Google
Cool bar in Oakland near the BART station I love the Tamarindo margarita it was so good! And great prices

Google
Lovely neighborhood joint. It doesn't judge. Its warm inside when it gets cold. You can buy food from the awesome taco truck outside or just bring your own. They got drinks and they will make you a michelada non alcoholic if you want it. No show offs here, just hometown folk lovn sports, food music and a good time.

Emmanuel Macias

Google
Great bar, the atmosphere and hospitality felt like we were back in Texas. Will definitely stop by next time we’re back in town!

E Lee

Google
Great spot to stop for a game. They had several TVs and they were playing multiple games. Of course at the 4th quarter, they changed all the TVs to the warriors game. It felt like a good mix of people in the place. There is a coin-op pool table. The service was quick. The mezcal cucumber cocktail was very refreshing on a warm day. The mezcal flight for $15 was def worth it.

Google
This was a chill place to go on a Friday night. They had Tv's playing the news but no music. Still was a nice spot. And they had a nice outside patio area

Brandii H.

Google
Local dive bar. Great vibes. Quick service. Cute little juke box to play your own music and a pool table for fun. I'll be back for sure!

Sisko Christine Knabe-Gracey

Google
I used to go here frequently about 2 years ago and paid a visit tonight... Boy what a change. It looks great. Kind of an upscale dive now. Great patio area, across the street from one of Oakland's best taco trucks that is open at least until 2am and across from Fruitvale station. Just look for the flashy lights and signage. Cant miss her!

Maricela Vazquez

Google
Our new go to spot. Amazing attentive bartenders, beautiful patio, great drinks... Cheers!

Angel C.

Yelp
An funky bar with fun local clientele, great drinks at a fair price, and chummy bartenders. The patio spaces is large, well lit and clean. They're gracious enough to allow outside food while also having an amazing food truck out back. For what's considered a dive bar I've had worse drinks at places who take pride in their cocktails. The garden margarita being an obvious standout
google avatar

Wanda R.

Yelp
Cool, vibe, cool atmosphere exactly what you want in a dive bar. Super dog friendly and they have a pool table.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
This is the first bar I've ever been a regular at. Less than 10 min from my place, right next to Bart, across the street from some great Mexican, with an even better taco truck right in its backyard. Very friendly staff, Oh and most importantly, cheap and delicious drinks!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Love this place. Great East Oakland spot. Eclectic clientele, fair prices, perfect patio, parking lot, sports on the TVs. Small restaurant next door and a food truck in back so there are food options and no problem bringing the food into the bar. Chris, the manager, is a cool guy. Not a hipster place, not a dive. It's a neighborhood bar and a great one. There are some good beers on tap including a couple of IPAs and Modelo Especiale. Everything you need.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is extremely awesome and has the best service. I am extremley glad I came here and every drink was delicious and made with passion. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and also a Mexican seafood truck in case you're hungry. The environment is awesome and if you like pool then this is the place to get drunk. I will definitely continue coming here and if you have never been here you must of been born under a rock. Give this place a shot and make sure to let them know I sent you here.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Decent drinks here, patio seating and there is a pool table inside. The prices are fair, got a pitcher to share that is probably about 3 servings for $25, however these were pretty basic drinks, not your fancy cocktail bar drinks! We got food at the food truck on site so it was nice to enjoy both!
google avatar

C L.

Yelp
great spot. reasonably priced, friendly service, nice patio with a taco truck. it's a good thing for me i don't live closer, i'd be here every day.
google avatar

Darius W.

Yelp
Cool lil bar in Fruitvale! The bar doesn't mind if you bring food in from the separate taco truck outside. Drinks are nice and neat. There's even a pool table for a little friendly competition. Cool joint!

Kathy N.

Yelp
Great neighborhood gem! Right next to Bart, surrounded by great food trucks, and they have their own in-house food now. Great bartenders and fair prices on drinks. The patio is prefect for a sunny day and they usually have live music! I seriously love this place!
google avatar

Araceli M.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere here. For my first time I would have to say it was good vibes all around. People are friendly and a lot of interesting characters telling stories. My bloody Mary and michelada were so good! Also a very diverse crowd. You can tell who the locals are for sure.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Fantastic bar and service. Excellent garden mezcalita, and micheladas! Great anti COVID ventilation with the two open doors while sitting inside provides wonderfully refreshing cross breeze. Beautiful patio and delicious adjacent taco truck. Will definitely be back!

Pam H.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Oakland! The comfort of a dive bar with the safety and cleanliness to make a single female feel comfortable. The bartenders are all skilled - their cocktail menu is consistent no matter who is serving you! FABULOUS margaritas! Always a great sign that everyone has worked there for years. The crowd is friendly and diverse. The staff is literally family. The drinks are reasonably priced. Great patio for summer days! This bar is "no frills" while managing to have everything you need in your neighborhood bar.

Yelp
The quintessential Fruitvale dive bar in an old building that doesn't smell like puke! F O U R S T A R S * SOLID BASICS :::: Taps: Stella, Racer5, Negra Modelo, Modelo Especial, Dos XX Amber, Bud Light. * GOOD FRUITVALE ENERGY Good, organic smorgasbord of Oaklanders from all around the neighborhood. A bi-lingual, undulating social experience -- we walk in with Mariachi music blaring, and walk out through a throng of celebrating Warriors fans. * GREAT SPORTS BAR (For Raiders & Warriors) :::: Tons of TVs. :::: Outdoor patio!!! * GREAT TACOS (ACROSS THE STREET) Bring food in and enjoy it with a nice glass of booze! They won't even trip. O N E M I N U S - NOTHIN TOOOOOOOOO FANCY Aloha's quaint low-endness is a blessing when you want to chase your beer with a shot of real life. It's a curse when the drunk dude on the stool next to yours mistakes you for a war buddy that he still has PTSD nightmares about and you have to convince him to calm the fuck down by showing him your I.D. and asthma inhaler. True story!
google avatar

Patty P.

Yelp
Finally got to this bar and I wish I had visited sooner! I had the Tamarindo Margarita and it was amazing! Very chill vibe with a great outdoor patio and on Saturday there was a food truck outside.

Yelp
we go to Aloha club to support the kitchen there (and it's great) but they ALWAYS get our drinks wrong when we order with Aloha Club. I'm not a racist, but if you cannot speak english and you don't understand the drink order just ASK or get someone to assist. We made it CLEAR that we tried their cucumber margarita and HATED it, but still, somehow she brought us another pitcher of that awful stuff (does ANY BODY like that?) AND i asked for a "mescalita" and she gave us another, smaller cucumber vomit cocktail. OK, to be fair, she's by herself on FATHERS DAY and "the corner" across the street is BLARING TUNES that nobody likes (that's why THEY'RE EMPTY) and maybe she couldn't hear but, i gave it the patient/concerned/supportive try and went into the actual BAR to order (where it was quieter and face to face) explained that she clearly mis-heard us and gave us exactly what we did NOT want so i ordered a magarita to chase that taste (of the cucumber) out of our mouths. Did she COMP the drink? Did she apologize? Did she even understand what happened and why i was there? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Yelp
I have been a patron of this establishment for many years. This place has substantially evolved during the past five years. Previously known as a neighborhood dive bar, it has transitioned to a hip indoor/outdoor spot which is both a lot of fun and very diverse. Set up as a great sports bar, day party venue and offering both delicious drinks and two different types of food (bbq and Mexican), it remains one of my favorite hangouts in the Town!
google avatar

Kourtney A.

Yelp
I absolutely love it here! Definitely a hidden gem! This is probably the best bar to watch a game (as long as you're a fan of Bay Area teams). There's TVs everywhere, a patio with a TV, the bartenders are friendly and attentive and drink selection is decent. And you can't go wrong with BOYF (food) when there's a taco truck across the street! I'll be back for game 5!

Keith B.

Yelp
I haven't been to the Aloha Club for years. Back then it seemed a little sketchy and so I never went back. Well, things have changed. I wanted to try the new Mexican restaurant attached to the bar (awesome!), so we stopped in to grab beers for outside. I noticed though when I entered that there was a $15 mezcal tasting. We went for the mezcal tasting on the second round, and I couldn't have been more pleased. It was 4 shots on a board with limes and oranges along with salt and chili powder. It was a beautiful layout and I totally smiled when I saw it. The mezcal's were awesome and I enjoyed them all. What a great day - they have a lovely outdoor area now with Palm Trees and heaters (those weren't running today as it was warm). I'll be back to have more mezcal and fantastic Mexican food next door!

Yelp
Best Bar in Oakland! Incredibly tasty margaritas. AWESOME bartenders! Unpretentious vibe. This is the perfect escape from the redundant DT Oakland scene which can get old quick. A uniquely Oakland place. I am almost hesitant to write a review because I want to keep the secret of how great this place is, but I also want any great Oakland biz to see as much success as possible. Will be back after dry January.

Yelp
Many bars make claims that they can't always live up to, but at this establishment they truly are what they profess themselves to be. Their bar certainly has to be the longest in town, ive been here on nights when it is jam packed with patrons and I always seem to find 2-3 stools open for seating. Once you grab a seat here, you owe it to yourself to enjoy an ice cold brew, as this is one of the few places around where their Coronas look like they came straight from an advertisement; chilled to the touch and dripping with condensation beads. If beer isn't your poison of choice, try a mojito, they are decent size for the price and always have enough alcohol to get things moving.
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
This place is great. It's the bar you think of when you want a good neighborhood bar, pool tables, pinball, long long bar and now they have food in the courtyard. Sit down and eat or get it to go. Really friendly people, Raiders fans so yeah!
google avatar

Nina C.

Yelp
This bar was awesome, and I don't even drink! We met friends here, got some tacos at the Guadalajara truck across the way, and came back for beverages. I ordered a virgin bloody mary and it was spicy, salty goodness, all for only $2! Loved the atmosphere and tunes (mostly salsa and Latin). Pool table, long bar with lots of stools, and plenty of side tables. 2 restroom stalls in the ladies room. Dedicated parking lot. Friendly and knowledgable bartender. I'd love to return!
google avatar

El J.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite bar in Oakland!!!! Try and Old Cuban you might not remember how you left but you'll remember that drink!! Cheap strong drinks just how I like it dope atmosphere never any problems
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
OMG I love this place! The drinks are so yummy and they give you a nice pour. They have a large selection of specialty signature cocktails. They're most famous for their amazing Mojito. Off top... I'm usually not a fan of Mojito's. I threw my sisters birthday party at The Aloha club. They don't even drink mind you. and they had seconds! The customer service is on point, the drink prices are super reasonable, recently upgraded the place and now they have a super dope patio and food. Yassssss!!!? It's about to go down in the town this summer. Lastly they sometimes They have a guest DJ but if not, they have a jukebox that has all the Slap.
google avatar

Ultima M.

Yelp
Rosa is a good bartender. The bar is very clean and well stocked up. I had the beer and shot for 7$. There is a nice patio in the back. The atmosphere here is low key and chill. No food or snacks. But there is a restaurant across the street and a food truck.
google avatar

Adriana B.

Yelp
Nice place to chill out back decently priced drinks. They have food directly next door and across the street for those needing some to soak up some alcohol. I had a good time here with 2 of my dear friends we were here on a Friday late afternoon into the evening and they'd been here before but I was a first timer. The music was all over the place and it seemed like the crowd was exactly the same. The bartender was nice and the drinks were on point like not too strong but also not watered down. They had a few specials and I opted for one of those. Not a craft bar obviously but the taste was good. I would come back if I was in the area for any reason great place for large groups. They have a pool table, and a few televisions. Decor is Hawaiian hence the name, the space is very much Oakland though lol.
google avatar

Blanca A.

Yelp
Great customer service! Live environment great music! The drinks are freshly made. The mojito and margaritas are the most popular! Definitely coming back thank you!

Alex T.

Yelp
I've driven past Aloha Club for years and i've never step foot in this place. I've always wanted to but, to me, on the outside it looks sketchy as hell. This year I made it my goal to come here to watch a sports even and my time came with a couple of friends to catch the last Spurs and Warriors game (2017 playoffs). Me walking in this establishment was like the sports commercial with everyone is a warriors fan looking at the viewer in disgust and at the end it's revealed that the person everyone was disapproving of was rocking Cav's gear... well that was me on that game with my Spurs gear. lol The vibe of the establishment is really chill. Definitely a Raiders bar and I can't wait for football season to catch a couple Raider games here at Aloha Club. There's TV's literally everywhere you look so, no matter where you're sitting you'll have a view of the game. There's also a pool table and the men's bathroom stall is literally like the stadium LOL theres a toilet stall and a small tub for urinals. There's a larger room in the back that have a pool table that's open for anyone. The bartenders are really down to earth and friendly. As soon as we sat Angel, our bartender treated and conversated with us like we were regulars. During Warriors playoff games they usually have prize give-aways or fan wear (rally towels and/or shirts). This is a great place to watch all your local sports team. When they say the longest bar, they're not kidding. The bar table runs down like 75% of the whole establishment. They have their own small parking lot but, come through foodmaxx and popeye side for easy access rather than fruitvale side. Will be coming here more often now!
google avatar

Raythaniel G.

Yelp
Hot as a mofo. Thirsty. Aloha Club has the longest bar in town. Outside patio in the back. They serve food now from La Guerreras Kitchen next door. Its down the street from the crib, so....cool spot for a nice beer. Pool table, outdoor patio, 4-5 flatscreens tv's showing the game, friendly bartender...i'll be back no doubt..
google avatar

Naycho B.

Yelp
This place has lots of potential. I see what they are doing here and i like it. New patio area coming soon. And plenty of TV's to watch your favorite team. As for my drink, i wanted something different. So i asked the bartender to make me a Greyhound. First one in years. Pretty tasty. Perfect afternoon cocktail.
google avatar

Jude D.

Yelp
Good music, delicious drinks and chill vibes. I love this place! I don't get here nearly enough and every time I come I remind myself to come more often.
google avatar

Yelp
A friend and I periodically undertake progressive meals in various neighborhoods to our respective cities and this walking tour always includes and surely commences with an adult beverage. Aloha Club was the first stop on our recent tour of Oakland that provides rich and rewarding food and beverage offerings in diverse cultural and ethnic backdrops. Prior entering Aloha Club I was alerted to the fact that this purveyor of adult beverages featured what's billed as the longest bar in Bay Area. Whilst I've not slurped at each and every bar in Bay Area and certainly did not apply tape measure to this bar, I can anecdotally write that it sure seemed a very long bar indeed. The bar staff were friendly and provide a generous pour. What was more pleasing to this writer is they offered a proper half pint or schooner as remembered from my youth in the Northwest to back my shot of whiskey. I appreciate Aloha Club that also appeared well equipped to accommodate those desiring to combine adult beverages and viewing televised sporting events.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
I take my staff here once a quarter. Our post-work spot or to celebrate special ocassions. Garden margaritas. Modern jukebox that will play any jam regardless of genre. It's a decent, no frills, neighborhood bar. Good enough assortment of liquor. I always plan to be there for two hours, but I'll look at my watch and it'll be midnight. Worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood. Nevermind the shady railroad/pitch black areas around the corner.

Jada W.

Yelp
Hotspot. Live DJ with great music and even better drinks. Had a great time celebrating my besties bday. .... They even have pool tables. Great time all around
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a Hidden Gem it is a great bar in the patio is a nice addition and surprise at this Aloha Club. We had a birthday party in the back patio for my brother and we all had an awesome time no issues drinks were pretty strong and everyone was very friendly!

K. A. A.

Yelp
Wow! I really enjoyed sitting at the longest bar and drinking the coldest beer in The Town. Friendly people, friendly atmosphere. Large screen TVs, pool table, and friendly bartenders, plus the bathrooms are clean!
google avatar

Shawn D.

Yelp
Longest bar, coldest beer in town. Also, super-friendly bartender, pool table, patio, and no pretensions. Solid place to catch up with friends for a drink.
google avatar

Miguel M.

Yelp
First time in Oakland we need a place to hit up on a Sunday. For a Sunday it's not a bad spot I was surprised they had a DJ on a Sunday, Do have to say he got Down with that old school hip hop can't go wrong with that. Do I recommend it? If you're looking to chill and watch a game shoot some pool with friends, Yes.
google avatar

Darcy M.

Yelp
Awesome bar, reggaton, and amazing bartender! Perfect stop after the White Elephant. I'll be back anytime near Fruitvale.

Yelp
Writing a yelp review for the Aloha Club almost doesn't make sense to me. It's chill af, but not in a forced downtown Oakland bar way. I can't write a fake thing trying to explain what shouldn't be explained -it's not right, it won't encapsulate anything about this place. I'll just tell you a few short tales of my experiences here: - I'm here with a friend who just left work, she's in work clothes and I was in my standard uniform of joggers, sneakers, and a shirt that can be buttoned but likely isn't. We're drinking and eating tacos from Tacos Sinaloa nearby (byof!) The Warriors are playing Game 4 in the finals against the Cavs and we're some of the only folks not in blue or yellow. The bar is warm and almost packed by the 2nd quarter, folks from all over, black, brown, two white guys who dont talk much (the best kind amiright?). We're all laughing and yelling at the same calls - sighing as the game progresses. We end up befriending a strange but kind man who turns out to be a teacher, and all his coworkers, who clearly don't like him as much but tolerate his oddities. We all eat tacos together. My friend wins a Warriors jersey from the raffle the bar is doing. It's a 3XL and she promises to make it into a dress. She has yet to do that. - I'm at an poetry reading across the street at Red Bay coffee and my friend realizes there's no alcohol at the event. She texts me this, frustrated. We head over to Aloha Club, it's not quite empty, a few lingering folks on a Friday night around 11. We're all carded (I look like I'm 19-21 on an average day) and I proceed to order seltzer without being judged. A+. My friends get hard liquor because the poetry really did warrant being a lil fucked up. Apparently their drinks were strong and decently priced. We sat there, relatively undisturbed, content with the quick service and ample seating available to process the bullshit we were gonna have to endure. Aloha Club before poetry is a win. Come here, chill, take it for what it is. The outdoor patio looks cool too, especially on a warm night.

Yelp
Thanks for the Great St Patrick's day Hosting !!! I had so much fun and drank a bit too much for sure !!! lol Adriana thanks to you personally for being great at bartending these amazing drinks and to you all for the Great and wonderful service!!! Will come back for sure :)

Yelp
I pass by this bar 2 to 3 times a day and I've always wanted to stop by. It's on the corner of San Leandro and Fruitvale so you can miss it. As I'm sitting in traffic one day after a long day of work, I decided to stop by. I had the Mojito, which the bar tender recommended and it was so good, I had order another. I noticed they have a pool table, lots of TVs, and an outdoor patio which looks great to hang out with friends. I am so glad I finally stopped by to try it out, I will definitely come back for another Mojito.

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Definitely a gem in Oakland. Great drinks my favorite were the mojitos and margarita garden. Bartenders are friendly, tvs all around, pool table and nice patio area. Appetizers I haven't had at other bars jicama and cucumber with lime and tajin and also japanese peanuts. Welcoming environment and just a great experience over all! Recommend!
google avatar

Lisa F.

Yelp
While stuck in Fruitvale, I stumbled across this bar and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were great, the bartenders and other staff were friendly, and I had a good time.

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere, diverse crowd, fun and pleasant patio for parties, delicious mojitos! The best I've tasted. And to top it all of they have a pool table. A unique touch was the savory cucumber and jicama appetizer. I encourage every one to stop by.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Fun dive bar that stays true to the Fruitvale spirit. Locals, good music, Dj,dancing, pool an outdoor patio and TV's to watch basketball or soccer on. Not a huge selection of beer on tap.
google avatar

Phoe N.

Yelp
Affordable drinks. Great outdoor space especially on a warm summer day. Location is ideal near Fruitvale Bart and other eateries. A nice, simple place to meet up for drinks after work hours. We also got Delicious and free cucumber con Chile y limon.

Yelp
I remember being 18 and going to Tijuana to get drunk. The bartenders spoke English and the bars were full of drunk college kids doing tequila poppers until they were puking on themselves, causing them to get thrown into jail as their friends pooled together their monthly cafeteria funds from mom and dad to bail them out. Oh, the sweet memories........ until it was me surrounded by Federallis with machine guns as I stupidly sprinted for the border. That is when I discovered that driving further into Mexico and drinking in small roadside towns was the way to go. I haven't done that in a long time but should I miss the memories I can always go to the not so aptly named Aloha Club. It is not tropical, as one might expect. It is Mexican. Picked up and transplanted from one of those small towns right into Oakland. The bartender nor the majority of her customers speak English so best to brush up on your broken Spanish and figure out how to order what you want ahead of time... unless Miguel is there, as he will make sure to translate for you. The juke box is filled with all of the Latin favorites and and a few American classics (think Johnny Cash). The regulars will gladly give you money for tunes, maybe to see what the Gringos pick but possibly because they are too drunk to pick themselves. This is a male dominated bar so if you are uncomfortable with the repeated offer of pulling a stool up next to a flirtatious aging Latin man then you might not want to check this place out. This bar definitely has all of the charm of the bars I used to get shitty at in college, minus the arrests and jail breaks. What's not to love!?

Yelp
I love this place. Been here 3 or 4 times and the drinks are always flowing. Usually, we come here before or after an A's game because it's not far from Fruitvale BART station. Great drink deals and a decent vibe.
