3 Star - Great selection of tequila. But made my mezcal old fashioned with cube ice and used plain orange bitters. Could be better. Good atmosphere though.

My friends and I had a cute girls night out here and it did not disappoint! Vibe was good and the drinks were even better. Perfect for a date night or a casual meet up with friends. If you’re unsure of what to order, the bartender on duty with the impressive mustache can recommend something great.

Drinks were great and service was quick. The location is easy to get to being in San Pedro square. Atmosphere felt relaxing and love all the outdoor seating. Bartender with the mustache and ducky neck cooler was friendly too!

This bar is in a market place so although the bar specifically doesn’t have food there are plenty of places to choose from in the market place. Drinks are great and the bartender Dany is my favorite. She helps you out as soon as possible and the drinks are always good. I love coming here whenever I’m in the mood for a drink or just want to socialize.

Drinks are amazing and always fresh. Dany was able to recommend us with good shots. She recommended us Fortaleza which I’ve never had! My go to is casamigos or DJ. So glad I got to try something new she definitely knows her tequila🤩

Top notch service. Had a wonderful time. David recommended many additive free tequilas ; one I later purchased and is my new favorite. Wonderful drinks. Wonderful people. Can’t say enough about this spot.

I recently visited Alma Bar and had an amazing experience thanks to Dany, the bartender. She was incredibly polite and friendly, making everyone feel welcome from the moment they walked in. Dany also knows her drinks inside out and gave fantastic recommendations on what to order based on my taste. Her passion for her craft really shows, and she made my night out truly enjoyable. If you’re looking for great service and delicious drinks, make sure to ask for Dany at Alma Bar!

Alma Taqueria had a great selection of drinks and margaritas. The service was decent and I wish the staff had told me about their monthly special before I ordered a drink because I much rather preferred their watermelon slushy. Overall, if you like tequila def come here!

The coolest tequileria with amazing cocktails in San Jose. I miss living in SJ sometimes (I wanted to escape from there so badly yet there are many places, people, and sceneries that I miss now). Also, the nightlife was pretty entertaining, and Alma and its beautiful decor was part of it for me. Alma Tequileria is located inside the San Pedro Square Market where you will be able to find places to eat as well and end up here for a drink.

Our drinks were pretty good! I love the seating they have, it's very unique. Bartender was pretty nice. We had a good experience except it can get really loud inside because of the shared space.

Came here before the Beyonce concert in Santa Clara. And all the drinks we had were delicious! They're located inside San Pedro Square Market, so it's super convenient to find food in one of the area areas and come here for a drink or 2 or 3. The Bartender was really friendly, and even made mocktails for my friend who was not drinking. And of course, the best part was the music. They were playing Selena and the best latino jams that night. Definitely a fun place to stop by for a drink.

My team came to the San Pedro market area for happy hour after an off-site, and we got a few drinks here because it was conveniently close to the live music section of the plaza. I got the paraje and matador. The paraje had a tinge of spice and a kick near the end, while the matador was more citrusy. Both were not too sweet which was good, but also not too strong. The bartender was pretty chill and made our drinks quickly.

Tequila all day! We tried the El Jaibol first. If you like coconut water with pulp, this is the one to order. The Alma Fresca was our second round. It was so refreshing and delicious! We paired shots of the tequila that was in it, but I didn't get a pic.

We got the Lady Peralta and it was STRONG! I'd rather my cocktail be too strong rather than too diluted though so this was okay for me. The decor and vibe of this bar is very nice - I love that there are semi private nooks for parties of 2. This would be a great date spot for sure.

When this spot opened, I finally knew what the blue cow sitting outside San Pedro Square was meant for. The tequileria is thoughtfully decorated and located in a corner that makes it seem like it's in its own world within the food hall. There's an ample selection of tequila and cocktails for you to try. The ordering process is easy--just go up and order with the bartender. It can get quite crowded, but luckily there's plenty of space as well as bites within the dining area. I haven't tried a cocktail that I don't like here. Overall, it's a welcome addition to the SJ nightlife scene!

You already know the market is such a cute date night. So if you're looking for a cocktail while you sit outside, you won't be disappointed. Creative cocktails. A little sweet for my taste but they were still good.

First time here, but wont be the last Located inside the San Pedro Square Market ..... off in the corner LOOK for the cow that is placed high.... I was actually in line at a different business when I saw the decor out the corner of my eye (LOL) I peeped some more and I noticed it was a Tequila Bar!! What a wonderful surprise!!! I immediately left the line I was in and walked up to the bar, (no line) I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt.....Drink was very refreshing!! Bar was clean and well stocked Bartender was friendly and efficient Bar is nicely decorated Drinks have cute names You can take your drink outside or drink it inside

It's always nice to see a new business open in San Pedro Square Market. Alma Tequileria is a beautiful bar in the corner space next to Market Beer. Lady Peralta - tequila blanco / strawberry and jalapeño cordial / rosso / hellfire bitters / smashed mint Perfectly spicy and so refreshing...this is the summer 2022 drink y'all! Jalisco Fly Over - tequila blanco / luxardo liqueur / creme de violette / fresh lemon I feel like so much thought went into crafting this recipe...an elevated drink for sure - very tasty and well-balanced Great vibe and good location!

Horrible customer service. ! Here now ! Walked up to the bar to order A drink (margarita) ! Bartender was closing out a Customer so I thought I was next. So I two girls showed up and I guess he knew them and took there order next. WTH. I'm at the bar just waiting. Not acknowledging me at All!:( so I left and went across to the The other building So disappointed

The place has a great look and feel to a real Mexican Tequila Bar. Great cocktails , Great selections of tequilas for a any occasion. I've been to this place several times with friends , coworkers and family members and this place never disappoints. The bartenders Alberto and David are friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is fun and the music gives it a plus. At the Heart of San pedro square Fun place to hangout.

What a cute spot in a little corner in San Pedro Square. They have such a cool seating area. Definitely a afternoon weekend bar to check out.

I usually come to San Jose and most of the bars are great but I had the worst service ever at this place. It was me and four of my friends (2 girls 2 guys) the bar was not packed so we find a spot and waited to be served. There was a male and female bar tender and the literally walked past us and did acknowledge us for about 7 min then the guy finally asked what would we like? We have him our order and he then proceeded to Id us. We noticed he did not id anyone else prior to us or after. Not sure if race played a factor but yes we're black . Just saying I would go to one of the other spots before I come here again

Came here with high expectations after seeing this place all over Instagram and Twitter and the concept sounded really cool. Came here after a Sharks game to see it's literally just a corner of what Blush used to be and not as grand as it's made to seem. The drinks were nothing to write home about. There are only 5 cocktails to choose from on the menu. I had the Jalisco Fly Over and it was very bland to me. It said it had maraschino liqueur but all I was able to taste was the lemon and tequila in it. My friend got the Matador San Pedro which only tasted like straight tequila and nothing else making it very hard to finish. I think it might be since they opened not long ago they're still working out the kinks but I don't think I'll be back for at least a few months. There's tons of options for drinks in and around San Pedro Square and this place just isn't there just yet to be a MUST try.

Cute tequila bar in San Pedro Square. Our bartender was friendly but took awhile to get the check once business picked up. I had the Matador San Pedro and really enjoyed the flavor. My gf liked her mezcal. Might come back when at SPS.

Stopped by here for a couple cocktails before grabbing some food. Great little tequila bar tucked away in the corner of San Pedro market. We got the Name This Cocktail and Alma Paloma. Both were good and bartenders were pretty quick.

Terrible and expensive cocktails. Everyone got a different drink and they were all so bad. Sickly sweet and extremely cheap tasting.

This has to be my new fave bar in SJ. Amazing staff, super yummy craft cocktails. Can't wait to come back

Adorable atmosphere but one of the bartenders is horrible. If you would like to be told u look weird or be offended def go here. Otherwise there's plenty of other cute places to go with far better NON OFFENSIVE service.

The bartender takes her job extremely serious. She double checked my ID and then called everyone else around to try and humiliate me however my ID does not expire until 2025 and been accepted in government premises. I truly believe she was racially profiling me.

Came from San Francisco to visit some friends but ended up staying in the area all night because of the great drinks at Alma! Will be back next time I'm in the area!

Drinks and food weren't that great, I was hoping for better. A bit overpriced for the quality.

Crappy service, bad pours, bad bartenders who have issues with what people wear. We don't complain how man buns makes people look, why talk bad about paying customers?

In town for a Sharks game and came across this fun looking place. When I asked for a drink menu, the girl standing behind the bar told me to find one on the bar or on a table. I asked her to hand the me the menu that was behind her, she replied "NO, she was on a break". Really, the menu was two steps from her, but she refused as she was on a break. I was in disbelief. Lots of places to drink in the area, we walked elsewhere and had a good time in San Pedro square.

Love this place! Who doesn't love a tequila bar in the first place!!! Drinks are amazing and refreshing. Great ambiance and like that they play Spanish music for a little change. The bartender Alberto is great, he's quick at getting your order and making them just as quick but always tasting the best! And if your not sure what you want he helps you figure it out which is great especially if you want to try something new. Will always come back here when I'm at San Pedro

Awful service. The bartender w/ the funny hair and cheesy mustache had too many personal opinions to share with the objective of starting an argument with me. Tried to give me a drink that I didn't order and then fought with me and said that I had ordered it. They should hire better staff who just do their job.

This is my spot! Music is poppin & bartenders are hella dope. David, Alberto, Danny etc etc. all of them very friendly and quick to recommend if they got a new beer or a new tequilla.

This place is SO cute! The highball was a 10/10 and David was kind enough to come up with a mezcal drink off menu when I told him about some of the mezcal cocktails I was obsessed with from a recent trip to Mayakoba. His was even better! Thanks for finally opening great a tequlia bar in SJ, MUCH needed!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST!! Amazing service and atmosphere. I brought my two sons out with me and it was great for me as a parent and enjoyable for them as young men! Next time we are in the area, will stop back in for a bite and TEQUILA

what a great place! My girlfriend and I stumbled upon it while we were out shopping and decided to have a drink up at the bar. we were welcomed right away and the bartender literally kept us there for two hours just being so friendly offering suggestions, and you could tell he really loved his job. we will definitely be making it a regular stop and we hope we get bartender David each time we go. his great service and smile were very appreciated.
