Love this bar/restaurant/pub. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks at a price you can afford. Large outdoor area. If you ride motorcycle this is a wonderful destination for you.

I love this place, inside was a very long bar , plenty of tables for a big crowd, outside has another bar, in addition to many umbrella topped tables. I had 2 sliders 1 angus beef , the other brisket, absolutely delicious, I had the onion rings, crispy sweet and juicy. The bartender was a very nice beautiful lady with awesome tattoos, this place is in st Charles, I drove an hour to get there, I’ll be back , highly recommend this place to my biker friends.

In the heart of bar row for the main st. Charles area. Many places to walk and get to. Close by hotel baker and main crossroads with 31 and 64. Private parking in back and off street too. There is plenty of open area and Americana decor. I was surprised they had tacos and even more they were ok. A bit over cooked for me but smell good and taste was on. Wings, and many appetizers to share. A good assortment of tap beers and regular too.

When I say there's not a better place in Kane County to spend a Saturday night, I mean it. This place offers a large spacious, well-ventilated bar with Good Vibes and Cold Drinks. if you're a stars and stripes loving American than this is the bar for you. I never eaten there, so I won't rate the food.

Alley 64 is one of the better bars on the St. Chas strip. The food is good, the service is okay, The seating area is large , wild and wide and , they have slid machines too All in all, a good bar. I'd recommend it to anyone hanging out in St. Charles.

Sure it's a biker bar? No , it's a fantastic everybody's bar , roomy , lots of fun lights, beautiful bar. Then the food is amazing , definitely be elevated bar food. It has a great kids menu as well. It's a great place to watch the game and hang with a group.

This place is great. Lots of room. Great food and the staff is the fantastic at what they do. Everytime I go here is have lots of laughs and make new friends. There is a front bar and a back bar, inside and one out back where they open the walls up in the summer time to enjoy the patio too. Food is always fantastic and arrives quickly after you order it. I love the stuffed shrimp and the fried chicken special. Kitchen closes at 10 though so get here early. Great downtown bar where everyone from college kids to bikers to politicians can be found enjoying drinks and laughs together and lots of times that's exactly the crowd mix. Why go anywhere else?

Fun space. Good bar food. Great service. We have our motorcycle club meeting and they handle our big rowdy group like champs.

This place is amazing the owners are awesome and so nice . Food is great , Staff treats everyone with appreciation. Never had a bad meal there. Thou they did some Pinot Noir hehe Love this Place! Actually All their Businesses! You can Never Go Wrong with this Family Owned Restaurant!

We had a fun time with a big group. A friends son turned 21 and we had a large group on a Saturday night. Everyone there was very nice, we had an amazing waitress. The service was excellent, they gave us a large area in the back that worked perfectly. The place is so much larger than I expected. We drank for many hours and I was surprised how small our bill was. I really am interested in going back to try some food. The manu is really large, everything from seafood to breakfast. We had a really great time even if we were old enough to be the parents of most everyone else there.

I've been to this place twice and I'm writing to express my disappointment with the service my family and I received. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The attitude of the staff, bartenders and bouncers was quite rude and unprofessional. This lack of courtesy and respect made our dining experience very unpleasant. I hope they take feedback seriously and work on improving the quality of service. All customer, of all races deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy, and we hope that future patrons will have a better experience.

Bar that has a divey ass atmosphere. It has basic beer and cocktails. Alley 64 also has basic bar food and not all of it is fried crap amazingly. Has a few sketchy characters like any bar. They have lots of TVs so it's good for watching a game. Came in here for a bit. It was pretty quiet early in the evening. There were only a few other customers inside. Apparently this can get a lot crazier. The later you go they start playing louder music. For this first time we didn't stay long enough. We started with a few basic drinks like a Jameson. It's $6.50 for a typical cocktail. The food isn't impressive but it's about what you expect here. After thinking about it we had the Pretzel Bites. It's about $9 for a bunch. These are okay whether either the cheese they give you or you can get mustard. Had an okay time in here. It looks like maybe they cleaned up the crowds or whoever some of the troublemakers were that caused problems. There were no problems from the bartenders or staff.

Went here to meet a couple of friends for lunch. I saw the bad reviews posted, and wondered if we were in for a lousy experience. The service was great. The bartender was on top of things. She was constantly helping customers along with another server. It was taco Tuesday and I was surprised by the quality of the food. I really enjoyed it. The prices were good too. Give it a try.

This place was so horrible. We were having fun all night and buying multiple drinks. They proceeded to kick us out at 1:40 instead of close at 2AM (what google said). We had an uber waiting for 12min (arrival 1:52AM) and proceeded to get screamed at multiple times to get off their property. It was a guy in a long sleeve neon orange shirt. He was a total dick. So rude. We were freezing in below 30 degree weather. They wouldn't let us wait for our uber inside. We had cooks helping us stay warm. We were not drunk either, very well composed. So not empathetic.

Bouncer kicked us out after all 3 of us ordered at the bar. They got suspicious because I asked if they "had beer" rather than saying "what beer do you have", I'm 22 Also had an issue with my friends id having a misprint, this is the only bar that has ever cared after going to Nashville and Los Angeles

DENISE the bartender last night was so mean to me last night, and it was my birthday! I was waiting at the bar to get my first birthday drink of the night, and she intentionally skipped over me 3 times & it was very obvious to everyone around. I was so confused because I was just standing there like everyone else waiting patiently! Definitely won't be returning if that is how staff is going to treat their customers, especially on their birthday

Second time there in a week! Food is amazing! We've enjoyed everything we've ever had there. Nice/huge outdoor patio as well.

We had a good dining experience at Alley 64 on Main Street in St. Charles, Illinois. Walking into this establishment you get a really good vibe. It is a historic building that has been well-maintained and has a good community feeling, there were posters supporting the Special Olympics hanging about. There are TVs throughout the bar and dining area, making it a great place to come to watch a game or two. We started our evening with cocktails and wine. The wine list is limited to Sutter Home selections, but the beer list was extensive. We had two glasses of Cabernet, one Tito and Cranberry Cocktail , and a Margarita. The drinks were good with the exception of the Margarita, which we returned as undrinkable, it lacked the proper mix of ingredients. The server was very responsive and quick to offer an alternative. The service overall was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed a Shrimp Bowl, Eggplant Parmesan, and The Alley 64 Cobb Salad. All were delicious and served with generous portions. We also ordered a Chicken Bowl which our diner did not rate as great citing it did not meet her expectations. Overall, a good dining experience.

Bars, bars, bars St. Charles has so many bars, so how do you pick which one to go to I remember when Alley 64 opened years ago. At that time I was going to Filling Station and Pub 222, yet 222 has recently closed down. Each bar has it's own vibe so you gravitate towards the one you feel most comfortable. I like Filling Station because of it's laid back atmosphere. Alley 64 is a pretty cool place. It has more of a roadside bar / biker bar feel to it. They also play a lot of country music. For those reasons it isn't my favorite place, but I typically stop in for 1 drink

If i could give it zero stars i would. do not come here!!! the guy checking the ids at the door is uneducated. Our ids were checked at the door and then again at the bar for some reason. the bar tender decided she didnt want to serve us and our ids were allegedly fake and had us kicked out. why even let us in to order drinks if you think the ids are fake??? so many bad reviews about this place and everyone being uneducated and useless

We like to hit this place before we go out riding for the day. Prices are good and service is attentive! A big shout out to Katie who always makes us feel welcome. Food wise, we haven't had anything we don't like yet. It is typical bar food, but done right. The outside bar area is our favorite - however be prepared for an old school experience as cigarettes are welcomed close by!

Stopped in over the weekend, Busy place. Definitely your neighborhood bar where all 21 year olds hang out, giving it 4 stars cause the bartenders were awesome. Good music but definitely a little to old for this bar great place though.

Sadly, won't be coming back :/ My friends and I were long-time customers here. We're all like 25/26 now, and Alley was always the go-to for a night out, and a MUST on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The service has always been OK, the bartenders aren't mean. My friends and I just have a big issue with how the staff treats paying customers at the end of the night. Last night they did last call for us at 1:30am, totally typical for a 2am close. But at 1:40am the "bouncer" started yelling at everyone in the building to make their way to the back and leave because the bar was closed. I get it, it's late, everyone wants to go home, but if you want to close at 1:30 or 1:40 then just change your hours.... Because giving people 10 minutes to finish a drink that they had just ordered isn't very realistic. The bouncer and other bartenders wouldn't even give us 30 seconds to put on our jackets and gather our belongings before repeating themselves, "time to leave, bars closed, let's go". And if that wasn't weird enough, they wouldn't even let us stand in the enclosed patio to order our Uber home. We got shoved out in the cold, and a group that was arguing with the bouncer even got physically shoved, had their drinks snatched from their hands and thrown on the ground, and called "r*tards" in front of everyone. This was all before 2am even hit. Stinks, cuz like I said, this was our go-to spot for the longest time, but I don't think I feel like being around all of that random power-trip energy on my night out.

Stopped in with my family for dinner, Josie was our server. She was very timely and friendly!

Just a nice huge bar pub, fun to chill at I suppose. Reminiscent of a place you'd find in Wrigleyville or Old Town so that's nice to have in the good ol' burbs. So points for atmosphere lol. A bit of a biker bar so look out for fights!

I went to this bar hoping to have a good time. I'm 32 years old, I have a valid IL ID (a REAL ID at that) and the doorman I handed it to acted like it was a fake. All the security features were validated. What kind of a place is this? I sympathize that someone flunked out of the academy, but it's generally not a great idea to be unnecessarily rude to paying customers that have otherwise caused no issue. Was charged $2.00 for ice in a whiskey on the rocks. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

Lucky to get in here last minute on a Saturday night before a show at The Arcada. The service was terrific, and I ordered a grilled chicken pesto sandwich with tater tots. I WAS NOT SAD. This sandwich was delicious; pesto with a drizzle of chipotle mayo, and there was some kind of citrus (lime maybe?) on the arugula. Just the right kind of peppery flavor that kicked up the pesto. It was just great. If our show falls flat, I won't care; this sandwich was worth the drive. The tater tots were a notch-up too; they were also seasoned, and just the right kind of crispy. Thank you for such a wonderful night out with great food! It's hard to find these days.

Solid bar food, regular stop while out riding in the summer. Fish tacos are great! Beer could be a bit colder though, and not a fan of people being able to smoke cigarettes at the semi-outside part of bar.

Absolutely horrible experience, first time going and will never return. I'm visually impaired and have severe night blindness so I require the assistance from others to help guide me. We walked in and the bouncer, who seemed very under the influence, told us the manager needs us to leave because we seemed "too drunk that I need to hold on to someone" (literally didn't even have a drink yet). I explained that I was visually impaired and the manager couldn't even address us directly.

Absolutely fantastic service and the food was prepared perfectly great flavors. Motorcycle parking was a big plus Stop by for a drink but definitely hang around for the food.

Don't come here employees are rude and condescending. The woman bartender kicked us out for a misprinted ID after the bouncer allowed it.

Just moved back to Illinois and I couldn't wait to stop in here! The staff are very friendly and the food is plentiful. You won't go wrong ordering the wings or one of the burgers! I forgot to get a pic of my wings before I devoured them! It's a very large and tastefully decorated place with outdoor seating also. Stop on by you won't be disappointed

I kept giving Alley 64 another try like allll the time but this place is just such a joke. They have horrible service at the bar and every time I come here there is some issue. They're openly displaying an anti-BLM flag and their "security" is useless and rude. Can't stand being in this bar anymore.

Not sure why the bad reviews, drinks were good, food was amazing. Try the Thursday special prime rib dinner, yum!

The service is great (thanks Katie), Coconut Shrimp was excellent and they have Rootbeer beer! The patio is an excellent place to relax after a long wonderful ride. They have parking for your bike nice and close, the best thing is no one messes with your ride. Alley 64 has an extensive menu along with an Adult Beverage selection to please even the hardest to please. When you are finished with your meal or beverages Saint Charles offers many shops to visit. The Harley/Triumph dealership is only minutes away. Thanks for reading my review, I'm going back to enjoying the Sun and my cold Corona.

What an interesting place. I would say its a classy bar or a classy restaurant. I also wouldn't say it's very clean. The food is pretty mediocre and so are the mixed drinks. However, sometimes you want a good dive bar atmosphere. Thats exactly what this is. For what it lacks in food and drink, it makes up for it in atmosphere. It's one of the few places I've seen in America where literally everyone is at home. No matter age, race, background. Everyone was at home here and lived in harmony. I'll be back. Not to have a nice dinner with crafty cocktails. But I will be back to have some beers and watch some hockey.

This place met our expectations. It is a bar and grill. The food was good and the atmosphere nice. Very clean. We sat on the patio. Don't let the motorcycles intimidate you everyone was really nice. We had chips and salsa and really liked the salsa. It tasted fresh and cold on a warm sunny day. The hot wings were an average bar food wings. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak as I do at most bar and grills. It was delicious and came with seasoned steak fries which were good, done and crisp. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals! We will come back and do recommend this restaurant to others.

Terrible service. Was left unattended for over an hour. An employee who pretended to be manager was rude to us when we asked to speak to a manager, we later on found out he was not the manager.

One of my favorites. Food is real good. Scratch that Great! Atmosphere is for 21 & up ages all day everyday. Everyone gets along. So fun to be there when the sun is out . Feel like a vacation spot. They make each season perfect .Summer spring fall winter. One suggestion to allow dogs on patio. That way I can stay longer. Highly recommend this establishment.

Last time I was here with friends we spent about $5 in the jukebox and they skipped through all of them because they didn't like our genre. Didn't bother to pay us back or any form of compensation. I know it's not a lot but it's annoying that they did that.

I've never hung out in this area of St. Charles, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised...I really like it! This place seemed to have a mixed crowd of all ages, so my friend and I came in for a drink after having dinner elsewhere. This place is HUGE, and I mean H U G E !!!!!!! There was plenty of seating on a Saturday night, we got a seat at the bar and didn't have to wait very long to get waited on. They have an extensive drink menu - lots of beers to choose from! They also have specialty drinks, etc. We got beer. I can't speak to the food menu, but I'd like to come back here one day - maybe for one of those Sunday $7 burger & bloody marys! There is plenty of parking in the lots or on the street behind the place, the music also varies on a Saturday night...I liked the atmosphere here, very decent and definitely worth a stop in.

The worst place!! Dirty, bartenders are so rude, drinks suck, food sucks! So many other places in the area that are so much better!!!!!! Don't go to this restaurant, waste of money. Adding to this, my friend went there last night (1/5/19) and the staff was rude and tried to get away with double charging her credit card. Place was dirty and this place just totally sucks. Don't know why people still go to this place. HORRIBLE PLACE!!

I have eaten there twice in the last month and food was so good. I know it's know for being a biker bar and a young persons hangout but in those off hrs it's time to enjoy the food.

One star reviews from me mean they place must have been pretty bad. Facility felt old and run down. Potato skins were over baked and obviously frozen. Salad was, well, just a salad. Burger left grease running down my arm with waaaaaay too much seasoning. The fries were so drenched in salt that I felt the need to call my cardiologist before I ate them (I didn't eat them). Told the server and she could give a crap. How this place stays in business is beyond me. Skip this place based on my experience.

Went there after this years St. Patrick's Day parade as I have in the past. I've always enjoyed going there and I totally understood that it would be crowded. I did manage to grab a seat at the bar with friends and family but, each and every time I asked one the bartenders for a drink they looked at me and walked away. The only way to get a drink I was told was if you were a "regular" by a group of regulars who ended up ordering my drinks. I find it appalling that they would look you in the eye and walk away as I was speaking. The other thing was as an establishment who knows that they are going to be crowded they should rent a few port-o-potties. Three stalls for women is not enough for well over 300 people. I waited 55 minutes to use the bathroom. There were people literally peeing in their pants due to the ridiculous wait which was disgusting.

Alley 64 advertised on Facebook that they would show STC North vs Nazareth football game. Biggest fail in STC history. Called to confirm that Alley 64 would broadcast the STC IHSA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Arrived early to secure a table. Spent $300 in food and drinks before the game. The brain trust that runs this dump didn't subscribe to the right network to broadcast the game. How does a bar in St. Charles fail to carry the biggest game in the history of this town? Follow-up: Talked to the "manager" who was completely useless. His exact words were "I don't work for Directv. So I don't know what to tell you." Well, Mr. Manager someone at Riverside in South Elgin must work for Directv because they figured out how to carry the game. Note the the owner, explain to the "manager" (and to yourself) what accountability means. When someone calls to verify that you will broadcast an event, and you advertise that event, you should insure that it will be broadcast! Especially when family and friends of the kids playing come to your venue specifically to watch the game!

People need to truly order different items on the menu. This is NOT typical bar food. Crab Cakes, Pork Shoulder, Lamb Chops and White Fish...to name a few. Great atmosphere for couples , families or to stop in for a beer alone. The staff is always friendly and inviting and the food is spot on! Do yourself a favor and go in for dinner, try a few things and you will not be disappointed! The family that runs Alley is always around and they always make sure that service and food is first rate!

Came in for lunch with wife. She had apple and chicken salad that she thought was great and I had veggie sandwich that was awesome!! Will be back...

They serve exceptionally weak drinks, driving you to pay double for an extra shot to correct.

I love the old neighborhood feel, our server was attentive and friendly and my Old Fashion from the bar was perfect. I had the pork chops and they e ceded my expectations. I'll be back!

Met new friends here at their recommendation, because they are both Harley Riders. They have special parking just for bikers, which was nice. We started inside with some beers and a rum and coke and service was pretty fast. Then we moved outside and service was extremely friendly, but quite slow, but she had quite a few tables to take care of. As a group, we had the baked french onion soup, the angus sliders, the tuna salad sandwich with fries and the Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich. The baked french onion looked really good with lots of cheese, served in a crock pot bowl. The person who got the angus sliders has had them before and said those were his favorite. The caribbean jerk was flavorful, but not very moist. Coleslaw was good, but portion was very tiny. Fries were plentiful and they were steak cut fries with seasoning on them. Not soggy either. The tuna salad sandwich was quite large, I could only eat half with my fries and slaw. A large amount of moist, flavorful tuna was sandwiched between lettuce on toasted bread. It was really very good. Rum and cokes seemed a little watery, but by the second one I was still feeling buzzed. Sitting on the patio was really nice with the great weather and the people all seemed very friendly.
