We went here on a Saturday after a quick trip to Ikea (yes I actually said ‘quick’). There were a bunch of people outside but we were seated in under 20 minutes. I ordered the tuna salad on toasted rye and my husband got two over easy eggs, bacon, and pancakes. He also ordered a coffee, which came out steaming hot. The wait for the food was a bit long, but that was because it was an extremely crowded restaurant, so I totally understand and it was definitely worth the wait. The food was hot delicious and filling. The portion sizes are large and did not disappoint. The tuna salad sandwich was just amazing. It reminded me of old time deli sandwiches that I used to have and the pickle was crunchy kosher and the homemade coleslaw was a delight. My husband says the eggs were wonderful. The bacon was delicious and the pancakes were huge, like literally the size of my head. I tried the pancakes with syrup and they were fluffy and so tasty. We had plenty of leftovers to bring home. I definitely recommend this place and will be back again. If enjoyed my review, please give it a star. Many thanks. The

What a great little find. Food was awesome. Service was amazing. Everyone was very kind and very attentive. It’s a must for great comfort food with specials all the time

I have been going to Ally’s for four years now. I absolutely loved it and would go all of the time to get blueberry pancakes. I haven’t been for a couple of months, and I went back this last week. I was disappointed for the very first time! I don’t know why they tasted differently, but they were no longer fluffy and delicious. You could get this pancake anywhere. It absolutely broke my heart. If the restaurant is reading this, please go back to the old recipe… It was so much better! I originally posted three stars for a rating because of what I typed above however they have changed their pancakes back to what they were. I went back today to have my blueberry pancakes and I was so happy that they’ve gone back to what they were. Thank you so much for listening to me and changing back to the old recipe. They were once again delicious!

We have been going to Allys for the past two years and there’s no place like it! Comfort, home made breakfast favorites! The weekly pancake specials are phenomenal; the corn cake pancakes are our favorite! The staff is so nice and welcoming and makes you feel like family! No other breakfast place like it!

Google
I can't say more about how I like this place. I don't normally give five stars. The only thing bad I can say is that they're too quick. The food was excellent and the prices are great. The only thing I didn't like was the eggs were cooked on high heat, so they were a little brown on the edges. But they were fresh eggs, a nice big golden yolk. I'm from New England and have not had such a good egg in years. The waitress had an earpiece and the kitchen could hear everything she was saying. So as she was ordering they were making our breakfast. They had plenty of stuff. We never had to wait for coffee or them to clear our plates or anything. It's a little far from my neighborhood but we will definitely be regulars. And I have to say the management is amazing. The people when they have nothing to do. Were cleaning and working. If every place had more managers out there like this, It would be a lot more enjoyable to go out.

We’ve been coming here for many years because every thing we’ve ever ordered has been great. Their matzo ball soup is fantastic and we’ve brought it home countless times when someone was under the weather. Today was breakfast. They make their own corned beef hash and it’s fantastic. Over medium eggs are always perfect. Grits are always identically perfect and the staff is just lovely and efficient.

I will be avoiding this restaurant never to return but really felt the need to provide a warning to potential customers. When you walk in the ceiling is disgusting, the tiles are stained from multiple leaks and the others are discolored a brownish yellow, especially over the area where the servers bring out the food. Looks like they got the ceiling tiles from a smoky bar. As soon as I bit into the turkey sandwich I could taste a foul pungent smell. I looked inside and the meat was brownish, grayish yellow with an iridescent sheen. The bacon was rubbery. The pickle was mushy and had become translucent. The server was very sick and was coughing a lot in the dining room, coughing and then delivering the plates of food, no hand washing observed. The price on the check was higher than the menu price, they need to update the menu, it said the cost was $10.95 but they charged $11.35. The printed check/bill/receipt says that the price is the "discounted cash price and non-cash payments will incur an additional 3.5% card fee" although it doesn't appear they charged an additional fee on top of the overpriced rotten sandwich. No one asked if the food was enjoyable and they didn't care that the sandwich was being returned half uneaten, I was only asked if I wanted a box. The menu says "Our turkey is the real deal", I cant get that nasty turkey flavor out of my mouth. Be aware, looking at their most recent June 2025 inspection: High Priority - Time/temperature control for safety food, other than whole meat roast, hot held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Observed at steam table in kitchen - gravy (124F - Hot Holding); brown gravy (118F - Hot Holding) as per operator items held out of temperature for approximately 1 hour. Employee reheated items up to 165F **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation** , AND High Priority - Toxic substance/chemical improperly stored. Observed on shelf across from grill, pack of cigarettes stored next to clean utensils and pita bread. Employee removed and stored properly. **Corrected On-Site**

We’ve been coming to Ally’s for the past couple of years, and nothing else compares! It’s got that cozy, homemade breakfast feel that keeps us coming back, and their weekly pancake specials are out of this world, especially the corn cake pancakes, those are our favorite! The staff is always so warm and friendly, making you feel right at home every time, truly a one-of-a-kind breakfast spot!

Yelp
The best comfort food that I've ever tasted! My dear friend put me on to this gem. Food and service were top tier. I can't wait until the weekend to visit again. Inside was very homey with a dated feel. I felt like I was in my grandmothers dining room. We were seated within a minute even though inside was packed. Our waitress came over to take over drink orders and have us a few minutes to go over the menu. I knew exactly what I wanted- that fried steak was calling my name. You have the options of choosing one of 3 sides and how you'd like your eggs cooked . I chose the potatoes. The corned beef hash was so delicious. The staff was in sync as all our dishes came out really fast.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this: the food here is amazing. The eggs are always cooked to perfection, the bacon is crispy yet chewy, and the pancakes could probably win awards. The service? Impeccable. The staff is so friendly and attentive, you'd think they're secretly angling for a spot in my will. But here's the thing--this place has one glaring flaw that I simply can't overlook: no shredded hash browns. Instead, they serve home fries. HOME FRIES. I'm sorry, but home fries are the inferior, un-American cousin of hash browns. They're the awkward kid at the breakfast table that nobody really invited. Hash browns are iconic--a golden, crispy masterpiece that defines what breakfast should be. Home fries are just sad, cubed potatoes trying to be relevant. Without shredded hash browns, breakfast feels incomplete--like pancakes without syrup, or coffee without caffeine. I don't want to start my morning with disappointment; I want that beautiful crunch of hash browns that screams, "Welcome to America!" So, while this place is incredible in so many ways, the absence of proper hash browns keeps it from being truly legendary. Add shredded hash browns to the menu, and I'll be first in line to upgrade this review to 5 stars. Until then, it's 4 stars and a tear in my eye.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to stop in here. It's a small place but plenty of seating and everyone I came in contact with was really nice. I decided to get takeout which I had ordered over the phone. I got the homemade corn beef hash, and eggs that came with grits and I opted for English muffin. When I tell you that homemade corn beef hash was amazing, I came back the next day for some more. I love the fact that I can tell that they seem to use cracked eggs and not anything from a box. I definitely see myself coming back here.

Yelp
MONSTER PANCAKES... For years people kept telling me to check out this old southern charm breakfast and lunch restaurant to eat the giant pancakes located in Davie, FL. Today, I finally got the urge to take a peek at this legendary pancake. As soon as I stepped inside, a calm aura surrounded my body. This pleasant soft spoken woman named Cindy approached and told me to sit anywhere. I took temporary refuge in a relaxing booth and excitedly pondered through the simple two page menu searching for today's highly anticipated blissful offering. I inquired to Cindy about the "Anna's Choice" single giant pancake $4.25. She explained the several mouth watering topping options and decided on chocolate chip at an additional $1.75. I thought, how was this deal even possible? Within ten minutes, a massive ultra fluffy chocolate infused pancake was on my table begging for immediate consumption. I heavily poured maple syrup onto the center and watched as it slowly dripped over the edge. Without further adieu, I took a generous bite, very impressed by the hidden chocolate chips buried inside instead of the all too common weak top sprinkle. I took a second bite, then another, again and again until this mammoth pancake disappeared into the depths of my now happy belly - gym today for sure. They do offer daily specials from 7am - 2pm like Red Velvet French Toast and Biscuits & Gravy. They are weirdly closed on Wednesdays. The bathroom was very clean.

Yelp
The best place!!! We moved aeya years ago and in the neighborhood today and stopped in for breakfast. Everyone is friendly helpful and the food is outstanding

Yelp
As many times as I have been here in the past years, I was surprised to see that I had not written a review. As far as my previous experiences, they have always been good. Today was no exception. Good food and good service. There's not much to talk about today. My wife had Leo. She said it was a little heavy on the onions, but otherwise, it was very good. I had something easy. A grilled cheese with ham on wheat bread, with a side of onion rings. It was good. I also got some of their "suck it up salsa." It was great. It was really hot, but it still tasted really good. It went well with the onion rings. I really loved their salsa. I really need to eat here more often.

Yelp
I had the BEST breakfast today (9/23)! I was trying to find someplace different than where we normally go and as I was looking at their website, saw that they had Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes! Guess where we were going, lol. There were 3 parties ahead of us when we arrived but the wait wasn't bad. They won't seat you if your party is not complete. Our waitress was very nice. Food came out pretty quick and was steaming HOT and fresh! You can see the steam coming out of the coffee cup even after I added some creamer to it. The Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes were DELICIOUS ! I'm so bummed because I found out that they only have them about every 6 months. My husband's Caprese Benedict was cooked perfectly as per his request. The only thing he thought was odd was that you had hot eggs but cold cheese. It obviously didn't bother him that much because he cleared his plate. Parking isn't a problem as it's in the Shenandoah Plaza off of SR84, just west of Flamingo. We'll have to keep this place in our breakfast rotation.

Yelp
The theme here is: a secret almost too good to keep I have to give them their yearly review because quite actually one of Broward's (yes, all of Broward) best kept breakfast/brunch secret. The food and the specials are almost always 10/10! The classic items definitely have that unique Ally's touch as well. We are frequent customers and while we don't dine in always, service is quick, friendly, and attentive. The inside is a little small but almost always packed and bustling with movement. They have high chairs to accommodate little ones and are super family friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Comfy and cozy diner. Small but tasty food. Decent prices. Good customer service. You may encounter long wait for breakfast on weekends. Overall good experience.

Yelp
Spending the morning exploring parks and hiking. I worked up an appetite and why not breakfast? I opened up my Yelp app and found Ally's. I assumed there would likely be a wait but that wasn't a deal breaker. As expected there was a line but it didn't appear to be too bad. Despite the line we were seated quickly. My friend wanted French toast and eggs and our server knew exactly what plate to recommend. It was clear she was familiar with the menu . I wanted a smaller plate so I ordered the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, grits plate. It ALSO comes with a bagel?? Of course I went with an everything bagel. Before we could even get our seats warm our food was served! We couldn't believe how quickly it was prepared. Everything was great. The service, the food, our host and hostess. We also recommended Ally's to a friend that lives close by. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Outstanding service and ambiance. Delicious food. The prices are as if inflation have not happens there.

Yelp
I found this place by searching the map app because a friend wanted to meet for breakfast and I don't like the place he usually picks. I'm not saying what it is, but I don't like it. Anyway, I found Ally's and thought I'd give it a shot. Here's a tip; if you're going on Sunday, don't go late. This is more for my friend than anyone else, because he wanted to have breakfast at 10:00, which is almost lunch time as far as I'm concerned, so we comprised with 9:00. It was still too late. The place was packed. And Bobby (my friend) was late and they won't sit you until your entire party has arrived. I gave the hostess/waitress my name, and she kept checking with me to see if he arrived yet. When he did (finally), she sat us very quickly. One star is for her. Everything else was okay. It's breakfast food, so it's good, but I didn't find anything that was so amazing I'd rave about it. It was just good food. And you won't go away hungry. The portions are ample. One thing that would be nice would be if they gave you endless cups of tea like they do with coffee. For those of us who don't drink coffee, it's not really fair that we have to keep paying for additional tea bags when the coffee drinkers aren't charged more for additional coffee grounds. Just something to think about.

Yelp
Food and service great, small place but worth it. Great location . I went on a Sunday morning at 10, with 5 and a baby. Sat down at table in 15 minutes, server quick with drinks meals came correct and quick

Yelp
Love this place, go whenever I'm in town. Quick, cozy, affordable, delicious !!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Unbelievably delicious and fluffy pancakes with eggs and some great coffee. You might have to wait during breakfast hours but it's worth it. Oh also the home fries a soft and crispy yummy.

Yelp
Ally's Comfort Cafe offers the best service and breakfast in the area. This eatery has been around for years and still has the best cook in the Tri-county area, Ally herself. Ally's has a large menu selection of breakfast, brunch or lunch specials. It's always neat and clean and has excellent service. This quaint little place is nestled in the heart of Shenandoah Square, Davie, Florida.
google avatar

Kellee R.

Yelp
Bustling cafe ambiance, neighborhood-favorite cafe with good food, reasonable prices, super friendly wait staff and fast service. Comfort foods and breakfast are their bread and butter with weekday lunch specials, weekend specials and featured soups that keep the menu full of old favorites and new options. If there isn't a wait to be seated, you can be in and out lightening fast and even when there is it's rarely long ... that's important to note... If you want to take your time to linger over conversation or sipping your coffee this may not be for you. However... While I am not a fan quick table turnovers, if you have a limited lunch hour, need to get kiddos fed and get on with your next adventure or you've got people to see and things to do, Ally's staff is super-efficiently busy and if you are too, this is your kinda place! If you live in the area don't be surprised to run into your local policemen, firemen, city council members, dentist, teachers, etc. This restaurant is one of the places that gives Davie, FL a hometown feel.

Yelp
I have had Ally's on my radar for a long time and just got around to going there. We went on a Sunday after church and arrived a little after 12:30. The place looked crowded, and there were people waiting outside. But we only had a 5-8 minute wait and got a table. The place seats around 40 in close quarters. Hubby ordered the special mushroom and brie omelet (with home fries and toast), and I had the French toast. Of course, we shared both entrees. The omelet was very good; the brie added a nice flavor to mushrooms, which were plentiful. The fries were tasty, but the toast was so laden with butter it was droopy. (Next time we get butter on the side!) Although the challah French toast was decent, it didn't soak up enough of the egg/milk batter. So, we ended up with more of a bready/toast taste. We liked the food, and the service was excellent (with Kim as the main person and others bringing our plates and picking stuff up left and right). We want to go back to try the legendary pancakes and perhaps some of the luncheon fare. P.S. There is a small charge for using a credit card, which we were not told about. (I saw the extra charge after the card was run.) The person I asked about the extra charge said there is a sign at the register indicating the surcharge. (Our table was nowhere near the register, so we never saw the sign.)

Yelp
Another solid basic breakfast place with plenty of favourites. Prices are right, the service is top notch (it really is) and the food quality was where it should be. They will have a crowd in here and booths are limited to parties of 2 of more (please be considerate) There is a small 4 stool bar in the back if you would rather sit there for a quick meal. One thing to note is that they will not sit you unless your party in complete which made perfect sense to me. They also feature specials that will be posted on the board. Plenty of parking because they are located in a strip mall that can handle it. Loved the ice tea here and the portion sizes were on the large to huge side of things. Great attitude all around and you won't be asking for your bill here, they send it on its merry way long before your meal is over.

Yelp
Hole in the place with big impact! When you first walk in it has a mom and pop place feel to it. If busy you can walk towards the cashier and put your name on the list. For a weekend it was busy and waited 20 minutes but it didn't feel that long. This is a big plus for me since not many places do this they have iced coffee & it has REFILLS! For breakfast I had the chicken biscuits with homefries. The chicken was moist and super flavorful. When they first but the plate down it looked like the biscuit was dry but when you took a bite into it - that wasn't the case it was warm but not too hot and paired well with the chicken after adding grape jelly. Home fries were cooked crispy and had amazing flavor to them as well. All the staff were super attentive to us the whole time. They really work as a collective, you have your main server but when any staff member walks by they always asked if we needed anything which was a plus. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Food was awesome, best pancake I've ever had. Service was quick and kind. Perfect diner experience!

Yelp
Best breakfast off alligator alley We. Stop any time we come from naples to the east coast! Fast, friendly, delicious, CHEAP! Definitely add this amazing hole in the wall to your places to try!
google avatar

Yelp
A nice little hole in the wall local spot. Food was fast and hot. Coffee was very good. Prices were more than reasonable, which is hard to find these days. Service was great. Thank you Cindy.
google avatar

Alexandra S.

Yelp
A really nice small, family-owned business. The staff there is extremely attentive and fast, clear that everyone works as a team. Service is not slow by any means. I went for breakfast with family (6 total) on a Sunday morning at 8am and it was about 1/4 full, but continued to fill as the morning went on. For breakfast I got the pumpkin French toast. The French toast itself was amazing, but I probably wouldn't get the "pumpkin" next time. Recommend to swing by for breakfast!

A W.

Yelp
This is the best breakfast place I have ever been to. It's my #1 choice whenever we're looking for a place to eat. The specials are constantly changing and are always delicious. There is typically a wait on the weekends, but they move efficiently and get you in as quickly as possible.
google avatar

Angelica C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden treasure. It is located in a shopping plaza with a Publix and Walgreens so there is plenty of parking available. I've been here twice for breakfast and there was wait but this place is such a well oiled machine within 15 minutes you're seated with a beverage. The menu is simple and filling and they offer customizations. The restaurant it self is cozy and reminds me of a small town cafe. Everything I've had taste amazing and the portion sizes are good. We ordered the pancakes and they were HUGE and fluffy. Everything was cooked very well. The staff is very welcoming and attentive.
google avatar

Vernet P.

Yelp
Best breakfast spot when in the area. I love the fresh made corned beef hash. Get there early on weekends
google avatar

Wendy D.

Yelp
All staff was very friendly and very attentive. Food came out quickly and was hot. Busy place for breakfast but table wait was short. Would definitely go here again.

Yelp
GOOD LORD ALL MIGHTY!!! This place all tho it open till 2 pm is AMAZING. YOU HOT TO GET HERE BEFORE 2 pm breakfast preferably. My server Cindy was 100% above the rest she moved like lighting while all her tables were super happy she's like flash. The food to die for I was left breathless of the combination of taste the servings are huge I had the meat lover omelette oh lord wife had the filet mignon tacos oh lord this is what you call a whole on the wall but I mean a whole center of the earth deep in flavor. I recommend immediately people. Ps get a strawberry pancakes please.
google avatar

Chip R.

Yelp
Service is friendly and incredibly fast. Food is hot and yummy. There is nothing bad on the menu it is just a matter of preference. Long lines on the weekends but it does move fast if you have the patience. Specials change every weekend and if it looks interesting, jump at it you shouldn't be disappointed.
google avatar

Sabrina F.

Yelp
I love going to Ally's! The service is good and fast. Plus they serve a lot of food at a good price! Perfect place if you're looking for a good diner type breakfast!!

Yelp
The fastest service I've had in South Florida. The Oreo French toast was to die for. The Greek omelette with mushrooms was delicious.

Mike B.

Yelp
We arrived about 11am on Sunday morning. There were several people waiting outside when we arrived and we could see the countertop bar area was open. We asked if we could sit at the counter and they happily said yes. The ladies were all quick to offer us menus and took our drink orders. We looked over the menu and my wife chose the Denver omelette with sliced tomatoes as her side and I decided to try the pizza burger with fries. Our meals arrived quicker than we expected especially for how busy they were. Everything tasted good but it didn't blow our socks off. Good, yes; really good, no. The service was very good and the prices are very reasonable!

Margaret L.

Yelp
Great kept secret . Great food great service. Rueben sandwich was awesome . Philly steak was great . Coleslaw very homemade

Yelp
What a friendly and great food a lot of locals is where you want to go. Stop in have a bite to eat and look around Worth the trip

Yelp
Came last week with family for lunch. They had the super bird sandwich on the special board. Was Great! We also had the philly cheese steak and chicken gyro pita. Food is always fresh and great. This place is a GEM! Breakfasts are also fantastic and reasonably priced. The people who work there are the nicest. You can't go wrong going for breakfast or lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Always amazing! Always quick friendly service and hot breakfast! Consistently good and very filling! We always leave needed a nap after a our brunch at Ally's!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice and quaint little restaurant with a warm and welcoming service. The breakfast is very much average and does the job. My server was wonderful and very comfortable environment for dining.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
The food is very good, but the price is the star here! Great place to grab a solid meal that doesn't feel like a total ripoff. They service you super quick, which makes sense since they probably need to serve at scale to thrive at their price point. But I just see that as another positive on their end. Fast, cheap, and tasty. Highly recommend.

Brian D.

Yelp
Good food ,friendly staff made you feel welcome the moment you came in. The staff was on top of making you feel at home.
google avatar

Valeria V.

Yelp
Super cutesy and homey place !! I've been going since i was a kid and it makes me happy that the place has never changed :)
google avatar

Candace R.

Yelp
Best pancakes in town. Weekend menu always has some great concoctions for breakfast and lunch although I tend to still stick with pretty basic orders. But again, their pancakes are soooo delicious. Not sure what the secret ingredient is but I think she puts an emphasis on the "cake!" Always busy on weekend mornings but wait isn't usually more than 20 minutes depending on party size. Lotsa staff, friendly and accommodating. Bathroom's clean.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Great menu at great prices! Breakfast was great and fast! The place gets packed so be patient. Hands down the best breakfast in Westin!

Yelp
12-10-21 After searching Yelp for a great new place to eat I found this place for lunch right before Christmas holidays 2021. Located in a shopping center there was plenty of free parking. Once inside this restaurant we were seated at a booth. My work colleague and I both chose the Reuben special. It came with a side of Cole slaw. Perhaps I should have ordered something else as it was just average at best. The sauerkraut made the bread slightly soggy. I couldn't finish it all nor did I want to so I left it instead. Truly not worth the calories! Again perhaps I came at the wrong day and time I had fellow Yelpers come here for breakfast and they had a love fest! As for me I am only in the area for work. So for lunch I would go somewhere else too many other restaurants in area to chose from.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Hidden in the Publix plaza but don't miss out on this place. Although I do think it's hard to mess up breakfast but this place does it good. They also serve lunch but I've never tried it. Today I got the Ally's eggs, and although the menu says it comes with a lot of onions, it was too many onions for me. The eggs came with home fries and a bagel and I also ordered a side of bacon. We also ordered a short stack of pancakes and they were delicious. This week's pancake special was white chocolate macadamia nut but we opted for the classic. The staff is polite enough but def could be more friendly. Best part is though: no dishes!
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
This morning I got the country fried steak with a biscuit. The biscuit had MOLD. After I ate half the of biscuit I noticed the MOLD. The owner was too busy cooking food to say anything to me. Yes, they only credit my meal. They really should of took care of the full check. Will not be back.

Yelp
Fast service and good food .. Pancake's were huge and tasty... I had the cream cheese pancakes and it was amazing... Excellent southern comfort breakfast... will go again...
