Upscale Italian Restaurant Lucrezia Opens at Westfield UTC | Eater San Diego

"Opened as Grupo Hunan's inaugural U.S. restaurant in Los Angeles, I describe the splashy Almarestaurant as anchoring the Grove with a casual taqueria on the ground floor and a fine-dining space upstairs, and its design—handled by Cuaik Comprehensive Design Studio—covers the architecture, interior design, furniture, and artwork." - Helen I. Google
We have found the best chilaquiles. My husband and I travel constantly and have both agreed these are the best chilaquiles we have ever had. Incredible flavor in their green and red sauces. Both were delicious. The tasajo meat was so soft and flavorful, it went perfectly with the chilaquiles. Don’t get me started on their cafe de olla and hot chocolate, both were amazing. And such a delicious mango dessert to finish off a perfect breakfast.

Loved my breakfast here! The owners came over as we were leaving to chat and could not be nicer. Definitely a spot to check out. I’ll be back. Plus there’s a lot out front with easy parking. I had the cafe de olla and memelas and my friend had chilaquiles. Everything was so delicious we forgot to snap pics. I sent her daughter in to get pics and she came back with these of the avocado tlayuda and chicken chilaquiles.

A super authentic hole in the wall restaurant! My partner and I shared the mole taquitos, memelas & picaditas! Our fav was the picaditas! Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and made to order, would definitely come back here again to try some of their other items! Also their conchas are homemade, so don’t miss out on those either!!

1. Oxoacan Holy Mole! I get overly excited when I find a restaurant that feels like home and it's not even my culture. Let's begin! 1. Service- almost flawlessly attended to and the best part is the waitress spoke only Spanish to me. I loved that. Authentic and it usually means im getting local loved food. Plus the cooks and servers were so very nice. 2. Menu - often when gazing at a Mexican or Oaxacan menu, im left leaning toward what I know. Enchiladas, tacos and burritos. Very lazy of me. But this place had a nice selection of both items I know and those I don't. I chose the Mole dish. Meat and sauces were prime time.i cleaned that plate like a pro. 3. It's a small place and somewhat new, but no doubt this is the kind of Oaxaca restaurant you shouldn't drive by or live near without trying. I give this a 5 star rating because if the flavor of the dishes I got. Oh I had a mean burrito too. Finally, look you can scavenge around LA for a delicious mom and pop shop, or just head here to be reminded what flavor really is. Bravo chef!

Google
I was lucky enough to find this restaurant via Google Maps. I haven’t had southern Mexican food since I visited south Mexico. The people were really nice and their suggestions were on point. Everything was flavorful and delicious.

Came here for the first time for breakfast and it was very good. We had huevos rancheros and 2 memelas and both dishes were superb. The service was wonderful and overall the experience in this restaurant felt like home cooking and very comfortable. I will definitely comeback again here if Im in town.

Google
What an exceptional place for authentic Oaxacan food made from scratch. Every dish was delightful and the service by Julio was above and beyond. By the end of the meal we felt like family. Best Mexican I’ve had in a LONG time. You’ve got to go here!

Google
The service provided to the client was excellent. The ambience of the restaurant brings familiarity. Ingredients tasted fresh and the presentation of the food brought upon was nice. The place is clean. The portions served were a good amount. I highly recommend this place if you are trying to taste foods from the Mexican cuisine by yourself or accompanied by friends and family. The quality of the food can be tasted through each bite, delivered with care from the cooks.

Yelp
Moving to west LA from home, I always missed my moms Oaxacan food. I visited a couple of places around Palms but this one easily became my go to spot. Not only is the food always great but the customer service is always a 10/10.

Yelp
Great food and great service. I was hesitant because I thought for sure there wouldn't be any good Mexican breakfasts on this side of town but boyyyy was I wrong. We ordered chilaquiles and 1 memela and 1 picadita combo. I asked for the meat to be cut because of a recent dental procedure and they were more than accommodating. The flavor in the memela/picadita was insane. Perfectly portioned for a morning meal and just enough to fuel you for your day. We sat outside because we had our pups with us and they helped move around the umbrellas so we weren't burning up in the sun. I will definitely be returning sometime soon!

Yelp
My wife was in the mood for chilaquiles today and our usual location is closed on Sundays. A quick Internet search brought up this restaurant and we discovered an amazing family business and enjoyed an incredible brunch today. My wife ordered delicious chilaquiles and I had French toast made with a Mexican style bread and eggs and bacon. We also had a "cafe de olla", a traditional Mexican spiced coffee. The service was excellent and we felt valued as customers. We will certainly come back.

Yelp
A must try if you are in the area or even if you are not. Authentic Oaxacan food with a husband and wife duo dishing out delicious plates! Breakfast served all day. We really felt welcomed here. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Place has a parking lot and authentic Oaxacan food. We had breakfast here. It's really a little hole in the wall. The food is tasty. They've been here 10 months and are hopeful they can make a go of the place. So give it a try. Seats about 20 inside and 5 or 6 outside. Work with doordash and grubhub.

Yelp
Best oaxacan food i have ever had! There food is truly authentic and most of their oaxacan products are exported straight from Oaxaca and it doesn't have any MONSANTO!!(Monsanto is illegal in Mexico so the product cannot contain any monsanto) I had a great conversation with the owners daughter and their story is truly beautiful ,saddening and heartfelt, her grandmother passed away and as her dying wish was to be able to see their restaurant succeed and open and have her recipes fill the tables. It is truly inspiring to hear this beautiful story and for her to be watching her kids succeed from heaven

Yelp
I had a terrible craving for chilaquiles today, and was looking for something local and Oaxaquan. So glad I found this place! The food was really good, and Julio was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Delicious food and incredibly friendly staff! We've come for breakfast a few times now, and it's delicious every time. This time we were given complimentary pastries!

Yelp
This was AMAZING - I could not recommend more highly! Julio gave us incredible recommendations and was friendly and welcoming :) The food was authentic and delicious - definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
I haven't had food this delicious since traveling out of the country. Best Oaxacan food, and now a new favorite! Soo good I almost ate the plate

Nicholas S.

Yelp
food was amazing the service was on point and friendly. The authenticity of the food couldn't be more spot on. Definitely would come back here again :)

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast. Had the memelas with steak and picaditas. Delicious, great service and quick too.

Yelp
Wonderful family-owned and run Oaxacan restaurant close to the 405 and 10 freeways. The ambience is humble and welcoming. The food feels home cooked and is extremely comforting. Portions were all generously sized and reasonably priced. I came here with family and we were all extremely satisfied with all of our food. My grandma usually doesn't finish her food but she did today! The selections we had: Barbacoa -- savory and hearty lamb stew; we were blown away by the richness of the broth and the tenderness of the lamb. Platos de carnes -- chorizo, carne asada, tasajo. Meat was cooked to perfection, with a side of beans and delicious quesillo (oaxacan cheese) to accompany, with tortillas on the side to make your own tacos if you so desire. Burrito de mole negro -- topped with a very tasty mole, a Oaxacan specialty. Next time I will try their red mole. Tlayuda -- Oaxacan classic. Like a large tostada with numerous toppings including meat and veggies. We ordered it with some of the delicious grilled chicken. Cafe de olla -- coffee with cinnamon and sugar, comforting for a cold day We hope to come back soon! Would love to try their breakfasts, enfrijoladas, and mole rojo.

Yelp
It's a cute little place. I feel like west LA has so many amazing taco places but there is more than that for Mexican food and this place fills that gap. Oaxaca food is recognized globally and a big part of Mexican culture and this place is the closest I've had to my grandma's food in west LA.

Lily R.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. It feels so cozy. Their chilaquiles and huevos are la mexicana are amazing!! Service is great and they offer discounts for being a student and paying with cash. Their cafe de la olla is great too.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Only good things to say about this restaurant! Not only was the food delicious, but the service provided by Evelyn (I hope I spelled that right) was top tier! She answered all our questions and gave amazing suggestions. We tried the Chilaquiles with green sauce, soooo good. And the Huevos rancheros, DELICIOUS! I recommend if you want flavorful authentic Mexican foods

Yelp
Great service, good food, it's Small place but the food is so authentic Oaxaca the chocolate is great.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I went in for an order of chips and guacamole. It came out to $11.39. The serving was like less than a cup with about 10 tortilla chips. I asked for more chips but felt like such a chump walking out of there. Who charges that much for a modest serving of chips and guacamole. So upset for letting this place rip me off. Please check the prices before you decide to eat here so you don't get fleeced like I did.

Walt E.

Yelp
First time and will be back. Very authentic food and very good. Nice place for lunch.
