Everything I had was high quality and not overpowering flavor. I was wearing a Grizzly Man T-shirt and the bartender recognized it, meaning that the staff here must have top quality film taste. A unique prosciutto and broccoli Benedict, and Shrimp + Grits made for a great brunch with some corn bread.

First time here from the city and absolutely loved it! We dined for Sunday brunch and it was exceptional. The food was on point, the space was perfect and the service was incredible. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Josh, the bartender made a cosmo that was modern and better than expected. We'll be back often!

Came here for dinner as a high recommendation from a friend, but my experience here fell short. The fritto misto was bland, and to me was just basic fried vegetables with no flavor. Thankfully, the potato gnocchi was packed with flavor, definitely a small highlight. After a 45-minute wait, the main dishes (chickpea ragu and chicken breast Panzanella) were underwhelming and not worth the delay. With timing issues and inconsistent flavors, we skipped dessert, anticipating more of the same. Overall, a mixed and mildly disappointing experience.

✨First time at Almond & Oak and already planning my return! ✨ Ask for Yanni 💖 The food was incredible, but what truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service from Yanni. Yanni was warm, friendly, and completely attuned to our needs throughout the meal. Our glasses were never empty, plates were cleared seamlessly, and he had a deep knowledge of the menu that made choosing dishes and drinks feel effortless. He recommended a drink called tepache, which I had never tried before—and I absolutely loved it! It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and genuinely warm and welcoming. Yanni struck that perfect balance and made our first visit truly memorable. 10/10 for food, service, and vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
The food is really good here, but it was kinda ruined when my friend and I were asked to leave so they could turn over the seats at the bar. What a bummer, we are old college friends trying to catch up, so that really bummed us out. The food was good though.

Google
Yeah I mean this place rocks and is just solid. The food the service everything is just good. Take a date here, your family it’s just such a solid choice in Oakland. Get the burger it’s sooooo good but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Google
Fantastic brunch spot for Sunday afternoons. Greta atmosphere and service. Very down home and earthy. Well designed too with a menu to match. Not pictured were the beignets which my neighbor friend at the bar just gave me a piece of, freaking fantastic.

Sarah H

Google
Cute spot with a good brunch. Food was really yummy; we were happy with everything we tried including the beignets, skillet cornbread, quiche, and summer veg hash. The mocktail I ordered was also really good. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I don’t go to brunch often as I am in the industry myself but if I do, I would definitely consider coming back here.

Yelp
The environment is laid back, and just feels good to be around. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and their huge windows open up for an indoor, outdoor feeling. We ordered the beignets to start, and they were soft and delicious. I ordered their yogurt bowl, and it was the perfect amount of toppings to yogurt ratio. Their French fries were also amazing. Service was a little slow, but overall good for brunch on a Sunday morning!

Yelp
I've come here 3 times now (brunch and dinners) and each time I've ordered something different. I feel the portions could be bigger because every time I finish a meal I feel I need more. The food is good overall is good. Their menu has a good variety with a little bit of something for everyone. The hamburger is definitely a go-to that hasn't disappointed. The service and ambiance is definitely a vibe. It's a chill hipster spot. The waitress and hostess were kind and promptly seats us. Come give it a try. "High on Food. Yelp
The Benedict was yummy! Got it twice. Salad was too salty one day and had too much pepper the other. Love the big windows that let lots of light in. I like how open the space is. Will be back to try more food!

Yelp
Service - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Came w/o a reservation at 6:15pm on a Thursday and was seated at the bar. Immediately loved the moody vibe upon walking in! Ratatouille- was my first time trying this dish and was very impressed! So much flavor and very tasty. Focaccia- buttery and delicious. Was great with the ratatouille
google avatar

Katherine L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a couple girlfriends. Love the ambiance of the place and the awesome open kitchen and bar. Here are a few things we got: - House-Made Burrata: Foccacia was just okay, wish it was more soft and fluffy. marinated broccoli and olives had nice flavor and not too salty and sour. The prosciutto was good, the saltiness paired well with the burrata. The burrata was fresh and creamy. - Ratatouille: I like the polenta in the dish because it was fried on the outside and soft/creamy on the inside. The veggies were good and well seasoned. The tomatoes some were small and kept whole. - Confit Pork Shoulder: Tender pork piece surrounded with a bed of cut apples, brussels, and parsley. A bit salty but the side helped even it out. - NY Steak: a bit too salty for my taste along with the creamed greens. The crispy shoestring onions didn't really go together in a bite for me. -For dessert we had the German chocolate cake which for me was a bit too sweet. I thought the coconut flavor overpowered the chocolate. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant and our server was friendly.

Yelp
Definitely work checking out, the windows are usually open and it's the perfect vibe for a nice dinner. All the food was fantastic and we sat at the bar, so the service was quick and great! I would for sure come back to this spot to try other entree options.

Yelp
Shared the Chive Scrambled Eggs and Baked French Toast and both were yum! I particularly liked the french toast bc it had the perfect balance of being sweet but not guilty pleasure sweet so it hit the spot! This is a fun little street within Oakland where you can shop a bit, pick up pastries, and also dine at this place that gives Wood Tavern vibes but brunch. If I was looking to bring out of towners to around this area, this brunch place would be a no brainer bc the seating is good, service is great, and the ambience is very fitting. Overall, would come again!
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
Super busy brunch on Sunday but the service was efficient. The shrimp and grits were delicious! The jam that came w the beignets was really good! Would definitely order the quiche and baked French toast again! The menu descriptions do not do the food justice. Street parking is tough in this area.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was pretty good, ambiance is nice. Favorite was baked French toast it almost tasted like bread pudding. Solid breakfast place but it's not super memorable.
google avatar

Yelp
I think this would be a good place for drinks and apps but I didn't find the entrees to be worth the price. The bass entree I got had a fish filet smaller than my palm, and since the rest of the dish was corn, maitake mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, I don't see how this would be filling enough for dinner for most people. The steak frites had a massive portion, but was odd in that we ordered it medium, and it was pinker on the inside than I would have expected but also tougher than I would have expected. The coconut sauce on the fries was really good and the flavors and textures on the bass were also good, but I wasn't that satisfied considering how much they cost. I thought the cocktails we got were really tasty and pretty boozy; that combined with the aesthetic and the ambiance I think would make this a really nice place to get drinks after you get dinner somewhere else
google avatar

Yeonhwa S.

Yelp
They have such good food and cocktails! We always get the mimosas with brunch and have a great time hehe Make reservations as they get very busy. My only complaint is that their parking sucks. You will most likely have to find parking in the neighborhood nearby and walk over.

M S.

Yelp
The ambience is wonderful - easy to hear and aesthetically pleasing. No reservations on a Friday night and they found a spot for us! The service was attentive/perfunctory - no smiles/warmth but was attentive. The burrata appetizer was so tasty - and the warm focaccia bread delicious. The barley risotto had great flavor but too oily and the texture was odd to us. The Brussel sprouts also great flavor but too oily for our liking. I'd go back for a drink at the bar and an appetizer but probably not a full meal again.
google avatar

Rosa C.

Yelp
Brought a dear friend here for his birthday and the food did not disappoint! We got a dozen oysters to split, and scallop crudo with kiwi to start (this was DIVINE). The farro with maitake mushrooms were absolutely delicious, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Would've loved to see more beets on the plate, but we were honestly quite stuffed. The ambiance here is wonderful; lots of hanging plants and cute pendant lamps. The service was attentive and frequent, even on a busy Thursday evening. Parking is always challenging for this area, so ride share or park a few blocks down.

Yelp
Went here for a weekday date night. Cute atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. Reaaonably good table service. Nothing spectacular. They have a happy menu up until 6pm on weekdays, which is nice. However happy hour menu just made the normally overpriced dishes only...slightly overpriced. It didn't feel like a very good - still around $20 for a happy hour dish or side. Dinner dishes (chicken dish and dish dish) we both just ok. Wouldn't order again. Drink was good! Two dinner dishes plus two drinks was over $110 without tip. Overall, i would describe this as a typical LA-style restaurant. It presents well but mostly just serves mediocre food for extraordinary prices. Wouldn't eat there again. Skip dinner and stick to the bar/drinks.

Yelp
Broooo the brunch here is so good. Brunch here is crowded, I recommend making a reservation. parking can be tough. Service was friendly and quick. The large window front really offers natural lighting to the whole restaurant. I had the crab cakes benedict and I'm surprised by how sweet and how much crab I could taste! This is by far the best crab cake benedict I've ever had. My friend's shrimp and grits did not disappoint, savory and sweet from the shrimp. The perfect savory entree. The cornbread came in a little cast iron and the honey butter to accompany the corn bread was the cherry on top. They had a good variety of boozy drinks, I took a chance on the boozy spiced cider and it was the coziest warming spiced tea I've had at a brunch spot. It makes me wanna come back and try the rest of their menu.

Yelp
New love in Oakland! The service, food, and ambiance was all amazing. The venue itself is so cute. Tall ceilings, very farm to table-esque feel. The hostess at the front of house is so incredibly nice and service was extremely fast. For food, my friend and I split: Focaccia Beef tartar Brussel sprouts Pork Shoulder The pork shoulder was one of my favorite things I've had at a new restaurant. From the mushrooms to the brocollini to the mash... And the meat was fall off the bone tender. I did pass on dessert because there wasn't much that caught my eye but it didn't matter much to me. Would definitely come back if it was just for the pork shoulder.

Yelp
It's a full bar and restaurant with serving brunch too. Has indoor and limited outdoor seatings. Inside is well decorated and clean. Tables are large and overall roomy place. Waiters are responsive and polite. Great for group, events, meetup, kids and accessible. Prices are reasonable wrt food quality. Will come back again.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday morning for brunch w/ my husband. We had a reservation so we were promptly seated at one of their high top tables. They tend to get pretty busy so a reservation is highly recommended. There's street parking, but it's a busy street so keep that in mind too. I really love the space! Large windows and high ceilings make it feel really open and airy, with an industrial feel. The service was great and our food came out quickly. We ordered: - Shrimp & Grits: grits had a nice mouth feel, the shrimp was seasoned well and cooked just right, the gravy was flavorful. - Crab Cake Benedict: very unique crab cake, really herbaceous (it's literally green on the inside lol) w/ a creamy herb hollandaise to top it off. The slice of tomato paired nicely. The egg was perfectly poached. Everything tasted fresh and light. - Potatoes: larger serving than I was expecting so that was nice. You definitely get your money's worth. The potatoes are crispy and well seasoned and they taste great w/ a bit of ketchup and hot sauce! Give it a try if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Expect a wait on a Sunday for brunch, we waited about 30 minutes, but when you smell the food and see the ambiance you'll begin to understand why. The industrial chic decor is very relaxing, inviting and welcoming, far from the younger crowd brunch spots with loud environments. We waited about 30 minutes with no rezzie and walking up. The menu has a nice variety with an explicit effort to make a lot of their food in house which is always a good start. Food came out in about 10-15 minutes considering the rush I think it was good timing. Food: Cornbread: (4/5). Big works here are that it is served warm and with butter, which was needed considering it is a little dry. However it has a nice crust and crumbly inside. The butter helps keep it together. Poke a few holes in it and let the heat melt inside. Whole wheat toast (4/5): giant toast slices served with jam. They were good on their own but I highly suggest spreading the jam and then trying them with the quiche. More on that in a second. Side Fries: (3/5) these were average. Served too crunchy as if they were overcooked. However the flavor and herbs was good. I got through a few bites of these and decided to put them down. There were other great options to carb up on on our table. However this is a large portion so definitely shareable if you and your partner have your own entrees. Quiche: (5/5) Looks delectable and served almost like pastry. But it is warm and complex with flavors. Favorite part of this dish was the egg and mushroom combo. Wow. Highly suggest this on its own. I wouldn't even mind drizzling some aged balsamic on this just as a personal preference but if you try it with the jam on the toast as I mentioned earlier you have a very delectable dish! Fried chicken sandwich: (5/5) the toasted brioche buns do a great job of containing a major conconction of texture and flavor between them. The chicken was juicy with an outer layer of crunchy skin that is a treasure trove after you've managed to get through the brioche bun. The slaw and pickled veggies add vibrant color to the dish and complimentary flavor to the savory forward chicken. Comes with a side salad that is very colorful and tasty. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Mocktail: Midnight Howl: At first glance I wasn't amazed. The fanciest thing about it was the glass it is served in. Don't judge this cocktail but its presentation. VERY DELICIOUS AND REFRESHING. The lemon and ginger ingredients come forward but served chilled it is like sipping a squeezed juice with all your favorite anti-oxidants. If they served this with gin or similar spirit in the menu this would be a crowd pleaser. Make it happen! HIGHLY SUGGESTED.

Yelp
Favorite part about this spot is the ambiance! It's super spacious with a slight vintage industrial vibe, with old timey print decor, exposed wood beams, and blown glass fixtures. We came for brunch as it's more affordable, and all the dishes were beautifully presented and tasty! Prices for entrees ranged from $15-20, and we were all full from one dish. The oysters were a bit pricey but delicious! Service was nice, and you can see the open kitchen which is a cool touch.
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
Food was outstanding- ordered Summer Gazpacho, burrata & sea bass; all were well presented, prepared perfectly - no additional seasonings needed. Service was attentive and friendly. Entire restaurant is lively with a good & fun atmosphere. Will definitely go back! My only critique is that the wine (by the glass) options were lacking some taste profiles.
google avatar

Angelica M.

Yelp
Stellar cocktails and super fresh food always crowded during peak hours however we always manage to get a table within 15 to 20 minutes a few local celeb sightings and a gorgeous open flame. You can catch us here Sunday after church. I want a great Saturday morning before the rush, also recommended as a great date night spot, the hostess at the door is the best. Our go to shrimp n grits, gin gimlet, manhattan, brunch burger, chicken sandwich, quiche, beignets, oysters and veggie hash.
google avatar

Lin B.

Yelp
Everything flawless- my perfect decaf mocha, shrimp & grits, Eggs Hollandaise, Scrambled eggs & fries & bacon. Service excellent & great atmosphere in a really cool building on accessible Grand Avenue!

Yelp
Nice cozy spot right by the Lake! They also offer outdoor dining with heaters so you can bring your pooch. The inside looks super cool and I'd definitely want to experience indoors as well. Came with two girlfriends for dinner (with two dogs). Our waitress was the absolute sweetest and brought out a water bowl and slice of thick cut bacon for each pup - unprompted! Really thoughtful and made this experience 5/5 With regard to the food - we ordered the burrata as an app, and the ratatouille and burger to share as entrees, with the butter cake as dessert. All in all, I really enjoyed the ratatouille. I'll be honest and say I don't have a ton of experience with ratatouille so I can't speak to how ti compares but it was good! The burrata was good as well - our waitress even brought out some extra bread so we could thoroughly enjoy the accompaniments. Overall burger was okay to me (granted it is probably not their specialty item so that is fine) and the butter cake was denser than I expected; however, my friends really enjoyed the butter cake. All in all, it was a really lovely evening with stellar service and food was definitely above average. I think this would be a great brunch option especially if you are planning for a day at the lake.

Yelp
2nd time, not sure if we'd come back? Maybe if we had 2+ hours time to dine and relax Came for brunch on the weekend with friends and got seated immediately. But the wait for food was ONE HOUR! (note: the restaurant was not packed). Silverware: i like the idea that plates and silverware and cups were thrifted/unique but allll the utensils are so scratched up and taste like metal! We asked for several replacements because the taste was so strong with every bite. Food: presentation was clearly great. Taste is fine but needed to ask for salt (and the metal taste). My poached eggs were fully cooked and not runny at all. Honestly we didn't feel like eating anymore after waiting so long. Service: confused who our waiter was? We were helped by 5 different people + needed to flag down waiters to get someone's attention. But they were all nice. Vibes: great and fun for big groups and brunch with the open concept. Can get loud though because the brick walls don't absorb sound, not great for people that get overstimulated easily.
google avatar

Nghi H.

Yelp
This restaurant is pretty cool. I don't like the fact that their menu is pretty limited, not a lot to choose from. But food is pretty good. We like everything that we ordered. They have a pretty good wine and cocktails selection too. Service was slow for us. We didn't have a reservation so we waited for like 15 mins and they offered us seats at the bar. It's an open concept restaurant but it feels very crowded inside. Street parking isn't too hard to find. So for our overall experience, food and drink was good. It's on the pricey side. Cool vibe if you want a dinner date
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a hit when it comes to brunch! Champagne/brut was free flowing and cold! The fried chicken sandwich was great however the burger was a bit lack luster.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot near Lake Merritt in Oakland! I came here for a girl's brunch with 3 other friends. We made a reservation in advance for Sunday brunch at 11 am, and my friend had to provide her credit card to reserve. I'm glad we had the reservation though, as there were some groups waiting when we arrived. The space inside is large and airy and looks nice with the brick wall, and they have outdoor seating in the parklet as well. It was a nice day out, so we asked for an outdoor table, but those were already reserved. The brunch menu isn't large, which made it easy to peruse and decide. I wasn't too hungry, so I went with the lighter chive scrambled eggs ($15). If I was hungrier, I would've tried the Benedict, as that looked really good as well. The chive scrambled eggs comes with bacon and roasted potatoes as well. It's a basic brunch dish, but they execute it well here. The eggs were perfectly soft scrambled and the potatoes were good as well (though a bit on the bland side), but I found the bacon a bit burnt. Another friend ordered the same dish, and her bacon was also burnt. My other friends ordered the benedict and baked french toast, and both of them really enjoyed their dishes.

Yelp
This has been the best place for shrimp and grits that I've tried so far in the Bay Area!! It was so yummy and smooth! It surprisingly came with two perfectly poached eggs in the middle. It was an extremely filling brunch but we still had to make room for a beignet. To be honest, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a round fluffy filled jam ball. It kind of had a doughy texture and you're supposed to dip it in the jam. Reservations are recommended for this very popular restaurant, but we didn't have one so we sat at the bar which turned out to be just as good. We tried the grapefruit mimosas which I highly recommend! The service and food were excellent and we will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for Sunday brunch for the first time and pleasantly surprised. There was ample space outside and inside, great vibe. I normally think big space means mass sub par food, but not the case! The food was great and the server was awesome, offering suggestions and helpful menu feedback. The burger, yummy, the cornbread, oh so savory, and the biscuits, crispy yet moist! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kimi G.

Yelp
Glad we got here when the doors opened for Saturday brunch because there was a line to get in when we walked up. We were able to be seated right away at the bar. Quick and efficient service. The mimosa carafe was a great deal with the Cava SW. thoroughly enjoyed the pozole and brunch burger with all the fixings. Great and roomy space. Loved the atmosphere and soundtrack. Oh and duh... had a dozen oysters. When can a menu go wrong with brunch oysters?
google avatar

Jamie Z.

Yelp
Made reservations a week before and had to put down my credit card to reserve. Very glad I did because the restaurant was full 30 minutes after our 10:30am reservations on a Saturday. I really enjoyed the light crispness and sweetness of the beignets, the chive scramble eggs was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp and grits was delicious. Would love to come back and try their cornbread The restaurant has high ceilings, gorgeous large windows that they keep open for fresh air, indoor and outdoor seating, and the ambience inside was modern, and welcoming. Metered street parking throughout however it was pretty much all gone when I arrived at 10am. There was a farmers market across the street that day, and many people at Lake Merritt. This brunch spot is perfect on the weekends for a meal and then hangout in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Sophia W.

Yelp
Tried this place for brunch and overall was a good experience. We made a reservation and the place wasn't too busy for a Sunday morning at 10:30am. We sat in the front corner behind the host stand which was great because we had our stroller - bonus points for being accommodating without a fuss. My husband ordered the quiche which was a nice blend of sage, roast vegetables, egg and goat cheese. I ordered the standard breakfast - chive eggs, bacon and potatoes. Mine was okay - the eggs were a bit dry and I didn't care the sour cream they added on top of the potatoes. I'd return to this place because the ambiance was nice, service was friendly and I liked the decor, but would get the quiche or another dish.
google avatar

Susan T.

Yelp
Just delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and guided us perfectly. The Gazpacho was wonderful, the scallop crudo wonderful and loved the Sea Bass entree. We will be back. Thank you.
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
Everything here is spectacular, from the service to the food, Almond and Oak is a must try! Although the poached eggs on the grits were overcooked, the flavor of everything was on point. I loved my eggs Benedict due to the flavorful hollandaise, and had a bite of my colleagues dishes! Each dish was hearty and delicious and the side salads were additionally fresh as well as flavorful. I will be coming back
google avatar

Morgan W.

Yelp
Had a couple good dinners and great brunches here. For dinner, they have creative veggie mains, and both their regular and non-alcoholic cocktails are exceptional (my favorite is actually this non-alcoholic black tea cocktail they had during Restaurant Week). Their brunch is even better than dinner. The seasonal quiche comes with a perfect savory side salad, and their chive scrambled eggs and cornbread were also big hits. (If you're standing at the door of the restaurant, looking out towards the parklet, the left side is the place to be. The slope of Grand Ave. makes some of the tables on the right side of the parklet a little wobbly.)
google avatar

Jolie B.

Yelp
I have been here for both dinner and brunch and they're both amazing but my favorite has been the brunch and my go to has been the eggs Benedict. Particularly the crab Benedict. It's served on a fresh, fluffy, flaky biscuit, the crab cake is perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce and is creamy and well seasoned without being overly lemony. It comes with a salad or house potatoes and I always chose the potatoes. They're perfectly crispy and compliments this dish just right. The host and servers always seem to be in a good mood, they're friendly and great with suggestions and the space is beautiful with lots of natural wood and light. They also have a nice outdoor seating option. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a great experience dinning here. I loved the ambiance. I had the oysters and the vegetable tempura. All very delicious. My husband had the steak dinner which he liked but my brother had the pork chop and it was the best dish of the night. Absolutely fabulous. I do love that they have a good variety of non alcoholic drinks as well, I ordered the rosemary orange soda and loved it.
google avatar

Janet D.

Yelp
Adorable. Yummy food. Great breakfast offering it was hard to choose. Cute "tea" set up if you order that. Will be back. Highly recommend. Great vibe, yet quiet.

Yelp
Great brunch experience here today. Super nice interior, and a large covered parklett. The weather was perfect for sitting outside. Our server, Sarah, was great and efficient. The two of us enjoyed the benedict, orange swirl french toast and a side of roasted potatoes. It was all excellent!
google avatar

Abby F.

Yelp
This place is good, although their portions are on the smaller side and a bit $$. However, both the wine and food is good and there seems to be plenty of seating. The ambiance is nice too, as is the service.
google avatar

Mercedes H.

Yelp
We didn't have reservations, but we were sat within 15 minutes in the bar area. The service was super friendly. The music and ambience were excellent. We got the shrimp and grits, a Paloma, a beignet and the house punch. They were all delicious!!!! The shrimp and grits were not the typical dish BUT it was AMAZING!!! I don't like poached eggs and the shrimp and grits came with 2 poached eggs so I will request that they are not included when I return next time (and I WILL DEFINITELY return!!). The only issue I have is the seats!! We sat at the bar and the high tables and the seats were SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I would NEVER sit there again. I would have ordered some other stuff to eat and drink but my hips, butt and back hurt so much from the seats. That is the ONLY reason I didn't give this place 5 stars.
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Food and ambience was great, but it was really weird that they kept taking away our silverware after everything we ate. We told the waitress to please leave the silverware and another waitress whisked them away and gave us new ones. I don't need new silverware after every item I eat and it was pretty annoying especially knowing that someone will have to wash all of that.
google avatar

Karena K.

Yelp
I came here twice, both for different meals. The first time I came here was on a Saturday morning for brunch. I got the benedict, which I thought was not really that special. It was also strange to me how the bacon was very thick. The food portions were big at least. The second time I came here was during dinner. Since we had a party of 7, we sat on the table with high chairs. Once it got darker outside, the vibes inside were nice. My friends ordered different drinks, which were all delicious. A must get appetizer is the house made burrata. The pistachio butter is to die for!! I still think about it to this day. The steak tartare and brussel sprouts were also yummy. Overall, I would come back for dinner but not for brunch.

Yelp
This restaurant is so cute. It was a sunny day, so we were able to sit outside. The service was great. The Zelda Fitzgerald was good, but the hot toddy had way too much lemon. The oysters and biscuit were really good. I liked that there were eggs in the shrimp and grits but didn't think the grits we're that flavorful on their own. The shrimp was well cooked but I'd still probably get something else next time.

Yelp
Just tried this place out for brunch, and it was good. The shrimp and grits were tasty, but they skimped on the shrimp - only four small pieces. The Benedict, though? Absolutely delicious. The chive scramble was decent, albeit slightly overcooked. And those beignets? Super sweet, but beware of the powdered sugar - it melts fast. Overall, a great spot for brunch and mimosas, especially with the outdoor seating option.

Yelp
We split the Benedict and Pozole and they did not disappoint. The benedict was rich and filling. The pozole was very flavorful, but a bit on the saltier side. The tortilla chips added a nice crunch. The interior and vibes of this place are very lively and perfect for brunch! This spot is located on a street with a lot of shops so this is a great place to stop by. My friend and I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a spot so I recommend you making a reservation. If not, you can check out the nearby bookstore or plant shop while you wait.

Yelp
How often do you get a wait time estimate that is actually accurate? Thank you to the host for providing my party an accurate wait time for a seat! This was a great first impression and I personally really appreciate this! When I walked in to my table, I noticed Almond and Oak has a a really warm and cozy vibe. There's a great rustic interior with a combination of brick and wood. It definitely suits the name of the restaurant! My party shared the beignet for a starter. It was a lovely start to our late lunch! The beignets were warm and fresh. They were a pillowy and fluffy treat! For my entree, I ordered the Benedict. The egg was poached perfectly and was placed on top of a delicious buttery biscuit, prosciutto, and some broccolini. I really enjoyed the combination. It also came with a mixed green, but I wasn't a big fan of this salad - it didn't taste quite fresh to me and had slightly too much dressing for my personal preference. The others in my party tried the fried chicken sandwich and the veggie hash. Both enjoyed their meal! Overall, Almond and Oak is a really nice brunch location with a great atmosphere. There may be a wait, so I would recommend that you make a reservation ahead of time! Also, it's mostly metered parking, so be prepared! Otherwise, it's worth a visit!

Yelp
I came here for a brunch with some girlfriends and the space is gorgeous! We ate at the bar and was able to chat with the bartenders who provide great recommendations! We enjoyed our food and definitely would go back!
