"The newest vendor inside Blossom Market Hall in San Gabriel is Almuchow Atbp, a Filipino food specialist with another location in West Covina. The winding menu includes the cuisine’s greatest hits, including breakfast dishes like tapsilog, tocilog and longsilog, and staples like sinigang, pansit, and lumpia." - Cathy Chaplin

Got some food here just recently with a friend and was really good! Got some rice noodles with chicken(pansit mix tray) and fried pork belly with rice and egg(bagnetsilog). Definitely recommend for anyone looking for Filipino comfort food. Service was superb.

Google
Their pork sinigang, tapsilog, and tocino are 10/10. Our go-to place. Don’t underestimate this small but mighty little kitchen. Highly recommend ordering in advance as they cook everything fresh to order.

Google
We’ve eaten at their original location in West Covina and this recently-open location did not disappoint and is the same quality in taste and portion. We’ve eaten here twice now - very traditional and delicious silog dishes. We’ll definitely be back in the future!

Got the marinated beef with rice, it was a bit too salty for me but flavor was not bad. Wish there was a spice level option.

The place opens at 11 but there was a line at 10:45, heck yah! The lumpia was classic!

Yelp
First time at Almuchow Atbp and we decided to try their Longsilog and Winter Melon Tea. The Longsilog consisted of garlic fried rice, 2 sunny side eggs, 2 small longanisa, a half slice from a half slice of a tomato and a slice of cucumber. Excellent customer service at Almuchow Atbp from the beginning of the transaction at the counter when ordering until pick up of the meal and drink. We inquired about ingredients and cross contamination as our child has food allergies specifically to peanuts, tree nuts and sesame seed. The lady along with the cook was awesome they informed us and guaranteed that none of the Longsilog contained any of those food ingredients. The longanisa from the Longsilog is homemade by Almuchow Atbp which is even better. The longanisa was very good and it's flavorful and not plenty of fat which we appreciate. The garlic fried rice was also good and you can taste the garlic and the rice is not salty. Winter Melon Tea was good and it's not too sweet. We can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu.

Yelp
Really like this Filipino stall at Blossom Market Hall. A lot of their dishes are delicious. Knock off a star cuz every dish is oily/greasy. Also, some plates are either too salty or overly sweet. FOOD: Fried Milk Fish w/ Garlic Rice & Eggs (Daingsilog) 4.5/5 Fried Pork Belly w/ Garlic Rice & Eggs (Bagnetsilog) 4.5/5 Filipino Sausage w/ Garlic Rice & Eggs (Longsilog) 4/5 Good, but surprised by how sweet it tastes Marinated Beef w/ Garlic Rice & Eggs (Tapsilog) 3.5/5 Good, but way too salty Egg Noodle w/ Chicken & Vegetable (Pansit Canton) 3/5 Would have been good. Thought it had potential to be real tasty, but it was subpar cuz the noodle wasn't the freshest. Hope this has improved since I've last gotten it (when they first open) as I wish to get it again - with fresh noodles this time. DRINKS: Calamansi Juice (would get again) 4.25/5 Winter Melon Drink 4/5 Mango Juice (mediocre) 3/5

Yelp
i usually hate ordering filipino food out (i can cook this myself or i will specifically want the way my mom makes it so nothing ever compete) their pork belly sinigang is INSANELY good and perfect. I have never had the taste of homemade sinigang executed so freaking well its insane how good this was. you HAVE to try this spot cuz theres no doubt in my mind that everything they make has that home touch, which honestly has been lost with all of these filipino fusion joints in LA.

Yelp
Almuchow is the perfect addition to Blossom Market providing a Filipino cuisine for customers to enjoy! With limited Filipino restaurants around the 626 area, this restaurant is an amazing way for people around the area to be introduced or have the option to try Filipino food! The servings are generous for the price, they taste very delicious, and the service is always impeccable because the food is made in a reasonable amount of time. They even have Filipino breakfast options that are a staple for Filipinos to have in the morning. There are accessible parking spaces in the lot behind or in front of the market. This has definitely become a go-to for my family and I whenever we are craving Filipino food!

Janelle P.

Yelp
I can't decide what I love more about this place - the incredibly kind and friendly staff, or the comfort food that teleports me to homecooked childhood meals. I'm definitely coming back to try more of their menu, for now I can say the sinigang is a 100000/10!!!

Yelp
I got the pancit bihon, it has chicken and the usual veggies (lowkey wishing it had liver but I know that's an acquired taste for most people). The portion size was bigger than I expected it to be. Friendly and fun crew. Would come back here again for their silog meals. Located inside the Blossom Market hall, plenty of parking and seating.

Nicole L.

Yelp
I lovvv me a good Filipino breakfast -- it's been so long since I've had this so I had to get this to fulfill my cravings xD I ordered the Longsilog which is Filipino sausage & the meal came with garlic rice + eggs. Personally I felt like the servings size was a bit small & the garlic rice wasn't as garlicy the way I like it. However, the sausage itself was full of flavor & made up for everything else ! The food came out in 10ish-15 minutes -- we didn't wait too long. Price point was about $15 for my meal which is pretty standard. I will come back soon to try more yummy Filipino breakfast dishes :-)

Yelp
I love Filipino food and was really excited that this place opened up. I hope they stay for a year because this place has seen turnover every year when their lease is up for renewal. I hope this is not a trend that keeps on going. I got their Pork intestine skewer that comes with Thai pepper and lettuce. Honestly, it tasted incredible and it was nicely charred and cooked. However, it was pretty pricey for only 2 skewers. Taste and service is good. But price to quantity is a bit off in my opinion.

Ada Y.

Yelp
The pork belly was fried to perfect crispiness and super chunky pieces, I think there was six pieces total. The garlic rice was very fragrant. The two eggs that it came with was fried perfectly runny. Honestly, all of it was really great, I just wish that the portions were a little bit more rice to help pair with the really fatty pork belly.

Yelp
I got to visit Almuchow on their soft opening day, and did expect a bit of a wait since it was their first day open, especially during the lunch hour. All in all, I really enjoyed the food I ordered! Lumpiang Shanghai - Very flavorful and super crispy. I did think the sauce container could've been just one contained filled to the top, since I got two and both containers were halfway filled (just to save on materials). Longanisa Rice Plate - I love longanisa, so this was an easy winner. The garlic rice was flavorful packed with garlic, and the vinegar really helped brighten everything and make it feel less heavy. For a soft opening day, Almuchow did a good job! Definitely would like to visit again in the future and have more opportunities to try other Filipino food!

Michelle S.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to try this Filipino place but I got a little disappointed. I got just lumpia and a side of white rice and the total was almost $20. The lumpia was a little greasy and there wasn't a lot of filling. I don't know if I'll find back. Luckily, the service was good!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Almuchow ATBP in San Gabriel's Blossom Market with my friends, and it was a delightful experience for us. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Filipino and Asian fusion dishes that are both flavorful and beautifully presented. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Each dish we tried was delicious, with a perfect balance of spices and ingredients. If you're in the area and looking to explore some exciting flavors, Almuchow ATBP is definitely worth a visit.

Kamryn G.

Yelp
I am so in love! Their pancit was 10/10 and came out steaming hot. I could tell it was fresh and the chicken was so tender. The portion is massive and the flavor was on point. Will definitely be back

Oscar D.

Yelp
Very tasty food. I enjoyed the pancit canton. It has lots of ingredients. Will be back. Our first time here. Ambience is colorful. True to its name. It's a market where people gather.

David C.

Yelp
This will be a quick review, because all I got to go was an order of the lumpia. Now, I don't know what to say about Filipino restaurants. I briefly was friends with a Filipino family years ago and went to birthday parties at their house and the Filipino food was to die for. And it wasn't home cooked. It was brought in from places they knew. I wish I had gotten the names, because the few Filipino joints I've tried since then have really been let downs. Usually the lumpia are good everywhere, though. I can't really say that here. They were edible but not great, and I can't say they made me want to go back and try anything else here. My rating would probably be 2.5 instead of 3, except I did eat them. Still, I cannot recommend this place. Sorry.

Nancy C.

Yelp
Friendly staff, quick service. I only got the lumpia, which were alright. Not amazing, but not bad either. Wasn't blown away so not sure I'd go back to try anything else. Located in Blossom Market Hall in San Gabriel. Lots of parking in a huge parking lot. I got the food to go but there seemed to be plentiful seating.

Aaron T.

Yelp
Smack-dab in the middle of Blossom Market Hall stands this small but very mighty establishment that serves homestyle Filipino food. You find typical offerings such as pork belly, fried fish, pansit, kare-kare and more. There should be something for everyone here with all that they offer. I went for the tocilog plate (sweet pork with garlic fried rice and 2 eggs). Very tasty! Also tried my friend's pansit, which was a large portion IMO and tasted great. A nice addition to the present offerings at BMH!

Carl N.

Yelp
Almuchow is a brand new restaurant that serve traditional Filipino comfort food in San Gabriel Mission. They serve breakfast (all day) and lunch. Indoor seats and space are spacious and located within the Blossom Market food court. I had their Pancit Bihon (thin noddles). It was good and serving was huge. Atmosphere was okay. Prices were fair. Service was good. Food portion was generous. Collectively, I enjoyed my dine-in experience at Almuchow. It's a good spot to try Philippine food.

Ray Y.

Yelp
I ordered the Tapsilog(sweet beef) with garlic fried rice and eggs. It was delicious! I haven't had it for a long time and it brought me back to when I was young. It came with vinegar for the meat and added to the flavor. We also ordered the lumpia Shanghai and that was deep fried to perfection. My son recently started trying them and wanted to share. The amount of food could be shared of you want variety. This food hall had other types of food so my wife ordered from another stall. Waiting time was a bit long, but it was understandable. Overall, would go back again to try the other breakfast dishes!

Ann Q.

Yelp
What's with the pork industry lately??? Everything is all FAT! Bacon is 80% fat, and both my bagnet and tacilog proteins were 80% fat if not more. The rice tasted good but was so saturated in oil you could see from my photo how it glistens. Even tho I couldn't finish my lunch, I legit felt sick for the rest of the day. I had the leftovers the next day but paired it with lots of fibrous veggies. Overall, the food was just ok taste wise. If you are in the Glendale area and looking for decent cheap Filipino eats, I would recommend "Soo Good Lutong Pinoy" over this place hands down.

Tom M.

Yelp
The newest addition to the roster at Blossom Market Hall, Almuchow Atbp, brings authentic Filipino comfort food favorites to this part of the 626! Opted to swing by on a Sunday during lunch and they were popping! Lots of orders and the phone constantly ringing - so you know the word is spreading! Ordered the Tapsilog which was even better than I imagined it would be! The beef tapas was soft and flavorful. The garlic rice provided the perfect flavor to balance out the tapas and the eggs were pure perfection. Noticed some other items on the menu that I hadn't heard of but looks like they're Ilocano bites! The space can get all kinds of hectic during busier hours as the other spots at blossom have their own devoted fans! (Pro tip - have your friend scout a table while you line up to order). Beyond excited to try the rest of the menu & definitely worth a try the next time you're in San Gabriel and craving some Filipino fare!

Andrew H.

Yelp
Love this new spot in Blossom Market and some much needed Filipino food for lunch. Noodles were so tasty and a good amount, was gonna take home but after I smelled it I just sat at a table and ate it all. Definitely coming back

Lucia L.

Yelp
Lumpia here was terrible! They were literally so tiny and quite greasy. It was a big portion but we literally barely ate any of it because they were not good - filling didn't have a good ratio of vegetables to pork. It was just pork and texture was too snappy because of that. It also seemed to be served with just supermarket Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce. Very subpar imo.

Edwin M.

Yelp
I didn't even know this food court existed. Food here was yummy. Service was wonderful. Will be back.

Ferdie G.

Yelp
Joyce, I know what I ordered that day, the menudo was your special of the day. You know I really wanna support you guys as we need more Filipino restaurants here in SGV but I can't support somone who can't even make a mediocre food. Piece of advice season your food properly and use less oil, maybe use some "Magic Sarap". I ordered 3 things from you guys and everything was bland as water. Also don't give me that mambo jumbo about the struggles of a business owner, I know the struggles as I'm a small business owner myself, just not in the food industry.

Diego L.

Yelp
I haven't had much Filipino food before, so I wanted to dive into the culture more! Almuchow caught my eye when I looked at their menu! I was with a friend and we wanted to grab a quick bite. I ordered the pork intestines skewers. It came with a single Thai pepper that was just the right amount for every bite! Also, it came with a pallet cleanser of two pieces of lettuce. The intestines were slightly charred which countered the gelatinous texture. It was a perfect ratio of crisp and fattiness! The intestines were marinated with a mild barbecue sauce which was not overwhelming and quite pleasant. The pepper that was provided added a great spice kick as well! *Warning* Just nibble on the pepper haha for every other bite if you are sensitive to spice. The serving size is well suited for two people. If you are really hungry and want only intestines, it definitely enough for a full tasty meal! Looking forward to try more of their food!

Andy P.

Yelp
Great food and fast service! I really loved the Tapsilog 5 STARS! The Crispy Pata was excellent as well.. I'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Denise H.

Yelp
Great choices and great food! Thanks for the decent prices and quality food & service!

AlyssaZee Z.

Yelp
Great food. Tried the pancit bihon and lumpia. A lot of food! Could've used some more lemon for the pancit but that's a personal preference.

Rosemarie L.

Yelp
As a Filipina- American, I am glad to see more options for Filipino food coming into the area (aside from WestCo) My boyfriend ordered two plates of tapsilog (comes with 2 servings of garlic rice, 2 eggs, cucumber, & tomato ) + mango drink. I was pleasantly surprised with the portions considering most vendors in Blossom Market give out small portions. We were honestly okay sharing one plate as it was enough to feed both of us. Food was amazing as expected, and the meat was so tender. I'm excited to come back again to try out more menu items! It definitely hit the spot :)

Toanito D.

Yelp
I'm not a Phillipino so not a good judge of the authentic taste. I can only judge of what tastes good to me. On to what I think: of the overall 3 stars eating: Food: 2 stars I had the Tapsilog, marinade beef, garlic rice, and 2 sunny side up eggs. The eggs were nicely cook no complain t. The rice was hard and not fully cook, not good. The meat was overly salty and dry like beef jerky, not my preference. My tongue is fully marinade with salt now. Topping was sparse with one slice of tomato and 2 slices of cucumber. Atmosphere: 3.5 stars It's in a food market with common seating area. There are many vendors to choose from. Seating is adequate. Service: 3 stars All self service. Expense: 3.5 stars $16 for a Togo size box with medium size serving. I have small appetite so it was adequate. But a little more generous portion or better condiments topping would be more appreciated. Return: 3 stars Half yes, half no. What's holding me back is the half cooked rice.

Pope C.

Yelp
First of all, this is basically a breakfast place. Most offerings are Filipino breakfast Staples. They come with garlic fried rice, two eggs, cucumbers, and tomatoes. They come also with a choice of homemade Filipino sausage, or Filipino bacon, or some kind of Filipino jerky. We ordered a side order off roast pork belly. Overall the meal was very delicious and I can't wait to go back again.

Bee B.

Yelp
Oh man! This place is GOOD! One of the best Filipino breakfast place I've been to. We got tapsilog, tocsilog and lumpia and they were all delicious! Good portion for the price too. We came here on a weekend right when they opened coz the market hall gets packed around lunch time. So happy to have Filipino food near me and I'm definitely going to come back since it was only a 15 minute drive from me.

brittany s.

Yelp
Got pancit bihon & lumpia. I've tried a lot of Filipino spots and it's really hit or miss. This was a pleasant surprise and love that it's local. Seen a prior review saying it doesn't have flavor after the fact of eating my own food and thinking quite the opposite. Quick service & other vendors nearby, it's a 10/10 for me (:

Leon C.

Yelp
This is the best Filipino food in the San Gabriel Valley! Fast service, tasty food, made with love. This place is a must try!

Ella Louise I.

Yelp
As a filipino, I am deeply offended by the food. Especially the rice. It was extremely dry and hard. For the price they charge, I expected better. The meat was salty and overcooked. Will not return.

Sonya N.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious crispy pata!! Moist inside, crackling outside. Fresh filling in egg rolls, and refreshing calamansi juice.

Nina N.

Yelp
Having lived in Alhambra for a couple of years, it was nice to find a Filipino spot within walking distance. I also like that their name is a portmanteau between 'almorzar' (to eat lunch in Spanish) and 'chow,' which tickled me a bit. That and the abundance of titas and titos I saw in the eating area was enough to draw my taste buds. Aside from the delicious silog plates, (what my friend ordered) I really enjoyed their Bangus paired with that delicious vinegar dipping sauce and atchara (pickled papaya). Who doesn't love fried fish? It was prepared like how my grandma made it growing up, and that's saying something. You also have the option of getting garlic or Java rice to pair with your entrees. The price is great for the portions they give you -too much, just like Filipinos are apt to do (complimentary)-but overall, just a nice down home experience.

Beatrice B.

Yelp
Today was my time ordering at Almuchow. I love Filipino food but Almachow made me love it even more. The Daing Na Bangus was delicious! The vinegar and garlic sauce was so good. I also ordered the Pansit Bihon and Pork Belly Sinigang. Both, also delicious! I plan on going back really soon!

SL M.

Yelp
The liempo and lumpiang shanghai were very good. Everything is cooked fresh. There were so many choices and will just have to return to try the other dishes.

Maria R V.

Yelp
Ordered lumpia and they were perfect. Just like my mom's recipe. This place is located in a very well maintained food hall and there was ample parking behind the building.

Yue Y.

Yelp
Really good, loved the lunch special - Crispy pork belly with vegetable stew (included bitter melon and kabocha squash). Portion was ok for the price - I'll be coming back to try out more stuff!

Art A.

Yelp
I ended ordering their longsilog, spamsilog, bagnetsilog (all came with garlic rice and eggs) and pork belly sinigang.... I have to say it was sarape and looking forward to trying out their "crispy Kare Kare"...
