Aloha was the breakfast fuel we needed instead of having a heavy breakfast while we stayed in Old Montréal. So before anything else, even with all the chic new eateries that have popped up since the last time we visited in the area, the owner has brought an interesting no less refreshing idea to Old Montréal. And one that transported us to a tropical paradise during the Christmas holiday, with a vibe and style that really breathes new meaning to tiki chic.
Coffee is their main focus, but Aloha has some Smoothies, Pitaya and Açaí Bowls, a few light noshes and of course.... coffee. Even with my no dairy-no egg lifestyle already derailed, I couldn't pass up their Matcha Croissant-(hey....I'm human and had no self-control on this vacation). And by the way- that sucker was very good. Word on the street is that Aloja makes their own Matcha Croissant in-house and regular Croissant plus other pastries, are made elsewhere. But anyhow...
Owner was cool, music has a Chill vibe and smoothies are fresh- however, taste is subtle (not sure if it's a Montréal thing). And price? A bit out of range I felt- but chalked it up to: (1) location and (2) Hawaiian concept in Old Montréal. ©¿©
