Alley Lounge - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Located behind Fin in Culver City, Alley Lounge is a speakeasy that goes all in on the festive holiday decor. Apart from string lights and a lifesize Santa figurine that stares into our souls, the bar offers a list of holiday cocktails, including the Candy Cane Crush with rum, candy cane syrup, and coconut cream, and a cranberry Moscow Mule called the Mule Tide. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Cool bar with great holiday decorations inside. Decent happy hour Thurs-Sat 5-7. Inside has plenty of seating. A small side room available for private parties. They also have a nice big patio. Good for groups or a date. Not much food but they do have tacos and chips. Chill atmosphere. Great service. Friendly staff. Street meter parking up and down the block.

Disclaimer: we came pretty late in the evening, about an hour before close on a Thursday night. But this place was pretty dead, with only 1 or 2 other groups here along with us, yet our drinks took FOREVER - probably about 30 minutes. Once they came they were pretty good though. The patio is sort of small but serviceable, and the inside has more of a trendy feel. The entrance is, as you would imagine, down an alley to the right of the restaurants in front. Street parking only (avoid the neighborhood as it's all permit parking).

I rented out the Alley Lounge for my wife's 40th birthday party, and it was an incredible experience. Alice, the event coordinator, couldn't have been more helpful. She was communicative every step of the way, assisting with our choices for drinks, food, and décor options. On the night of the event, she and her staff were attentive and professional. Setup went off without a hitch—she knew exactly where to place the balloons and signage. Once the party kicked off, she personally served margaritas to our arriving guests and even took care of serving our desserts. She coordinated seamlessly with our DJ and photographer, ensuring their needs were met in the lead-up to the event. All in all, the party couldn't have gone better. The venue was amazing, the food was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch—with custom menus for the occasion. I can't recommend the Alley Lounge enough for private events!

Taco Wednesday is the way to go. 3 tacos plus chips under $10 is truly an amazing option. Please not on this day there are no happy hour options, however drinks are still affordably priced. Let's take a peak into a local neighborhood modern speakeasy tucked away behind Fin No passwords needed to enter here but good vibes and a great time is. What's not to like!? Another plus, it's fully ada and wheelchair accessible. Today's visit we opted to leave my chair in the car and I utilized my cane especially since there is only street parking it would have been a bit of a hassle getting into the area with my particular chair, but no worries here once inside there is ample indoor seating and an abundance of outdoor. Customer service was phenomenal and our bartender was very honest and polite. I apologize I don't remember his name buy he was very helpful when we asked questions in regards to certain drinks and the tacos. My only qualm because I'm mostly vegetarian I was sad to see that the vegetarian taco options do not qualify for the taco special but the carnitas were very delicious according to my partner. The tacos were very tender, juicy, nicely portioned and flavorful. When it cam to cocktails I decided to branch out my norm when it came to speakeasy styles of drinks. NY first drink involved their holiday special. They did not have the peppermint to create the rim ans honestly rhats ok. From aestetic point of view it would have looked lovely but personally my drink tasted phenomenal without it. Candy cane crush was delicious, well flavored and festive. My partner opted for a spicy margarita and rum punch. Both packed a boozy kick. I do love my whiskey and sazerac but opted for a different alternative. My only requirement it needed absinthe. Overall I highly recommend visiting this place. Perfect for couples and large groups. It's an intimate setting and an amazing way to relax and unwind.

Def one of my favorite cocktail spots in Culver City! Chill vibe with a good crowd and fantastic bartenders! What really makes it for me is the service and quality of the drinks. It's right behind Fins Tapas so you can grab food there and head back to the alley to keep the good times rolling! They have spooky cocktails now and I was really impressed with how well they turned out for it being relatively busy. My group tried the Black Dahlia, Pumpkin King, The Count, and Sanderson Sisters. I enjoyed the uniqueness of each, but the Black Dahlia was intriguing and mysterious with hints of liquorice-esque flavors and other unique notes. It was all very subtle and made for an outstanding cocktail. The Sanderson Sister was fun with dry ice making it have a cauldron effect. The Pumpkin King was good and same with The Count with a more creamier consistency. Also, the ice they use is pretty incredible. Super clear and really stands out! A little weird thing to notice, but I appreciate it! Overall, I enjoyed each time I've been here as it is starting to become my local watering hole. Keep up the good cocktails coming!!

I have been looking for a different place to visit nearby, and think I have found one with character and a cool vibe. I first had to find it through a narrow alley, behind the restaurant in the front. I chose a welcoming booth across from the bar. There is also outdoor seating. The classic cocktails included one of my favorites, Sazerac (rye, Peychaud bitters, sugar, absinthe). The DJ was great and several started dancing to the beat. I will definitely come back to try other drinks and food. Parking can be difficult to find on Washington Blvd.

I came here on a rainy evening for a networking event, and plan to come back with friends! I had a delicious blood orange margarita - yum! The atmosphere is fun and cozy.

Google
A friend suggested that I meet him at the Alley. At first I was like...in the Alley? What alley 🤷🏾‍♂️ then I Googled the location and to my surprise the bar is called the Alley. Then when I arrived after finding parking on the street to my surprise the bar is located in The Alley. Cool little spot. Kinda dark seemed more like a place to take a date not the your homie meeting for a beer.

Yelp
I've been to Alley Lounge multiple times over the years and always have enjoyed myself. Unique cocktails, great service, fun crowd, even a Christmas overlay during the holidays. Whenever I'm in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Came here for a friend's bday. We had the whole side room with nice couches along the walls and little round tables. It's a nice ambiance, dim lighting, speakeasy vibe. The drinks were delicious; we had the Washington Blvd and Gold Digger. Nice, friendly bartenders. It's behind the Fin restaurant where you literally have to walk down a narrow alley to get it the entrance of this place, which was pretty cool.

Yelp
We came here around 8:30 on a Saturday night and were able to get a couple seats at the bar. There was a private party and it was pretty busy, but the bartenders were in good spirits and very attentive. Our bartenders made us very good drinks (El Mezcalito, Gold Digger, and an N/A version of the Washington Blvd). He even told us about his favorite Mezcal and recommended a great restaurant and Mezcaleria (Madre) nearby once he found out my boyfriend is a big fan of Mezcal. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
Super delayed on my review! I visited back at the end of April with my team for a farewell party for an old colleague of ours. It was great working with Alice beforehand and her helping out with all of the catering needs for a group of 20ish people. I showed up a little early to make sure everything was set well, and was super thankful we were able to use the back lounge to put our things.. even though I knew no one would sit back there LOL we ended up crowding the general area/bar area but the team at alley was just so hospitable and welcoming that I recommended another team I support to check it out a couple of weeks later! The food was delicious even though this team doesn't eat.. and of course later they for hungry and didn't even know there was food available earlier LOL typical.. but everyone had a great time! I know I haven't been there in a while but I'll definitely be back soon with friends and for sure will be back for another team gathering soon! Thank you all so much!

Yelp
Can't attest to how they operate normally, but for their Christmas theme take over, they were not prepared to handle the crowd. There was a line to enter in the alley. It was about a 20-30 minute wait. Once you enter the bar itself is very small, with only 2 bartenders inside making the holiday drinks. I was standing trying to order for over 20 minutes and was ignored twice when I was standing at the bar. There were men were being served before me but since they were taller and got the attention of the bartender, they were served first. Their holiday drinks weren't as good as I was expecting. Not for $17 at least. Barely any space to stand or sit. If you do plan on going, expect a night filled with a lot of waiting. It's not worth the wait honestly. Skip thi

Yelp
Went here last Saturday with a friend for the first time! We loved the Christmas decorations and the Xmas drink! I tried The raspberry reindeer first. We loved it! My friend tried the North Pole Espress-O and loved it! I then tried the Candy Cane Crush. Our favorite drink was Speak Easy To Me from the regular menu! The service was fast and our waiter was great! We loved the ambience. For food we shared the birria tacos which were good. We're looking forward to coming back to try their happy hour which is daily from 5:30-6:33 pm.

Yelp
This place is cute in decor But under staffed and The "holiday Cocktails are so Disgusting " we had a party of 8 and ALL drinks were Awful - don't be deceived

Yelp
Recently hosted a party her for 14 and it was perfect. The reserved space in the lounge was great for mingling and the service was fantastic. The events coordinator Alice maintained regular communication for planning and provided helpful feedback. My guests all had a great time and enjoyed the tacos and cocktails. The margaritas and Moscow mules were favorites.

Yelp
Great food and drinks for their happy hour. We had a friendly bartender, who gave us good suggestions. I have to dock this place a star, not because of a bad experience, but the music wasn't very fitting of a lounge/speakeasy. It was more loud rather than soft jazzy, I suppose. Other than that, I'd come back. It's a swanky place. Remember to go to the back otherwise, you'll walk into the Fin tapas place in front!

Yelp
We used this venue to celebrate my boyfriend's 31st birthday with about 40 friends! We rented out the 'backyard'. It was a great day - good weather. The staff here is phenomenal! They were all great and very cooperative. We opted for the unlimited food and drink option and the bill was definitely on the pricier side (their cocktails and food is slightly more expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area, for the portions) but everyone had a good time - especially my boyfriend. The Manager was very honest and open about everything from the start so I have no complaints! I just wish they had more food options and definitely more vegetarian options. Great place to host.

Yelp
Loved the holiday decorations! You can definitely get some great shots for the gram in there. Come in with your ugliest sweater (optional) just don't forget the holiday spirit. Inside has plenty of seating. There's a small side room available for reservations and private parties. They have a couple booths perfect for small groups or cozying up with your holidate. They also have a large patio space. Came in for happy hour with some friends. Happy hour Thurs-Sat 5-7. Highlights are the $6 beer and $9 wells. They also have some tasty special holiday cocktails right now. Can recommend the Candy Cane Crush. Not that much food but they do have tacos and chips & guac. They were pretty good. Salsa needs more heat though. Service was great. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking up and down the block. If you're looking for a chill happy hour spot definitely check out Alley Lounge.

Yelp
Came here last night (a Thursday night) after dining at FIN Asian tapas (the restaurant in front of this bar). Chips and salsa - good portion for $5.50 price point! Solid, would reorder Service - when we first arrived, there were only 2 bartenders and it seemed a bit slow but by the time we left, it was more crowded and a few other workers appeared, decent service - not fast, but not too slow Ambiance - seemed pretty lively for a Thursday night. Nice inside but a little too brightly lit outside for my taste Drinks - liked the beachside, 4.5/5 for the flavor and nice taste (not spirit forward). The razz & rose was a bit too bitter for my taste 2/5 - didn't taste the raspberry, only the rosemary (just a note - you might feel differently) Parking - some limited street parking available Separate note - we only came because we got tokens / chips from the hostess at FIN Asian Tapas for $5 off a drink here. However, when we arrived, the bartender noted we had the chips when we asked about the discount but when the check arrived, he said that the chips were only for accessing a "secret menu" he didn't mention until we asked why the discount wasn't taken off the check... not sure what the miscommunication was, but it put a bit of a damper on the experience

Yelp
We came here before an event to get a drink and have a snack. It's definitely off the beaten path which made it kind of fun. Parking can be an issue. The drinks were good and the food pretty good-we did various tacos. I love the speakeasy feel of the place. Only issue is help was kind of non-existent and when present, they weren't very nice or welcoming-kind of made us feel like a burden being there. I'd still give it another try-like I said, chill place. We were there before the usual Friday night crowd, it's on the smaller side if you sit inside so I imagine it can get pretty packed with a crowd. I loved that the names of their drinks were inventive and named after starlets.

Yelp
I enjoyed walking down the narrow alley to get to the Alley Lounge. The bartenders were friendly, the drinks were good and the food. The best part to me was the patio with picnic tables. I liked the comfortable and relaxed energy that filled the air while having a drink there. Inside the Alley Lounge the atmosphere was calm, cool, and darkly lit with small tables and chairs along with half-moon shaped booths that can sit three people comfortably.

Yelp
Oh Alley...I was so excited! You definetly let me down when it came to service....your stars dwindled by the hour, as we sat there forgotten about. BUT.. I'll start with the good and great first because there definitely was some of that too. Love the ambiance, colors, seating, outdoor patio, inside and out, the aesthetic, the vibe, is everything! You enter through an alley at the street which is right before FIN tapas. We grabbed an outdoor bench...and I think that is where we messed up....sitting outside...I'll get to that. Food & drinks were delicious! We all ordered the Birria Tacos, on weds all tacos are 1/2 off, so for $7.50 we got 3 delicious tacos, great chips too! Flavorful tacos, so so good. I would have loved a slightly crisper shell, but still didn't keep the table from wolfing it down. Chips and guac...sooooo good! Their chips are fresh and have a great flavor. Drinks...the cactus cooler was the star! Loved the habanero salt orange as the garnish. Definetly had an elevated cactus cooler vibe, great balance of flavors and spirit flavor. They are definetly good at their craft when it comes to mixology. $15 tho is a bit steep when you can easily suck down 3 of these rather quickly...and before you know it you've had $45 worth of drinks and minimal buzz. The margarita was a delicious choice too. Food, drinks, ambiance...10/10!!! Onto the sad cons of the evening and which lead to our utter dissappointment of the night....the service....we got ZERO of it! We were 3 girls enjoying happy hour (which they didn't end up having since weds is the only day they dont) and within 3 hours, all we got was tacos and 2 drinks. We asked repeatedly for water anytime we could flag down someone who resembled an employee but we were completely forgotten about outside along with one other table. We saw our waiter maybe 3 times within a 3hour stay. Once an hour? And that was only to deliver 2 rounds of drinks and a food order. We asked repeatedly for chips...those came at the end of the meal when we ordered them at the beginning once we sat down. Zero check in, zero service..we were thirsty the whole night. We waited for another 25mins to try and get our check, noone ever came so we literally had to get up and walk to the bar to find someone to close us out. Such a bummer I was ready to give a raving 5 star review but being forgotten about really killed the Night.

Yelp
Alley Lounge is awesome. A great place to hang with friends. The "inside" is a super cool speak-easy vibe. The "outside" is more casual and funky but fun. The drinks are delicious. We threw a party for 50+ people. Rented the whole bar for the night. Alice could not have made the experience any better - from planning the party to the actual event, she took care of everything!! All we had to do was come and enjoy ourselves. I would definitely recommend Alley Lounge to anyone looking to host an event. PS they always play great music.

Yelp
A cute little spot in Culver City for drinks and tacos! I would say the drinks selection is great, but the taste was just mediocre. I definitely want to be back to try their tacos because it looks amazing!

Yelp
Fun date night. Outside picnic table area and cute bar inside. Good fusion food as well!

Yelp
If you're looking for a small, hidden bar to grab some drinks after work, this is the spot. The entrance is down an alley and a bit hidden from the main road but easy to find. They have indoor and outdoor seating with different vibes. The inside is a dark, intimate ambiance while the outside is more casual if you're grabbing drinks with friends. I especially love checking this joint out during happy hour to grab an Old Fashioned and they have a small menu as well if you're looking for a bite to eat. The cocktails are well made and the bartenders have been super friendly. Definitely a spot to check out in the Culver City area.

Yelp
There's fun holiday decor and seems good for small groups or dates. Outdoor patio looks fun. The service can be slow but they're also quite busy. Can't recommend Candy Cane Crush. Too much juice and I didn't taste any alcohol. Another thought similarly.

Yelp
Cute speakeasy type bar with a nice indoor and outdoor space. We got there pretty late at around 12:15 am but it was still crowded and they had a house DJ. The crowd here is a little older so it wasn't my scene but the drinks were pretty good.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and the vibe was pretty nice. It felt lively, but not too loud, and there were a good number of folks there to make the atmosphere nice. There was not a lot of extra space, but we managed to snag a high-top as soon as we walked in. We got our drinks relatively quickly and found them to be pretty tasty. I like how refreshing everything was and the strength of each drink. We hung around and chatted for a bit before we managed to grab a booth as well - super lucky! The seats were cozy and comfortable while we enjoyed just drinking and talking amongst ourselves. The aesthetic of the place was nice and the overall ambiance was pleasant. For a stop while doing a bar crawl, it was a good time. I would recommend coming by and checking it out for yourself - a good time and nice drinks!

Yelp
Bounced over to Alley Lounge after chilling at Alibi Room. Since we had a big group, we opted to stay at the patio instead of crowding indoors. I got two cocktails just because two of the specialty ones sounded absolutely delicious. Pumpkin King (3/5): I think it tasted like an alcoholic version of pumpkin juice from Universal Studios lol but others think it tasted more like a pumpkin spice latte. Not my favorite. The Living Dead (5/5): I really enjoy tiki drinks with tropical flavors, so this one definitely checked all the marks. It's a good balance between sweet and tart. I had no problem finishing this one all by myself. There's a cute video booth on the patio - I received the videos via email without an issue too!

Yelp
Happened on this bar after bar hopping in the area, and it's got a certain flare to it. I will say it's a little bit of an older crowd, maybe like 30s+ and not really a place for crop tops lol. My friends and I showed up a little lit already, but I can definitely see the appeal. It's got a darker speakeasy feel, with great bartenders and friendly staff in general. Bathroom only accommodates one person at a time, so the line can get a little awkward especially because the waiting area is right off the main bar. Other than that, no complaints!

Yelp
Visited this bar over the weekend since it was super close by my friend's apartment, and while I thought it was a chill vibey bar that's good for conversing with friends, I was appalled at their dishonest menu pricing and would not recommend this bar at all. The menus they handed us had a food menu that listed chips (and your choice of salsa or guacamole) for $5.50 and $7.50 respectively, although the bottom noted that the food menu was available until 10 PM. The waiter told us he could do chips, but did not mention anything at all about how they're double the price after 10 PM. We ended up just getting those chips and asking for the bill, which was when we noticed that our total came out to over $25. We had to ask them for an itemized bill and then ask about the menu pricing ourselves, before they told us about the modified pricing, which was confusing since they never gave us an updated past-10 PM menu or told us verbally when we were ordering. Management really needs to look into their misleading menus, service and business practices, and I would highly recommend asking for itemized bills/keeping track of your tab.

P M.

Yelp
Super cute with all of the decorations, but severely understaffed and unprepared. Drinks take forever, the poor bartender was swamped and struggling. Food came out cold. A party next to us didn't even get half of their food. The holiday cocktail menu also left a lot to be desired, really nothing interesting. Was hoping for something cozy, some kind of nog, peppermint or hot chocolate kind of cocktail would have been nice. Pretty much a mess overall, really wanted to like it here for the holidays but it just wasn't good.

Yelp
This hidden gem in la is a must go to! If you're into the speakeasy vibes, dim lighting, and amazing drinks, this is the place for you! I ordered a passion fruit margarita here and absolutely loved it. They have a section for bigger parties that you can reserve, seems like a perfect place to celebrate a birthday. On the weekends, I believe there's a dj that comes by, unfortunately they weren't there when we came but luckily the bar was playing some great music already.

Yelp
To the "business owner/manager" who responded. His passport was taken at the age of 22, when he had no facial hair. My partner has facial hair now, and it is still discrimination. The bartender clearly said, "we don't accept passports," so either you are lying or your bartender is saving himself. The bartender also didn't bother looking or checking my ID before denying my group. Again.....discrimination. I also don't appreciate that you accuse my party of being intoxicated simply because we "look younger", or "safety is a priority" those are some loaded accusations. Again, it wouldn't make sense if I were a minor since I have been served multiple times before. But I appreciate the compliment. Also, no one in my party was intoxicated given that none of us had a lick to drink before arriving to the establishment, again discrimination. If you are referring to a friend and her plus one that came back into your establishment with us, she is my cousin, and we met her on her way out. If she was intoxicated, maybe don't serve her, but not deny my entire party that just got there. Plus, she wasn't even buying a drink. She sat by the water dispenser. I would say that is responsible. Uber has and always is an option for responsible adults without the need to be perceived otherwise. Interesting, you say you keep everyone safe when I think I saw more intoxicated folks in the outside patio than anything. But I digress. And yet I didn't see you all deny them service. Won't be coming back, and maybe learn to teach and educate your bartenders on how to serve folks. Great establishment. Lost a regular. Point blank period. Good luck with everything.

Yelp
Second time visiting alley lounge and the bartenders are consistently fantastic. They've provided great service to me both times. Drinks are great and they have a happy hour until 6:33 daily, even on Fridays! Except if you do go on Friday, it'll likely be fairly quiet. The overall vibe is chill.

Yelp
We hosted a private party at the Alley Lounge. This place went above and beyond to ensure that all of our guests have the best experience. A huge thank you to Alice and her team for making this a great event. The food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were over the top!!!

Yelp
Went here for a date. Good ambiance. Had a Cactus Cooler made by Bartender A, which was tasty. When I ordered a second Cactus Cooler, Bartender B made it. I took a sip and tasted pineapple juice, which hadn't been in my first round. I asked Bartender B if there was pineapple juice in the drink. He said yes. I told him I'm allergic, my first round didn't have pineapple in it (my date had tasted it and confirmed this), and pineapple isn't in the drink ingredients on the menu. He told me the drink has pineapple and it's my fault for not telling him about my allergy. He didn't ask if I was ok or what my allergic reaction is (my mouth goes numb), let alone offer to call for help or make me a different drink. He said "if you were allergic, you would have already had a reaction." My tongue was already going numb from that first sip of the second drink while talking to him. Trust me, no one wishes I wasn't allergic to pineapple more than me. Pineapple is tasty, but I am indeed allergic. I won't die, but having a numb mouth is unpleasant, so I try to avoid it. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, it's a busy bar, and he can't control what does or doesn't get written on the menu. I would've totally understood if he had just handled the situation with a simple "yea it has pineapple, do you want a different drink?" I told him to cancel my drink and my date requested the same. Bartender A closed our tab for us, we paid for that first round and left. Needless to say, Bartender B is a total liability for the bar. Never going back.

Yelp
This place seems kind of randomly placed in a neighborhood, which makes it a great neighborhood spot if you live in the area. It has a cute outdoor seating area, and indoors as well. At one point, a stray cat wandered in. It was decorated for the holidays.

Yelp
Closes at 10:30pm now so get there early for Good tacos and great drinks. Sweet vibe in here very old school speak easy ish. Went in again last night 7/29/23. 11;55pm still open this time. I noticed I can't enter from the alley anymore. I was entering from the front and was forced to walk thru cigar puffing bouncer, air conditioning was cranked up so much could only stay for 2 min did not order any drinks this time and left. Too bad this was our local spot. Oh well things change and not always for the better. I may be picky but this just turned me off. Good luck guys?

Yelp
Alley is literally an OG speakeasy bar, that takes specialty drinks to the the next level. While they have a menu, it doesn't fully matter -- go up to the bar tenders and ask them to make you anything that you can think of, and they'll know how. The mood is great, and it has a classic feel and style. Adam was extremely nice and knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fantastic. He clearly knew his stuff and gave killer suggestions. Chase was also fantastic. Highly recommend this spot for a first date, meeting, or quick drink after work.

Yelp
The Alley is emblematic of one of the greatest things about Los Angeles, that you can have places tucked away in discrete locations that turn out to be absolute gems. This is my first time at this bar, but I had a great time. Firstly, the bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable! Shout out to Adam and Chase and their awesome suspenders! Secondly, great music. Playing mostly 80s hits, Whitney Houston, Toto, Michael Jackson, all the classics! Volume was just right, loud enough for setting a great ambience, but not too loud that you have to shout to hear across a table. Finally, very solid drinks. I got a Mezcal margarita which was very solidly made. Great spot for a first date, lots of open seating, and plenty of parking along the side streets. Will definitely be back again!

Yelp
So I met up with friends that live a few. Locks over from the bar thought this would be a nice place to go to. So I Went to order and held my card at the bar. No issue all as usual now the kicker starts. So me and two of my other friends had the same issue we all had the same vodka same bartender same drink batch either this place waters it down or I don't know what else to say . All the 3 drinks same issue we all couldn't taste any alcohol in it and we all ordered martinis that's the and mine was a dirty martini like just olive juice no alcohol. So the bartender one of the menendez brothers I swear he looks like them he needed a drink of his own had a temper tantrum like a child. Took the bottle splashed it all over all three drinks said there you go toss the bottle of vodka hard on the ice. Wow is all I said he said is that good enough bye. I was like Ok whatever not going to let it ruin my evening. Now I'm about to pay and told them Wanted to pay cash they charged the card wasn't going to think anything of it. Now I see they charged me for 3 additional shots I never said give me three shots never said was additional for the extra or anything so I told them. The charge of 36 dollars shouldn't be there he said I can take off all only one I was like wtf. Ok I'll Pay it my way refunded the charge paid for it all in ones and a twenty the guy yelled at me your drunk that's what he thinks after he even served me one drink all night what just bs as I call it. Learn manners and how to run a service business. This guy was yelling at me at this point I'm heated. So I said bye I'm Leaving all good i paid what I should on the dot and he was chasing me down like a hoodlum out of the Establishment yelling to the security I didn't pay which was untrue. this place is a joke should be shut down real soon. He chased me all the way to my car trying to video me oooh wow buddy good job Karen welcome to la lucky I didn't punch you out on the street it's all fair game. But I would let myself stoop to his level I would have buried the guy I'm 230 lb and he's half the size he's lucky is all I'm saying I didn't Escalate the situation. And I drove off because the guy was chasing me down to my car I didn't want him to damage my vehicle in anyway so I did what was right in my mind as far as I know he could've had a weapon on him who knows what's not going take the chance. Next time train your Bartender correctly and to act with some tact. you're in sales and customer service so please act as if you have some common sense because you guys ruin this establishment for the way you guys treat it I know you guys don't own the business so it's kind of not fair to the owner which I hope he hears about this and deals with you guys personally whoever that was the manager tonight little Hispanic guy and the memnedez brother look alike bartender on the left of your bar. To top it off my friends told me that supposedly I only paid 35 which I did not because I counted it three times so it looks like somebody stealing from the cash register top it off or they were just trying to have my friends pay for it I don't know good thing they didn't. This place is going to hell really quick to that it looked pretty nice but you know what vibe is terrible drinks are watered down it i don't know what else to say.

Yelp
Very cool dive bar feel. Had dinner at the Japanese tapas place nextdoor right before coming to check this place out. It really gets packed later on in the evening as most bars tend to do. They have a nice outdoor lounge area as well if the weather is fair. Drinks are usual prices for cocktails and the bartenders know what they're doing. Music is kind of all over the place but I still enjoyed it! Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Don't go to the inside bar. Stay on the outside even though your selection is very limited. Was charged $50 for a double Irish mule that was not a mule and tasted like shit after waiting over 40 minutes to be served (my friend thought I left the bar it took that long to receive one drink). The bartender was extremely rude and pompous, he thought he was gods gift and told me I belonged at a dive bar because I complained about my $50 drink tasting like shit. He insisted it was because it was a double that's why it tasted bad. If it was straight whiskey I definitely wouldn't have complained but the lemon was so strong and made the taste bad. After arguing with me for five minutes whether it tasted bad because of the lemon mix that was too strong or b/c it was a double ( I LOVE whiskey and alcohol, it was the lemon that tasted bad, I've had MANY a double straight whiskeys in my life and none have tasted as bad.) I wouldn't care if I didn't spend $50 DOLLARS on ONE double drink, especially when their specialty cocktails were $17 each. The bartender kept trying to shame me that I was at a "craft" bar and that is why the cost was so high. BS when all your specialty holiday cocktails cost $10 less than a regular traditional cocktail.... and then to berate me and make me feel less than after saying there was simply too much lemon in my drink and if he could remake it? Sorry for being a patron, never will if that's the only guy on staff, I will only take drinks from David and staff in the back patio, who totally redeemed the respect for me for this establishment. The bartender INSIDE that was rude to me is SLIGHTLY OLDER with a slightly grey beard working the evening shift on 12/21. RUDE RUDE RUDE. What an arrogant person, my friend was standing next to me as he was giving me shit for telling him my drink did not taste good (as she was the one who encouraged me to tell him my drink tasted bad in the first place, when I almost didn't bc I didn't want to cause a fuss... but I paid $50 so she suggested I say something). She was appauled as well and went immediately to a different bartender, (a younger friendlier man who served her much faster than the rude older gentleman who had served me...there were only 2 bartenders on staff at this inside bar...) after seeing how difficult and rude my bartender was. BEYOND RUDE, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOWNRIGHT COCKY ASSHOLE. Happy to remove or revise this review should management choose to rectify this experience and ensure it won't happen again....as David is still super awesome and I would love to attend this venue if my experience is anything but the one I had tonight with the rude guy inside. I only came here bc a friend chose this spot, I live 5 mins away and would like to come again as long as I know it won't be a repeat of tonight. David and the kitchen staff on the back patio is what saved you from receiving a 1 star review tonight so you should thank them and have a chat with your inside man. If he's too busy or too better than his patrons to provide a nice vibe then you should probably lose him. I told the rude bartender that I would complain to the owner about charging me $50 for a double traditional cocktail and then his rude behavior, he told me the owner was around but would not tell me what the owner looked liked so I could locate them. Later I asked other staff to speak to the owner and they said the owner was not on site.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......Thank you?

Yelp
Don't bring your bike, Scooter, or other pedestrian modes of conveyance. This bar is for people who drive automobiles only. They pick and choose when your money is good here and you are at their whim completely. They have zero standards or accountability whatsoever. If they completely change and start allowing people with alternative modes of transportation, it will only be because of this terrible review. I am manager at a actual successful bar and restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. This is a silent prayer at culinary excellence fallen on deaf ears. Those who think this place is good, probably live here and have no other choice. Pity.

Yelp
The bar is literally in an alley has DJS and a very speakeasy vibe! Some of the most professional bartenders and service staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
