"Allred's is a mid-mountain restaurant accessible via the town's free gondola. Known for its floor-to-ceiling windows, it offers spectacular mountain views and farm-to-table cuisine paired with excellent wines. In winter, it features a prix fixe dinner menu, while the bar offers a la carte options." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"If you think food tastes better al fresco , wait until you grab dinner at altitude. Allred’s Restaurant sitshalfway up Telluride Ski Resortand is only accessible by gondola—from Lift 4 all the way up to San Sophia station. Once there, you should order the elk strip loin, marinated in juniper bourbon and served with sunchoke purée and black cherry compote, or the crispy Scottish quail with blue-corn cornbread and lingonberry-jalapeño sauce. Both are divine, especially when eaten with an eagle’s-eye view of the entireTelluridevalley."

Not very busy for 7:30 pm reservation on Sunday of MDW. Even with crowds from the film festival in town. Service was fantastic, I loved the cauliflower soup, the surf & turf and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Can’t beat the gorgeous views. Gondola ride up to the restaurant is also a lot of fun.

Food was excellent for price. $105 for 3 course meal! We both had the elk and it was phenomenal. You get to ride in the gondola to get to this restaurant. Decor is very ski town/western. Where we were seated kind of felt like a cafeteria and was a bit loud. Could be easily fixed and dampened with some nice privacy screens with sound dampening integrated. Sommelier was so sweet and very helpful!

Excellent service with drink orders timed perfectly with each course. The atmosphere is unparalleled -- at over 10,000 feet of elevation the mountain views do not disappoint. The food was excellent as well. Eating at Allreds is a memorable experience!

Celebrated anniversary here and super impressed with my experience. Food was exceptional with highlights being the elk and sticky toffee cake as I'm sure many have already mentioned. Even bread service was very good! What I am most impressed with is after my partner received his wagyu that was overcooked (which we didn't ask to send back), the manager came over to apologize and confirmed it was indeed overcooked and offered a complimentary menu item. Allreds is amazing and the view is spectacular. Service is top tier. Food items pictured are oysters, bread service, lamb (recommend) and wagyu in the back (don't recommend).

Dined with my ski group and my rating covers all 6 of us. I had the short rib which was super the most amazing beer salad. Worth the $$$$ price

Was super excited to try given the great reviews, but my experience wasn’t great. I ordered the dry-aged ribeye medium-rare, but it came out medium-well. When I asked for a replacement, the server rudely insisted I cut into the center to check. Everyone on our table agreed it was not medium rare. Also, I’ve had many dry-aged ribeyes before, and this was by far the worst—tough, overcooked, and lacking flavor. Aside from the view, I’m not sure it’s worth the price. They call it fine dining, but it felt rushed and impersonal—our server clearly seemed ready to leave. We saved it for our last night in Telluride to celebrate and it was disappointing.

Had a great meal here with nice mountain vibes. Excellent wine list and the pre-fix menu is a great experience at the end of a tiring ski day. Came with a party of 6 including 2 teens and there was something for everyone. The wine list is quite extensive with some amazing options, but decided to go with a skin contact ribolla gialla as my brother and sister-in-law have never had an orange wine and wanted to try one. We also added the Alaskan king crab to our meal which really hit the spot. I had the Colorado lamb which was incredibly delicious. Was probably the priciest meal we had while in Telluride but was well worth it. Staff was very friendly too, which you don't get everywhere in the area. (Yeah, talking about Ryan, the manager at the Sheridan who is extremely snobby and judgy)

Just a first class, well rounded menu with so much to offer. Drinks, food and dessert were all as good as I’ve ever had. Incredible steaks. Delicious veggies. Unique and fun options throughout!
