Google
Stopped by the Alleycat midday with the family and noticed the new Globally-Inspired rice bowl menu. Decently priced and great-sized portions. We tried the Athens Bowl, Rio Bowl, and Chihuahua Bowl, but I liked the names of the others (Tokyo Bowl, Seoul Bowl, and Hollywood Bowl). Delicious! I highly recommend checking them out.

Google
Super cool coffee shop to hang out and do work, homework, or play board games. Lots of seating and cool atmosphere. The coffee and smoothies were good. The food options were pretty limited, especially for celiacs. Definitely recommend to hang!

Google
I love to seek out coffee’s shops that are cool looking and have a great vibe, but honestly this only has a cool esthetic. My avocado toast was laughable, my drink was made incorrectly and the barista was not friendly at ALL. I understand being short staffed or not properly closed the night before ( I heard all about it from my table), but it doesn’t take much effort to be kind to the patrons coming in.

Google
A pleasant and cozy spot next to the university campus. The coffee is delicious and there are snack options available. Worth choosing.

Great coffee. Chill atmosphere and great service.

Google
Went Thanksgiving day when everywhere else was closed, and it’s such an adorable spot—very quiant/comfortable, the drinks are amazing, and the worker was kind (and quick!!)

Google
This is such a quirky chill coffee shop. Our daughter is a grad student at CSU & met us here before class. Love the healthy options for food, the smoothie was perfect & so were our hot drinks Love all the random art

Google
This place is a great place to study, write a paper, or just hang out. It is open till midnight. The staff is always friendly and prompt. Prices are reasonable for the food and drinks. I got the meat lovers pizza. It was covered in meat and cheese. It was slightly on the greasy side but it was still delicious. The club sandwich is good. It's toasted and comes with chips. The only down side is the music is sometimes too loud and there is inappropriate graffiti/tags/comments on the walls in certain places. Note, parking is limited and temprature control is completely random. Oh, pizza is no longer, they serve bowls instead. P.S. Every time I've been here I've seen/met other motorcycle riders. Who all have been very cool.

Yelp
Totally casual vibe. Great pastries and I recommend the Red Eye or the matcha brews. Great music and the baristas are really great people. I will be back here next time in town. Loved it.

Yelp
Was in town for my sister's graduation and she brought us here, her local haunt. Coming in felt like stepping back into the 90s in best way possible, you really don't get places like Alleycat anymore. There's a lot of space and places to sit. The selection of teas blew my mind! The prices are reasonable and it's really cozy. Someone else had mentioned the gender neutral bathrooms, but the artwork in them was beautiful. What I really loved was there was a place to get local zines. Again, I felt transported back in time in such a lovely way. I got my tea, and we hung out. It was pretty great and I recommend it to anyone looking for a little respite whether they're studying for their tests or just looking to get out of their house and meet people.

Yelp
Busy cafe with a ton of seating. Also a lot of outlets which was nice. Just got an Italian soda which was pretty good.

Yelp
If you're looking for THE BEST CHAI IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, this is the place to go!!! Ask for a half sweet half spicy chai and omgggggggg LITERALLY THE BEST! My sister and I drove all the way from Arizona and absolutely had to stop here before we hit the road. The only thing I can recommend is to bring back the coffee grounds in the chai shake... you guys used to make it like 13 years ago and we always came here for it! Very nostalgic Thank you for the incredible service and wonderful beverages!

Yelp
What a delightful establishment! Came for coffee and a bite to eat on a Saturday morning. It's a vibe! Service was amazingly friendly and the restaurant itself is clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Well this was an unexpected treasure! The outdoor signage gives no inkling to the treat that awaits you. Although somewhat loud from a music perspective this is an eclectic spot to study, work or gab with pals. There are well lit booths and a variety of tables including a few made of slabs of tree. You order at the counter and although drinks are made upstairs (wide variety of coffee and tea) any food gets sent up from downstairs (I'm not even sure what's down there!). Once you are at your booth or table, it seems you can be there for literally hours without being bothered. I got the grilled cheese, which was a little over toasted on one side (a panini press I think) but was otherwise good. Prices were very reasonable. The bathrooms are overtly gender neutral. The ceilings are covered with art. They also have a whole shelf of games/books and coloring supplies to keep everyone occupied. If I lived in FoCo I would probably be a regular.

Yelp
Stopped in on CSU parents weekend. Madhouse but staff handled it with ease. Got Blue Caroline Smoothie . Very good. Nice Coffee House ambiance. Opens early and closes late. Got brownie cheesecake for a snack. Highly recommend to stop in and try.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a whim because it was close to some plant nurseries we were visiting. It's a very interesting location with eclectic decor and a great menu. The barista was great. The homemade strawberry pastries are absolutely to die for. Buttery, flaky perfection with just the right amount of sweet strawberry jam filling. The honey buzz latte was delicious as well. I will absolutely be back the next time I am in town.

Yelp
I absolutely love love love LOVED the atmosphere of this place and as far as I'm concerned this is my top coffee shop in Fort Collins ( for me anyway ) The fact that you can sit there.. along with college students and work on your "stuff" and nobody looks at you weird .. is a Big Plus. I remember the days of Internet cafes and how they used to be "a thing". The energy of this place is fantastic and that in itself actually MAKES me want to learn something. So much to enjoy in this town .... The college kids bring the vibe & the energy and I'm thriving on it. Their matcha latte however ..,,was weak and had hardly any matcha powder in it.... I will not be ordering that again from them.... There are other things on the menu so I'm sure I'll be fine :-)

Yelp
Great coffee, rustic decor and cool vibe - spent a couple of hours working remotely here while visiting CSU kiddo.

Yelp
We came here on vacation for breakfast one morning and this was probably one of my favorite stops from the trip! The atmosphere was awesome with plenty of spots sit throughout the place. The staff were all very upbeat and fast working even though it was quite busy. We got a smoothie that had peanut butter, bananas and some other stuff as well as an iced coffee which were both incredible! We also got a breakfast burrito which we still talk about often because it was one of the best we've had. I loved this place and would recommend it to everyone in the area. GO HERE!

Yelp
Never having been here before it was not clear from the outside what it would be like once we went inside. This coffee house is upstairs in an older facility. Once we went in, it was an amazing eclectic variety of decorations from various genres. The place with packed with younger college students all diligently working together or by themselves while enjoying the food And drinks of the coffeehouse. This was an awesome find. The coffee was creative and flavorful. But the atmosphere was definitely something that would be hard to find someplace else. If you're not sure where to go for coffee and unique environment to capture the feel of Fort Collins, I would definitely recommend stopping by Ally cat Café.

Yelp
This place is great for studying and having a pot of tea. The ambiance is very cozy and welcoming.

Yelp
I LOVE this place, I've been going here for years and years. If anyone from out of town comes to visit me this is one of the places I bring them to. I just had a really strange interaction with a couple of baristas however, one of my favorite parts of the Alleycat is that it is one of the few third spaces here in Fort Collins and it's a great place to get some work done. I just learned today that they don't allow outside food. I've been coming here for years and I've snacked and ate here from other restaurants often but today I got fussed at for eating some outside food. I did purchase a drink from them and tipped the workers earlier I just also wanted to eat some mac n cheese which they don't serve. I don't really understand why they couldn't just mind their business its not that deep nor was I bothering anyone. I also have not noticed any signs indicating that they don't allow outside food or beverages. The baristas also keep giving me dirty looks, like guys I'm really sorry for offending you by my mac n cheese, respectfully can you please just put the milk in the cup and leave me alone.

Yelp
I found this place after having brunch in FoCo today. It's not easy to find so for all of you GPS users, beware! When you do find it, you're in for a real treat. This has been one of the best coffee shops I visited while a Colorado resident. They're located in an alley, of course, and their establishment is upstairs. So, look up but don't look too far up. You may miss it. You will need to ascend a staircase to access the front entrance. What would really be cool is a cat or two hanging around this place. I recommend parking on a side street and walking in. The walk in from the street is pleasant. The building has an old soul feel to it. There is a hipster vibe to it as well. LOVE the art deco on the ceilings. Every part of the ceiling is covered with paintings. There is also plenty of seating inside. They have a large section of two to four seater booths. There are unisex restrooms as well which are clean and not trashed. They have a nice bar area to sit at while doing work on your laptop and enjoying your beverage. It's nice to see staff at work making various beverages and food. I ordered a Golden Milk. It's made with various spices, honey and whole milk. Turmeric is one of the spices they use in the beverage. I've had Golden milk before. It's really good here. They also offer it for dine in or to go. When ordering dine in, the beverage is served in a ceramic mug. Mine was served in a nice healthy sized cappuccino mug. The food looks good here. It's nice that you can see them making the food in front of you rather than a hideaway kitchen. I must say too that staff is hardworking here. The staff member who took my order was friendly and engaged me in conversation as well. I also didn't need to wait long for my beverage to be made. I used the restroom and by the time I walked back to the pickup area, it was sitting there freshly made with a post it note on it. My only drawback with this place, other than it's not easy to find is, the noise level. They could turn the music down a few notches. I loved the folk and other genres of music played. Great choices for this place! Again, there are plenty of places to sit at. This is a great meeting place for friends or a date. I also saw many patrons with their laptops on, headphones on as well, and typing away solo. So, this place has a nice community feel to it as well. I would return here for my next trip to FoCo. If you haven't been here, I strong recommend visiting. It's worth the visit! Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
I fell in love with Fort Collins because of this coffee shop. Alleycat was my favorite thing we did on this trip to Colorado. I wish I could bring it home with me. First of all, the aesthetic was incredible. Its artsy vibe was very cozy. Alleycat is on the second level of a cute building covered in ivy. Inside, each ceiling tile was designed by a different artist. It's the perfect spot for people watching and counting ceiling tiles. I came Sunday late morning. It wasn't too busy right at 10, but a longer line formed the later it got in the morning. It seemed there were only two baristas there for over 20 orders. They did an amazing job! Service was pretty quick for a ratio like that. We had a small hiccup with our Avocado Toast order. We had been told it would come out in two minutes, and waited almost 20 minutes. When I asked, the barista apologized and let me know customers sometimes take the wrong order. They expedited my order and gave me a free drink voucher. Such great customer service for the pressure they were under! Here's what we tried: Matcha Latte: YUM! I ordered this with Oat Milk and Vanilla. I find a lot of places will make this drink order too sweet or not mix the powder enough. Alleycat's Matcha was just right! It was so delicious. Cappuccino: The coffee was ok. Felt like it may have been a little bit older since we got there before the crowd. Chai Latte: We tried their signature famous chai! It was way too sweet for us. The condensed milk overpowered the chai flavors. Avocado Toast: I can't help but judge myself a little when I order this at a restaurant. I did NOT do that at all when eating this. It was so worth the wait. The focaccia the avocado is served on was so fluffy and flavorful. I ate a little more than I needed because I loved this so much. I highly recommend stopping by this magical coffee shop! It was the PURRfect way to start my morning.

Yelp
Generous portions, great drinks, and a quirky, fun atmosphere! The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I love the vibe of this coffee shop, and it's a great place to study. Love the drink I've gotten here, and the atmosphere has helped me be productive!

Yelp
on my first visit i didn't feel welcomed at all, but I don't like to discriminate based off of first impressions so I went again and with my kids this time. it felt off just like the fist time. our coffees were in chipped cups (not sanitary), and when I asked for a paper cup, the barista presses the lid on with her bared thumbs right where I would put my lips to sip my coffee. at that point I felt brown folks are not welcomed in this place.

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times, and it's my favorite go-to spot for focusing on work, even though it can get pretty loud. It's very eccentric in atmosphere and they have an amazing array of teas and coffee. I've never received anything less than amazing service from them as well. Sometimes when it gets crazy, drinks can take a minute. But it's always worth the wait.

Tabitha B.

Yelp
I really loved the eclectic, artsy style of this coffee shop. I also am a fan of their hours, I love a coffee shop that stays open late- I haven't been able to find many post-Covid. However, I have to give 3 stars because of how noisy it is. It doesn't seem to have the "chill" coffee shop vibes that I enjoy. The barista who took my order was monotone and seemed bored/annoyed. All of the tables were dirty as well. I really love the building it's located in, however. The coffee was good, but not the best latte I've ever had. It seemed pretty average if I'm being honest.

Ash N.

Yelp
Bummed to say that this was probably one of the worst lattes ive had :( i got the pink panther but could not taste the syrup at all, and the minimal taste of the espresso i got left a bad aftertaste. My boyfriend got a blackberry italian soda but the flavor was also very lacking. For the price we paid, very much not worth it. Even if it was cheap id say not worth it! Was pretty fast service though, even though it was busy

Danielle D.

Yelp
The food there good but is mainly breakfast/pastry/lunch style, I personally come here later at night to study and get some homework done. Lovely creative flowing environment! Great service nice seating, amazing workers!
google avatar

Leanna K.

Yelp
Love Alleycat! It can get pretty loud and crowded though so get there early for a table! Wifi works well, I come here for work a lot. Pleaseeee do yourself a favor and get the club me sandwich! It's a good portion and comes with chips or hummus. Their vegan homemade focaccia it comes on is amazing! The mayo pesto sauce on this is bomb too. I always add avocado too. Vibe is cool and there's fun are all over the ceiling and tables. One of my favorite coffee shops.

Yelp
Hole in the wall, extremely cute, small homely coffee spot? Um look no further!!! Alley cat cafe delivers!! Trying to recreate your own version for ~Friends~ the hit 90s tv show set in a small cafe? Look no further your found your spot where you can laugh and giggle the days away! So for the food I got a cappuccino me Lady got the hot chocolate the boxes were absolutely checked. We split a bagel and a grilled cheese - me lady really really appreciated the grilled cheese the bread was flavorful, I didn't so much like the bread but to each their own. But yeah all in all we will return for some good olde ~friends~ vibing and jibing gotta reconnect with those 90s what a freaking time to be living!

Orion K.

Yelp
Alleycat cafe is a cozy, quaint place that has plenty of seating for everyone! The service was quick and the coffee tasted great!

Raigan P.

Yelp
Amazing service! The only hiccup I had was the website some things are discontinued so I'd hope for the menu to be updated soon

Yelp
Been to AlleyCat about 10 times. Pros- eclectic, a lot of seating, coffee is pretty good and they offer a decent food selection for a coffee shop. Visual ambiance is funky and fun. Cons- can be loud, can be hot as they don't seem to have AC and it's on a second level. I seldom feel welcomed by baristas here, and at times they seem rude. Often appear to have baristas lounging around , gossiping and I have heard cursing from baristas when seated across the room. Considering how long it takes for drink and food to be prepared, seeing staff not take their work seriously can be frustrating when you are hungry or need caffeine! For a college coffee shop atmosphere, cursing not a big deal but I would pause before bringing certain people here like kids or those who don't want to overhear cursing from unfriendly baristas. Not the cleanest place. If you haven't tried Little Bird Bakeshop, they have a friendlier vibe and are cleaner but only offer 1 hour free wifi.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite cafe for a decade. As an eves dropping kind of person, I relish listening to students stories and debates. Friendly baristas make my morning time extra nice!

Spt 12334 1.

Yelp
Sky sucks and should be fired. He makes horrible drinks every single time I go in. If I see him working, I walk straight out because I know my drink is going to be bad. Could be a 0/10 or a 20/10 depending on who is working. That's my only reason for giving a 4 star instead of 5. Everyone else that works there is super friendly and great baristas. Highly recommend getting a redeye shake, golden milk, or ginger tea. They make their chai in house and it's the best that I have ever personally had. There is more seating since they took out the middle section of booths, so that is also a plus if you want to go study.
google avatar

Lilith F.

Yelp
This place is so cute! Sat down to charge my phone and get some work done and had a delicious house special latte. I totally recommend for a spot to hangout near CSU!

Lynn H.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops when in Fort Collins. Proud "wearer" of their t-shirt, too! I live the space and the drinks and cinnamon rolls are heavenly!
google avatar

Corrigan K.

Yelp
A very chill atmosphere. It's a great spot for getting some work done while enjoying a drink. I had the iced matcha and it was delicious.
google avatar

Nic P.

Yelp
Baristas are not DJs. Stop flipping between ten different genres and stopping a song ten seconds in. Pick a couple genres and make a playlist. People come to study and work, they need background noise, not dance music playing so loud you can't hear yourself think or talk in a group. The temp is always too hot or cold inside. Food is great, need more gluten free + vegan options. Coffee is mediocre. Baristas are always rude.
google avatar

Yelp
Alleycat Cafe is a Fort Collins staple. I have spent many hours here working on homework, reading a book, or playing games with friends. The warm atmosphere made those hours fly by, and I'm sure the coffee helped with that too. I feel like it's safe to say that the food is probably the worst aspect of this place. Not that the food is incredibly bad by any means, it's just your standard cafe food. The "hot" sandwiches have more substance than flavor. The pastries try their hardest to not be too sweet. And the burritos are solid. As for the coffee Alleycat does a good job. I'd like to point out the tea section as well, they bolster a strong selection of loose leaf tea. To top it off they have a great spicy chai that I always recommend. Alleycat Cafe has a lot going for it. And whenever I'm back in town It's always a place I like to stop by.

Euan P.

Yelp
Really good music and fun atmosphere! Was helped by barista Leah(?) who was really nice and helpful even though it was hella busy and stressful :)

Conner C.

Yelp
This is a really cool place. I personally thought there'd be actual cats but I'm not disappointed. The interior is definitely maximalist but in a comforting way. The vibe is really nice. Also very good tea and service.

Char 1.

Yelp
The workers are very nice. I got an iced latte that tasted burnt and I waited 30 mins for my food that I got after I asked to switch my order to to-go. The sandwich was eh and was $10 for the smallest sandwich possible. I got the club me and couldn't even taste the pesto. Would not go back. Don't recommend. Also there's a lot of awkward first dates happening which is entertaining.
google avatar

Edgardo M.

Yelp
The place is amazing. The coffee is amazing. The burrito was good too. Only problem was service. I saw people get their order before me. I get they know each other. You can see it and they might be regulars. But when it takes 30min for a bagel and cream cheese, and a burrito that isn't made from scratch, you can tell who's who. They did give me a free cup of coffee as an apology, that was cool. But it's sad when you see others being taken care of quickly and you're out to the side. The coffee again was amazing!! My coffee got cold before I got my food.
google avatar

Avi S.

Yelp
Really cool artsy atmosphere to read and write. Best music playlist of a coffeehouse. But Noisy. Unfortunately their "famous" chai tea is really just sugar milk. It was soo painfully sweet I couldn't taste any tea. Actually all their "lattes" seem to be sugar drinks. Why do people like to drink pure sugar??

Reeve H.

Yelp
Cute place but pets are not welcome and staff is unwilling to accommodate. Also, many other patrons are extremely rude.
google avatar

Asia B.

Yelp
they got the beans. lot of places for coffee around here but none of these other places have got the beans. beautiful fresh baked pastries daily, friendly staff, classic chai, good smoothies. it can get incredibly crowded in there, but they have a tonnn of seating to try and accommodate for that. cute artwork everywhere and even though it can be loud it's a consistent loud that can turn into white noise making it a good place to get some work done. get the cinnamon bun if they've got em that day.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Custom coffees. Eclectic. I have been in twice so far. Excellent breakfast burrito. I will share this meal with my partner next time as it is large. They also have a gender neutral restroom. I thought this was weird. Why not just have a simple restroom sign. I felt different here as many of the customers are extreme liberals. Being a male who is transitioning from Caucasian to Hispanic I should not have to endure mental anguish for my decision.

Cinco L.

Yelp
Nice place... unfortunetaly everytime I've been there it's constant pop music blaring loud at 7 am in a college cafe.
google avatar

Wade R.

Yelp
I ordered a Mocha and breakfast panini'. The service matched the food, both were amazing. Highly recommend stopping and checking it out.
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Coffee here is whatever. My friend also said the coffee beans look like the roast is not done in a very pure manner. Building is old, and it doesn't look like they maintain it very well. There's spider webs everywhere. Service is also really slow.
google avatar

Corey L.

Yelp
I stopped in at Alleycat Coffee House in Fort Collins, Colorado tonight during a date night and a long walk. The interior temperature was surprisingly warm, at least 15 degrees hotter than the pleasant evening outside. Despite the missing cortado on their menu, I asked the young lady if she could whip one up, and she did a pretty good job. I'd rate the experience a solid 4 out of 5. I'd definitely recommend it for a quick coffee to go. If you choose to sit inside and have your coffee, you must be an alien!
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
Service is pretty bad, lots of flies in restaurant. Takes a long time to get food/coffee. Rather had gone to Starbucks. Took like 45 minutes to get order
google avatar

Shay S.

Yelp
Great coffee and great breakfast! Avacado toast was good but the red eye cat was even better.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a weekend trip in Fort Collins, coffee was great! Definitely recommend the Honey Buzz Latte! Ambiance is so unique and eclectic!
