Absolutely love this place. The food is consistently delicious and you can really taste the quality in every dish. Everything feels fresh, well-prepared, and made with care. On top of that, the service is phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time. This is hands down one of my favorite Filipino restaurants. Highly recommend!

This is always my go to spot for office potlucks, but I also come here just for myself. The beef caldereta is my favorite, but honestly everything on the menu is good. The sinigang has a great sourness, and the breakfast items are really solid too. I feel like I’ve tried most of the menu at this point, and it has all been consistently good. For catering trays, they do require pre payment, but it is definitely worth it. Even during holidays, the pickup experience for catering orders has been easy and smooth.

We’ve been regular customers of Almuchow, and we keep coming back because we truly love their food. Even at their old location, which was small - service was always fast and attentive. That’s why it honestly feels bad to write this, but our recent experience at their new (and much bigger) location was really disappointing. When we arrived, we waited at the entrance expecting someone to seat us, but no one approached, so we eventually seated ourselves. We were already very hungry, and we waited again for someone to take our order… still, no one came. When the manager finally came out, he asked if we were ready to order. We said yes, and he told us, “I’ll be right with you.” To most customers, that phrase means, “I’m just doing something quickly, but you’re next on my priority list.” But instead, he went to greet new customers who came in after us, seated them, passed by us again, and repeated the same words - “I’ll be right with you.” Then yet another group came in, and they were also seated immediately while we continued to be ignored. At that point, after being passed over multiple times, we decided to leave. We love Almuchow’s food and have supported them, so we truly hope this was just an off day. But experiences like this matter, especially in a new and bigger space where good service is even more important. We’re hoping things improve, because we really do want to keep coming back.

Saw all the great reviews decided to give it a try. It was alright. Place is small so it's best to takeout, parking is decent. I got the lechon and tapas combo. The lechon was thick and big but also very fatty. Taking a big bite of it all I got was fat and it was semi dry. The rice was cooked perfectly along with the eggs. The tapa was decent, but nothing to rave about. Service was alright. What got me was that it seemed that They have a reward system with your number. When I went to enter it, they put their own personal number in for the rewards. Not sure what that was about.

Whoa! A Filipino Breakfast Only?! Sign me up!! I stumbled here early in the morning escaping the rain. The place is small and can get easily crowded luckily a family left so I was saved from eating outside . I Ordered Tapsilog its fried dried beef sprinkled with salt and spices along with eggs and fried rice. The beef was not hard that'll break your tooth, its soft and tasty but the serving was small😆 fried was good too. If only they have this in Vegas I would go there every morning.

Indoor seats and space are very limited; no restroom available. Atmosphere was okay. I had one of their breakfast items called Tocilog x lumpia. I liked it as well as their Calamansi juice (citrus lime kind). Prices were fair. Service was good. Food portion was modest. Collectively, I enjoyed my dine-in experience at Almuchow. It’s a good spot to have Philippine food.

I deliver uber eats from there and it always smells so good I had to try their food , so when I was done delivering, I ordered from them and it's was so delicious . Now I am hooked on their food, plus it's always made fresh, doesn't sit around. Two thumbs up.

The space is small but clean, and the woman at the counter was very nice and friendly (salamat ate!). Came here today - we’ve ate a lot of silogs in several Filipino eateries but this place by far has the best tasting silogs we’ve had. Everything is made to order so it might be a little wait but definitely worth it. Kudos to the chef(s) - the food was super delicious and the lechon kawali was a perfect crisp/texture (not hard and overcooked like some places)! Their house-made mango drink was refreshing and not overly sweet too. Definitely will be coming back to try more food :)

We were too hungry we forgot to take pictures! I got the combo item with bagnetsilog and the pork was super crunchy and delicious (especially with the spicy vinegar) and their delicious garlic fried rice. I also had a craving for lumpia and got an order too. On the way out I grabbed one of their ginataang mais (coconut milk + corn) desserts and enjoyed the cold refreshing treat on the drive home (not too sweet!). Will definitely be back when I am craving some filipino breakfast.

Good authentic flavors. Small casual place for lunch. They cook everything fresh so it takes a little time but the wait was worth it.

We ordered the longsilog and tapsilog and both were delicious. Longsilog came with garlic rice, skinless longanisa and eggs. The tapsilog was yummy it was kinda like beef steak as the tapa is on the wetter side instead of dry tapa. It is small inside with about 4 tables. Friendly staff. We'll come back again.

Not my style. Was greeted by an empty kitchen in front of me and two full tables to my right. Once one of the cooks emerged she advised that her coworker would be out shortly to take our order. We sat ourselves, grabbing menus stacked by a nearby table. The waitress was very friendly offering a nice smile while taking our drink orders. I was not sure of the bagnetsilog breakfast which she advised was pork and that the daingailog was the bangus. Having had Bangui for the past 2 days, I opted to try the tapsilog which in all honesty, I've never ordered from a restaurant. Only enjoyed that my mamang made growing up. But what I got was far from what I remembered. And a since being Filipino-Americans, instead of coming home to milk and cookies like my American counterparts, I came home to tapa, rice and tomatoes. But that tapa, mmmm, was a nice golden and dark brown (golden for the fatty parts) and the salted dice tomatoes was the perfect compliment to cut through the grease in which it was fried in. And of course the starchy staple of rice balanced it out completely. Unfortunately, what I got here was not steak like cuts of meat (similar to that of a carne asada plate) but blackened shreds of meet with a huge chunk or cubed beef. There was a smaller, thinner piece was it was so tough. I am sure it was bistek refried. And as far as the tomato, all I got was half a slice and one slice of cucumber cut in half. My dad ordered the tortang talong which was tasty but quite salty. And it was recommended along with this place by a friend of his. My mom's order: the bagnetsilog came in looking like lechon. Sadly, it was not crispy at all. But maybe this is how tapsilog is in the restaurants now? I'm not sure. But I'll be eating that at home and most likely will not be back. And if this is no longer a buffet, why keep that existing set up? Why the open kitchen where the guests arriving don't see anyone. Usually open kitchens like that are open where the guests dining can see where all The drama and excitement happens.

I visited right after a long night shift, looking forward to a great meal. I placed a substantial takeout order, spending over $70. ​Unfortunately, when I arrived home, I discovered the Tapsilog--the item at the very top of my order list--was missing. ​I called immediately to inform them. They apologized and asked me to drive all the way back to pick it up. While I appreciate that they prepared the missing item, there was absolutely no compensation or gesture of goodwill offered for the significant inconvenience and extra travel time. ​When I asked if I would receive anything for my trouble (a discount, small gift, or coupon), the response was just a casual "No and a smile." ​This poor service recovery overshadowed the food itself. Spending over $70 and then being forced to make a second trip due to their error, only to be met with zero effort to retain me as a customer, is truly disappointing. Attention to detail on the order and a willingness to offer a small kindness to an inconvenienced customer are basic requirements for good service. I will think twice before ordering here again.

Decent food. Got some lumpia on the side, but it was too salty. We got the tapsilog, which was pretty good (7.5/10). Loved the eggs and garlic rice. We also got the tocilog (pork) and the meat was too tough, jaw was hurting chewing it (6/10). Don't know if I would come again. Service was alright, no long waits or anything.

This establishment is very cute and simple, with a great selection of food. I came specifically for the lumpia, and they were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back to try more items. The customer service was wonderful and super fast, and the whole place was very clean.

This is a gem of a find if you like Filipino food. First time being here. Ordered the longsilog, tocilog and kare kare. The si logs were good...I especially like the flavors of both the longganisa and tocino. Tocino was slightly tougher but still good. The kare kare with the crispy beignet did not disappoint. Ample parking space at the plaza, price is a bit more than anticipated although they have decent portions. Place is small - enough for 12 diners only so big groups would not be recommended. Although good service, kitchen is a bit slow with the orders. Overall, still a great find, off the beaten path of Amar/seafood city.

My husband and I ordered takeout from this restaurant. I'm always on the hunt for a go-to Filipino spot since I'm further away from family. I found this place after a quick google and yelp search. It's a smaller place but there are some tables for a few people to eat their food at the restaurant. Our pickup was super easy and the people there were very friendly and quick for our transaction. The food itself was delicious. I ordered pancit bihon, bagnet (ala carte), side of rice, lumpiang shanghai and spamsilog. The pancit was cooked perfectly and once the lemon was added, it was a perfect balance of acidity and savory. I liked how crunchy and salty the bagnet was; it paired perfectly with the rice and "mang tomas" sauce. My husband liked the spamsilog, but wished there were more spam slices. The lumpia was crunchy and delicious. The only complaint I have is that the food is on the pricier end. We paid about $70 for everything which is a lot for Filipino food. The portions were at least larger so it made up for some of the price.

I don't have Filipino food often but decided to give this place a try. It was smaller than I thought so seating is limited with only four tables. Most people come in for takeout but we dined in. Their menu had a good amount of options to choose from especially from their rice dishes and I chose the Bagnetsilog. Their Bagnetsilog has fried lechon, garlic fried rice, and sunny side up eggs and some sauce. The portion size was good and there were giant pieces of the fried lechon. The dish had so much flavor that I could not stop myself from devouring it. It's a heavier meal for sure so you need to come hungry. It's also more affordable than most places so I would definitely come again and try their other dishes as well.

Food was delicious but the portions are very small. For $13.50 after tip, small piece of fish. My friends had great amazing meals as well. Would come again but probably not get what I got again due to the small piece of fish

The food was overly salty and the rice was super dry. The only thing that I enjoyed was the sausage unfortunately :( The calamansi juice felt diluted and the container that the arroz caldo came in was broken.

But today, I decided to venture out of my kitchen and into someone else's. We checked out this small Filipino spot--tiny, maybe 10 to 12 chairs total--but packed with flavor. The menu is straightforward: your classic Filipino breakfast staples and some all-time favorites like Kare Kare and Pancit. We ordered the mix pancit, tocilog (tocino, garlic rice, egg), bagnetsilog (crispy pork belly, garlic rice, egg), pork sinigang, and pork isaw. Every single dish hit the spot. The tocino was tender and flavorful, the bagnet was perfectly crispy, and the sinigang came out piping hot with just the right amount of sourness and heat. And that pork isaw? Mouthwatering. Now let me say this: if you're not a fan of fatty pork goodness, this is not your spot. From the tocino to the sinigang, this place is all about rich, savory flavors. No valet, no fancy plating, no health-conscious options here. This isn't for vegans, dieters, or anyone expecting a wellness café vibe. I hate to say that I haven't actually been inside this restaurant but I do order from them all the time on Instacart! They have the best pork and chicken bbq, goto, pancit bihon and their breakfast plates are really good. Even my mom who's picky loves their food. Definitely try their food. You will enjoy it.

The food was amazing like really good and I like how there was a walk up station you can go to for sauces, condiments and water. The dining was OK, definitely not the place to go eat inside as a big group, no more than 4 seats at the tables. The service was good, waitress checked up on us once and made our experience run smooth. Decided to come here since it opens at 8AM and I was also craving some lumpia. I tried ordering my dish in hopes of picking up and paying for my order once I arrive, unfortunately, no one picked up. A part of me was also willing to risk coming here regardless of driving the opposite direction from my workplace and being late. Well, let's just say, I'm glad I did. It took them approximately 15-20 minutes to have the lumpia made, and oh my goodness, it was so good and it sure smells good as well. The lumpia itself was so crispy and authentic to the point where I didn't even need the sauce. After driving for 30-40 minutes to my workplace, it was still crispy! I have no idea what they put in it but it sure got me addicted as I kept munching on it. The price was also affordable, I just hope they don't increase it. Other than that, I would love to be back and try their other menus.

Came in as a walk in on the Sunday before Christmas and they were open, and we were ordering catering to go for their 50 of their lumpia for about $35. Not many chairs and tables to sit at so don't plan on dining in. It came out hot and crispy, and there was plenty of hot and sweet sauce to dip with. They were a hit at the party!

Filipino food just like your Lola used to make it. Had a random craving for some tocino and garlic rice for breakfast and this was exactly what I had in mind! The menu covers all your classic Filipino dishes. The customer service was friendly and food came out hot and within a reasonable time frame. Only downside was that I didn't realize how quaint the place was - so not the best choice for parties larger than 2-3 people if you are looking for a guaranteed place to sit down and eat. I would recommend going early in the morning around the time they open so you know you'll get a seat. They also do catering, so that's a big bonus!

Such a cute little spot located in a little plaza so there is plenty of parking. We stopped in after discovering them at a Yelp event and loved it! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and staff was very friendly. There are a couple tables inside to eat, otherwise this is a very easy to-go establishment too. Everything is reasonable priced as well. One thing I love about Filipino food is the pack of flavor the food brings, especially addition of vinegar-based sauces and Almuchow was no different! We ordered: + Tapsilog - the eggs had a slightly runny yolk, nice flavor in the garlic rice, and the meat was tender. I love the bit of friend garlic on top. + Pinakbet with Bagnet - generous portion of pork belly that was cut into the right bite size pieces. Also came with squad, green beans and bitter melon. Sauce consistency was a little thinner but the flavor was there. + Pork Isaw - comes with about 5 skewers of grilled large intestine pieces. The glaze was sweet to cut the fattiness and was delicious to us! + Calamansi Juice - very refreshing! Perfect for a hot day. Their sign inside "Good Food is Good Mood" definitely rings true here!

It was a 20+ minute drive on a Saturday morning getting there but it was worth it. I called my order in so it was ready when I got there. The staff member at the register might've been the same as on the phone that kindly took my order, they were very pleasant in person as well. I loved both orders I got: lumpiang Shanghai and tapsilog. Both were very authentic and tasted like home :) I just found out too that they're opening up a mini branch at Blossom Market in San Gabriel. Perfect for us on the west side of SGV. I can't wait!

I think this is the place to go if you're looking to pick up some really good Filipino comfort breakfast. It is a very small place with only 3 tables, so I recommend taking it to go. PRICE - a little steep, but I think it's justified considering the quality, service, quantity, and economy. SERVICE - friendly gentleman taking the order and looked like he was willing to help answer any questions (although I did my research and came in with my game plan). It seems like they cook to order, so I did have to wait about 5 min for my single plate, but I am not complaining! PARKING - fairly easy. In a shared parking lot with the rest of the small strip mall side FOOD - Got the Tocilog (tocino = sweet pork, egg, garlic fried rice). YUM! I Their tocino was very well marinated and the meat had the right amount of crisp to it! Would definitely recommend to others!

This is a good quick stop for Filipino food! When I'm craving tocino or longsilog, but don't have the ingredients at home, I make a trip here! Imo, their sinigang is pretty pricey in the sense that it comes in a small to-go bowl, so I usually opt for just the combo plate. Their store itself is small and is located in the same plaza as Stater Bros! Food: I got their Longsilog plate with a side of tocino! It's my go-to order here and it never disappoints. The plate itself comes with two over-easy eggs along with garlic fried rice (a must when eating Filipino food). On some days, if you're lucky, they have carioca for sale! Their sugar is a little on the burnt side in my opinion, but still delicious! Service: Their service is decent (50/50). One day you will be met with welcoming staff and the next, you'll feel like a nuisance to them for stepping foot into the store.

First timer over here. This place is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Small inside - 4 tables so not good for big parties. Regardless, the food is delicious! The crispy kare kare has both the lechon and tripe (win-win). The sinigang is perfectly sour and the embutido is soooo good. Wish that rice came with the entrees but that is the least of my worries. Must try if you like Filipino food.

I love this place! Their food is freshly cooked with generous portions. I love having a side of broth or soup with a meal; they don't normally have a side of soup on their menu. They were nice enough to just make a simple broth and garnished it, which tasted really good. Great customer service.

My husband buy a halo halo only right now, I noticed there is no Macapuno only langka and banana a little slice of Leche Flan Last Sunday first time we tried that was really good Now they changed ingredients incomplete

It's quite disappointing to pay for a food that's almost inedible. The pork meat is super burnt and hard like eating a charcoal. I'm not even kidding as you can see in the photo, fried rice is ok. Why serve this kind of quality of the food. This cost $13.99 on door dash, not the first time ordering from this place.

Craving homestyle Filipino Breakfast? Almuchow Atbp. is the place to go to! My family and I were craving Filipino breakfast, but we also were not looking to eat at Filipino fast food restaurants. We stumbled upon Almuchow and wow! Really reminded us of eating breakfast back at the Philippines. We ordered Tapsilog, Longsilog, Tokwa't Baboy, and Arroz Caldo and calamansi juice. The portion sizes were really good for the price! The arroz caldo portion size was big at such a great price. The tapsilog was not dry at all! Service: The service was amazing! It felt like we were eating with our family back in the Philippines - that's how hospitable the staff were . Ambiance: We ate there around 8:30am and it was not too crowded. The inside has 4 tables - 2 two-persons and 2 four-persons. Summary: If you are craving Filipino breakfast, Almuchow is where it's at! The food is fresh and authentic. It really feels like you are eating breakfast at the Philippines. Support local businesses and small restaurants!!

The food here is always good and portions are decent. The interior seating is a bit small so I always take my food orders to-go. The tocilog and the tapsilog are very flavorful and the egg is always cooked to perfection. Prices are decent as well. Definitely recommend for quick n easy filipino breakfast!

I was so excited to try almuchow agqin because I ate there before at their store so they set up shop at a car event yesterday and guess what no rice already it was like still early for the day. Don't you guys prepare for events like these?

Delicious Filipino food! 100% recoomend. I haven't tried much Filipino food, but this place was absolutely delicious. I got the Kare-Kare which is basically a beef stew in a peanut sauce. I usually hate peanuts, but this was so flavorful and a delight! Their menu can be hard to understand, but ask for recommendations and the cashier will happily explain the menu. Super friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back for some tapsilog. I also absolutely love their garlic rice, not too much garlic flavor lol. I don't know any other words on the menu, but I'll keep coming back until I do. They have seating indoors. A little small, but can definitely fit 3-4 parties. If you have a large party (larger than 8), you'll probably want to do to go. I 100% recommend this place. Amazing ethnic food.

Too small a place. Parking is too tight. Prices are too high. Food...hhhmmmm...so-so. I am not a fan of this place. I have to give them a star. Otherwise, I cannot post a review. The owner of Almuchow is just like the restaurant itself...NO GOOD!!!

Most authentic Filipino food I've ever tried around West Covina. I love garlic rice the most!

I always compare my Filipino food to my grandmas home cooking and this is pretty close to it, when it comes to breakfast. My mom and I shared the tapsilog and daingsilog and it was so flavorful. The garlic fried rice and two eggs that come with it, Oh em gee! So good. I will definitely stop by again!

They have the tastiest Kare-kare I've had. Calling for pickup takes only about 15-20 minutes and the food are wrapped properly to avoid leaks. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Prices are fair. For catering, order at least 1 day ahead for some items but I've done it same day for most selections.

This is one of my favorite Filipino spots ever. We got the longsilog and daingsilog for breakfast, which was super delicious. The kare-kare was super good as well, and the meat was crispy. The staff are super friendly and efficient and always accommodating. There are also spots to enjoy your food if you wish to dine in. I will never get tired of coming back here for good Filipino food.

First time trying this spot. Great food. Really fresh. Yummy. Didn't take long, maybe 10 minutes for the sweet pork breakfast, the Tocilog. It was really good. The garlic fried rice was fragrant and tasty. Also got extra pork lechon, I forget what if it's called. Will definitely be going back there. The meal was totally satisfying!

My first time here . Ordered breakfast; garlic rice w/egg and bangus. My son ordered same but with tocino. He had Thai tea and I ordered coffee. For coffee drinkers this tasted more like tea, not strong or even tasted like coffee. Thai tea was ok. Food was very good , presentation good and portions good . The atmosphere was on. People walking into the back talking loud laughing ; seemed unprofessional and loud. Price was expensive . They must do most of their business catering because not much room inside . Overall ok.

Hot food! Yummy! All worth the 30min drive. The tapsilog and all the silog are really yummy! The garlic rice is really well made. The service is fast and nice. There are four tables but you can order to go.

Taste decent, price is friendly, the service is nice. The waitress was nice and answered my questions regarding some of the dishes and explained what they are. The place is a bit small but it's very clean and nice to dine in.

Came in to get some lumpia. Pretty good. I'm coming back to try other stuff. The lumpia was $17 including a mango drink. That wasn't good and the lumpia was super salty. But no one eats this kind of food to be healthy. I'm still coming back because I want to try other stuff. Service is cool. Support local restaurants. See you guys next time.

The food is slightly pricey compared to most Filipino restaurants, but the quality makes it very much worth it! The lechón kawali is crunchy, juicy and tender, and the tocilog is sweet and the perfect amount of fatty. The rice is also great and the staff is very nice. Definitely recommend!!

Recently was able to try Almuchow with my wife since we were craving Filipino breakfast dishes on the weekend. Based off the pictures and pricing we were lead to try em out. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant is quite small about 4 tables and an outside table I believed. The service was nice and pretty quick and we were dined in and it felt like home. We ordered the Tapsilog and Tocilog breakfast plates. Both were very good! You get 2 scoops of garlic rice 2 eggs and your protein. I think it's definitely worth the price you pay. If you have a craving for Filipino breakfast give them a try! We'll be back again soon for sure!
