Preface: came towards closing hours
Starting off, the store was nice and well designed. I loved seeing all the fresh ingredients in front of us, from the whole meats before being freshly sliced (which is also in front of you) to the cheeses, creams, and vegetables. Very modern but homey design. Service was okay nothing special.
Onto the food, their most popular sandwiches were la favolosa and the la paradiso.
Both sandwiches were great and complex in flavor, in which I did not expect or experienced prior. Looking at the favolosa, after getting hit with the crunchy exterior of the bread, you're instantly hit with the strong flavor of the salami, followed by the rich flavor pecorino and artichoke creams. The eggplant's flavor is light and nice, not overbearing.
La paradiso was my favorite of the two. For me, the pistachio cream was the star of the show, really having a strong kick with the best of the bites. Certain parts were really nice, where the cream soaked into the bread, but some were a little masked. I will say, more mortadella would have been nice given the light flavor it already has. The cream is really good, maybe a bit more would really bring the sandwich out a little more. As for the cheese, it's also very light, where it adds a textural component more than flavor.
For both sandwiches, I believe the things I would like to see is warmer fresher bread, or atleast reheated bread. Granted I did come towards the end, but that would have definitely elevated the sandwiches, along with a thin layer of soft, warm bread. Also, some type of layer of green, such as baby arugula would really make both sandwiches more balanced, without taking away from the flavor as a whole
