The 22 Best Halal Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Alley Cats Pizza is one of our favourite places to get NYC-style pizza in London. In fact, it’s one of our favourite pizza spots full stop. Just like the original in Marylebone, this Chelsea restaurant has an effortlessly cool energy. The music is loud, the wooden booths are the place to be, and tables are covered in red and white chequered tablecloths. The smoky, spicy, sweet halal pepperoni and honey is a must-order." - rianne shlebak

The 22 Best Date Night Restaurants In London Right Now

"Telling someone you fancy to meet you at Alley Cats Pizza in Chelsea is a smart move. Flirt over the smell of crispy crust while waiting in the fast-moving queue, and whether the stools facing the window free up first, or you get the lower tables for two, the upbeat (without being too loud) music and low lighting sets the scene for a good time. Oh, and the thin NYC-style pizza is some of the best in London." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

The 19 Best Restaurants In Chelsea

"Alley Cats is one of our favourite places to get NYC-style pizza in London. In fact, it’s one of our favourite pizza spots full stop. Just like the original in Marylebone, this walk-in-only Chelsea restaurant has an effortlessly cool energy. The music is loud, the wooden booths are the place to be (if they’re not already filled with tipsy groups), and you might need your phone flashlight to read the menu—although you should just order the marinara and the halal pepperoni. The Sopranos is projected on the brick wall, the red and white chequered tables are covered with huge pizzas, and everyone is having a great time. " - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

London’s New Restaurant Openings

"We gave the original branch of this thin-crust, NYC-style pizza spot an 8.3. And we’re hoping this new location in Chelsea will be just as good. Alley Cats isn’t just one of our favourite pizza spots in Marylebone, it’s up there with some of the best in the whole city.  We recently checked out Alley Cats Pizza Chelsea. Read our first thoughts here.  " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Alley Cats Pizza Chelsea - Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation

"Alley Cats Pizza is one of our favourite places to get NYC-style pizza in London. In fact, it’s one of our favourite pizza spots full stop. Just like the original in Marylebone, this walk-in-only Chelsea restaurant has an effortlessly cool energy. The music is loud, the wooden booths are the place to be (if they’re not already filled with tipsy groups), and you might need your phone flashlight to read the menu. That’s all part of it though—it’s curated chaos. We’re big fans of the crunchy edges and slightly droopy middle, and this beef pepperoni topping is the one to go for. The meat is smoky, there’s some spice from the jalapeños, and the perfect amount of sweetness from the honey to cut through. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Tuna Bonito You know the Ortiz tuna that comes in the fancy can? The one you only find in trendy delis or a big Waitrose? Yep, that’s the tuna they use on this pizza. It’s great, but our only request would be that they use more of it. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Garlic Mayo There are loads of sauces, but our favourite is the garlic mayo. It goes with everything without overpowering the pizza toppings. You’ll need one per pizza, minimum." - Rianne Shlebak

Good pizza place with nice atmosphere. Gets crowded very fast so the wait might be long. It was our second time visiting this place and this time we ordered the margharita and the cheesy garlic bread, the pizza was served cold so I would rate it not very high as it would have been delicious ifbit was served hot. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious with the marinara dip. We also ordered the rocket salad and it was delicious. I recommend the place for pizza lovers

Honestly, I don’t understand the hype. For the price of the pizzas and starters, very average, meh. The candied bacon - was not crispy or crunchy - in fact just your average undercooked bacon rashes topped with some maple syrup. 2/5 The garlic bites - okay. They were okay. 3/5 Pepperoni pizza - was good but not anything special. 3.5/5 The vodka pizza - nope, lacks flavour and no real base Not going to come back sadly

We visited here on Saturday around 4pm, we were able to get a seat straight away. The service was great, the food and drinks came very quickly. The vodka pizza is delicious and highly recommended. The soft serve ice cream is the perfect sweet treat for afterwards. Can’t wait to come again and try out a new pizza!

The service was okay but nothing special. I ordered the marinara pizza and a coke. The pizza was alright but did not really live up to expectations. The sauce was nice but would have liked the cheese to be a bit more press as some bites were over powered by cheese and some was just sauce. The base was nice. The staff were friendly and did offer to pack my pizza into smaller boxes instead of a big pizza box.

What you need to know!

Overall: Food: Pizza So it’s a good concept except the 14” pizzas are generally too much for one person but not enough for two people so it leaves you in a bit of limbo as do you or don’t your order more. Then the price point is particularly high for what you get - essentially dough with some toppings. Cost per pizzas - let’s say a Margherita is no more than £1.50-£2 so £17 is a high price for the least expensive pizza. Service was very slow, no one checked how we were and it wasn’t that busy. They were however very nice when you did actually speak to someone. The meatballs whilst good in flavour and texture were again top heavy on the price point of £10 for such a small portion. The same with the dips - thimble sized at £2 each. What I liked: • The pizzas What I didn’t like: • Price point • Doesn’t accept cash or Amex • Doesn’t accept weekend reservations • Slow service Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? NO Price Point: $$

Definitely worth the hype. The pizza was perfection. The garlic and cheese bread start was amazing. And on top of how brilliant the food was - the service was fantastic too. Could not recommend highly enough.

Went there on Monday with a friend and my boyfriend. Had to wait for about 40 minutes to get a table and we got one of the outside ones. Once we ordered, food was delivered promptly. Garlic bites were nice and crispy and tasty, but both pizzas (vodka and mushrooms) weren't really hot but lukewarm, and lacked flavour. However, what really made the experience bad was the fact that around 9.20 pm, kitchen porters came out and emptied the bins right next to our table, by the curb, which meat that we were seating eating by big piles of rubbish bags and looking at them. That was really bad. Been to the other location before and really rated it, but the bin bags and lukewarm pizzas really put me off from visiting you again.
