Where to Chomp on Italian Beef Sandwiches in Chicago

"A new Lincoln Park deli and market debuted earlier this year, offering prepared foods, grab-and-go items, dips and spreads, and more. Owner Mitchell Abou Jamra, who also runs All Too Well’s neighboring restaurant Evette’s, pays tribute to his family and upbringing through a lineup of delectable sandwiches. The “Sheffield & Westwood” (named after streets Abou Jamra and his grandparents have lived on) is a Lebanese-influenced Italian beef that gets elevated with sumac giardiniera and crumbled pieces of ground beef kafta. It’s dipped in jus to finish. Online ordering is available here." - Eater Staff, Ashok Selvam

$20 for a sandwich and chips…I had the Bombay chulet, and they skimped on all the good / unique ingredients so I couldn’t really taste them (garlic mayo, spicy fig jam, chilli crunch). Even worse, I found a long hair in my sandwich halfway through finishing it. Upon sharing this with the staff, they asked me “what do you want?” No offer for any kind of refund or remediation from them, so I offered the option of an extra bag of chips. Felt like they couldn’t care less. Overall a really bad experience, which is a shame for a cute neighborhood sandwich shop. I won’t be back.

Google
Really good sandwich restaurant. CK1 was super delicious, au jus was also awesome. Tons of flavor and not your average roast beef sandwich for sure. Wish they would add a *little* more meat but portions are good. Interior of the restaurant is nicely setup, although not super big so finding a spot might not be the easiest. Friendly staff and clean environment. Prices are about average. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely recommend for a nice sandwich in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Google
We got the “I make you lamb” and the “CK1” CK 1 was unique with the tabouli, but closer to your typical Chicago style Italian beef. The I make you lamb, bread, pickled onions, cheese and sauce were delicious. But unfortunately, the lamb was severely overcooked. You couldn’t even chew it further, you had to just swallow what you could. I had to take it completely out of the sandwich. For $16, it totally missed the mark. Lamb should be soft, tender and barely need chewing- but at least be able to be chewed when necessary. Staff was really nice. Location is cute, either way decent inside seating.

Google
I usually don’t leave reviews but All Too Well was really really good! The service was great, super welcoming and kind. Also, I got the Bombay Chulet which was a great portion sizes for one person or even two people who aren’t starving. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was delicious. Also, there is a huge variety of unique combinations for the sandwiches. Will definitely be coming back.

Google
Stopped in today for lunch and so glad I did! The sandwiches offer creative combos of ingredients that most of us wouldn’t come to on our own. I had the Bombay Chulet, which was a combo of turkey, prosciutto, fig jam, and a couple other things, and it was delicious and came out in under five minutes. A few things to be aware of— not critiques, just may not be what you expect: - They had a sign up at the register noting no modifications or substitutions, so be prepared to accept their sandwich combos as-is - It’s a fairly small space with just a few communal picnic tables inside - Besides the names of the sandwiches, there is no real evidence of the TSwift theme (it’s not like she’s plastered everywhere)

Google
Okay this place is amazing. It’s all in the name! I got a Ruben and it was phenomenal. The ingredients taste so fresh and it was the perfect size. Staff was super sweet and the aroma of the place was cozy. Will be returning 100%!

Google
Fantastic little sandwich shoppe that now has a very well deserved spot on my 4.7+ > 100 Reviews list for Illinois. Unique and delicious sandwiches you won't find anywhere else. I got the CK1 the Bombay Chulet and loved both. I will definitely be back.

Google
My friends and I went today to grab sandwiches and eat by the lake. After each paying $17 + $4 in tip we asked the man that gave us our sandwiches for a small bag. He rudely rolled his eyes and gave us a bag. Then our friend asked for a bag politely and the man said “who needs handles to hold a sandwich”. At first thought he was joking but he clearly was upset we have asked for a bag to carry our sandwiches to the lake. The lady at the front was very nice but the man in the back needs to find a new career if asking for a bag bothers him so much. Sandwich was good but I’ll be taking my business across the street to people that are actually nice.

Yelp
Had the cousins sandwich plus turkey on gluten-free bread! This was truly one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. More like a gluten free flatbread -- it was epic. This will be part of of my weekly rotation 100%.
google avatar

Marcy B.

Yelp
Went back and they had the gluten free flat bread. Best sandwiches in city. And for non gluten free people, the breads are terrific.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried these Sammie's and they were def tasty. We went with: - Bombay Chulet - I Make You Lamb They were both good, the lamb def had the edge but it was a bit greasy so the chulet was the lower cal of the two. Good portion, pricey but typical for fancy Chicago sandwiches. Overall we would come back but wouldn't go out of the way for it.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by over the weekend to grab a bite before a stroll through Lincoln Park. Most people ordered for takeout, but there are some seating options inside the shop. My friend and I both got the Bombay Chulet which was so flavorful and unique. I loved the sweet, salty, and spicy flavors wrapped into each bite. I came here for the nod to T. Swift, but I'll be returning for the sandwiches :D

Yelp
This is 10/10 best sandwich I've ever had, this is my new favorite I got the I make you Lamb, the lamb and chimichurri melts in your mouth and the hints of the whipped feta combined with the provolone for texture these sandwiches are pure poetry, the food came out really quick and the cashier was extremely nice. I love that it has a sign that says no substitutes or mods they know how to make a sandwich why mess it up it's a cute little shop with good decor can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Blake K.

Yelp
Really delicious sandwiches, pretty overpriced in my opinion. They're delicious though and in a prime spot. The CK1 (steak sandwich) is unreal, I had to come back and get it again. The turkey sandwich was great too, you can't go wrong.

Yelp
I had been eyeing this place and saving it for when my Taylor swift fan friends visiting and I wish I came here sooner because it was AMAZING! The interior is pretty small and low key - you order at a counter and there are picnic table and small circular tables to sit at. The food came out so fast. It's the perfect casual space for stopping in for lunch. I also really appreciate how large their water station is - some restaurants make it difficult to stay hydrated and I appreciate that they are prepared! I got the Artie B's (prosciutto, salami, marinara, pesto among other things), my friends got the "oh yeah" sandwich of the day (capricola, Turkey, burrata, lettuce, banana peppers, etc) and the Bombay chalet (turkey, aoli, spicy fig jam, chili crunch, arugula, etc). We tried each others and absolutely loved them all. The bread and ingredients were super fresh on everything and all the flavors perfectly balanced. We agreed the oh yeah had the best balance of freshness and the Bombay chalet had the best sauce. Everything was incredible I will absolutely be coming back because I want to try everything on the menu.

Yelp
Got out of an afternoon showing at the Music Box and a sandwich sounded really good but everything on Southport was full already so I convinced my 5 friends to take a Sunday drive over to Lincoln Park so they could give All Too Well and/or Evette's a try. I had tried their Sheffield and Westwood sandwich before and liked it and I remembered they had a pretty big menu so I had a feeling they would probably have something for everyone. The hunch paid off. Each person was able to find something that sounded good to them and they all liked what they ordered. I had trouble deciding between the Bombay Chulet and the I Make You Lamb but luckily one of my friends was kind enough to suggest we order both to share. Just as I finished putting in my order for the lamb with the friendly cashier they called up someone to grab theirs and I was immediately excited by how tasty they looked. There was a good amount of seating available inside and outside if we split up our group but we decided that since it was a nice day we would hoof it over to the park which is a very short walk away to enjoy our lunch there. We sat on the benches and unwrapped our sandwiches and I was greeted with a lovely aroma. I can say without hesitation that the I Make You Lamb is one of the best hot sandwiches I've had in some time. The seasonings on the shredded lamb go great with the whipped feta, chimichurri, and onions. It was so good I felt the need to break off little bits so that my friends could all get a sample. The Bombay Chulet was good too with its spicy fig jam, turkey and prosciutto. Others in our group ordered the Tatanka(Buffalo chicken), Brothers(veggie option), the Boatwich and even falafel wrap from Evette's and everyone really enjoyed their choice. The menu is a little on the expensive side but if it's a quality sandwich with creative touches in terms of flavoring then you have to give All Too Well a try.
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
Sandwiches were good but nothing spectacular. While I did enjoy them these things are expensive. Tis basically $15 per sandwich. The menu sounds extremely intriguing however the fog in the turkey sandwich was muted as was the buffalo chicken sandwich. ''Twas still good but I just expected a more bold burst from both sandwiches based solely off the descriptions. I'd be confident at ranking them amongst the best but not grail status as of yet.
google avatar

Ishani B.

Yelp
The name is a coincidence to the Taylor Swift song but it definitely creates a great vibe. I tried the week special which was amazing and my friend tried the CK1 which used to stand for Catching Kelce :) The sandwiches were fresh and made to order. The take the order and get it to where you're seated since you maybe sitting in the middle of the bench.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Found this place after walking along the lake - needed a quick bite, and this place was highly rated. It lives up to its reputation - quick service, nice tables to sit and eat. I went with the Bombay Chulet, which I highly recommend others try. Just the right amount of kick, quality meats! The bread was perfectly toasted. A must stop when in Lincoln Park! Swiftie friendly place as well
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! We found this place through reviewers on Instagram and I'm obsessed. We drove over and were able to find a parking spot on the street but it's also on the bus route. We ordered ahead so we weren't interacting with the staff to comment on the service. The interior was bright, open and beautiful. We did takeout and heated our sandwiches at home. I got the Tatanka and my partner got the Bombay chalet. We liked both so much that we split them! Cannot wait to go back and also to try Evette's!!
google avatar

Sayuri A.

Yelp
incredible sandwich!!! I want to come back and try everything!! i love how fresh everything tastes & the bread is crispy and perfect and everything you'd want. you go up to the counter to order and then they'll bring out your food to you, and our server was really nice. Cute little lunch spot, would highly recommend. hope tswift comes to check it out sometime :-)
google avatar

Sarina Z.

Yelp
I was excited to try their popular lamb sandwich but they were sold out around noon :( We ended getting the Bombay Chulet and T & Bree sandwiches and both were really good! I like the subtle additions they add to their sandwiches, like fig jam and chili crunch. The portions are on the smaller side, but definitely enough to feel full. The line moves slowly but food comes out fairly quickly.

Yelp
Our visit to All Too Well Sandwich Cafe was a delightful follow-up to our trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo. We arrived, quite hungry from our zoo adventure, and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service at the cafe was notably welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The restaurant was empty when we went (went at a weird time), and the server chatted with us about Chicago neighborhoods and where to explore. The menu offered a range of options, and our selections did not disappoint. The sandwhich was great! I also loved the parmesan potato chips :) In a nutshell, All Too Well Sandwich Cafe provided the perfect end to our day. We appreciated the warm service and the delicious food. If you find yourself in the area and in need of a tasty meal, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
TAYLOR SWIFT THEMED SANDWICH SHOP in Lincoln Park! Delicious and fast homemade sandwich. And I love supporting a swiftie
google avatar

Yelp
It was a steaming hot day and we decided to get take-out as to avoid any in-door cooking so decided on take-out from All Too Well. We had the Bombay Chulet and the Niff Jen sandwiches. They were very tasty and both had a very unique flavor. Loved the spicy fig jam and the chili crunch on the Bombay Chulet. While we did get take-out we did pick-up and loved the atmosphere of the shop. Very cozy and friendly. My only challenge was the price. I don't mind paying for high quality at a local spot but $14 each was above my threshold for a sandwich of average size. Will be back to try again but won't be a regular stop.

Ben W.

Yelp
Really really want to love this place since all my friends are obsessed with it and eat here frequently, but as a vegetarian there is only one option (out of 11 sandwiches!). Since I happen to dislike both feta and babaganoush, two of the sandwich's ingredients, there's nothing for me. I know Chicago is a strong carnivore town but folks, the environment needs us to do better! Having 2-3 veggie options doesn't seem like too much to ask
google avatar

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Came here on a whim since the place we were originally going to go to didn't have dine in. Inside is not too big, two big benches and two small round tables with two chairs each. I ordered the boatwich ($12) and my fiancé got the Bombay Chulet ($14). I thought mine was pretty good! I enjoyed the tomato focaccia bread very much. The Bombay chulet was decent - says there's a spicy fig jam and chili crunch but didn't have any type of spice to it at all which was a bummer. Knocked out a star because it's pretty expensive for a sandwich with no sides. Similarly to tempesta market but that at least includes either chips or fruit with the sandwich order. Plenty of free street parking around and a good spot if you're in the LP area!
google avatar

Alexa W.

Yelp
I can't stress enough that this was the BEST SANDWICH I've ever had. The fig jam!! Chefs kiss!! Plus the atmosphere and Taylor Swift references were excellent.
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
As a Taylor Swift fan, I was excited to check out All Too Well and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Our group ordered the Pretty Salad, Tatanka (monthly special), Boatwich, and I make you lamb sandwiches and we were all impressed! The menu wasn't overwhelming but there were still options with all different types of meat, as well as vegetarian options. Despite it being busy, the service and wait time was great as well.
google avatar

Ritti T.

Yelp
I order from this place as a late lunch and all I can say is wow. I got the Bombay chalet for delivery on Uber eats. This was probably the best sandwich I ever had. They made it so fast and delivered it so fast that the sandwich was still hot. The spicy fig jam with the aioli and chili crunch just too the meats over the top. Definitely will be back to try the other sandwiches although I'm still craving the Bombay one again!

Reagan P.

Yelp
Came here because I wanted to try a new sandwich place and the menu looked great. So I came in with my boyfriend and as we're ordering our sandwich's we're asking if we can add basic toppings lettuce and tomatoes and asking if we can sub a few toppings to our liking. I believe it was the owner who was taking our order gave us attitude for no reason stating that we can't make changes to our order and that what we want to order they do not make. So as we proceed to say Nevermind we will take it as is just so it's not an issue because we still really wanted to try the sandwiches. Then he gets an attitude and say you know what you can get them the way you like and it'll be free because I'm sure you won't like the sandwich. Just really uncalled for, even if I didn't like like sandwich I would never ask for a refund. While waiting for our food he was just being sarcastic and rude. Update to us trying the food it was AMAZING! I hate that we had to experience it for the first time in this way. I feel you should be able to customize your food to your liking.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
I had the I make you Lamb and it was yummy! However, It is an expensive sandwich for $14 with no sides, but it did make me full. If you have a large tummy though... I love that on the website there are backgrounds for the names of the sandwiches! It's something fun to read while you wait for your food :)
google avatar

Velina M.

Yelp
Definitely not my spot! Great atmosphere, nice, clean and nicely decorated place but the food was DISAPPOINTING. First of all do NOT go there if you are vegan. There is only one option for vegetarians and one pescatarian option if you REMOVE the bacon. My Michigan sandwich just tasted wrong. Heads up whitefish, red onion and dill gremolata do not go together... I was hungry and I had only half of it which explains why I'm giving them only 2 stars. My bf taught that the Boatwitch was okay but he would not go there again. As a non meat eater I struggled finding anything to eat but I assume that for someone that enjoys it it will be a lot easier. Again, would NOT go there again. I think it was overpriced for a sandwich $12-15 for sandwich that aren't special seems like too much. Let me know what you guys think.
google avatar

Rie U.

Yelp
I've been made lamb. Cute little sandwichery (sandwich bar? Hoagery?) featuring Mediterranean flavors right in Lincoln Park. I ordered the I Make You Lamb which is a ciabatta panini featuring shredded lamb with whipped feta, pepper jack, chimichuri, pineapple and fried onions... Mmm. The shredded lamb was tender and flavorful without being too greasy or heavy. The chimichuri gave the panini a nice tangy and garlicky flavor, which I just loved! It's too bad they don't serve beer here bc that would've been a perfect lunch. I definitely felt satiated (physically and emotionally) after eating just half the sandwich; can't wait to eat the leftovers! They have a little eat-in area but seemed like most customers who came in while we were there were picking up their order to go. I'll definitely be back to try their bbq pork sandwich of the month!
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
It's not a big place and parking can be an issue, but the food is good. They had lots of fun sandwich options. It was pretty easy for everyone to find something they liked. The service was quick. Know before you go...they only take cards with a chip. No cash, no slide, and no tap when we went.

Yelp
We are huge fans of Evette's so when they opened up a deli next door we were ALL in. We first went on their soft opening day and got The Niff Jen, Cin's Eden, Boatwich, and Cousins for the 4 of us. If you like chicken salad, you must try Cin's Eden. All 4 sandwiches were amazing, literally so much flavor and so unique. We also got the baba ganoush which was so smooth and delicious. We went back this weekend for more and got the Deli Smoke and T & Bree. I was expecting to like the T & Bree the most but the Deli Smoke's slaw and garlic mayo was SO good that it ended up becoming a new fav. I am so happy for the Evette's/All Too Well crew and thankful they opened another neighborhood gem and excited to try more of their amazing food!
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
This is by far the best sandwich shop I've ever been to. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The buffalo chicken sandwich really is everything
google avatar

Jake Q.

Yelp
Great Sandwiches that aren't your run of mill. quick and easy pickup. Friendly service and a cool vibe.

Yelp
I had the - I make you lamb sandwich, so damn good! Everything works so well together, chef's kiss!!

Yelp
Fast Service Nice people Good food Why wouldn't you want to come here 10/10 recommend
google avatar

Kyleigh S.

Yelp
A small menu but they do it well! I enjoyed my food and it's the perfect spot to stop after a morning trip to the Lincoln park farmers market!
google avatar

Tiffany O.

Yelp
I had the delicious joy of visiting All Too Well this morning during their first day / soft opening. If you've eaten at their other location Evette's next door, then you're already familiar with their delicious, unique flavor combinations. If not, you're in for a treat, and you need to try Evette's as well. For their soft opening they were only serving the sandwich portion of their menu. My husband got the ...I make you Lamb and I got the Cousins. We were both blown away by the flavor bomb! In addition to their menu they also have market items ranging from their homemade baba ganoush and pimento dip to different meats, cheeses, crisps, salsas, and candies. We bought some of their homemade Pub Snack Mix and it's yummy even without a beer! Wishing them much success and we can't wait to try more!
google avatar

Phoenix W.

Yelp
Yummy! The fig n Brie dip was as good as the reviews said it would be. Had the Bombay and it was BOMBAAAAYYYY!!!
google avatar

Kendra M.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! I looove Evette's, so I knew this new spot would not miss. The menu might read like classic deli sandwiches, but I promise they are not. Everything has that Lebanese fusion twist that makes it so unique. I had the Cin's Eden - it was chicken salad but made with shawarma chicken, on a tomato focaccia. It was DIVINE. And super duper filling. The location also has a little market of chips, dips, candy, etc that you can buy and bring home. And, they offer a punch card - if you try every sandwich on the menu, you get one free! Very great addition to the neighborhood!
google avatar

Bee R.

Yelp
Cute fast casual joint with surprisingly solid sandwiches. The whipped brie is a tasty take home treat. I'll be popping in again soon and you should too!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Not just a regular sandwich, these sandwiches are AMAZING! I had the Niff-Jen and asked for the pomegranate mustard seeds on the side because I was leery but they know what they are doing, they are incredible! I will def be coming back to try everything! The staff was friendly and the place was very clean.

Shelby G.

Yelp
Fantastic spot to grab a quick and fresh lunch. Service was friendly and loved the table side hot honey.
google avatar

Tracy Y.

Yelp
Really good sandwich place in the neighborhood. My go-to is the Del Smoke. The sandwich of the month is always great too! It's become a monthly staple for lunch. Can't wait to finish trying the menu!
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
In the era of the $15 sandwich this one of the few places that I would say it is completely worth every penny. I had the Bombay Chulet and found it very unique and delicious. Looking forward to trying another one another day. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Steph J.

Yelp
Food: Great Service: Great Incredible sandwhiches? Check! Speedy Service? Double Check? Adorable ambiance? Triple check! We came here on a Saturday as a group of 4 and all tried different sandwhiches. I got the I Make You Lamb and WOWZA was it perfection. The lab was perfectly done, the feta added the perfect flavor, and pineapple was a surprising flavor that added the perfect sweetness without needing its own moment. Would (and will) definitely order again. Also - shout out to the delicious Kombuchas they had with no added sugar. Love to see that!
google avatar

Sophie C.

Yelp
Super unique sandwiches with fantastic sauces and great bread. T & Bree is a blast of flavor and Sheffield & Westwood is a Chicago classic. The Kefta crumble adds a unique twist on your classic Italian beef sandwich. Definitely a place to split/mix and match sandwiches.
google avatar

Rick F.

Yelp
Pretty good sandwiches but very expensive. $35 for two sandwiches, one bag of chips and one can of pop. The sandwiches were good but nothing over the top or extravagant. Menu prices also aren't accurate - one said it was $13, rang up $16. No offense, but for $16 you can go get a burger and fries at most places instead of a gourmet turkey sandwich. Glad I tried but not going out of my way to come back.
google avatar

Morgan P.

Yelp
great sandwhich shop we walked about 35 mins here and then back and it was well worth it! the pesto sandwhich wasn't my favorite but that's probably because i ordered wrong because my friend got the boat which which was AMAZING. i'd say don't get the pesto with prosciutto unless you really love both those two and the bread was tough as well but again probably just ordered wrong everything else was great and the service was awesome
google avatar

Lynn N.

Yelp
We needed some lunch after a morning at the zoo and saw that All Too Well was within walking distance and had a good rating on Yelp. We are so happy we decided to stop in here. I got the Dr. Dre bowl which was absolutely delicious and light. I was a huge fan of the beet pesto and loved the entire dish. My friends got sandwiches and were also very happy with their selections. We were all very happy with the portion sizes and the flavors of our meals and would definitely recommend this place in the future.

Yelp
Ahh! This used to be a Subway remember that? This is from the owner of Evette's which is next door. They serve Lebanese food just like Evette's but with deli items. Sandwiches start at $13. Staff and service is very good.

Rene R.

Yelp
Sandwiches are very good. Lots of filling. Ratio of bread to food is perfect. Really liked the Taylor sandwich. Please make it a menu item. Call it something else if needed.

John W.

Yelp
Sandwiches are fantastic. I am a bit confused as to the price as three sandwiches, two bags of chips, and three drinks totaled $78 with the tip. Not sure how the cost was this high given the menu prices. Maybe just stick to sandwiches if going here as I have to assume chips and drinks are $5 each.

Megan P.

Yelp
Walked here from the zoo and stumbled upon a great spot! Sadly wasn't in the mood for a sandwich, but I got the pretty salad and it was great! The staff was extremely friendly and personable. Can't wait to go back to try more.
