Had some downtime in my pool tournament and came here. Might be the best Hawaiian Food I've had in Arizona. Bolkogi Plate was delicious and high quality meat. Had to get a manapua, so good too. Great flavor. Highly recommend!! The owner is a very talented Chef. Highly recommend it.

Google
LOVED the food I ordered. Everything was on point and I didn’t take a picture of it but the manapua was so delicious, I wish I got more than one. Will definitely be back!

Bertha O.

Google
The Hawaiian chicken was amazing, super juicy with just the right touch of sweetness. The island wings and beef plate were flavorful and came in big portions, plus the staff was really friendly and helpful. The manapua dough was soft and fluffy, though the filling could have been less dry.

The place was empty when we walked in even though it was a dinner time. I am guessing the original owners from the show are gone now either they have sold the place or retired. Otherwise there is no way this place has been on the TV show. I ordered loco moco, bulgogi plate, chicken katsu plate, and pork buns. The frozen beef patty was on loco moco. It was just terrible. Bulgogi and chicken katsu were not far off. The green salad looked so old. We could not even touch it. We threw everything away. What a shame. Another disappointment from triple Ds. Good job, Guy!

Google
I use to eat here weekly but moved away from the area and last week was excited to finally be in town and went there with my son. The place must be under new management because it was such a disappointment. The food was over cooked and my salad looked old as well as tasted bad and the meat was mostly grissel and tough to eat. My son said the same thing about his meal. Too bad, they use to serve amazing food.

Google
Excellent customer service, my online order was ready when I got there. Outside of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue - this is the only other restaurant where you can get Loco Moco. It was definitely tasty.

Google
Mahalo!! Aloha gives you a taste of the islands, while living in the desert. Better than ONO! Items that my family enjoyed, Mac salad ✅ Beef ✅ Coconut shrimp ✅✅

Google
The best Hawaiian food in Arizona! I always get garlic shrimp & katsu chicken! Always enjoy after a day of kayaking! Yummmmmm

Yelp
We've been here numerous times over the years, first time was right after Guy Fieri visited them. Our recent visit was good except that we were sad that they were out of a few items...we got there around 3:30pm on a Saturday. Also noticed that the surfboard sign had several items listed, as well as them being listed on the boards above the counter. I asked the difference and was told that prices had risen and the surfboard prices were the current ones. Ok...interesting but perhaps they hadn't had time to update the boards above? Anyway, we went ahead and ordered and chose to eat in (we typically do takeout). Here's what we got: Fried Won Ton: "Seasoned ground pork in egg noodle and fried, served with in-house sweet and sour sauce" per their menu description...these things are so good!!! Fried to a crispy perfection, there isn't a lot of filling but overall a good appetizer. Manapuas: We got two of them; pork buns, which were good but we found that one of them was full of sweet pork filling and the other had just a small dab so consistency was interesting. They were good although we've had these previously and felt like today something was off. We ate them! Hawaiian Plate: "Kalua pig with cabbage, *lomi salmon, and chicken long rice, with two scoops of rice" per menu description...the pork is soo good! Great seasoning with cabbage (wish there was more!), nice and tender. I didn't care for the salmon, first time I've tried it. It also had rice and a cup of pico, which I didn't use. Overall I would say "ok" to this dish and probably will choose something different next time. Wife wanted Kalbi, which we typically order because we love it! Today they were out, so she decided to go with their Mini Bulgogi "Thinly sliced, charbroiled boneless top sirloin marinated in Korean barbecue sauce" per their description. I've had this dish a few times and it's really good...meat is tender and the sauce has a good, sweet, thick teriyaki BBQ sauce. It comes with rice and cabbage. Because I love and highly recommend their macaroni salad, I also ordered a side dish. They add potato to their salad which you don't see often but it adds a great bite to their wonderful salad. Love it!!! Overall a good experience. The restaurant is clean and staff are pleasant.

Yelp
One of the best Hawaiian chickens I've had. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and very juicy. The Island wings and beef plate were also tasty and a generous amount. Great service by the staff and very accommodating. Manapua filling was a bit dry but dough was soft and fluffy.
google avatar

Yelp
Recently returned to try few more popular entrees, but sad to report quality wasn't there. The chicken was dry and cold (perhaps reheated leftover from the night before). Flavor was still good though. The salmon was really fresh and came out hot as well as the fresh side salad. It was a bit of a drive for us and we were looking forward to it, but probably not return anytime soon to see if today was an off day.

Yelp
Been coming here on and off for many years... it's consistent and I love the variety of foods that have been added to the menu. The plates are huge! The bulgogi and short ribs are good. We had the spam musubi that is filling, salty and overall very enjoyable. The servers bring the food to you after you order from the counter. It can get pretty busy but for the most part, very organized and clean.

Yelp
This little hole in the wall has been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Just because it's a hole in a wall doesn't mean it doesn't have its charm. There are some really nice murals on the wall of the ocean and palm trees, and lots of interesting little touches here and there. There is a cooler where you can buy Hawaiian sodas in a can. There are also photos of the owners with Guy Fieri . You order at the counter and they give you a number and deliver your food to your table. There are screens above the counter with the menu, but there are a couple of actual menu books that you can look through. There are so many choices on the menu. The prices are right, as well. This food comes on styrofoam plates, so you know it isn't fancy, but it sure is good! Tonight we had the bulgogi plate, which is served with two scoops of white rice and the best macaroni salad ever. We also had a bulgogi sandwich and fried wontons. Last, but not least, we had the laulau (pork wrapped in taro leaves), served with the lomi salmon (kind of like Hawaiian ceviche). We continue to come back to this place over and over. It's not fancy, but it's good food at a great price. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I visited Aloha Kitchen to have some spam musubi and it did not disappoint. This place is a strip mall eatery with a fun different menu. There's a big board explaining their selection. The counter help was friendly and the service is fast. I just grabbed some musubi and a pork bun and both were fantastic. The prices for all menu items are very reasonable. If I had more time in town I'd eat here often.

Yelp
Great Hawaiian spot serving up tasty food. I got the mixed plate #2 with chicken katsu and teriyaki beef. Both the meats were delicious. It came with a side of Mac salad and rice as well. I also got one of their spam musubi not my favorite. I thought it had a bit too much rice in it and overpowered the spam. I have been to Hawaii before so my standards for spam musubi are a bit too high. Star of the show is their sauces. Had a few of them and they were all tasty!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Food is full of flavor. Had the soup and omg it was just so good the broth was perfectly seasoned no additional salt was needed and it was so clean and clear no oil or anything. The dressing for their salad was so good I wanted to take some home.
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE! I'm obsessed with Hawaiian food and I did come in with high expectations. Aloha Kitchen did not disappoint. The meat with the Bulkogi plate was so tender and juicy, rice was cooked to perfection, even the salad was so yummy. I tried a spam masubi out of curiosity and it was delicious!! The Hawaiian soda's are really tasty as well. It looked like someone was having a birthday party inside, super cute. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
I was looking forward to this place after so many people recommended it. I came in and I saw nine people who ordered after me get their food before me. When I asked about my food they said it was on its way. When I finally got it, the plate was borderline tossed at me. I think the woman was extremely rude. The inside was also really cold, and it gets really loud when there's a lot of people in there. Very disappointed and wish I could get my money back for it.

Yelp
I recently ordered the #2 plate, which includes bulgogi meat and chicken katsu. The chicken katsu was delicious, crispy, and flavorful. However, the bulgogi meat was a bit chewy and quite salty, indicating it was marinated well but perhaps a bit too much for my taste. The plate comes with rice, a small portion of raw cabbage, a choice of mac salad or greens, and an orange slice. The mac salad stood out to me; it was a creamy blend of macaroni and potato salad, which was a delightful surprise. I do wish the plate included cooked cabbage instead of raw, but overall, everything was great. It was a hole-in-the-wall vibe, and Guy Fieri has even visited! Unfortunately, you can't order online because their website isn't functional, but you can easily call in to place your order.

Yelp
Fast service and great food! Ordered Mix Plate #2 Bulkogi and chicken katsu combination $15.49 Mix Plate #3 Chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken combination $14.95 Mix Plate #4 Teriyaki chicken and bulkogi combination Food was flavorful and fresh.

Yelp
Aloha kitchen is very good and food is amazingly fresh. The employees were very nice and talks to you about the menu if you never been there. I almost ordered a extra side of katsu chicken but she told me it would've been a lot of food. Good thing I didn't because they give great portions. Definitely will be back

K M.

Yelp
Chicken Katsu-disgusting looking and tasted disgusting as well. (Why is it gray? It's not seasoning, I checked) Mac Salad- flavorless. Spam Musubi-still made without the glaze. Lacks flavor. They offer a side of "teriyaki sauce", as if that will make it taste better. The owner is more about making money off of fake Hawaiian food. They need actual Hawaiians or locals from hawai'i to come and cook the food. The way they are teaching their "cooks" to make the food isn't working. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. Don't waste your money here. I lost my appetite for the rest of the day after trying to eat here again.

Yelp
We popped in for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon as we were out running errands. The place was nice and clean and not too busy. We were warmly greeted as we walked in and we placed our order and waited a short time for our food. We ordered a mini bulgogi and a soft drink to share. For the price, it was quite a lot of food, enough for the two of us. I'm not sure if it's because I just returned from a trip to Hawaii where we ate a lot of incredible local food so my expectations may have been a little higher but to me, our meal was just average. Good but not great. With that said we are going to go back some other time to try the loco moco and see if we have better luck with that.
google avatar

Aalyssa M.

Yelp
The food was great! My boyfriend and I both got platters. The chicken was flavorful, and juicy. Fast, and kind services as well. Menu was easy to choose from, portion size was great for the price, and the restaurant is comfortable and cozy.

Yelp
We have been here a few times, but I never reviewed it for some reason. First thing that sets it apart is Guy Fieri at here, so that is a huge plus. I'll give you fair warning this place isn't about atmosphere at all. It's pretty basic inside. Very clean, but basic. Super friendly service. And a great variety on the menu. I ordered the mix plate number 3 which was the teriyaki chicken and Katsu chicken with rice and the macaroni potato salad combo. And my wife ordered the teriyaki chicken with rice in the mixed greens salad. The chicken is not chicken breast which is usually a deal buster for me but I will have to say that the way they prepare their food I do not mind it at all. It is delicious. I would say that they probably need to put just a little bit more teriyaki sauce and a little bit more of the katsu barbecue sauce on the chicken. That's probably the main reason why I did not give them a five-star rating. I thought the meal was very affordable we did not get drinks but everything came out to just a little over $32 with an appetizer. I highly recommend going to this restaurant.

Yelp
So I found this spot on Yelp, went with very low expectations and they blew me out of the water. There's not one thing I had that was not delicious. Do yourself a favor and get that fried shrimp. Also had a fish sandwich and it was delicious. It's located in a very unassuming strip mall but it was the perfect way to end my day in the Gilbert area. Best Hawaiian food in the area.

Yelp
Fabulous food, consistent and delicious My family has been going to aloha kitchen. Since they opened and will continue

Yelp
Dropped in to give the restaurant a 2nd try, Ordered the laulau plate, it didn't come with mac salad so did a side order of it. Service was good. The food was ok overall. The highlight was the laulau, moist tasty & a good portion. The rice was ok, the chicken long rice had no flavor & unsure why the noodles were so thin. Lomi lomi was ok. The Mac potato salad was unusual- color was different and never had Mac salad with carrots. And there were flies inside the restaurant flying around us & the plates of food. It didn't make for a good eating environment.

Yelp
This place is super awesome and a little whole in the wall place with so much flavor , creativity, and atmosphere. Such good flavor in every bite from beginning to end . The staff very friendly and helpful . Can't wait to come back !!!

Yelp
Aloha Kitchen is a long time love of mine. It's hard to find good Hawaiian food in the valley and this is one of the few places that is consistently good. The service is friendly and the price is good for the amount of food you get.
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
This is a good Hawaiian takeout or sit-down restaurant. Theres a large selection of Hawaiian food but sadly Kalua Pork is only available on Wednesdays. I had the spam loco moco and spam musubi. Both were really good but the gravy on the loco moco tasted more like gravy from a Salisbury steak than gravy I'm used to in Hawaii. It definitely wasn't bad. It was very good, just maybe a little less authentic than I hoped for. Prices are reasonable and portions were big. I'll be back.
google avatar

Jayna S.

Yelp
Born and raised in Hawaii. Food is amazing feels like home. We got the Manapua, katsu and guava cake. Brought back nostalgic memories thank you so much
google avatar

Dede S.

Yelp
We tried 4 things from the menu, wontons, bulgogi beef, chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. Ranking Wontons Teriyaki chicken Katsu chicken Bulgogi beef Huge servings, if you're in to that. None of those things seemed like Hawaii.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by here for lunch and it was so yummy! Some of the best Hawaiian food I've ever had. The service was great and although the restaurant is basic and food is served on paper plates, the food more than makes up for it! I got the Saturday special with the kalua pork, chicken long rice, Lomi salmon, Lau Lau pork, and rice. The Lau Lau pork was life changing oh my goodness!! It was SO tasty. This is now my favorite Hawaiian place I've eaten in the valley. I will 100% be back. And food was super affordable too!
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
The service here was quick and very friendly, and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time, which we appreciated. The food itself was just okay--nothing bad, but we've been to other Hawaiian spots that we personally enjoyed more. The portion sizes were good, and the mac salad was more on the savory side compared to others we've had before, which was interesting. The overall atmosphere was small with a fast-food-style vibe. Overall, it was just okay for me.
google avatar

Carissa N.

Yelp
Finally found a really good Hawaiian spot! We have tried a few in the past and they just don't quite cut it as far as taste and quality. Aloha kitchen was delicious and plentiful with their portions. We have been there twice now, I've had the combo with chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki, which both are really good. The chicken katsu is lightly breaded, with a simple katsu sauce on the side. The teriyaki was the star of the show, love the smoked flavor from the grill and the teriyaki sauce is sweet and salty, but not overpowering. The Mac salad is tasty and I love the pieces of potato in it, honestly wish they gave you more. We tried the fried wontons, which were simple and the filling was flavorful, but overall nothing that special to speak about. And we lastly we tried the fried saimin, I saw it was popular in other reviews but it just wasn't hitting the mark for me. The noodles had some kind of aftertaste to them, not sure what it was. The pork reminded me of the Chinese pork back home on the east coast, so that was a nice touch. If you get a chance, add the JR sauce on the side. It's a teriyaki sauce with a little kick, it was delicious. See ya soon guys!

Patricia S.

Yelp
So good. Food, service all amazing. Lot of food for the price and the spam was oh so good
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
I'm a favorite of the triple D Guy Fieri show. This restaurant was featured on one of his shows and it did not disappoint. I had the combination of Bulgari and teriyaki chicken. This dish was quite flavorful and some of the most tender chicken I've ever eaten. I also got to try the Kalbi, (short ribs), which proved to be very tender and quite flavorful. The staff was very polite and quite helpful in choosing our menu. A great find and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
google avatar

Kort K.

Yelp
Best teriyaki chicken I've ever eaten as was the mac salad. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 25 years. Come early Wednesday or Saturday for the Hawaiian Plate -LauLau, lomi lomi salmon and chicken long rice plate. It's a little taste of home. I should have added a Mac salad, next time. Tip: order a cold Manapua take home and freeze it. Makes for a fast snack on the go. Unwrap the plastic, wrap in wet paper towel, microwave 50% power 1.5 minutes, then full power 1 minute. May take longer or shorter depending on your wattage
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
We are already planning on coming back. Everything was spectacular. The spam musubi (not pictured :-)) was so good! The garlic shrimp and teriyaki chicken plate was awesome. The food tasted fresh and the chicken and shrimp high quality. The portion was generous and we will have leftovers. The saimin was also amazing! The broth was yummy and my favorite part. As we were leaving, they offered us more spam musubi to take home. Amazing service.

Yelp
Best 808 food this side of the Mississippi! Cozy and spacious dining room. Great service. Awesome lunch special prices. Fat bastard, high LDL, HBP stamp of approval.

Yelp
Aloha Kitchen is my favorite Hawaiian spot. The food is so flavorful and delicious! They have many great options. This place is top tier!

Yelp
I come here every now and then and food was ok but not today. The chicken teriyaki that was served was hard and taste old. It seems like debris of chicken. I seldom complain but I told the counter that the food was hard and not good. No sorry nor offer to correct my complain, all I got was just a stare.

Taylor W.

Yelp
Food is delicious and worth the wait! Service is good, we usually do takeout. Lowkey chill spot.

Yelp
Well, after a 13 year hiatus, I decided to go have lunch here again. In those many years a long time ago, I used to frequent this place a lot, basically because my late wife and daughter liked its style of food -- Hawaiian style of "plate lunch" specials (we were all expat kamaaina's). But I stopped going here since my wife passed away and I did not like the sloppy service that the young kids that Ray employed there provided; they were always more interested in farting around than paying attention to detail and the customers. My main reason for going back again was because I wanted to eat lau-lau, a Hawaiian specialty that I had not had in more than five years. So since Aloha Kitchen is the only place in the valley where you can find lau-lau, I decided to go there and have lunch. My current wife ordered the Chinese chicken salad and she loved it. It was very large and flavorful. I tasted it and it was pretty darn good. I ordered the Hawaiian combo plate -- two scoops of rice, lau-lau, kalua pig, chicken long rice, and lomi salmon. I enjoyed my meal! The lau-lau was big and flavorful, especially since they added small chunk of pork fat into the filling. The chicken long rice was good but would have been better if they added some chopped green onions as a garnish (good thing my wife's Chinese chicken salad came with copious amounts of chopped green onions and she took some off her salad and put them on my chicken long rice). The lomi salmon was good, albeit in a small cup and with very little salt salmon in the dish (due to salted salmon's high expense, the size of this dish is understandable). My only complaint was that the kalua pig, although a nice sized serving, was under salted and did not have enough "smoke" in taste. It certainly could have used a lot more liquid smoke in its preparation. But all-in-all, a pretty good combo Hawaiian meal that I would order again. I accomplished my mission of eating lau-lau and that was very good. We would both go back again for another meal, ordering the same stuff as we just ate!! The only thing that would have made this meal better for me is if they had poi and poke too! Oh yeah, and the service I got from the young kids working there was good. Although my interface with them was brief, at least this time they were paying attention and were courteous and polite!

Yelp
Excuse me, I need that tartar sauce recipe. I don't need it to eat on fish, I could eat that on anything. Smear some on a shoe and I'd eat it. Please, give me that recipe

Yelp
Epic. Awesome quality and selection, delicious musubi and great prices. Worth stopping in.

Yelp
Aloha Kitchen I remember the days years ago when I used to spend my summer college days in Hawaii on Oahu on Sandy Beach, body surfing, boogie boarding and surfing. For lunch, we would get a rice plate from the food truck almost daily. Aloha Kitchen does the same authentic thing to recreate that memory. #2 Combo Bulgogi, Katsu with Macaroni Salad, Rice and Pineapple is perfect and yummy, love it, if you go with another person, have them get the Kalbi so you can share or just get the combo. Kalbi Short Rib Plate with Macaroni Salad, Rice and Pineapple is also a winner and a toss up which is my favorite between Kalbi, Bulgogi and Katsu. I live about 40 miles from here, but worth the drive. I look at it this way, it is closer than going to Sandy Beach in Oahu. Shaka
google avatar

Ian K.

Yelp
Place is still great. Look at the size of the salmon in the salmon plate (see photo). Combination #2 also one of our favorites. Legit Mac salad.
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
Best Hawaiian food I've tried so far in Phoenix! Got the combo plate with teriyaki chicken and bulkogi and both were really good! The Mac salad was the perfect tradition version you'd want on the side. Definitely want to come back to try more items on the menu.
google avatar

Angie G.

Yelp
Ive tried this place a few times and it is good food it is just not very flavorful compared to other Hawaiian sports I've tried. I will say it's fairly priced, portions are large, and they have a good selection of condiments. Their steamed buns are delicious. Service is very friendly, food takes a little while but tastes fresh. The restaurant is clean and has a family business vibe. I will say the buns are worth going out of your way for.
google avatar

Michael O.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect, as it was our first time. The food was excellent. We had the Chinese chopped salad and I had the Spam wrapped in rice and seaweed. Delicious.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
You did me wrong Guy. This is the second place in the Valley that I bookmarked after the show and again it's a miss. Maybe it would have been better if the kid at the register could have suggested something, but he had a blank stare on his face. Also dont bother turning the tablet around if all you did was just take my order: a kiosk could have done that! Food: We had to sandwiches, which may have also influenced the opinion. Maybe a bulgogi or katsu plate would have been a better option. The burger buns that are used are flimsy and the sauce drenches the lower bun, causing it to fall apart immediately. So now you are grabbing a fork and knife to make it work. Service: Again, took our order and dropped off plats 25 min after placing an order. Definitely not what we expected when we ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. I asked for fries to be well done, they weren't. I was asked how I want my burger, I said med-well, got it well. Overall the burger was massive and decent, but for $15 (w/fries) I could get a better tasting combo at 5-Guys. There are a few other dining spots in the small strip mall and we were lucky to find the only open spot.
google avatar

Danni N.

Yelp
I don't know if the chef was having a bad day but the katsu was over fried and too dark not a good taste. The Mac was not good as well not sure why but it tasted like cake batter. The texture of the rice wasn't there either. Huge miss. Definitely upset I drove 25 mins for this.

Nadeen

Yelp
The food isn't the same. It's not ono. The laulau was too salty and dry. The guava cake didn't have guava taste

Yelp
We absolutely love Aloha Kitchen! The food is delicious and reminds us of authentic food in Hawaii! Manapua is so hard to find on the mainland and theirs is so good!! (Although I prefer shredded meat but that's just my preference, it's still good) my kids love their spam musubi. The service is also great! Everyone that has helped us has been so kind and quick with our orders. It's worth a 45 min drive for us!!
