The sandwich was good, but didn’t meet the high expectations I had from the hype. I had the La Paradiso and the bread was very good but I was looking for more flavor all around. I was surprised to find out only 1 meat per sandwich which is different than what online ordering shows. I’ll likely be back for a different sandwich but won’t go out of my way for it.

Sadly, this restaurant was a complete disappointment. In a city with amazing sandwich shops, this is clearly not one of them. There were two main problems with the sandwiches. The first was that the bread was extremely tough and hard to eat…nat all what one would think an Italian focaccia style bread would be. I don’t know if it was because the dough was overworked, or if the bread was just old, but either way the bread was completely unenjoyable. The second problem is that the spreads they use are very potent. This is not in itself a problem, but it becomes a problem when it is not applied evenly across the sandwich. There were large globes in certain areas and none whatsoever in others. I’m sure if there was a thin layer across the entire sandwich. It would’ve been much more enjoyable, but the way it was presented on both sandwiches made the flavor way too strong in certain areas. For a restaurant that has so many positive reviews. I was really expecting better. When you pay over $45 for two sandwiches, you have an expectation that they will be edible and enjoyable. These two were not. Unfortunately, we took our order to go and did not find the problem until we got back to the hotel. Lesson learned, we will not be back. This review is specifically for the lLberty Street location.

After trying the world-famous All’Antico Vinaio in Florence, I was hyped to learn that a new location was coming to Brookfield Place. I was skeptical at first, but once I took my first bite, it brought back wonderful memories. I ordered the La Paradiso, but I swapped the mortadella with ham and added arugula. The sandwich also comes with tomatoes, pistachio cream, and a creamy burrata-like cheese. The flavor was fresh and vibrant - well crafted and balanced. The bread itself was also great - crispy and soft. The location is great too - if you’re taking the ferry from Jersey City, I would highly recommend stopping by this place and grabbing a sandwich. It’s huge. And will likely keep you full for most of the day.

I’ve been to All’Antico Vinaio in New York and three times in Los Angeles — and it’s official: this is a disgrace. A total scam hiding behind the name of Italian tradition. Cheap ingredients, dry bread, tasteless fillings — and outrageous prices on top of it. Nothing authentic, nothing even decent. It’s an insult to real Italian food. Shameful. Never again.

Absolutely nothing special except it’s a v large sandwich, which they don’t cut so not the easiest to eat. Basic caprese, some oil, no vinegar offered. Do not toast them because the bread is warm 🤷🏼‍♀️ (sort of).

This restaurant stands as a standout option. Staff provide efficient service with a personal approach. The spot is centrally placed and our experience was fantastic. Their menu items taste better than costly alternatives. We plan to make this restaurant a regular stop.

I love All’Antico Vinaio, especially their Paradiso sandwich but this location is a disaster. The bread on the sandwich was stale and the cream in the Paradiso sandwich was bitter, almost as if it had gone bad. Super disappointing and won’t be giving my business to this location again.

Google
Absolutely delicious sandwich. I wasn’t sure what to get so I created my own: mortadella, Stracciatella, arugula, tomato. It’s a large square that they cut into two. I wish they would cut into 4 for easier eating but alas that’s not possible.

Yelp
Obsessed with this place. I lived in Florence as a teenager and I loved getting my afternoon panini. Here in the states All'Antico Vinaio delivers on the same flavor and freshness. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I like the large size of All'Antico's sandwiches, but do find them to be a bit skimpy on the fillings. My favorite sandwich is the La Caprese, but I recently tried the La Broadway which had a bit more to it in terms of fillings, but I still didn't like it much. It;s okay, I can just think of several other Italian sandwich shops I prefer over All'Antico Vinaio.

Yelp
Brought me back to when I first had this place in Italy! We shared two sandwiches and they were both delicious!

Yelp
Was shocked and super excited to find this place that I have been to in Italy before!!! I didn't think it would compare, but these sandwiches are pretty dang good. I got the La District which had sundried tomatoes, cheese, arugula and some sort of prosciutto I think--highly recommend. The bread was warm and all of the ingredients were so fresh!!! The sandwiches are the perfect lunch to take to Washington Square park on a sunny day. The service was also super quick and the staff was very friendly:)

Yelp
We stopped by the Lunchbox event at Fosun Plaza sponsored by Downtown Alliance and had the opportunity to try one of their immensely popular sandwiches at the very reasonable price of $10. Unlike many of the other lunchbox vendors, there was no line for this booth. The menu was limited to one item, and they were premade. To be honest, I am very satisfied. The ingredients were all high quality and fresh. I can't remember enjoying a cold sandwich more. Ham, cheese, dried tomatoes, fresh basil with a white dash of sauce made my day.

Yelp
So, this place is very interesting! A few weeks ago, my sister bought a sandwich (A summer) from there. I was very excited to eat it and after a couple of bites, I felt something in my mouth. I got so grossed out as I pulled out of my mouth, a few strands of long hair. I can honestly say that I almost threw up. Since then, I haven't been able to buy food from there. My sister continues to buy sandwiches from there and claims they are delicious. I however, can't passed by the place without gagging.

Yelp
Heard this was a popular chain in Italy, and it did not disappoint! I got the La Schiacciata Del Boss ($20), drawn by the prosciutto and truffle cream. It is expensive for a sandwich, but the size is ginormous, yet not cut at all. That's ok, as it made it all the more fun to devour. I usually eat a lot but even this required 2 seatings to finish. The ingredients tasted so fresh, I could not stop raving about this after. I can't wait to try more options.

Yelp
Wow, that was good! I scarfed down that sandwich, it was so tasty and the textures altogether were mouthwateringly delicious. I got the special La Regina sandwich, and I highly recommend. I actually first discovered this place in Venice and always see a line out the door, but was visiting New York and had to give it go. The experience really tastes authentically Italian and the portions are well worth the price.

Yelp
First time trying All' Antico Vinaio. I tried their popular sandwich la favolosa. The sandwich for $20 before tax. The bread was fresh. The sandwich included salame toscana, pecorino cream, artichoke cream and spicy eggplant. I would definitely go back to try their other sandwiches but not that often because it is pricey for a sandwich no matter how good.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! We got 3 sandwiches to try LA BROADWAY, THE NEW YORKER, and VENICE BEACH. My favorite was the LA BROADWAY. The crispy bread with the sweet and savory cream plus the spicy zucchini with the arugula, such a refreshing bite. You won't even miss the meat. It's nestled inside a food hall overlooking the Hudson River, great view.

Yelp
Came here on a lunch break and there was a long line but I moved pretty fast. We ordered the La Diavola and it was yummy. We've been to other locations before and quality is consistent. It's a big sandwich so $20 seems reasonable. I also split the sandwich with another person and it was perfect for lunch. Would recommend this if you're in the area!

Yelp
Tried this place in Italy and was excited when I saw construction for this at Brookfield place. Ordered my go to which is La Summer and it did not disappoint! The tomatoes were super fresh as well as the prosciutto and mozzarella. The line was quite long since it's new but it did move relatively fast. It's not much different than the line at Dig. Only minor complaint is I did ask for them to cut it in half given how huge it is, but guess they forgot amidst the lunch time rush. But I will definitely come back (even though it is more expensive than the Italy version!) but it's NYC and with all the imports I get it. 5/5 will definitely order again.

Yelp
Amazing sandwich, one of the best I've had. LOVED the Broadway but could have used a bit more pistachio cream and straciatella. Why is it so large??? This could feed 3 people. Would definitely come back and bring friends

Yelp
Had very high hopes for this place. Finally went and got their specialty sandwich--see attached pic. Although the cream and eggplant in the sandwich were delicious, there restaurant really cheaped out on the meat. Not like the advertisements at all. I could get a better sandwiches from most bodegas.

Yelp
These people are dickheads. I order a sandwich and my two year old wanted a side of mozzarella. They said they can only put it in the sandwich and not the side. Fine. I asked them to put it on top of the bread. They wouldn't. Incredible. Why would you purposefully do that?

Yelp
This location puts too little filing, there are even bites where there's no protein at all. The bread to filling ratio is 5:1 in each bite and just not worth the price point.
