"There’s a Disney-like quality to the interior of Pranakhon, a massive two-story Thai restaurant near Union Square. It feels as though the Imagineers were trying to re-create an open-air spot in Bangkok, and they do an alright job—most of the food is a step up from your favorite takeout place. The menu, like the space, is huge. You’ll find pretty much any Thai dish you’d want here, from pad thai and green curry to mussel omelets and crab fried rice. A few dishes, like the meltingly tender and rich short rib mussaman, stand out. This is a great choice for a casual group hangout or a quick meal when you're in the neighborhood and don't want to scramble for a hard-to-get reservation." - Carina Finn

Really cute place! The service was good and the place has a few TVs. Unfortunately the food wasn’t very good for us and that’s why my review is low

A wonderful place to hangout, eat some great food, have a few drinks and watch & feel Bangkok unfold in front of you. Located on a mellow street, Alley Cat fits right in.

Found Alley Cat by chance one evening seeking some respite from the bustle of Khaosan Road where my hotel was located at the time. It quickly became my go-to home away from home bar. Wonderful, super friendly owners Dash & Nancy and their staff made me feel welcome at all times. There is a great menu of delicious local Thai dishes alongside American and Mexican bar classics, around the clock English Premier League on TV, live music on the weekends and the cheapest, coldest Chang beers in town. Not to mention some great and colourful regulars who pass through. A super chill place that I can't wait to return to. Greatest little bar in all of Bangkok with folks who I call friends. Miss you guys!

I've been to the Alley Cat Resto Bar twice this week. It's at the quieter end of Ram Buttri Alley. It appears to be quite new as everything is clean and crisp in appearance. I particularly like the stark black and red decor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and very keen to please the customers. The little thing that cements this bar in my favourites is that they give beer coasters to stand your beer glass and bottle on; because I personally hate the condensation pools on the table and that then drip on me when I take a drink. The music playing is at a reasonable volume to still hold a conversation and a great selection of 60-70-80's pop songs.

I visited here a few times back in January 24 and found the place inviting and the staff friendly.

Review for Alley Cat Resto Bar Alley Cat Resto Bar is one of those places that feels like a true find. Tucked away in the heart of Bangkok, it strikes the perfect balance between great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service. Whether you’re looking for authentic Thai dishes or something a little different, this spot delivers. The Pad Thai was hands down one of the best I’ve had—flavors perfectly balanced, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The nachos were another standout, with generous portions and a great mix of toppings. It’s also worth mentioning how inclusive the menu is, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options that don’t feel like an afterthought. The atmosphere here really sets it apart. There’s live music on some nights, which adds to the charm without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and let the hours slip by, whether you’re with friends or on your own. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, even during busy times. The drink selection is another highlight, with a good mix of local beers and cocktails at reasonable prices. Everything about this place feels thoughtful and well put together. If you’re in Bangkok and want something that feels both laid-back and special, I’d highly recommend Alley Cat Resto Bar. It’s a place I’ll definitely return to next time I’m in the city. Unfriendly staff. Been there over 4 years now but last year wasn't that nice as they were before and unwelcomed as I didn't expectedly maybe because I'm Thai woman and mostly be there myself alone without my Austrain bf and due to I see them more welcome with Foreigners people or Foreigners couple.Truly disappointed and won't go back again.

The location is great and since I stayed at Rambuttri Village Inn this restaurant is just a short walk away. They have an atm just outside. The foods were great and I really loved it. The staff were very helpful and even offered to take our photos. I'd definitely go back here once I'm in Thailand.
