This store has perfect bags: carefully designed and exquisitely crafted to be thoroughly functional and very good looking on the body. This brand's bags last and last, and the makers repair old Ally Capellino bags (which then last longer). My wife and I came in with a 12 year old, leather bag with a worn down clasp; it was quickly repaired and we left with two further, new bags, happy with our purchases and our very delightful encounter with charming and expert members of staff- thank you to them all.

Delightful shop in East London’s prettiest shopping street. (Calvert Street feels like a cute mix of Greenwich Village and Copenhagen)! I have several items from Ally Capellino, all beautifully designed, and wonderfully functional. (I’m a cyclist, so carry a small bag for tubes, phone, levers, and have a rucksack for work commutes or overnight stays). The shop itself is beautifully arranged, with uncluttered displays and we’re always made to feel welcome by the relaxed, helpful and kind people who work there.

I have been a customer for some time now, and have bought a few rucksacks and cross body bags, a pouch, washbag and umbrella, over the years. Ally's products are both thoughtfully designed and well made, and she has some playfully colorful offerings too, for the more adventurous shopper. Before you buy any old rucksack, you should definitely do yourself, and your belongings, a favour and give this shop a visit.

I've lived in London all my life and Ally Capellino's shop in Shoreditch is one of my favourites. Always a great atmosphere and I just love the bags. I've had a Hoy in Mustard for 5+ years and a Black waxed cotton backpack for 10+ years. Both are still in excellent condition even after many years of use in all weather. I love them. So stylish, so functional. With pockets in all the right places, to swing round and reach your keys on the doorstep etc. They've thought of everything! I have a really good AC washbag too. Had the great pleasure of meeting founder Ally in the shop and loved hearing some of the back stories from her 40+ years at the helm of British fashion industry. Iconic brand, brilliant products. And love that they offer repairs too!

[updated from 1 to 5 star after company response] Original: Customer service is awful. I bought a bag here last year, which is lovely. It is still in warrantee and needs a small repair. I’ve emailed 5 times and called every day for the past week, leaving messages, but have had absolutely no reply from customer care. Can you please fix this! I love my bag and would really like to put a higher review up Update: I got a call from the owner directly who did everything possible to fix my situation. Everything has now been sorted swiftly. The problems had arisen because of staff changes which have now been fixed. Thank you! As I said above, I really love my bag, and am delighted to change this review

Awful customer service from Ally Capellino repairs and customer service team. Dropped bag off in early August for zip repair and told max 6 weeks, 3 and a half months later still not repaired. No heads up for delay , slow on emails and poor rapport - such a shame a quality brand now has poor service . Won’t be using the repair services again!!!

I have loved this bag for so long but I’m pretty disappointed in that the zip has broken on two bags now. The second time it happened was on the front pouch and has no reason to suddenly break. I emailed the support team in good spirit to see if they could help out with the situation but I’ve had no response for over 2 weeks now. Really gutted that the zip has broken twice on a bag that costs £200 with no customer support.
