A great spot for both Mexican and American style food! 🌮🍔 The dishes were very fresh, full of flavor, and nicely served. Portions are generous and the menu has a good variety to choose from. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Perfect place whether you’re in the mood for tacos, burgers, or just a relaxed meal with friends and family. Definitely worth coming back!

Great food! I'm vegan so I had the vegan chilaquiles and it was so delicious, even my wife who is not vegan loved it! She had the spinach and mushroom omelette and also really enjoyed that. Love to see places like this that have real vegan options and not just a side salad.

My first impression was the valet parking I tough was a cholo dude standing on the entrance then he approached and opened the door so imagine my impression (he didn't greeted or waited), then inside waiter was kinda rude just asking my wife order and sayings that's it right?, me just looking at him and asking "can I order something?", did not confirmed later on order and brought something different twice... moving to food is good only that saves the place, looks healthy although portions are small, in the future maybe hardly to come back , generally speaking looks very unformal and come with a mindset of mistakes on orders and they talk back not entirely rude but not service oriented

Came in for Brunch, we had the berry pancakes, the ceaser salad with chicken and a smoothie and some juice, also had the cream of the day. Food was great and fresh, a little on the pricey side for two people. They had a small fly problem that they need to fix.

Their food is still good and healthy. Not as good as it used to be, too many competitors now. However, still a very good restaurant.

Me and my husband had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place while in Tulum on vacation. The food, ambience and service were nothing short of amazing. If you are looking for a healthy options that taste amazing then this is the spot for you. Their fresh juices are great and taste just as good. The staff, customer service, outdoor and indoor area is clam, quiet and clean. Outdoor area is just gorgeous. Shout out to Rosa, Alfonso, Melania Karina and David the manger. If you visit tell them we send you.

Why don’t they offer a menu in Spanish? This is a Mexican restaurant located in Mexico, a Mexican chain not a Usonian one; they should give their customers the option of a menu in Spanish language not just English….

I'm vegan and came here since they promoted vegan friendly dishes. They only had a few like their chilaquiles.. unfortunately it was cold.. which became a killer for me. Nonetheless, it's nice having a restaurant that has healthy options. Service was also good

Stumbled on this place when we finished our appointment. We went to the P.º del Centenario 9585-local d1, Zona Urbana Rio Tijuana, 22010 Tijuana, B.C., Mexico new city location. This was the only place opened the other restaurants open at 11 am I think. Service was good, they were really quick and attentive. The location was really clean and fast I am still dreaming about my pistachio latte. That was so good. I would go back to order them again. Ordered the Chilaquiles with protein. The food was made fresh with good ingredients I would go back, but mostly for the latte

I order tasty warm tea which was so refreshing. I had a cold and it helped out real well The area waa clean and service waa great I've been here before for lunch and food tacos taste didifferent then states. The tortilla were homemade and salsa and chips do not come with meal

This is one of my all time favorite places to go when I'm in Tijuana. It's healthy and delicious, with the most invigorating environment. The living wall and floor to ceiling sunlight is like eating in a greenhouse, which in downtown TJ is definitely what you want. Wood and cement finishes add to the urban organic MCM vibe. I usually get the same three things: cafe de la olla, beet chilaquiles (don't knock it, it's amazing), and my favorite smoothie, the Morning Burst. It has mango, orange, carrot, ginger, and honey. Incredible. Don't skip this spot.

Good was good , service excellent, we had eggs with a delicious chipotle salsa , Fruit , coffee, tea and a delicious rosemary bread . It seems to be a new and trendy place. Parking was a bit awkward since they take your car to another location, I don't know how I feel about that .

I picked up an order to go for lunch and it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the salmon with quinoa and I loved how the quinoa was mildly seasoned with lemon and salt. The side of shaved pickled cucumbers were excellent, the vinegar was mild but still had flavor. My to go order was plated beautifully so I can only imagine how their dishes look when you eat in. If I'm in TJ again I will definitely be back!

My sister and I got different Chilaquiles, I thought mine were OK, but my sister did not like hers at all. My brother got the French toast and it was very dry. The food was mediocre at best. We each got one entrée and one juice and paid almost $60 which I think is pricey for TJ pricing.

Had lunch here when it was slow. We ordered waters, a rose Chai moon milk, berry smoothie, salmon sandwich on focaccia, and cauliflower tacos. Let's start with customer service: QR code for the menu wasn't working (not a phone issue) Waiter took a while to bring the waters, I usually don't ding for this, but it was DEAD inside in regards to tables needing to be serviced. When we called the waiter over to ask for waters again, he was standing in front of a mirror on the floor trying to pop a zit ‍ Moving on to food: you can see the people cooking your food, so this was really a deterrent since the waiter wasn't touching our food. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and they were very delicious, but I wish they offered a spicy salsa to put on top. They definitely needed an extra pop of flavor. Moon milk was amazing. My friend enjoyed her salmon sandwich and her smoothie. 4/5 for me. Not the best experience, but food saved the review.

They service was quick and insightful about the restaurant. My favorite part was dessert, the fried cauliflower was a little too hot for me but it was still good.

Returned and adored the omelette de la casa featuring a decadent chipotle sauce! The cacao banana smoothie was excellent too.

Delicious chilaquiles and Delicious salmon toast. Chilaquiles sauce was too thick but flavor was great so I ate em without hesitation but Id prefer my sauce to not be too thick. Chicken was juicy and tasty and the roasted habanero were to die for. Salmon toast was really - really good! My only complaint is that they were out of almost all cold press juices, wellness shots and more :( & they had no grapefruit juice :( - this is a must have flavor of juice for me . Not sure if I will be back.

Just had some really good chilaquiles, cafe de olla, and a delicious naranjada! Definitely stopping by again. The food, service, ambience all get 5 stars. Bang bang

Omg the pistachio pie is sooo yummy and the dulce de leche latte and golden milk chai are sooooooooo good!

We stopped by Alma Verde after running some errands to have a light breakfast. The restaurant is modern in appearance and features wood tones and simple wood chairs and tables in the dining room. We ordered a Dulce de Leche Latte and a special citrus hot tea to drink. I ordered Avocado Toast which comes on sourdough bread with hummus and my partner ordered a Quinoa Hash Brown dish to eat. Both of the drinks were served in beautiful coffee mugs and tasted amazing. I had to control myself because I could have easily drank it down quickly and ordered more. The Avocado Toast had a large serving of avocado served on top of the hummus ok the sourdough break. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. My partner felt the same about the hash browns. Service at the restaurant was both friendly and efficient in nature. All employees appeared to be working hard and smiled often at diners. Parking was by valet only unless you want to drive around the area and look for street parking which can be difficult to find. We really enjoyed our time at Alma Verde and will be back.

Shabby chic yummy! We enjoyed everything! The coffee latte was delicious! My friend got something else and wish she had gotten my Café latte. Chili Quiles was delicious as well as the waffles. Can't go wrong with anything here basically

Great place for a healthy breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Alma Verde has two locations in Tijuana. This one is located in the Colonia Cacho. There is no parking but there is valet service for 20 pesos. They offer a wide variety of fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, teas, healthy juice "shots," and coffees. I tried the narangella and lemonella and both were delicious and fresh. They also offer an extensive vegan menu. Breakfast offerings include yogurts, parfaits, oatmeal, chilaquiles, and omelettes. The chilaquiles are outstanding, made with creamy sauces and crunchy tortilla chips. You can order them with eggs, or add chicken if your prefer. You can also switch out the fried tortilla chips for over-baked ones. If you like mole, the cacao chilaquiles are fantastic. You also can't go wrong with the "house" chilaquiles, which are made with a creamy red chile sauce. The portions are generous and the service is good. The place gets packed, though, if you go on a weekend morning, so be prepared to wait for your table. Finally, the price is great for the quality of the food. Two freshly-squeezed juices and two entrees will run you about $20. I'll definitely add Alma Verde to my breakfast rotation in Tijuana.

Vegans beware!! We went to Alma Verde as they showed vegan options. Before giving out the order, I said we are all vegan. I went ahead and ordered the vegan Chilaquiles. The waiter asked how I wanted my eggs. I said, Oh no I want everything vegan ( the menu specifies vegan). I was a little concerned after that conversation but I was like it's okay. I think I made it clear everything we ordered was based on their vegan options (no modifications). The waiter brings my Chilaquiles and, of course, there is a sunny side egg on the plate. I reminded the waiter that I had wanted the vegan Chilaquiles and that I didn't want the egg because I am vegan. He then asked me what my definition of vegan because their definition of vegan was that the chicken that laid that egg was raised on a good farm where it wasn't harmed and it was free and it was happy and that's what made the egg vegan. I said," Well, I disagree. You know it's still an animal product and I would prefer not to consume animal products, which is why I ordered it vegan, as your menu stated". He then proceeded to say, OK I will take it to the back and will remove the egg. Once he brought it back, I questioned the cheese and sour cream on top, since we had different definitions of vegan. I asked if the cheese and sour cream were vegan. He said they're lactose free and I said, I want to know if they're vegan --like are they made from nuts. He said," I don't know the ingredients, I just know that they are lactose free". He saw that I was concerned, so he was like, how about I take this dish back and just make the Chilaquiles plain-- tortillas and salsa and avocado. I was grateful and took the offer. At this point, me and my two guests are concerned because, again, we're all vegan and we're looking at the menu again just to make sure that we didn't make a mistake in our end and so, when the waiter comes back with double check that the other two dishes are vegan. The waiter seemed like he was just telling us what we wanted to hear, which made us really nervous because we didn't want to get sick as we were going back home the next day, so we just took the rest of our food to go and gave it to a non-vegan family. I know it's not the waiters' fault for not being informed, but I would just caution anybody who is vegan to maybe talk to the chef or something, because I just left really uneasy with the whole situation.

I used to recommend this place a couple years ago to everyone because of the value and high quality food and taste. Unfortunately now it's just as expensive to eat here than it is in San Diego. We love coming to Tijuana to support our people and feel like we are getting a value that's what drives tourism but that's not the case anymore here. And to really top it off they no longer offer free WATER to your table. The most basic of items to offer your paying customers is now sold to you. They used to have a nice water jug with cucumber water or mint and it was a nice touch and it was free but management decided to pull that from customers that's completely unacceptable and honestly it shows profit is more important to them than customer service and customer retention. The food is still good no complaints there but honestly when your paying just as much as you would in the US it's not worth the drive and deal with the border. No longer offering free water killed it for me.

this place was good I tried the chilaquiles it was so yummy I also had café de olla that was good as well. The only downside was we waited about an hour for our food service was a little slow. Besides that you can't go wrong with the prices and the quality of the food.

The chilaquiles, moon milks, lattes and pancakes are so delicious. 100% recommended. You must try when in Mx.

This place is delicious!!! My girlfriend and have a very healthy diet and this place suits out needs. The place is warm and very welcoming, It's 2 stories high and I personally like the environment upstairs a lot more than downstairs! My favorite dish last the burger with sweet potato fries, my second favorite is the chilaquiles verdes. All their breakfast options are on point, I've tried almost everything in their menu and I'll keep coming back for more! Parking is very efficient and the service is quick! Their staff is very respectful and really nice.

I'm really into organic, healthy restaurants and all my friends mentioned me to check this place out. If I can place this location somewhere in San Diego it will be placed in North Park. Super hipster, you got cactuses as centerpieces... The wood decor with plants on the wall etc. In the beginning the service was good and then it began to fade a bit. To drink we ordered cold pressed juices. I actually wanted to cancel some of the fruit because I prefer more greens then sugar but the juices are already made and they crack them open for you to pour over ice. It was good but to sweet for me. To eat I ordered the salmon salad and my husband ordered the chilaquiles with chicken. The first thing I noticed is my salmon with romaine lettuce, weird. Usually it's spring mix or spinach. The fish was cooked perfect but it was slight cold in some areas and super bland it lacked a lot of flavor. The grilled fruit didn't really help. If it was me I would suggest adding some dried fruit, nuts or cheese! My husband dish was good, the chilaquiles tasted like the rancherito chips but after awhile the taste gets to overpowering so you don't want to continue to eat it. I certainly want to come back to try some vegan options I saw, hopefully I'll enjoy that dish a bit more.

Para empezar cuando por fin nos tocó ordenar nos dicen que se les acabaron los jugos. Pedimos café de hoya, malísimo y no nos permitieron cambiarlo. Pedimos 2 salmón toasts solo para que se tardaran en decirnos que no tenian pan. La salsa y el pan del Croque Madame también malísimos. Los chilaquiles rojos también súper malos lo único bueno fue el café Pistaccino. Muy F bonitos colores y presentación pero la comida nada que ver.

Good food! I ordered from the kids plates and still had food left over. The dark water juice was good! Excellent place to have coffee also.

The food is very good the service is very nice the coffee's great but if you ask them to do something like toasted bread extremely they won't do it they'll tell you they'll do it but when they make it arrived it's not toasted

This is definitely my go to breakfast spot in TJ. Everything is good but the chilaquiles are for sure my favorite!

I have been coming here for quite some time now and this place has not changed its quality. The valet parking is 20 pesos, the entree I get is 90, and the drink is 45. All in all when I come here I spend about 200 pesos including tip and it is well worth it. The quinoa hash browns are excellent and their orange juice is fresh. Order their "Chile de arbol" sauce and their green sauce and you'll be in for a tasty surprise. The servers are always glad to exchange smiles and are always happy to serve you. I highly recommend this place.

Alma Verde is a place you would expect to find in San Diego or San Francisco. My cousin tells me it's a trendy vegan spot. That's all fine and dandy, but I'm a meat eater. I don't want to be hungry in 1 hour. They do have meat, but I don't think you will find sausage or ham on the menu. Honestly, I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted. Everything sounded good (for the most part). It was my son that forced my hand though. He wanted the cacoa chilaquiles. I make chilaquiles for breakfast, and what child doesn't like cacoa? Well when I was told that the cacoa was mole, I knew he wouldn't. But he insisted on getting it. Not wanting my son to starve, I got the green chilaquiles, because I knew for sure he'd like them. Sure enough, one bite and he didn't want it. Hell, one bite and I didn't want them. If you don't like or even know what mole is, don't get the cacoa chilaquiles. The green chilaquiles, on the other hand, were awesome. Some people won't like the tang of the tomatillo's, but I love it. Wanting to try something different, I also ordered a pistaccino. If this is your first time, think latte mixed with pistachio. They created and patented the drink here. After I got over the initial sip, I enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is really nice. We sat upstairs, and even though my son cried 2/3 of the visit, we still had a good time. He liked looking out the window to the street from up upstairs. But definitely give Alma Verde a try if you're nearby, and for sure try the pistaccino Imabigdeal@yelp.com

Great food, great service, great prices. I love Tijuana! We got here early- I had the spinach and mushroom omelette with arrachera. Delicious! Also tried the pancakes, and my wife had the chilaquiles verdes. There is no parking- some street parking- but they do offer valet. The place is nice, clean, and everyone was friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

Terrible experience. It was so hot in the restaurant. I inquired about the vegan pancakes waitress went to ask if they were available...they were not. I then asked about vegan chilaquiles...which they also DIDNT have. Then she came back again to notify me that they DID NOT have vegan burgers, 1 option available for the vegan menu which wasn't even a "meal" which was hummus. the waitress then proceeded to come back to let me know they also didn't have the ginger shot I requested. My boyfriend and friend both received their meals. It took them 15 min to bring out my sad hummus. Will never come here again.

I have rated Alma Verde 4 solid stars because I like their food and service, but today it was different. I came to eat breakfast with my wife early, it was not crowd it but their service was horrible. After we were seat it and offer drinks, our shots took more than ten minutes to get to our table, and at this time we had already ordered our breakfast (chilaquiles de la casa & sandwich campesino) after they took another 10 minutes to bring my food, they forgot my wife food, so after we asked for our sandwich they keep apologizing for the delay but we never got our sandwich. My food got cool after waiting for my wife food, so I paid and cancelled our sandwich and left. I hope they this place pays more attention to their customers and provide a better service. Thank you.

The food and atmosphere is excellent. I can't say enough about he food. It's very healthy, unique, and with an amazing presentation... the biggest disappointment is the young untalented servers. They take forever to greet you , take your order and you always have to go out your way to get their attention if you need something extra like a stew or salsa. I really hope the owners/managers read this because the service takes so much away from the excellent food and that's the only reason for putting f4 stars. I'm am sure several people feel the same way and have the same complaint about the service. I'm not saying the servers are horrible. They are Just in need of customer service training to be more attentive. Thank you Alma Verde for a wonderful meal.

I will make it simple: 1. We ordered poached eggs, received hard boiled eggs. 2. Plate showed avocado, quinoa and some greens, came back w roasted vegetables different from plate. 3. Coffee tasty like instant coffee.

I came here for breakfast on a Saturday with my girlfriend on the recommendation of my parents who frequent the place. We found parking easily, although I also noticed that they have valet as well. We were given our choice of seats, and a server was around to take our order shortly. Alma Verde is exactly the type of hassle-free experience that you want in the morning. My girlfriend was starting to get hungry already, so she got a Very Berry Smoothie to tide her over while her chilaquiles de cacao (mole chilaquiles) with a side of chicken was being prepared. She thought the smoothie was great, and the chilaquiles even better. She's a big fan of mole, but she had never tried chilaquiles before so a big thanks to Alma Verde for making her introduction to chilaquiles a superb hit! I opted for an Active juice which was excellent as well, and the chilaquiles verde I ordered were perfect. In fact, they were just too good that I practically mauled them before I thought to grab a picture. We also noted that the chilaquiles came with a generous serving of avocado (no extra charge!). When it came time to pay, I realized I hadn't exchanged money so I paid in USD without any hassle. I even received change back in USD which was a nice touch. I would still recommend exchanging if you can (of course)! We also received a paper survey to fill out at the end of our meal asking about the service, hygiene, food, etc. so you can tell this place is incredibly committed. We'll definitely be back!

This place is incredible. I passed up an exclusively vegetarian place for Alma Verde and am so glad I did. The food is healthy, interesting, freshly prepared and beautiful. Instead of offering soy-based items, They specialize In vegetables. I had an excellent roasted cauliflower dish and homemade fried sweet potato chips with pistachio pesto. Neither dish was what I expected but but were delicious. The portions, however, are quite small. They are called main dishes but are really like tapas or sides so you need at least 2 or 3 to fill up. I was still hungry after two items. The service was really friendly, they have free wifi, and the restaurant is beautiful!

Had the watermelon/celery/cucumber/mint juice and the green chilaquiles. Both were super good. The waiter was a sweetie and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. Most of the waitstaff speak English so they were able to help us out with the menu. I would definitely eat here again!

Did not really like the food. Green Sauce served on chilaquiles, basic one egg. Too acidic as if it came out of processed container, thick, too acidic. Portion too small for the price. Place is nice, it was busy for brunch. Coffee tasted like instant Nescafé. It was only me. Service was somehow slow. Smoothie Cacao...was really good, daughter loved it. I may think twice about going back.

Amazing regulations to deal with COVID! They had scannable menus on their tables and the tables were far apart from one another. Had very good vegan options, my sister wanted the vegan chilaquiles and I just got the oatmeal with almond milk. Both dishes were amazing, and I will be visiting again soon!

Had the quinoa burger. I think I died and went to heaven. Amazing flavors and fresh ingredients. The vegan cheese sauce was mind blowing! Really good food.
