We came here maybe 4 or 5 times while in Hawaii. The soufflé pancakes are amazing! My husband and I got the fruit option and the coconut. I loved the fruit (has pineapple, melons, strawberries). Their loco moco is really good too! I usually get the gravy on the side. For iced coffee, I’d definitely recommend the vanilla iced latte. My husband loves their fresh orange juice. Some reviews have said that the staff are rude. However, I disagree. They are friendly if you are friendly back. “If you give aloha, you will get aloha back”. The wait can be a bit long, but in my opinion it is worth it. Although I do not recommend this place for big groups. It’s a smaller space and they don’t have many big tables available.

Google
The food here is so delicious! The souffle pancakes were huge and the best souffle pancakes I've ever tasted. It is the same size as your plate and could definitely be shared between 2 people. The coffee here was surprisingly good as well. It can get really busy here though especially since the restaurant is small. You'll want to get here early if coming on the weekend or just order takeout.

Google
Great souffle pancakes! Everything else was fantastic too, but my son was absolutely ecstatic about his souffle pancake. I had the pulled pork benedict and my husband had the bacon cheese burger. We are just moving back from Japan to the States and this place reminded us of many Japanese style restaurants. This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in Honolulu. The food was great and service impeccable. Food was out very quickly and they checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything and to make sure our food was good. A good note: The staff also speaks Japanese.

Google
Was good but probably won’t come back. Wait was about 30 min at 830am. The soluffe pancakes was good and hefty size. Wallace’s and French toast was just average. All fresh fruit used. They have mimosas with guava, pineapple or classic orange juice.

Google
We got there 30 mins before opening and there was already 17 parties ahead of us. After opening we waited about 30 mins so it wasn’t bad.I started off with the kaula loco which wasn’t bad but it was super greasy. Personally wish they would’ve drained some. Still a delicious dish combined with the gravy and the egg yolk. Got a side of the coco macnut and I was thinking that their soufflé pancakes would be like the ones I had in Japan but they were a lot more eggy. Not like I’ve ever tired but in a good way. On a side note the fried rice was delicious.

Google
Wait time is probably average for food on the island (about 25-45mins). Looks like the majority of people order the Soufflé Pancakes, but we got the Homemade Kalua Benedict. It was crazy flavorful with a perfectly cooked egg! Cooked potatoes were a little crispy and didn’t eat the salad. Would order again. Will update after trying the pancakes.

Run don’t walk to Aloha Kitchen! The staff is friendly and lively and they welcome you in like you are family. Their food is delicious especially the beef loco moco and the souffle coco macnut pancake!! They had a wide variety to juices to choose from and some delicious Kona coffee. We got here a minute after they opened at 7:01 and there was a line so get here quick and get here early to enjoy an unforgettable breakfast!

Google
The food here was amazing and worth the wait. There is almost always a line, so go as early as you can. The pork loco moco was amazing. Pancakes and waffles were also delicious! This is a more expensive breakfast place, so be prepared for tourist prices. The servings are large portions, so we were all able to try different mebu items with each other. Definitely a go to place to try at least once.

Yelp
Tasty casual breakfast/brunch spot conveniently located right next to the Hilton Grand! I go here everytime I visit the island and it has been consistently great. I suggest trying to get there early or during off hours as there is always a line out the door, especially if your party is bigger than 2 people. (You can expect ~30 min wait time during peak for a party of two) Food: 5/5 We ordered the souffle pancakes and loco moco. Souffle pancakes were so unique, airy, and a big portion! Loco moco was so flavorful and the meat was tender. Id order both again. Service: 5/5 The waiters are very charismatic and upbeat, which help sets the tone for the day. They do a good job managing the tables inside while giving updates to everyone waiting outside. Ambiance: 4/5 Small restaurant with limited seating so it's pretty crammed and can get a little loud. Not a big deal to me but wanted to call it out for anyone visiting.

Yelp
I think I finally know what clouds taste like...these souffle pancakes! I ordered the one that had strawberries, bananas, Nutella and chocolate. A big dollop of whipped creamed and crushed macadamia nuts stood nestled at the top. The pancake, and you really shouldn't call it that, took up the WHOLE plate. The souffle is so darn fluffy, and it keeps its shape even with all the amazing toppings and when you cut into it. This entire souffle was so darn delicious!!!! My husband got the eggs Benedict. I don't know what the chickens eat in Oahu, but the eggs are enormous and beautiful. The restaurant is tiny, but we got there early and walked right in, but it was already getting busy when we left. The tables change pretty quickly, so don't be discouraged by the line. TOTALLY worth it!

Yelp
Love the soufflé here, I tried the flavor of the month banana blueberry cream brûlée it was yummy!! The Kalua loco moco was yummy too. The eggs Benedict would have been better if the bread was not so hard to cut. Love getting a side of bacon with the soufflé. See my photos, David is our favorite server but they are all nice her

Yelp
If there is one thing to get here, it's the macadamia coconut soufflé pancakes. The texture is so light and fluffy. It's sweet without being too sweet. There is a paper waitlist so get there early because it does get busy pretty fast. The staff welcomes you when you are seated. They were pretty consistent with checking in on us. Can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
This stop was our first breakfast location upon landing in Hawaii. The walk was very nice especially since our hotel was near the ocean. The location was very easy to find. We walked upon this building with a large group in front. The building is small but those are always great signs of a great breakfast. You sign your name on the clipboard and wait for a very unique call system. We waiting for ~30 minutes at 9am on a Sunday. When you enter, you realize it is a small location but they are consistently turning out food so the wait shouldn't be long I ordered the lobster Benedict and POG juice. Both are delicious and very filling! Service was friendly and it felt very family friendly location Overall, I would be back here in the future.

Yelp
Aloha Kitchen never disappoints! Their customer service is top-notch--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The breakfast options are simply delicious and reasonably priced. I've tried several dishes over time, but my go-to favorites are the simple bacon, eggs, and rice, the soufflé mac nut pancake, and the loco moco. Speaking of the loco moco--it's amazing! The savory gravy is flavorful and perfectly complements the dish. Every bite is satisfying. The soufflé pancakes are light, fluffy, and the macadamia nut topping adds a great touch. The only downside is the wait time, which can be a bit long. But honestly, it's worth it for the quality of the food and the overall experience. I've been coming here for a while and plan to keep coming back. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a fantastic breakfast! 5/5 Stars!

Yelp
We came here after reading the great reviews. The man working the waitlist and tending to tables was incredibly friendly and definitely kept the vibes strong there. We waited for probably about 30 minutes, which we expected and was no biggie. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and I ordered the soufflé of the month, which was a strawberry soufflé. I didn't quite expect the soufflé to have as much sauce as it did, and I was a little disappointed about that. I should've asked more questions though as it wasn't on the menu, so that's on me. My husband enjoyed the eggs Benedict. We both left full and satisfied. Was not our favorite place in town, but it was enjoyable and worth the visit for sure!

Yelp
A charming LITTLE place. Get there early, if you can. There's always a line out the door. My husband and I shared the classic breakfast and a soufflé pancake. This was too much food, but it was all amazing. They don't have fountain soda, so if you want a refill you have to buy another can (no big deal). I also got a "kid's water" to go, since we walked a mile to get there it was hot. The staff were quick and friendly. Great place for tourists and locals alike.
google avatar

Steph M.

Yelp
The service was so swift and smooth, although I did feel a little rushed towards the end of my breakfast. However, it makes sense as there was already a huge line before they opened! We arrived about 15min before they opened and there were already people waiting in front of us. They keep a sign up sheet outside. The soufle pancakes are what they're known for and they're light and fluffy!
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Aloha Kitchen was highly rated and within walking distance from our hotel. We arrived and a crowd of people outside, we put our name down on their list and waited til we were called. It is very small inside but they move quick! The food was fresh and delicious. Plenty of staff come around to make sure everything is okay and to refill coffee.

Yelp
We've been trying to have breakfast at aloha kitchen but every time we drive by there was always a line...finally after our 3 rd time to the island, we got up early and made our short drive there.. we only waited about 7 mins and in we go. Of course we Had to order the famous macadamia soufflé pancake with coconut syrup... wow!! That was an experience,, so soft and fluffy!! Delicious airy cloud of goodness. We also ordered the local loco loco and that too was very flavorful!!! Definitely be back again !
google avatar

Yelp
I came here specifically to try the soufflé pancakes. They had several different flavor toppings you could choose for it. I decided on the fruit soufflé. This was my first time trying this style pancake and I think I just didn't know what I was getting myself into. It tasted so eggy and felt like I was just eating foam egg. I even tried putting syrup on it but just couldn't get past the egg flavor. It was good, and maybe I'd try another one to see if that's the normal? But it definitely wasn't my favorite style of pancake. Also the line to get in was very long. There is a sign up sheet outside the front door where you can add your name and party size and be seated as available. I got there pretty early to open hoping the wait wouldn't be too long. As a party of 1 it still took about 15-20 minutes to get inside. However, the food came out quick and I was also out pretty quickly! Also maybe some questionable electronics.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday morning with my boyfriend. Wait time was 15-20 minutes for a party of two. We sat down rather quickly. Food was delicious. A lot of the tables ordered the Japanese soufflé which we didn't get a chance to try since we were both stuff. Definitely will be back whenever visiting Hawai'i.

Yelp
I understand the hype, and it's definitely worth a try if you're adventurous for a different type of pancake. -Kalua pork eggs Benedict (5/5), my favorite Benedict in Waikiki. The pork was so tender and not dry. I love love loved this dish - Coconut Mac Soufflé pancake (3/5) - I wanted to love this one, but the texture just wasn't for me. The first few bites were fun, but getting to the center of the pancake felt undercooked and gooey. The coconut macadamia syrup was a touch too sweet for me. We waited about half an hour on a weekday morning. There's a ton of people standing outside, but the line does move quickly. Service is super friendly! I'd come back for the benedi

Yelp
Great soufflé pancakes and loco moco. Worth the short wait in line for the fast table service. Charming local atmosphere.
google avatar

Janelle N.

Yelp
There is quite a wait so be sure to go early. You will write your name down and they will call the names out so you can't walk around. The line does move fast if you have a smaller party. The benedict was flavorful and the potatoes were crispy. I was looking forward to trying the soufflé but it was rather underwhelming. The batter in the middle was still wet so, not fully cooked. The place is small and very few tables hence the wait.
google avatar

Carmela H.

Yelp
Fast service but its small so depending when you go it can be a long wait. Recommend early morning when they open. Service was quick and friendly.
google avatar

Connie L.

Yelp
Great food and great service. It is a small spot so the wait is longer. We came on a Friday morning 8am, waited about 20 mins. Walk up to the clipboard to put your name. The servers were so welcoming. Ordered the coconut macadamia nut soufflé and wagyu loco moco. Coconut soufflé was a 7.5/10, it looks delicious and it was good but I would have preferred regular pancakes with that sauce. The soufflé was airy and light, the sauce wasn't too sweet. Wagyu loco moco is a 9/10, it was really good. The sauce was very delicious. Not too salty and it paired great with the meat, egg and rice. This was filling. I really enjoyed that dish.

Yelp
We found this little place looking for a cute family owned breakfast and THIS IS THE PLACE. We came a total of three time during our stay and everything about this place is phenomenal. It's quite small and the large gathering outside might intimidate you for the wait but the staff hussles. Tables are flipped quickly, food is FAST, and they get people in and out. Even with a full waitlist, we only ever waited 20 minutes except when there was three parties of 8 in front of us. While they can accommodate large parties I did find it rude as the inside is small and they are trying to get people in. I suggest larger parties split up tables to help the wonderful staff. Everyone was beyond friendly and I love the authentic family owned vibes. All of our waitresses, hostess, and staff were amazing. I consistently got the loco moco, which was my favorite one I tried on the island. My eggs were always PERFECTLY over medium. The meat is tender and flavorful and the rice is fluffy. Their rendition of gravy is thicker and darker more like a Salisbury steak, but I loved their in house gravy. I also always ordered a side of bacon. It was more on the crispy side for me but the portion was great! My husband had both the waffle and the soufflé, both were phenomenal. They are famous for their soufflé and I recommend all of them, they're all so fluffy and good, they top them with homemade sauces and fresh fruit, all so so good. The waffle was also delicious! My husband really enjoyed the Portuguese sausage as well. The portions were good, the food was AMAZING, and the prices were really good. Can't wait to come back!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has great flavors and nice portions! The eggs Benedict with pork and loco moco were both great breakfast options here. We were also impressed with how fast everything moved and how friendly the service was! Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Popular spot for brunch located off the of the main Waikiki strip (still walkable though)! They are know for their souffle pancakes. I recommend ordering one for the table to share as they are decadent but delicious! My group shared the cococunt mac nut souffle pancake and it was amazing! Great texture and the flavors came through. For my main I ordered a loco moco which always hits the spot. Service was an A+ as well! Expect to wait for a table but the line moves pretty quickly so don't be discouraged!
google avatar

Laurel M.

Yelp
Came here for the souffle pancakes, and super happy we did! Wait was short, service and atmosphere was great, food was delicious.
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Love this brunch spot! About a 40 minute wait on a Sunday morning, a little away from the main Waikiki strip. I got the loco moco and got the coco macnut soufflé pancakes to share for the table and both were delicious! Service was very friendly, seems like most staff speak Japanese too!
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
The soufflé had a nice texture and went well with the fruits. The eggs benedict with salmon was pretty good but would probably try a different one next time. The potatoes were cooked well. This place gets super busy so I recommend getting there early.
google avatar

Amber H.

Yelp
This was my second trip to Hawaii. We were looking for something new to try. I wish we had gone here on the first trip. We came twice this trip and look forever to coming again. This soufflé waffle was so good. Absolutely delicious. Spam and eggs, top notch. Service was wonderful.
google avatar

Yelp
The best breakfast spot near. The Hilton Waikiki hotel! On Ena Road! So frickn good! The giggly soufflé was out of this world it was the star of our meal! We even shared with the best table! Not to sweet and just right. Don't let the line deter you from going like it did for me. I'm so happy I finally went.
google avatar

Yelp
Another great breakfast this morning. Not too crowded I was lucky. See picture. Eaten here since 2014-15
google avatar

Yelp
staff friendly and food amazing, fruit soufflé is incredible. people and ambiance great

Thomas M.

Yelp
Small place where there's always a line. Sign up outside the front door and prepare to enjoy. Friendly people, greet each guest as they enter. Portions are huge and very delicious. You better show up hungry or hour taking some home. Ridiculously fantastic breakfast, I will return and be happy to wait.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a very popular breakfast place near Waikiki. We came at 9:30 on a Saturday and there was already a lot of people waiting. We put our names on the list and waited around 40 minutes or more to get in. It was so crowded that we asked to just get togo/takeout instead at some point, and they abruptly said no. Looks like they stopped doing that which is fine. It's just the way they answered that didn't seem very friendly. Customer service inside the restaurant was good. * Coco Macnut Souffle 4.5/5 - The souffle was soft and fluffy. It was delicious combined with the sweetness of the coconut sauce and macadamia nuts. It did get a bit overwhelming to finish for one person, so it's a nice item to share. * Lobster Egg Benedict 4.5/5 - This came with 2 egg benefits, breakfast potatoes, and salad. The lobster was so tasty and the egg benedict was decadent and oozing of goodness. Their breakfast potatoes were also very addicting. Only part I didn't like was the English muffin/bread. * Guava drink 4/5 - Pretty good guava drink, a bit diluted.
google avatar

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Amazing food, better prices than in your resort. Get there early and join the sign up list. It draws a crowd. Their soufflé pancakes are to die for!!!
google avatar

Madison M.

Yelp
My sister and I came here on a Wednesday morning at 7:30am, just shortly after they opened. They sat us fairly quickly and our food also came out really fast. We shared the Mac nut soufflé pancake and the meat lovers omelette. The soufflé pancake was amazing to me! I wish I had more of the sauce, but that's just me being greedy. It was so light and fluffy the way it should be. The meat lovers omelette could've done without the bacon and instead extra Portuguese sausage. The bacon was just a little too chewy in my opinion. The potatoes were standard as was the toast (nothing to write home about).
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
Love this place for breakfast! There's usually a wait there but we got lucky being a party of 2 and got seated right away since others were in bigger parties. Their food is amazing here! Love their soufflé pancakes! I got their very berry soufflé pancakes which comes with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and whipped cream and scoop of vanilla ice cream. The hubby got smoked eggs Benedict which was delicious. Service was also great too.
google avatar

Jayjay S.

Yelp
The food is delish and fresh! Soooo good!! The dining area is small so be sure to get there early. Don't forget to add your name to the list so you can get a table. We didn't realize there was a list until 5 minutes into waiting. Service is good and quick too. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the pancake soufflé was soft and yummy! This was our last stop before leaving Hawaii. Wish we had found this spot earlier in our vacation.
google avatar

Janet C.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I live a block away from this much in demand restaurant. We went this morning and expected to wait an hour in line, we got in quicker, time passed very quickly thanks to Dave. He did a great job making the wait enjoyable , used a lot of humor. We were fortunate to also have him as our waiter. Great service while juggling being the greeter. The food is worth the wait. It comes quickly and is delicious. If you are in the neighborhood give it a shot.

Yelp
When in Hawaii, one must do what all the tourists do!! Maybe. This place is legendary for its soufflé pancakes! I mean legendary!!! I've never had a soufflé pancake before, I've had soufflé more times than I can remember...but this was the best damn soufflé pancake I've ever had! Airy and puffy..I ate the whole thing within seconds. Ok...more like few minutes. I wanna go back just for this! Btw, don't get discouraged when you see a line out the door. There's a good reason behind it and it moves fast!

Yelp
Folks - please don't fall for the long line of patrons who are scrambling to put down their names and the number of their party at this joint. Aloha Kitchen offers both breakfast and lunch options, but they are a first-come, first-serve basis; due to this, you'll see a formation of a line at least half an hour before their opening. With this hype, we got sucked in to try them out, even though the locals told us to stay away... of course, we didn't listen and wanted to check this place out ourselves. We ordered: +the Loco Moco - there are 3 versions, with a beef patty, with a wagyu beef patty, or with shredded pork; we went for the Wagyu loco, which came with 2 eggs, white rice, and a homemade gravy sauce +their Coco macnut souffle - the house's signature fluffy pancake, served with whip cream +their Apple alamode souffle - the house's signature fluffy pancake, with caramelized apples, cinnamon, and ice cream +an 'Ono' meal set - comes with 2 eggs, Portuguese sausage (breakfast meat options also include bacon, turkey bacon, ham, link sausage, or Spam), breakfast potato and fried rice (there is also wheat toast, white rice, and salad as an option) All the items we had ordered were super underwhelming and almost inedible - the Loco Moco was super dry, and the gravy didn't help, as it was flavorless; the eggs were not cooked the way that we had requested, and the white rice was not cooked properly (not sure how this is possible). The souffle were not 'fluffy' but runny and were definitely raw inside. Service was inattentive and dismissive. Not sure how this place is the preferred breakfast spot compared to other spots in the area... No dice, Aloha Kitchen. +undercooked souffles +dried out patties +flavorless items +inattentive service

Yelp
amazing service. waiter even had a little light for our pics haha. ube souffle pancakes were ok 6/10 but the coconut macadamia nut souffle pancakes were amazing i ate the whole thing 10/10 kalua pork benedict was pretty good but not the best thing i ever had, had higher hopes for it 7.5/10 would try if ur in the waikiki area and love fluffy japanese style pancakes make sure to get there earlier i had waited 1 hour as theres no reservations just put ur name down when you get there but theres some seats which is nice and they call your name real loud so u wont miss it!

Yelp
We stopped by for breakfast on 6/29 and had to wait almost an hour, since we left late. It's definitely a popular place, so get here early if you plan to drop by! My cousin and I shared the loco moco and apple alamode souffle. I've never had loco moco in Hawaii before so I had to try it out and it did not disappoint. I do think the meat was a little burnt but you couldn't taste it (maybe the sauce covered it all!). The souffle - holy crap it was huge! We did not expect it to be the entire plate. It was a good choice nonetheless because it was delicious! The souffle is on the eggier side, so depending on your preference it may be too much but it wasn't for us. The only thing I would say is there were only a few apple slices and the ice cream scoop was pretty small compared to the souffle (and two whipped cream dollops). But we left with full bellies and our cravings satisfied so overall, it was a great meal! Our server was attentive and also had a good sense of humor that made the experience that much more enjoyable. The restaurant is very homey and they even sell their own merch. Glad we endured the wait!

Yelp
My youngest daughter was craving souffle pancakes so we drove to Aloha Kitchen. They open at 7:30am and we got there few min before 8am. There were 5 names ahead of us on the wait list. The wait wasn't too long...people were still adding their names to the list. My daughter ordered the very berry souffle pancakes with everything in the side. It comes with vanilla ice cream on top and generous portion of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries along with berries and strawberry sauce. I ordered the wagyu loco moco - the gravy is really good and my husband order we the traditional breakfast. Their Portuguese sausage is soooooo good. Get there early or you will have to wait and if driving, meter parking but gets full quick. It's a small place but the food is ono. It's worth the wait but be smart and get there before 8am....esp on the weekend.
google avatar

Marvin-Marie G.

Yelp
Aloha kitchen is a small restaurant with a lot of popularity. We showed up at 8:10am and it was already very busy. We were a big group of 11 and they sat us down after 35 minutes. Every employee was polite and respectful and quick with our orders. The food was delicious and their soufflé pancakes were good. The pancakes is what they're popular for, but I personally think they were good enough to try once. They have better things on their menu. Try their loco moco and Ono meal set!
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to get souffle pancakes in the state but be advised, they don't take reservations. They also close at 1 PM so make sure you get there with enough time to wait before their signature dish sells out, which is what happened to us last weekend. We always order the souffle pancakes as a dessert after we've had a savory breakfast. The servers are all really friendly and ours was especially apologetic when he said all the souffle pancakes were sold out and brought a coffee to go as consolation. We ended up getting the waffles which was yummy but missing the crisp factor. For our savory breakfast, my mom and I got the lobster and smoked salmon benedict's, and my dad got the omelette. The food overall was tasty, we were just bummed that the souffle pancakes had sold out.

Yelp
Mixed Feelings Aloha Kitchen is a popular spot in Oahu known for its creative breakfast and brunch options, but my experience left me with mixed feelings. I tried the Eggs Benedict with Kalua Pork, which sounded incredible on paper. While the pork was tender and flavorful, the overall dish didn't quite hit the mark--it felt a bit underwhelming compared to my expectations. Similarly, the Coconut Macadamia Nut Soufflé Pancakes, which are one of their signature items, were decent but didn't stand out as much as I hoped. They were fluffy and beautifully presented, but the flavors didn't wow me, especially for the price. Speaking of price, Aloha Kitchen is on the expensive side, and for the quality of the food, it didn't feel entirely justified. That said, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the experience much more enjoyable. It's clear they care about providing a welcoming atmosphere, which I really appreciated. While the food didn't completely live up to the hype, the great service might be enough to bring me back to try other menu items. If you're curious about the soufflé pancakes or other dishes, it's worth a visit--but be prepared for the prices and manage your expectations.

Yelp
The Aloha Kitchen is a small cafe walking distance from the Hilton Waikiki area. Get there early or you will have to wait quite a while. The food and coffee are good. It is a local chill unpretentious and welcoming place with good food.

Yelp
Nice place 20 minutes waitlist a Sunday 8 am Service is extra nice at the entrance Food is good

Yelp
I visited Aloha kitchen 4 months ago and I still dream about the pancakes! In fact it's been a year since I started this review and I STILL dream about the food! As amazing as the food was the service was even better! Being at Aloha kitchen really feels so welcoming as if you are in someone's kitchen. The ambience is cozy and casual. What they may not have in fancy decor they make up for with their delicious food! The soufflé pancakes are a must! Choose your flavor and enjoy! This place is a MUST eat place!!!

Yelp
The wait here builds up quick but moved pretty fast. We were only waiting for about 30 mins when there was a whole other page of people in front of us. Servers are friendly enough. Seemed kind of short with us at moments. Restaurant has that classic cozy breakfast place feel. Eggs Benedict was yummy. But the soufflé pancakes were the star of the show!! My fave was the banana coconut mac pancakes!!

Yelp
The lines are long at Aloha Kitchen for good reason. We lined up before opening to ensure we got seated during the first seating. Props to the restaurant staff for being so organized with their seating. You can tell they try hard to control the flow of the kitchen, even if it makes getting a table harder to come by. The best dish of the day was the kahlua pork benedict. This was hands-down the best Kahlua pork we've ever tried! It was tender, smoky, and so flavorful and completely transformed the dish. They also had a few varieties of souffle pancake, which is another hot trendy dish in Honolulu. It was very jiggly and light, and not very sweet at all. We rounded out our meal with the lox bagel, which was fine, but outshined by the other two dishes.

Yelp
Aloha kitchen is popular. Expect to wait an average of 25 to 45 minutes, especially thur-sun, unless you get lucky. They open at 7am which is when many tourists are already up and about. Waitlist is done traditionally, writing your name on a sheet. The restaurant is quite small with booths and tables. It can only house maybe 45 customers, but they provide food quickly. And the food was worth the wait! Portion sizes are generous, so you may want to consider sharing. I recommend the kalua benedict, which was savory and the berry souffle pancake, based on a server's recommendation. The souffle was soft and fluffy, with a perfect balance of sweetness. Drink options are limited. The food is what you look forward to here! Overall, staff was mostly friendly. One staff member seemed to be having an off day, given she seemed bothered when taking our drink order. Also, given that they have a large number of people waiting, once you get your initial meal, you're not asked if you would like to order more or given drink refills. Restaurant does have a single bathroom. Helpful with the long wait.
