Went here the last couple days of September. The park was practically empty. We have been here very briefly before and it was very rainy. This time the weather was perfect. The trails are great and the RV camping was awesome.

I went here over the weekend to hike the Minister Creek Trail/North Loop (not sure what's it called), but it was pretty fun. The weather was great and we camped by the nearby stream 3 miles in. The trail we went on was pretty beginner friendly and it's definitely worth checking out if you got time, although there was minor elevation incline and declines.
I will be coming back to hopefully go on other trails in the area!

The best place to go camping in all of PA. Wild and free. First come first serve with the campsites. Endless trails for hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, snowmobiling. Plenty of fishing spots including the reservoir. There is something for everyone out here. One of my favorite places to experience nature, this side of the Mississippi River.

One of the best national parks that you can visit with a beautiful, lush forest and lots of natural wonders, like streams and valleys. It's a beautiful place to hunker down for the night -- and let me tell you, cell phone signal is null and void out there in the wilderness! It gets absolutely PITCH BLACK at night as the light pollution from larger cities is a distant memory miles and miles away. I highly recommend a getaway to the Allegheny Forest if you're a nature lover.
