I have no idea how they get the prices of these fruits and veggies to be so low, but they get it done, and I love them for it. We're talking steep discounts on seasonal things that make Costco look like Whole Foods. "Hey here's an entire bag of avocados for $2" type situations. They're singlehandedly increasing the fiber intake of our entire neighborhood.

Literally the only place I go for fresh produce, the prices are really good too! Plus everyone is sooo nice! I love them. Feels like family

Talk about value!! Great selection of vegetables and fruit; they tend to be very ripe and ready to use within 1-2 days, in general. Last week I purchased 20 lemons for $1, 4 oranges for $1, and 2 large cauliflower for $1, and tomatoes for 49 cents a pound. WOW! There is a butcher in the back and an offering of meat selection.

Cheap and affordable fruits, vegetables, meats and my favorite shrimp. Day 1 customer and always have variety and deals compared to others.

They have great seasonal produce! Everyone who works here is really nice. Everything is always fresh, and priced reasonably

If you are picking up "Too Good To Go" from here, don't waste your money. They gave you a big basket of vegetable and fruits, I had thrown 90% of the food cause it's rotten.

While the selection is slightly limited, it's all great quality and great prices for the season. One of my favorite places for produce.

Amazing selection of fruits and vegetables for the best price! They may look not so pretty as the fruits and veggies in Whole Foods but they are all in great quality I got a whole box and the cashier even offered to help carry the box to my car. Five stars!

This market sells a variety of fruits and vegetables depending on what's in season. Some of the stuff looks really fresh but some look really bruised and old. It just seems like a hit or miss depending on when you go and what they have in stock. I think their prices are on par with the lowest in Chinatown if not cheaper. I picked up a couple of lettuce 2 for $1. If I had bought these at Safeway, I probably would have paid around $2 for one. These will be great when I visit the Tilden Park Animal Farm to feed the animals. I think what surprised me about this place was that the people that work here were mostly not Chinese. There doesn't seem to be a language barrier issue. I thought they were very nice and respectful of the Chinese people that shop here.

I love coming here during my grocery errands in Chinatown. If it weren't for the pandemic, I probably wouldn't have discovered this grocery store right across the street from favorite boba spot- Golden Tea shop. Appears they relocated from a different block. I love this location. It's off the busier street which is better for me since I'm not one of aggressive asian drivers swooping in for parking or just even double parking. What I like about this shop? Whatever seasonal fruits and veggies are in season they have good pricing on them. They have so much they even display out on the sidewalk - making it a pleasant shopping experience without having to squeeze yourself through narrow aisles. They typically have amazing deals on somewhat indecent produce. If perfection doesn't bother you, then you'll enjoy the savings. My recent grabs has been their okra. They look healthy for a great price.

I couldn't give Aloha Market enough credit! These low prices are saving my life and fridge in this market . Next time you do your groceries, consider Aloha Market for produce. Their selection changes frequently, but they have the lowest prices, far beating any safeway or sprouts. I've gotten a whole case of mangos for $4!! You might catch the lucky day next time ;)

This is the best place for seasonal fresh produce! Everything is reasonably prices, and they have the best of whatever is in season at the time. Additionally, the staff there is really helpful. Once, I got two boxes of food, and an employee helped me carry an entire box down the block. I could not recommend this place more! If you are looking for fresh produce, come to Aloha first.

As I was walking around Chinatown, I noticed the large displays of fresh fruit in front of this store caught my eye and I decided to check it out. Out front, there were 14 count boxes of Ciruli brand champagne mangoes for $10, individual size watermelons for $1, and bananas for $.39 lb. Inside there were produce, such as zucchini, tomatoes, green onions and garlic and more fruits like apples, peaches, nectarines and pineapples, all at great prices. Different items come in stock on a day to day basis. A great store offering great prices on fruits and vegetables. I'll be back to check out them out on my shopping trips to Chinatown.

Aloha Market has a non Chinese cashier. so unusual. meat market not busy so didn't look. canned foods/condiments pricey. veggies stacked on the sidewalks and inside the store. buys: name brand bananaes (J) @.35 lb. -cheapest seen in awhile. -lots of people browsing/shopping here. probably some bargains somewhere.

Great market! Not a local, but I saw how well it was rated and had to stop by since I was in the area. I got a good amount of produce for ~$7.50. They provide bags (I don't think there's a fee) which was great for me to lug around the rest of my time exploring the city. I got some delish oranges, dragon fruit, and apples that I enjoyed throughout my stay. Made breakfast all the more sweeter. So I'm a fan

The reason why the produce is so cheap is because although it's open to the public..it directly services the low-income community (i.e. food stamps) If you check the demographic, a lot of seniors go there. Which may also help explain why their cashiers are a more diverse group. Last I was there , there was an Asian Cashier but she was in fact fluent in Spanish. In all, I've found some of the best & ripest produce at this shop time after time. Since they're continually getting fresh deliveries.

BEST PRICES IN CHINA TOWN! I'm new to the area (just moved from LA) and I found this cute little shop across the street from my new apartment. I really mean it when I say it's the cheapest, I know this because since moving here I have been exploring and checking out all the community has to offer. Mangos are sometimes $5 for 8, and a box of strawberries can go for $1 a pop. Staff is also very friendly and extremely patient with the elderly who often stop by. Love this place!

I've been shopping here for about 18 months. I like it because they have a variety and everything is very affordable. The owner and staff and very friendly and helpful. Even when the shoppers can be rude and unfriendly, the staff never respond harshly to all that. I frequent this market and have never had a bad experience. The mid morning to mid afternoon is busy so I usually go early morning or late afternoon so I can take my time and look around.

This is my go to produce market in Chinatown. There are always amazing deals. One time I got a box of 18 manila mangoes for $6. I usually am able to fill my backpack with veggies for around $7. There is always a limited selection, but if you go by regularly they have a lot of different items, just not all on the same day. Almost everything is pretty ripe so I try to get only what I need for the next 2 or 3 days. They take EBT. I usually go in the afternoon because it is a total zoo in the morning. It is so crowded in the morning that it can be hard to get by on the sidewalk. I think a lot of folks go in the morning to get the freshest fruit and veggies, but I find there is still lots of good stuff in the afternoon.

This is a market in Oakland's Chinatown, likely not owned by Chinese since the cashiers are Hispanic and they aren't open on Sundays. The fruit and veggies here are dirt cheap, 25-50% cheaper than the markets on 8th St Chinatown -- that is truly saying something because those markets are already cheap to begin with. That said, the fruits and veggies are also ripe (some very ripe) and ready to eat that day or in the next day or two, so fantastic if you need something to cook and eat that day, but maybe not the best choice if you need veggies/fruits for much later on in the week. There's also a meat counter in the back and other canned / packaged groceries and such, which I didn't buy since I was already loaded down with veggies and fruit.
