela and the team are such a bright spot in the morning. You really feel like they're part of the fabric of the neighborhood. Oh, and the coffee is excellent. Cappuccinos done right: bold, rich, flavorful espresso, and just the right amount of milk. Some fun conversation and a smile also makes it all taste that much better!

Google
Highly recommend! Great vibe and selections! 🥰✌🏼 The owner is super sweet and has a fantastic energy! It’s a local spot, so make sure to come support. Great for hanging with a friend, grabbing something on the go or sitting for work/study. Will come back again 🌞. Cheers!

Google
I really like this place. Good coffee, the interior is spacious and welcoming, there’s free wi fi, and the staff is always friendly. It’s a great place to work From. However, food options are limited and the pastries, while nice, are sub par compared to the many great options in the area. I also wish they didn’t close so early (4 pm).

Yelp
Cody and Spencer are excellent baristas and super friendly, accommodating and knowledgable on vegan and non-vegan options at the cafe. I've been a customer here for 2 years now and love their vegan sandwiches and delicious matcha and coffee! The ambiance is very relaxing and perfect for anybody who wants to enjoy their day!

Yelp
The shop has plenty of seating for people to sit and work. It's laptop friendly which is pretty rare for NYC! The ambiance is dark and wooden. Kinda felt like I was deep in a forest. The barista was very nice! He brought my latte to me and let me run to the bathroom after they started closing. He was very friendly and warm. The Golden Latte was a basically a latte with turmeric. I didn't think it was anything crazy, but I enjoyed it.

Yelp
Iced latte was pretty good. Service was average, not friendly. Decent amount of seating inside/ outside

Holly L.

Yelp
Great customer service! Can't wait to try their other food and drink items. Personally, out of their sandwich options that I've tried so far, I like their croissant sandwiches the most, especially once you toasted it.

Yelp
Not crowded, awesome vibes. And places to sit and a washroom and free water :) I had a cold brew which was less sour than most cafés I visited in the city, but I still had to neutralise it with milk. There are also outdoor seatings where one can enjoy if the weather is nice.

Yelp
Super friendly cafe off of avenue A. The barista is fast and patient with customers. The coffee itself was amazing very smooth and tasty. They offer lots of pastries and some other made to order items. Vegan options too. It is dog friendly and has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Although the place was already very crowded by 9am on a weekday. I hope to return again for more delicious coffee.

Yelp
An amazing neighborhood business that is worth going out of your way to. Perfectly curated pastry selection and sandwich menu (something for everyone, and it's all delicious) and the coffee is consistently excellent. Such warm and friendly staff, and Robbie (the owner) ensures that every aspect of your experience is perfect, whether you are taking a drink to go, sitting outside for lunch, or working remotely. Can't recommend this place highly enough, they are worth your time and I highly encourage you to give them your business :)

Yelp
My 2nd time here. It's a nice quaint place with fabulous coffee. Although the espresso is definitely medium roast, it's still amazing that Ana... (unique name) made me White Flat, an Australian favorite.... I definitely like the feel and ambiance of the place. If you will compare it to Turkish mud coffee, it's weak. I like the muddy strong coffee when it comes to flavor. The place and selections make the All The Kings Horses Cafe a hidden gem. Great place to relax!

Yelp
This new cafe is in the former spot of "Ciao For Now" on East 12th Street. This block has been missing a coffee and pastry place for some time and glad a new spot has opened. It sells different types of coffees and very yummy pastries. In the future, this place will sell meals which I'm looking forward to. Review: The food and drinks are good and friendly service. Robbie, the owner, is present and friendly. The thyme cheddar biscuit is very good. I had both the espresso and the Golden Latte. Both are approved as my Go-tos! Check this place out yourself and be a fan like I am.

Yelp
The Best! This is our daily coffee stop on the way to or from the park, and the coffee has never been disappointing. Robby goes out of his way to make it easy for us to stop in and grab a much needed coffee, and always brings it out so I don't have to take the kids indoors. There's always time to give a quick fist pump to the kids too. Friendly, efficient and above all, great coffee! Can't recommend this place enough!!
google avatar

Jessie M.

Yelp
Best coffee shop in Manhattan! Robby gives the place such a welcoming vibe with his sensational energy and makes you feel right at home. This shop truly makes my morning. The lattes are made to order and always freshly brewed, with impressive timing. You could be in and out within 2 minutes, but trust me, you won't even want to leave. I had the vegan chocolate croissant and it was too good to be true. And of course a vanilla latte with almond milk. Yum yum yum 11/10

Bella S.

Yelp
large space, latte was just ok, barista was very friendly! the sweets and treats were from various nyc shops and were just okay (would not recommend the cheddar scone). wouldn't recommend against going here just to try though!

Yelp
My partner and I live across the street and stop in for coffee nearly every morning. They have all the goodies, great coffee and espresso drinks, sandwiches to grab and go, pastries and juices! It's a great place to have your morning coffee outside with friends and there's space to sit down and get some work done. Robbie, the owner, has created such a kind and welcoming space. Genuinely the best coffee spot in the neighborhood!

Nadia M.

Yelp
Super cute café with great coffee and pastries. Very neighborhoody vibe and the owner is so friendly.

Yelp
Great coffee with a fantastic workspace. The owners are incredibly friendly and love to share information about the coffee and food. Gluten free options available. Baked good are Not CELIAC friendly, but there are bottled smoothies.

Yelp
Favorite coffee in the East Village. Flat white will blow your mind. Robbie is also so personable- he creates a neighborhood feel and will know your name and remember your order. Also, a great space to bring your laptop and work.

Yelp
Just moved into the neighborhood and got extremely lucky that this gem was just around the corner! I'm going to be honest, not only are Robbie and his team extremely kind and warm, but their product is incredible! I was a barista for 4 years at some of couple the best specialty coffee shops on the West Coast and ATKHC's standards I can say go beyond that. Probably one if not the best places to get coffee in NY hands down. So grateful always to come here.

Maria Elena P.

Yelp
This place is an absolute must try!! There's a lot of cafes in the area, but this one definitely stands out! The coffee is amazing (one of the best quality ones I've had), and the service is even better. Robbie's so nice and welcoming - my friend wanted a tea that's not in season yet but he brewed her one on the spot anyway! If you're thinking about going, trust me you won't regret it - this is definitely my new staple coffee shop. P.S. I highly recommend the oat milk latte, it's truly next level - I'm definitely hooked!

Yelp
I live right by this place & I love coming here for a cup of coffee in the morning! I also love their chai lattes & vegan options. Their vegan broccoli & cheddar soup, vegan crossaints, and sandwiches have all been super good!

Sophie G.

Yelp
I love this cafe! Awesome spot to get some work done during the day. The coffee is great and the staff is welcoming. A must try (and frequent) in the East Village!

Yelp
All the King's Horses Cafe you are absolutely awesome, I had a lovely experience here yesterday. The menu is impressive, I was overwhelmed with the choices. Every single thing that we have purchased was extra fresh and yummy. They are very clean and the workers were super welcoming. All the King's Horses Cafe, I love it so much.

Yelp
I love this place! I wondered in for coffee and have since gotten hooked on their biscuits, soups and pastries. The soups got me through winter. The actual place is lovely and on a cute block. The owner and his staff are utterly delightful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
BEST COFFEE, & even BETTER service! The atmosphere is exactly what all cafe's should model after. All smiles, easy going, friendly environment that serves made to order coffee for each individuals desire! Six stars!!!!

Holly L.

Yelp
This cafe needs more 5 star reviews! I have tried many food items and drinks here and they're all delicious! The owner can really cook! & he's very friendly. I honestly believe hospitality is his middle name I would consider this cafe a "come here for coffee but stay for the food" and "hole-in-the-wall" cafe. I have tried their latte, dirty chai latte, dirty matcha latte, hot chocolate, kale lentil baguettes, broccoli cheddar soup, chicken noodle soup, everything seasoning biscuit, cheddar biscuits and Danish pastry so far and I really liked the biscuits, kale lentil baguettes, soups, dirty chai latte and Danish pastry. For the dirty chai latte, ratio of chai to espresso to milk was . Biscuits are flavorful and just fills your mouth with its deliciousness! Easy to bite into and adds a nice finish to any meal soups are definitely a must-try here. Not too watery and not too chunky. Very filling and wholesome! Kale lentil baguettes are definitely a nice addition to the cafe...and to my stomach . The sauce complimented the ingredients and it was just the right amount. It's hot when chefs knows what sauce to use to compliment the ingredients and what amount. The lentil burger patty wasn't thin either. One bite and you'll be able to taste all the ingredients of the sandwich The Danish pastry was delicious and its mild sweetness balanced with its mild cheese flavor. I liked the fact that after I finished it, the sweetness doesn't linger. In addition, the filling is thick. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their menu and hopefully I'll remember to update this So if you have time, you should definitely check this cafe out! It's worth it and the staffs are very nice! I promise

Mel T.

Yelp
Fantastic place - excellent coffee and pastries; plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Also a nice selection of sandwiches and juices
google avatar

Yelp
I came for the coffee and left in hot soup. My mom used to make great lentil soup. Until I tried ATKH's, wow. Next level! The coffee is great, very appropriate for an east village strong cup. And has decadent pastries from Balthazar and beyond, but this place is a secret soup destination. If you have a chance get the "Italian wedding" it' will make you get down on one knee!

Abby W.

Yelp
Great coffee, great snacks including vegan options and most importantly, GREAT STAFF!!!! Amazing EV joint!!

Yelp
Always reference this spot when visitors come into town! Not only are the owner and staff super friendly, but richly good coffee and tasty bites. They add some cocoa powder to the top of lattes which is my fave.

kayla S.

Yelp
I am not a NYC resident but I do love to visit the city! New York has a lot of cafes that are great but this one in specific just meets all the criteria of an ideal coffee shop. Soothing music? Check! Cute decor? Check! Delicious pastries and lattes? CHECKKK!

Thea E.

Yelp
I couldn't be more delighted to have this coffee shop open up in the neighborhood! Robbie, the owner, is such a gem of a human being ... with drinks and pastries to match :) I had a chai latte, cheddar chive biscuit, and glazed matcha doughnut-cake. All were top notch! Thank you for making my morning, Robbie! I can't wait to be back :)

Wei W.

Yelp
I do love an occasional cup of coffee even though I'm not a coffee drinker for health reasons. I thoroughly enjoyed the deliciously smooth flat white that was cut for lightness for the occasional coffee drinker like me as I sat out front at All the King's Horses yesterday where I enjoyed a quiet East Village afternoon and a phone conversation with a friend. The owner was friendly and invited me to stay even as he was closing shop for a meeting. How refreshing to find a relaxing laid back spot in this fast paced city! I'm thankful for my coffee moment and looking forward to stop in again for my usual cup of tea :)

Yelp
From the coffee capital of Australia (G-town, represent!) comes this newcomer in Alphabet City. Robbie, the owner, knows how to build a successful cafe (Google King of The Castle Geelong if you're looking for proof). You gotta give a bloke who opens a business during a global pandemic some massive respect. Go visit him, have a yarn and a coffee and you will want to come back for more.

Camila A.

Yelp
I am a coffee enthusiast and when I tell you this is the best coffee in NYC it's because it is. I have gone to many different coffee shops in the neighborhood and none compare to the quality, vibes, and overall good experience I have had every time I come in here.

Jerry P.

Yelp
Best coffee in this part of the east village now. The owner is really nice. Fast service. Glad they opened up - there wasn't anything good around here. Interested to see how they expand once indoor seating is safe again. hope they opt for cozy and relaxing to match the charming old world space.

Joe M.

Yelp
Really cute spot with excellent customer service. Looking forward to post-covid times when we can hang out inside as well.

Waner L.

Yelp
Great coffee and atmosphere! Robbie is fantastic and the coffee is as amazing. The pastries are wonderful as well, especially the savory biscuits.

Hayaa H.

Yelp
such a great coffee place!! so happy i stumbled up on it while walking around in the area. i got a vanilla oat milk latte and it was so flavorful. the owner was super sweet and brought out drinks to us. the vibe inside was immaculate and i 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a cute quiet coffee place!!
