Alma at The Standard

Great experience for a special event. With notice, they were able to accommodate some dietary restrictions, and even followed up with some questions. The meal itself was great and not knowing what was coming next added a fun element. We were also able to split one wine pairing between two of us, which was very accommodating of them. There wasn't a course we didn't love!

It is great to see LA getting into its food in a big way and the nine course degustation will not disappoint. I can't say every dish was a favourite (carrot sorbet...?) but it was all inventive and excellently balanced - and accommodating our pescetarian request was no issue at all. staff are super friendly and attentive. a little pricey but worth a visit.

Good food. Got repeatedly insulted by a waiter who brought the wrong wine and couldn't stand being corrected. Haven't seen so rude service in an upscale place for a long time. Which is a pity, because everything else, including the other waiters were really great.

Overpriced place for regular food and motel ambiance. No idea how this place ended up on best brunch LA places list. 16$ mimosas
