I love shopping at Alma Mater, either online or in the store. The quality of their apparel is top notch. The customer service is fantastic. Brian is the best and Catherine is great, too.

TERRIBLE quality clothing. Wore their shirt a ONE time and it is already showing significant wear and tear. For $65 this is unacceptable. Clearly a defective product but ownership refused a refund because it is "outside the 30 day return window" - a rule they created, and should not apply to defective products. They offered me store credit - why would I want another horrible quality shirt? Ownership believes the level of wear shown below after a single use is acceptable.

Our company has been using this local business since we opened our doors 8 years ago. Alma Mater consistently delivers quality product at reasonable prices and in a timely manner. Highly recommend patronizing their shop.

Excellent quality shirts for very reasonable price. Though he did refuse to print me a boof shirt. Still, overall great experience. So many options, made easy with masterful guidance from tee shirt master Nick.

Would highly recommend!! Ordered some custom Nike shoes, and they turned out perfect! I live a couple hours from Gainesville, so ordered online. Online transaction was an easy process, and very quick shipping. Thank you Alma Mater!

We had them embroider company polos, and while the embroidery was done well they got our company colors incorrect. When we reached out to Lindsay she said "If you had a specific orange you needed, then you have to provide the pantone color to us or the madeira thread color number". Why it's not assumed we needed specific colors for our logo is surprising to me. If she would have said that when we sent them our logo, I would have happily provided the colors to avoid confusion, so that was honestly really weird. I don't have things embroidered often so if that is what's needed why wouldn't you guide your customer? The "orange" they used on our shirts is gold with an orange undertone. The one on the file we sent was clearly a bright orange. We have asked multiple people what color they believe it is without context as to not sway any opinion and no one is saying it's orange, unless you are in a dimly lit room. We have ordered merchandise from two other companies using the same file we sent them, and both the other companies got the colors correct. She claims they color matched our logo, they definitely did not. When she sent us our proofs, they put the digital copy of our logo over the shirts, not the colors they were intending on using otherwise it never would have been approved. The communication was not good, it took almost 2 weeks to get our "proofs" and that was because I reached out to them. Overall a disappointing experience as all that was a waste of time and money.

Hands down the best in town. Checked pricing structure and designs all over town, no other company compared. They have 100% of my business. Highly Recommended. We are satisfied with everything. Even the base shirts are of a higher quality. So easy to work with and they have hit every deadline given. The design they created was way above what I was expecting. I get compliments on how professional he has made us look. They brought a whole new level to my business. Thank you guys, keep up the great work.

Can't say enough positive things about this incredible business. Alma Mater has done all of our printing for several of our businesses over the past seven years. High quality shirts and hoodies at reasonable prices. Brian is a very talented artist and compliments are guaranteed when we wear his products. Customer service is extraordinary too. I love supporting a local business and owner who cares so deeply for our Gainesville community!

Awful quality clothing. Purchased a $65 polo, expecting to get quality that matches that price point. Shirt has significant fraying and damage after a single use.

This company is on the pricey side which only makes this matter worse. I am attaching the photo I sent them to put on 35 shirts I ordered and a photo of what they actually put on the shirt. The owner/artist decided to make a tiny logo on the design MUCH MUCH bigger without asking for my permission. Now the logo (which I only included because it was mandatory at my school) is one of the main focuses of the design. He said sorry but was not actually very apologetic about it as he started to get an attitude with me when I expressed my frustration that he would do that without consulting me first. He just kept repeating that he had to blow it up so the text in the logo could be read (which by the way is not even true because I have a shirt with that same logo and it is not as big as he made it and was still legible) but I told him I didn't care about the legibility of that small text. Who does such a drastic change without first asking? He did not even offer me a discount for the mistake and rather tried to make me feel bad about even bringing it up. The only reason I didn't push further was because the shirts are for a school organization and we needed them the next day. I will not be doing business with this company again after the way they disregarded this situation. EDIT April 22, 2016: I posted a screenshot of an email they sent out to their customers today. They are now offering a discount to people who post a POSITIVE review on Yelp or Google. It isn't a good sign when you have to offer discounts for positive reviews. If they had good customer service, they wouldn't have to specify that the reviews need to be positive. So if you suddenly start to see positive reviews (I saw one already posted today), you know exactly why.

Worst experience I have ever experienced. The staff is extremely unfriendly and plain mean. I'm so disappointed with the way I was treated here. On top of being expensive, this company (or at least the woman attending me) did not care about quality of product or customer satisfaction. I volunteer with a non profit that helps out kids with chronic heart conditions and I went in to get a simple embroidery done on stoles (for our graduating seniors) and the women just took my card did not bother to show me what the stoles looked like. Trustingly, I didn't think much of this so I paid and went to my car. While in my car I noticed the stitching was all messed up on 4 of the stoles, the lettering/sizing of the letters was HUGE (very unappealing), and overall not at all what we discussed. I went back simply to ask if there was anything we could do to fix it bc the people receiving them had dedicated four years to this non profit and would be taking this home, additionally we paid good money for these. The women was so rude and flat out said no and just looked at the door. I tried insisting but she did not care about our cause or how the fact the product was not at all what we ordered. Simply put DO NOT get your embroidery done here!!

I have taken several items here since they have opened to be screen printed and embroidered. Each item has been done beautifully. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will continue to go back!

Brian and the crew at Alma Mater have been doing work for me for years now. I've had printing done for everything from smaller, personal orders to larger, team orders...both UF apparel and custom designs. The orders have always been on time and exactly what I've asked for/expected. I also have purchased awesome shirts from local business only to find out that they get their work done by Alma Mater as well. As long as Alma Mater is around, I'll never go anywhere else for printing and embroidery.
